MODERN SLAVE DRIVERS
Five men in the business of exploiting human beings
were taken into custody and thrown behind bars days
before Valentine’s Day, as they should be.
Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s Human Trafficking Response Unit, in conjunction with Skull Games
Solutions and nearly a dozen other law enforcement
agencies, arrested the five individuals during a trafficking bust on February 12 at an Idabel motel.
The operation followed a two-day advanced human
trafficking training session, led by Drummond’s office
and Skull Games, in which 20 local law enforcement
officers participated.
Five individuals were detained on complaints of solicitation of prostitution and violations of the Computer
Crimes Act. The Idabel Police Department arrested Brian Farrell, William Chandler and Diego Canto Dereza.
The Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police arrested Charles
Wheat and the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lore Lewis.
“We appreciate the collaboration of our law enforcement partners across the state to stop human trafficking in its tracks,” Drummond said. “Training, action and
meaningful partnerships are key to combatting the evils
of human trafficking throughout Oklahoma.”
Participating with the Attorney General’ Office and
Skull Games was the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Pittsburgh County Sheriff’s Office, the Idabel
Police Department, Hochatown Police Department,
Clayton Police Department, McCurtain County Sheriff’s
Office, Choctaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department,
Valliant Police Department, Antlers Police Department,
Rattan Police Department and the Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office.

ROAD RAGE - Tailgating driver causes victim to
roll off highway
Facts of the case:
- Suspect tailgating victim on Highway 75
- Suspect starts to pass victim but collides with
victim’s SUV
- Victim’s SUV rolls down an embankment
- Victim taken to hospital
- Suspect arrested and taken to jail
The rest of the story:
On February 21st, 2026, around 10 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to
an Injury Crash on Highway 75 near Olympia Ave.
Officers arrived to find the victim with multiple non-life-threatening injuries, and
his SUV in a ditch off to the side of Highway 75’s northbound lanes. Paramedics
took him to the hospital for treatment.
Officers learned that the victim was driving northbound on the highway when
a driver, 34-year-old Jacob Strawn, started tailgating him. When the victim had
clearance to move into the other lane, Strawn also changed lanes, once again
getting close to the victim’s rear bumper.
Strawn finally started to pass the victim, saluting him with his middle finger,
before coming back over into the victim’s lane and colliding with the front fender.
The victim’s SUV left the highway and rolled down the embankment to the
right near Tulsa Hills. Another driver who was a witness to the collision called
911 for the victim.
The witness corroborated the victim’s story about the circumstances that led
to the collision.
Officers arrested and booked Strawn into the Tulsa County Jail for:
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- No insurance
- Expired tag

THAT'S METHED UP!
A Brevard County (Florida) deputy was out conducting
proactive patrols in January when he located a vehicle on
a dirt trail at a construction site. When he approached the
vehicle, he made contact with the driver, David Harvey, who
was sitting in the vehicle with a .22 caliber rifle on the passenger seat.
The deputy asked Harvey why he was on the property and Harvey told him he was
hunting and had no other purpose on the construction site. It was then discovered that
Harvey was a convicted felon, and that little addition to his resume prohibits him from
owning or possessing a firearm!!
During a probable cause search of his vehicle, the deputy found approximately 13g of
methamphetamine and glass smoking
pipes!!
Ultimately Harvey was charged with
armed trespassing, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of
controlled substance, and possession of
drug paraphernalia and is on No Bond!!

UNSOLVED COLD CASE
Selwyne Anette Richardson, 43, was last seen at her
home at the Crystal Bay Apartments near 21st Street
and Mingo Road in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. on November 5, 2006. She
was last seen in the company of her ex-boyfriend. This
year marks 20 years since Selwyne was last seen.
Concerns arose about her wellbeing when she failed
to pick up her child from her mother’s home. After not
hearing from her, her family checked her apartment. There was no sign of Selwyne. The
apartment looked as if she had just left, all her belongings were inside and the door
locked. At the time of her disappearance, she did not own a vehicle.
After her disappearance, traces of Selwyne’s blood was discovered in her ex-boyfriend’s truck. Despite the discovery, he maintained his innocence in connection to her
case. To this day no one, including the ex-boyfriend, has been charged. He was serving a
prison sentence for unrelated weapons charges but has since been released.
A note was later left on the vehicle of Edna Pitts, Selwyne’s mother, by an unknown
older black man driving a white Buick Skylark, according to witness accounts. It was written on a cheap napkin and said, “Look up under the part of the shop that he had added
on after your daughter became missing on Apache Shield “guy” shop on Apache”. Many
believe the note is about Allen Shields, a suspect in the murder of Neil Sweeney, 2008,
and a person of interest in the Angie Tucker case. Allen died by suicide during a hostage
standoff in 2011.
Selwyne is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She sometimes goes by the name Tina Pitts and she is often referred to by that name. That night
in 2006, she was wearing a gray and black hair weave with a ponytail. She has her ears
pierced, a scar on her right leg, a scar on her left thigh, tattoos on both arms, and noticeable stretch marks covering her entire body. It is known that she was grappling with
drug-related issues at the time of her disappearance. Selwyne is listed as # MP8313 in
NamUs and there are four comparisons for her DNA/dentals.
Selwyne is described as a fun and loving person who is a joy to be around. She was
very close to her family. Given the circumstances, foul play is suspected, as her family
is skeptical that she would willingly leave her children without communication. Her sister
Angie continues to search for her.
If you have any information on the disappearance of Selwyne Anette Richardson,
please contact the Tulsa Police Department at 918-596-9122, referencing case # 2006-
079084. You can also submit a tip anonymously to your local law enforcement agency.

Two men were taken into custody after they attempted to cheat a bank out of thousands of dollars in the
form of US bonds.
Dravian Lavar Sterling, 19, of Texarkana, TX., and
Malik Amir Brewer, 24, of Hot Springs national park,
Ark., were charged February 2 with felony uttering
forged instruments, in Bryan County District Court.
According to court information, Sterling and Brewer went to the Simmons Bank Branch on West Main
Street in Durant and attempted to cash a forged US
bond in the amount of “$16,000 or more”.
Bond was set at $10,000 each and they were ordered back to court on March 11 for their preliminary
hearing conference. If convicted, the crime is punishable by imprisonment in the State Penitentiary for a
term of not more than five (8) years, by a fine not to exceed $1,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

A Texas man has been arrested after police say he
drunkenly walked into a fast-food restaurant and assaulted the manager, who immediately responded to the attack with force.
On Sunday, Feb. 22, police were called to a Whataburger restaurant in Paris, Texas, following a report that a man
had entered the restaurant and became verbally abusive
to staff. After entering the restaurant and allegedly being
verbally abusive to staff, the man was asked to leave.
Before he left, the man allegedly threatened to “return and assault the manager” once
police exited the premises, according to an incident report viewed by PEOPLE.
The report further alleges that the man returned to the restaurant and “assaulted the
manager by striking him with his fist multiple times.” In a now-viral video captured by Billy
Jones, a customer inside the restaurant, a Whataburger employee can be seen responding to the attack by repeatedly hitting the man with a trash can.
Another employee attempted to fend off the attacker by striking him with a deep-fryer
basket, according to local outlet Fox 4.
Police later identified the suspect as 41-year-old Anthony William Newhuis, who was
located by officers in the restaurant’s parking lot, where he was found bleeding from the
head, according to the incident report.
Newhuis was arrested and charged with assault resulting in bodily injury, according to
jail records viewed by PEOPLE. He was also charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly “intentionally” flooded the cells of the Lamar County Jail, according to the incident
report issued by the Paris Police Department.
Newhuis was released from jail on Monday, Feb. 23, after posting a $2,000 surety bond
for the criminal mischief charge and a $2,500 bond on the assault charge. A court date
on the charges has not yet been set.

DOESN'T PLAY NICE
A Choctaw County man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he carried out two
armed robberies on consecutive days tied to online
marketplace meetups.
According to reports, 18-year-old Derick Sorrells
of Hugo allegedly committed the robberies that occurred on January 28 and January 29 at the Meadowview Apartments.
The first incident happened January 28 during a
planned sale arranged through an online marketplace. The victim told police he agreed to meet an interested buyer at the apartment
complex.
After completing the transaction, the victim realized the cash he was given was fake
and labeled as “movie prop money,” according to documents. Authorities say one of
the men then pulled out a pistol, struck the victim in the head and stole several items,
including a PlayStation 5, a silver Cartice watch, and a pair of Nike Jordan sneakers.
The following day, Sorrells allegedly robbed another man who responded to a separate marketplace meetup at the same complex.
The second victim told police he was instructed to drive to Hugo to meet the buyer.
After arriving, he encountered three men who allegedly robbed him at gunpoint and
struck him in the face with a pistol. The suspects took the seller’s PlayStation 5 and
told him to run.
Responding officers later questioned Sorrells at the apartment where one of the
robberies occurred. He apparently denied involvement in the robberies, but a victim
later confirmed his identity after officers took a photo of him for reference.
Sorrells is being charged with two counts of first-degree robbery and two counts of
assault and battery with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $150,000, and he is
scheduled to appear in court on March 31, 2026.

An Ohio woman is facing charges after police say she
punched an officer in the face while under the influence.
Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Feb. 16
on 3rd Street SW in Canton.
Police say Jade Cain and her boyfriend, Alan King, had
caused problems at the address before.
When officers arrived, body camera video shows King’s mother outside on the sidewalk, who
started filling them in on the ongoing issues between the couple.
Police say that’s when Cain and King came out of the house. Cain started arguing with the family
almost immediately, according to the report.
Officers said Cain appeared to be under the influence of something and couldn’t stop talking.
Officers later discovered Cain had ingested hand sanitizer.
According to the report, one officer decided to detain her in a patrol cruiser to get the investigation
moving.
That’s where things got physical. While officers walked her to the cruiser, Cain went limp and
dropped to the ground.
Once at the cruiser, Cain sat down briefly, and the body camera footage shows her asking for a
shoe.
Police say she then swung her left hand and hit the officer in the face with her fist. The officer is
shown in the video slamming the door shut.
Another officer arrives on the scene shortly after and talks to the family before Cain is taken to the
Stark County Jail.
At the jail, police say they put Cain in a holding room. Cain reportedly started kicking the door and
banging her head against it.
At some point, she slipped her left hand out of the handcuffs and started slamming the cuffs
against the cell door window, cracking and shattering the glass.
Cain was charged with assaulting a peace officer and vandalism.
She is expected back in court on February 24.
