third time’s a charm?
A Stillwater man with a history of indecent
exposure was locked up for his third charge
after people reportedly saw him walking down
the street with his shorts hanging around his
knees on May 7.
According to reports, a Stillwater officer
was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Perkins Road near Walmart to investigate reports
of a man walking down the road holding his
shirt up with his shorts around his knees, exposing his junk to everyone.
The officer found the suspect on Third Avenue east of Perkins Rd.
The suspect, 25-year-old William Fischer
Hopper, seemed very nervous. He told the officer he had been working out and was walking to Walmart to buy some protein supplements. The reporting party came to the scene and positively identified the
man as the genitalia-flashing suspect.
This wasn’t the first time Hopper had gotten in trouble for exposing himself
to unsuspecting victims. Reports state that he did it to a Domino’s delivery
driver in September 2017. The driver said he handed the pizza to Hopper,
who was clad in a white robe. When the driver went back to his vehicle, he
saw movement at the front door of Hopper’s apartment. Hopper took off his
robe, exposing himself, then started to perform sexual acts while nude.
The driver told his boss, who remembered a previous incident when the
man had exposed himself to another driver in June.
When an officer confronted Hopper about exposing himself to the driver,
Hopper said it hadn’t happened before, but explained, “Hey, I made 20 bucks
out of the deal.” He said his fraternity brother bet him to do it. Hopper promised not to do it again.
Hopper is being charged with indecent exposure. His bond was set at
$5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 12, 2018.

felon on probation arrested
after police chase
A Slick man was locked up for leading
police on a chase through Creek County
on May 3.
According to the police report, a Creek
County deputy was on patrol when he saw
a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway
48 neat 256th Street South around 6:18
p.m. The vehicle was going 74 mph in a
65 mph zone.
The deputy turned on his lights and siren in an attempt to stop the vehicle, but
the driver accelerated and turned east on
241st Street South. The chase continued
north on Oak with the suspect running through several stop signs.
The deputy eventually lost sight of the vehicle at West 226th Street
and 337th West Avenue. The car also matched the description of a
vehicle spotted at several burglaries.
Another deputy who saw the vehicle during the pursuit identified
the driver as 18-year-old Curtis Lee Murphy.
The deputy later received a call that the suspect car, which was
registered to Murphy, had been abandoned in a ditch just west of
417th West Avenue on 201st Street South. Inside the vehicle, the
deputy found two handguns that matched some guns stolen during a burglary the night before. He also found a social security card
belonging to one of the burglary victims. Loose rounds of ammunition were all over the car, and a small baggy containing a green
leafy substance was in the seat. The substance tested positive for
marijuana.
Later that day, officers were advised the man had been spotted
near Highway 66 headed west at the county line. An officer and
his K-9 found Murphy in the area and placed him under arrest. The
man had a broken glass pipe with a burnt reside that field tested
positive for meth in his possession.
Murphy was on DOC probation and had been convicted of previous felonies at the time of his arrest.
Murphy is being charged with eluding/attempting to elude police
officer, possession of firearm after former felony conviction, knowingly concealing stolen property, possession of controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He
is scheduled to appear in court on June 8, 2018.

couple arrested on first-degree
murder- child abuse charges
A 19-year-old Wellston woman was
locked up on May 13 after her child died
from injuries allegedly due to child abuse.
According to the affidavit, the child
passed away while being transported to an
Oklahoma City hospital for his injuries. He
was pronounced dead when they arrived
at the hospital.
The child’s mother, Judith Cheyann
Danker, told officers conflicting reports of
what happened to the child.
A medical examination revealed external bruises and marks on the child’s body.
One of the marks appeared to have been
made by a shoe. Danker admitted to hitting the child with a flip flop. She indicated
she may have hit him hard enough to leave
an imprint on his body.
Danker said she wished she would have
waited to discipline her child, because she
was angry when she slapped him with the
shoe. She also said she struck the boy with
numerous other items around the same
time, including belts and plastic spoons.
Reports state that in addition to the
marks and bruises, the child had a diaper rash that eventually
turned into a bad infection. The infection caused the child to go into
cardiac arrest, which is why he was being taken to the hospital.
Danker said the 2-year-old had not seen a doctor in a year. She
admitted to knowing about the infection, which had continued to
worsen.
Danker is being charged with murder in the first degree- child
abuse. No bond was set, and she is scheduled to appear in court
on June 7, 2018.
On May 15, authorities also arrested Danker’s boyfriend, Khristian
Tyler Martzall, 27, and he was also charged with murder in the first
degree- child abuse.

This is a great conversation to have with
your friend’s treatment provider. Different
patients need different levels of support. If
there are difficult dynamics in a family group
or set of friends, the counselor may recommend little contact for a while. It is important
to tell friends struggling with addiction that
you admire their courage for tackling this
medical problem directly through treatment
and that as long as they stick with the treatment plan, you will offer encouragement
and support. When residential treatment is over, your friend will have to re-enter
the community and it will be a difficult time. There will be triggers everywhere that
could promote a relapse—such as driving by places where the person once took
drugs, or seeing friends who provided those drugs. You can encourage your friend
to avoid these triggers, and you can make an effort to ask him or her what those
triggers are. However, people addicted to drugs have to fight much of this struggle
on their own, without the help and advice of friends, using the knowledge and
skills learned in treatment. Offer as much love and support you can as long as your
friend continues to follow the treatment plan. If your he or she relapses, you should
encourage additional treatment.
If my friend does go into treatment,
how can I offer support?

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty 19 | JUNE 2018 LINCOLN COUNTY
A man in Minneapolis was caught walking along the intersection of a road…
wearing a pair of high heels. And. Nothing. Else. To sicken your mental picture
even further, he’s 63 years old. He ran through the snow and hopped in his car
when he saw the police following. Luckily, they tracked him down and arrested
him before he showed up on the cover of Vogue.
A man in Houston was caught on camera while trying to cash a stolen check.
His identity is unknown, and is therefore known as the “Have You Seen My
Zombie?” Dude, because of what’s written on his t-shirt. According to witnesses, he also has glasses, and interesting red facial hair. No word yet on where
the zombie is.
A man in Miami, tripping out on bath salts (a new faux-cocaine trend), starting
knocking on neighbors’ doors saying he needed an ambulance. He was frustrated when the police showed up, and caused even more trouble. He scraped
his teeth across the hood of a police car after being handcuffed. It surprisingly
made quite a scratch.
A woman in Indiana came home one night to find a man seated in one of
her chairs. He refused to leave, even after the police were called, apparently
believing that this was his home. He had even done some household chores.
The laundry was folded, floors were vacuumed, and there was some chicken
cooking on the stove. I bet this is one crime most of us wouldn’t mind being
victims of.
A rather large man decided he was in desperate need of some socks. So
desperate, in fact, that he entered Wal-Mart at night to steal them. Wearing…
absolutely nothing. Maybe it was a political statement, maybe he was trying
to do a Red Hot Chili Peppers type-thing….who knows? To make matters
stranger, he refused to comply with police officers until they subdued him with
a stun gun.
Two grown brothers in Pennsylvania were sharing a McDonald’s brownie when apparently one became enraged. He picked up three (three?) steak
knives, and began to slash and stab his shocked brother. This is not his first
stabbing incident. The other probably involved a McFlurry.
A man was convicted of using paper clips instead of the usual stainless steel
posts when treating root canals. Ouch. He was sentenced to a year in jail,
having already been fined for assault, battery, defraud, illegal prescriptions, and
witness intimidation. Not exactly the kind of man you want sticking his fingers
down your throat. Then again, who is?

Jacki Wolfington 24-7 Statewide Service
A burglary suspect’s security camera selfies
helped officials identify him as the main culprit in
a string of thefts that occurred in Oklahoma and
Texas.
According to reports, Choctaw man Charles
Rebert broke into several businesses in Blackwell,
Calvin, Guthrie, Okemah, Wetumka and Sherman,
Texas, during his burglary spree.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation released a series of photos to the public showing
the 42-year-old in action and grinning at security
cameras on May 22, one day after his arrest for an
unrelated warrant out of Texas.
He was eventually apprehended by the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Officer on May 21.
Rebert is being charged with burglary in the second degree. A felony
arrest warrant in the amount of $100,000 has been filed in Logan County. Charges are pending in other jurisdictions.

June is Internet Safety Month
Computer interconnectivity
has produced enormous benefits, but has also enabled criminal activity that exploits this interconnectivity for financial gain
and other malicious purposes,
such as internet fraud, child
exploitation, identity theft, and
terrorism. The Internet can give
identity thieves, hackers, and
scammers online access to your computer, financial and personal information
and more. Additionally, today’s mobile devices are well integrated with the
internet and have far more functionality than mobile phones of the past. They
are increasingly used in the same way as personal computers, potentially
making them susceptible to similar threats affecting computers connected to
the Internet.
For youths, the internet often serves as a positive and powerful arena for
socializing and learning. However, the use of the internet also brings about
risks to their safety, including the dangers of sexual solicitation, online harassment and bullying, and exposure to illegal content. By discussing responsible socializing and communicating, parents -- regardless of whether they
are technologically savvy -- can help their kids make better decisions about
online behavior.
Efforts to address cybercrime include activities associated with protecting
networks and information, detecting criminal activity, investigating crime, and
prosecuting criminals, . The Administration has taken significant steps to better protect America against cyber threats and has developed a pragmatic
and focused cyber-security legislative proposal for Congress to consider. The
proposed legislation is focused on improving cyber-security for the American
people, our Nation’s critical infrastructure, and the Federal Government’s own
networks and computers.
