STRANGER DANGER
A 26-year-old Stillwater man allegedly threatened to
stab a fellow customer at a fast food restaurant on February 27. He then allegedly kicked a police officer when
he was arrested a few days later.
According to reports, a Stillwater police officer was
dispatched to the restaurant located on W. McElroy at
approximately 9:41 a.m. due to an assault. A customer
told the officer that he saw a man, later identified as
Helmer Jaime Blair, pull a knife on another person inside the restaurant.
The customer said a “short white male” was hopping around and appeared to be extremely agitated.
At some point, he ran toward another man and said,
“What’s up, little boy?” He then pulled out a knife from his jacket pocket.
The victim left the area immediately. He said he didn’t know the guy who had
pulled a knife on him and had no idea why he was being so aggressive.
The suspect was later identified as Blair after surveillance photos of him were
posted online.
On March 3, at approximately 10:56 p.m., officers were sent to the 400 block
of W. Maple. A suspicious man kept asking a woman for the keys to her vehicle.
When officers arrived at the location, they saw a man matching the description of
the restaurant suspect in a parking lot. When the man saw the officers, he took
off running.
An officer warned Blair to stop running or he was going to get tased. Blair said
no and kept running. An officer tackled him to the ground.
Blair started resisting and pulled away from the officer. He also kicked the officer
in the leg.
Officers were eventually able to subdue the man and place him under arrest.
According to court documents, Blair has a history of drug and property crimes,
and he has repeatedly violated his probations.
Blair is being charged with assault, battery, or assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and battery/assault on a police officer after the former conviction
of a felony. His bond was set at $11,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on April 4, 2022.

HOLDENVILLE TEACHERS AID ARRESTED AND FACING MULTIPLE
CHARGES AFTER INAPPROPRIATE RELATIONSHIP WITH A STUDENT
Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation (OSBI) Internet Crimes Against
Children (ICAC) Task Force arrested 26-yearold Logan Elizabeth Gibbs after an investigation into an inappropriate sexual relationship
she was having with a student.
On March 3, 2022, the Hughes County
Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI ICAC assistance with this investigation. A Holdenville
school district administrator contacted the
sheriff’s office after learning about Gibbs having sex with a male student. During the investigation, the male student disclosed that
Gibbs had sent him nude photos and requested nude photos of him be sent to her.
Gibbs was arrested this morning at her Holdenville home without incident.
She is currently in the Hughes County Jail facing the following charges:
• Rape in Second Degree (two counts)
• Solicitation of a Minor (two counts)
• Lewd or Indecent Proposal to a Child (two counts)
• Displaying of Material Harmful to Minor (two counts)
• Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act (two counts)
If you suspect a child is being sexually abused or exploited, contact the
OSBI or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THELOST or www.cybertipline.com.

SAPULPA MAN SENTENCED TO 30 YEARS IN
PRISON FOR SEXUALLY ABUSING TWO CHILDREN
A Sapulpa man, who was arrested after a
young child ran away from him and reported
his sex abuse crimes to a federal agent in a
restaurant parking lot, was sentenced last
month for sexually abusing two young victims,
announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.
U.S. District Judge Gregory K. Frizzell sentenced Andrew Lee Gibbs, 64, to 30 years in
federal prison followed by five years of supervised release.
“A young victim ran from her abuser Andrew
Gibbs unknowingly into the hands of a Homeland Security Investigations agent with 10 years
of experience working crimes against children,” said U.S. Attorney Clint
Johnson. “Every day, I am reminded of the strength exhibited by victims
of crime and of the dedication exhibited by agents and officers sworn to
protect communities across Oklahoma. Both are critical to the successful
prosecution of dangerous criminals.”
In October 2021, a federal jury found Gibbs guilty of abusive sexual contact of a minor in Indian Country and aggravated sexual abuse of a minor
in Indian Country.
The jury found that on March 7, 2021, Gibbs knowingly touched the first
victim in a sexual manner. They further found that on the same day, the
defendant sexually abused a second child, who was also under the age of
12. After the sexual assaults, one of the children broke away from Gibbs,
and eventually ran up to a man in a restaurant parking lot, told him that the
defendant did an “unsafe touch,” and begged the man for help. The man,
who happened to be a Homeland Security Investigations special agent,
then called 911. Gibbs soon arrived, but the child accused him of abuse.
He left then returned a few minutes later with the child’s mother. When she
heard of the abuse, she removed her remaining children from his vehicle.
A Child Abuse Forensic Interviewer later spoke with both victims who
stated that Gibbs, an adult they had trusted, sexually abused them in his
vehicle during an outing to a park. Following the visit to the park, Gibbs
took the children to a nearby store where one ran away and sought help.
“These young victims should have been enjoying time with friends and
going to school, not worrying about being abused for Mr. Gibbs’ own sexual gratification” said Edward Gray, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI
Oklahoma City Division. “The potential damage done to the children by his
depravity will likely outlast his punishment. Help us protect our community’s children by reporting other violent predators to your local law enforcement agency or the FBI.”

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

Randy Linn Emberton, 34, of Hartshorne, allegedly broke into a residence and ate some
food on December 5.
According to the police report, a Lincoln
County deputy was dispatched to the 500
block of First Street in Prague at approximately
2:40 p.m. to investigate a burglary in progress.
The suspect had left the residence, but offices
found the man lying on a rock near a pond.
He appeared to be in medical distress, so he
was transported to a hospital via ambulance.
He also identified himself as Joshua White - the
man would later be identified as Emberton.
On February 25, a deputy emailed a photo of the burglary suspect to the
Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation for assistance in identification.
An agent with the OBN responded on February 28 and identified the
suspect as Emberton.
On March 2, the deputy contacted a Hartshorne officer and asked if he
was familiar with Emberton. The officer said that he was; seems Emberton
has a rap sheet of violent crimes a mile long in multiple Eastern Oklahoma
counties. He positively identified the suspect in the photo to be Emberton.
On March 3, shortly after noon, officers went to a residence on the
southwest corner of Modac Street and S. Eighth Street. They met with
Emberton and asked to speak with him. They showed him three different
pictures of himself, one of them being the photo of the Prague burglary
suspect.
Emberton identified himself in each photo.
When an officer advised one of the photos was from a burglary, the man
said he wanted to speak to a lawyer.
On the way to the Lincoln County Jail, Emberton allegedly gave a full
confession of the burglary. He said he went to the front door of the residence but it was locked, so he went to the back. The back door was
unlocked so he went inside and ate some food.
The homeowner’s relative approached him on the back porch. Emberton left the area and walked up to a pond. After crossing the pond, he was
cold, so he took off his wet clothes and laid down on a rock. He also said
he lied about his name - he also said he lied about his name to get free
healthcare at the local hospitals.
Emberton is being charged with burglary in the second degree and obstructing an officer. His bond was set at $3,000, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 1, 2022.

GUTHRIE, OK
PISTOL PACKIN’ MOMMA
A mom from Logan County is being charged
with domestic assault for allegedly shooting her
son during an argument on March 20.
According to reports, Logan County deputies
were dispatched to Cottonwood Hills Road in
Cashion. The reporting party, identified as Pamela Leeper, told police that her son had already
moved out, but he was trying to break into her
home. She also told police that her son had fired
a shotgun.
Leeper explained to a deputy that she had
evicted her son from her property, but he came
back to get an RV. She said her son started yelling
at her and charged her, so she went inside and
called 911. While she was inside, she said her son
fired a sawed-off shotgun.
A deputy searched the area, but he didn’t find any shotgun casings. He did,
however, find a belt and vehicle with blood on them. He asked Leeper if she
had fired a gun at her son. She reportedly told him, “Yes, I was trying to scare
him away from me. I wouldn’t shoot my son.” She added that she hid the gun,
a black .380 pistol, in the couch between the cushion and the arm rest. The
deputy retrieved the gun.
Deputies asked Leeper for a written statement. She wrote, “I got in the
house and got my gun to tell him to leave my property. He laughed at me and
jumped again on to the fence next to me and said haha you have no bullets.
So, I shot a round to scare him away.” She also said she didn’t see her son
fire a shotgun - she just assumed that it was him.
The woman’s son and a witness also gave police written statements regarding the incident. They said that Leeper aimed at her son’s chest when she
fired the pistol. Leeper instead insisted that she pointed the gun toward some
trash bags that were on the front porch.
Leeper is being charged with domestic assault and battery with a deadly
weapon. Her bond was set at $50,000, and she is scheduled to appear in
court on April 28, 2022.
