Twenty-six people were arrested in
early November during a two-day sweep
of a prostitution ring in Stillwater.
The sting, notably called “Operation
Dragon Slayer,” was conducted
cooperatively by the Stillwater police
and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
Those arrested range in age from 19
to 66 years old. Reports state several
OSU students were involved, along with
a prominent fraternity and sorority
director.
No charges have yet to be filed against
Alan Bonner, 66, but he was taken into
custody and jailed on Nov. 9. At the time of his arrest, he was
the National Executive Director of the honorary band fraternity
Kappa Kappa Psi and sorority Tau Beta Sigma. He is currently on
paid administrative leave at the programs and they are awaiting
the legal process to take its course, according to reports.
OBN Director Mark Woodward said they did not make any
rescues and all of them said they were not forced into the
prostitution ring.

Two armed robberies
occurred this past
weekend at different
locations in Stillwater.
The locations are in the
same general area of
town and details of the
robberies, including
descriptions of the
suspect and behavior,
are very similar.
The first robbery took place on November 30 at approximately
10:15pm in the parking lot of an apartment complex located at
1001 N. Perkins Rd. The suspect, armed with a semi-automatic
handgun, demanded the victim hand over his cell phone, wallet
and backpack. Following the robbery the suspect fled the area
northbound on foot.
At 11:11pm on December 1, a similar robbery took place in the
parking lot of another apartment complex located at 1807 N.
Hartford. After being robbed at gunpoint of his cell phone, wallet
and backpack, the victim was ordered to lie on the ground while
the suspect fled the area westbound on foot.
Although it cannot be determined at this time whether these
crimes were committed by the same suspect, several similarities
between the two would indicate a high probability of this. The
suspect in both robberies is described as a black male of unknown
age, between 5’-8” and 6’ tall, wearing a dark bandana over his
face and armed with a black semi-automatic handgun. The victims
in both incidents were men by themselves carrying backpacks in
apartment complex parking lots.
Citizens are asked to be on alert for any suspicious behavior and
are asked to call the Stillwater Police Department 405-372-4171
if they observe any suspicious activity or have any information to
offer on these robberies.

On Friday, October 18, an Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against
Children Task Force member from the Edmond Police Department
arrested Stephen DeWayne Huckeba, 52, at his residence. The case
was initiated by an Edmond detective into the distribution of child
pornography on the Internet. Huckeba distributed more than a
dozen child pornography videos to the detective.
Task force members from the Edmond Police Department,
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Oklahoma Attorney
General’s Office, with the assistance of the Logan County Sheriff’s
Office, served a search warrant at Huckeba’s residence, 200 East
Rock Circle Drive in southern Logan County.
During the search of the residence, several computer-related items
were located and seized. Huckeba admitted to the Edmond detective that he distributed and
possessed child pornography images and videos.
The computer items will be taken to the Edmond police computer laboratory for forensic
examination. The case is still under investigation to determine if any local children are in any
of the images.
Huckeba was booked into the Logan County Jail and is charged with one count of
distribution of child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography, and
violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

What you’re saying
about this on...
Valerie W: R.I.P Prayers go out to the family.
Shawna A: THOUGHTS FOR THIS
FAMILY .
Jay A: Sad.
Janae Marie H: PRAYERS
Brittany W: Why do we have such lenient laws for drinking and driving?!?
This man needs LWOP at the minimum!
This poor boy and his poor parents. I can’t
even imagine....
Jerry D: Things like this makes me wonder why alcohol is legal, but other way
less dangerous things are illegal.
Sabrah B: No im not a weed smoker but I
know ppl. But why is this legal? How many
accidents or deaths caused of alcohol? A
lot! Now how many accidents or death has
weed caused? Answer that one. This world
is getting way outta hand. My heart hurts
for this family I couldn’t imagine. Prayers
for this boy and his family!
Jerry D: Not only the dangers of drinking and driving, but health related damage and
mental and physical abuse. Alcohol hurts
thousands a year. Yet its legal. Weed on
the other hand helps people, no reported
deaths or ODs, but yet its illegal. Makes
perfect sense.
Desiree H: Very sad. What was he doing riding his bike at 11:00pm. That man
should’ve been driving and that little boy
should’ve never have been out that late
riding his bike. He should’ve been at home
in his pj’s. Everyone dropped the ball on
this one.
Jerry D: Most parents now days could care less what there kids are doing as
long as they don’t bother the parents. Sad
indeed.
Jennifer R: I was wondering the same thing. I hope that he was coming back
from something at school or church, not
just running the streets at that time. So
sad for the family. I hope they find justice
LittleWeasel W: But wait according to folks who love to get drunk. Alcohol has
never hurt anyone.
Virginia I: No blame except for the person who hit the child, A family has lost
a son,brother,grandchild,friend May God
protect and cover this family in this awful
time
Ruby H: Billy was riding his bike home from a church event called eternal
fraternity. It’s something for kids to do on
Friday and Saturday nights.
Amy S: Who gives a sh** what the boy was doing out that late. For Christs sake,
is it the parents fault now that he was
allowed to leave the home? For buying him
a bike? What about what his brother had
to witness? How his parents feel? You’re
first thought is “why was he out that late”?
Pathetic. Really pathetic. Tragedy happens
everyday and people are always looking for
someone to pass the blame to. God bless
everyone involved in this tragedy.
Abe T: A life has been taken and all you people can worry bout why he was out late
the real ? Why was the man drinking and
driving the kid could have been in another
car and the man driving drunk could still
have killed that kid by hitting another
vehicle this a little kid who didn’t know
he was gonna die riding his bike home but
the man knew drinking and driving could
kill someone and it did so think about
that you heartless people if it was your kid
you wouldn’t be saying things like we’re
was the parents news flash kids get hit by
people driving drunk during the day too
Dustin K: judgemental a** people, i swear.... it doesnt matter what the kid
was doing. his life is over and you people
wanna blame his parents?
Stephanie S: Where in this story does it
say he was riding a bike? It’s horrible to
hear ANOTHER person has lost a life due
to stupidity...but where am I missing the
bike part?
Taken too soon
A 12-year-old Wagoner boy was killed Nov. 9 by a driver suspected of being under the influence of alcohol. Chief
of Police Bob Haley said the boy was riding home with his
brother when he was hit by an SUV.
Haley said the two brothers were northbound on North
Story Avenue near N.E. Ninth Street just before 11 p.m. Billy
Lord, 12, was struck by a northbound SUV driven by Richard Roth of Wagoner.
Roth left the scene but later returned, Haley said.
The other brother was not injured.
Haley said Roth, 34, was booked on anticipated charges of manslaughter
and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Any other charges will
await the results of a blood test, but police do have reason to suspect alcohol
is a factor, he said.

Police in Sapulpa busted a would-be
burglar Nov. 11 after he decided to burglarize a car for a guitar, witnesses said.
Around 3:30 a.m. that day, officer
Adam Carner received a call from dispatch saying a car at the Sapulpa Family Video was broken into, and witnesses saw a white car with tinted windows
leaving the scene. A minute later, Carner
saw a white Nissan driving on U.S. 66,
and the driver was driving left of center,
so Carner initiated a traffic stop and approached Travis Williams.
Immediately after the stop, Williams
was shaking and acting like he was hiding something. Carner noticed he had a guitar on the passenger seat of his car, and while
Carner was waiting for information about Williams’ driving record,
he overheard officers on the radio say a guitar was stolen from the
car at Family Video. A description of the guitar matched the one in
Williams’ car, Carner said.
Williams, when prompted, said the guitar was his and he’s had it
“for a long time.” He was arrested and taken to the Sapulpa City Jail,
and during the trip Williams said he just picked the car up from his
cousin, who may have taken the guitar earlier that day.
At the jail, Williams then said his nephew had the car and he just
met him to pick it up. He wouldn’t provide the names of anybody
else who could have taken the guitar, however, and he kept asking
officers to let him go. He would pay for any damages to the car if they
decided not to book him, Williams said.
Williams was charged with second-degree burglary and knowingly
concealing stolen property. He last appeared in court at 1:30 p.m.
Dec. 4.
Williams remains in custody on bonds totaling more than $20,000.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
Hello to all, and Happy
Thanksgiving! By the time you
read this, you will have probably made all your holiday travel plans,
if you are going somewhere, or have people coming to your home to
celebrate. The roadways will be extra busy, and with a lot of people
traveling at the same time, the chances for accidents also go way
up. I’m going to give a few tips on how to minimize your chances
of being involved in an accident, and some ways to help insure your
holidays are safe.
Every year, we work a lot of accidents on people who are “running
late”. Speed plays a major role in accidents, as well as the severity of
an accident. Speed decreases reaction time, which a driver needs to
be able to react to anything that happens in front of them. What is
the best thing you can do to not be “running late”? Simply plan your
holiday travel a little in advance. You know what time you and your
family get off work, or get out of school, so plan your departure time
accordingly. Give yourself plenty of time for delays, bathroom and
snack stops, etc. Also, if you are running late, its OK! The people
you are going to see would rather you be late, than not arrive at all
because you were involved in an accident.
Another major factor in holiday accidents are a result of
celebrating, and then making a bad decision. I’m not going to tell
you not to enjoy your holiday, and if partaking in some egg nog or
other alcoholic drink is part of your celebration, that’s fine. Just
don’t decide to drive after you drink. Drinking and driving is a
decision, not an accident. Planning here goes a long way towards
a safe holiday. If you know you are going to drink, plan on staying
where you are, or have a designated driver.
Another thing you can do to stay safe is wear your seat belt. The
accident may not be your fault, and you may be doing everything
right, and could still end up in the hospital or worse, because you
didn’t have your seatbelt on. Even minor accidents can cause
significant damage to us if we are not properly restrained. Every
Trooper on the road has worked a fatality accident which we all
know in our heart would not have resulted in death had the person
been using a seatbelt. It takes no time to put on, but it may be the
most important thing you can do this holiday season.
To sum up, slow down and enjoy the holiday season! Plan ahead,
and use a designated driver or stay put if you use alcohol in your
celebrations. No one wants to spend the holidays in a hospital or
worse!
Holidays are for celebration, so lets take care of ourselves and
each other. Thanks for listening, buckle up and drive safe.
Tips from a Trooper

A cracked windshield, a bent car antenna and a broken flip
phone were the ingredients in an Edmond man’s felony arrest
on assault complaints Nov. 19.
Just before 1 a.m. that day, Logan County sheriff’s deputy
Shawn Lewellyn was dispatched to a report of a fight in the
front yard of a home. When he arrived, another deputy said
the suspect ran into the house, so Lewellyn ran to the back to
make sure the suspect, Richard Barrett, didn’t try to run away.
Police got consent from the homeowner to search the house
for Barrett, and during the search she said Barrett assaulted
her and her sister. While she filled out a statement, Lewellyn
found Barrett lying on the ground alongside the fence. However, Barrett refused to show the officers his hands to cuff,
prompting them to force his hands behind his back.
During the arrest, Barrett smelled overwhelmingly of alcohol and kept acting like he was
either going to pass out or throw up. EMS personnel said he was medically cleared and told
police he was “just drunk.” Eventually, after some assistance, Barrett walked to the officers’
patrol car.
Once Barrett was detained, the homeowner’s sister said Barrett grabbed her from behind
and choked her until she was unconscious when she tried to get out of the house. She didn’t
know how long she was knocked out, but once she came to, she got in her car and locked the
doors. Barrett didn’t like that, however, so he beat on the windshield until it cracked. She had
marks on both sides of her neck and on her left shoulder, and her phone was broken as well,
Lewellyn noted.
The homeowner said Barrett grabbed her and threw her to the ground, which caused her
to get a cut on her forehead. However, she didn’t want to cooperate with pressing charges
against him.
Barrett faces a charge of aggravated assault and battery, misdemeanor assault and battery,
obstruction, malicious injury to property and public intoxication. He posted a $15,000 bond
Nov. 20 and has court set for 9 a.m. Dec. 19.

“Be of sober spirit,

Everything was going

The Bible says you

A Chandler man was locked up behind bars after police
found drugs in his vehicle.
According to the affidavit, a Chandler police officer was on
patrol when he saw a vehicle traveling toward him with a
missing headlight. He pulled the vehicle over and saw the
driver look back at him.
He made contact with the driver, Patrick David Heinze,
34, and recognized the passenger as Marcus Gene White, 53.
The officer checked Heinze’s license through dispatch and
was informed that he had a prior drug offense. The officer
returned to the vehicle and noticed that Heinze appeared
to be nervous and kept shifting around in his seat. He was
unable to complete full sentences and could not find his
insurance verification.
White also appeared to be nervous and told the officer
that he wanted to walk to the store because his stomach was
upset.
The officer asked Heinze if he had anything illegal in his
vehicle and Heinze said he did not. The officer asked if
he could search the vehicle, and although Heinze initially
questioned the officer, he consented to a search. The officer
found a cellophane wrapper with two oval pills inside, which
were later identified as hydrocodone and Tylenol.
Heinze told the officer that he had a prescription for them,
but only brought a couple of them in case he needed them.
The officer asked him if he had anything else illegal.
Heinze said he might have some insulin and more pills. The
officer found eight more pills in Heinze’s pocket. Heinze insisted he had a prescription;
the officer told him to have someone bring the bottle.
White was allowed to leave the scene and walk to the store.
Police told Heinze that they believed he was selling the pills to White. Heinze said that
he was not.
An officer asked Heinze why there were two pills in his car but eight in his pocket.
Heinze said that his pockets were loose and some fell out.
White returned to the scene as a passenger in another car and stated that he needed
his keys. Police asked him if he had been trying to purchase the pills. He said yes, but
that he did not have the money. He left the location.
Over a couple of trips, a friend brought three pill bottles to show that Heinze had a
prescription. The officer called the pharmacy and asked when the pills had last been
refilled. He was told Nov. 10, 2013. The pill bottle for that date, which had been filled
for 90 pills, was empty.
Police placed Heinze under arrest and transported him to jail.
Later that day, police went to White’s residence and placed him under arrest for
possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
Heinze is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with
intent to distribute. He was released on a $7,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on Feb. 24, 2014.

A Stroud man was arrested for drunk
driving after he drank a 6-pack of beer to
ease his sorrows before getting behind the
wheel of his truck.
On Nov. 19, Stroud police received a call
about a possible drunk driver, according to
the affidavit. An officer located the suspect
vehicle and turned on his lights to pull the
vehicle over, observing as it swerved back
and forth across the road. The officer also
saw that the driver kept bending over and
reaching under the passenger seat.
The suspect eventually brought his truck
to a stop and the officer made contact with the driver, 33-year-old
Michael Derrick Harney.
The officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol, and he asked
Harney if he had been drinking. Harney told him that he had
consumed a six-pack because he and his girlfriend had been in an
argument.
The officer asked for Harney’s license, but Harney told him he
didn’t have one.
Harney agreed to submit to a standardized field sobriety test. He
was unable to complete the tests, so the officer placed him under
arrest.
During an inventory of Harney’s vehicle, the officer found an open
bottle of beer in the front passenger floorboard. He asked Harney
if he wanted to take the state’s blood test, but the belligerent man
replied, “I’m not taking your f------ needle test.”
Harney continued his belligerence on the way to the jail and kept
trying to get the officer to pull to the side of the road. He asked the
officer to take his cuffs off so he could kick the officer’s a--.
No roadway fight happened between the officer and the drunk
man.
Harney is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while
under the influence of alcohol, driving with license suspended and
transporting an open container of beer. He is being held on a $5,000
bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 12, 2013.
