STILLWATER MEN ARRESTED FOR SEX
CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN
Two Stillwater men were put behind bars early
last month for allegedly sexually assaulting children.
According to reports, Stillwater police officers
were advised on June 2 that 44-year-old William
Victor Aldridge had assaulted a young child. The
man sexually assaulted a 6-year-old relative who
was spending the night at his house while she was
in the shower.
The victim’s mother became concerned when her
daughter was quiet and didn’t want to talk about
staying with Aldridge. The victim told her mom that
Aldridge instructed her to “keep it a secret.”
When police spoke to the victim, she said she
didn’t say anything to Aldridge because she was
scared.
In an unrelated incident, Stillwater officers and
detectives investigated another child sexual abuse
allegation leading them to Erick Michael Edmondson.
Both men were arrested on May 6.
Aldridge is being charged with rape by instrumentation and four counts of lewd molestation. His
bond was set at $100,000.
Edmondson is being charged with child sexual
abuse. Bond information was unavailable at the time of publication.
Both men are scheduled to appear in court on June 6, 2022.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A METER READER
THREATENING A WATER METER READER
WITH A KNIFE -- Man arrested in Midtown.
On May 5, around 2:30 p.m., Officers responded to a house near 13th and S. Birmingham Ave. The call was for an Assault
with a Deadly Weapon/pocketknife.
The victim, a water meter reader, said the
suspect, James Swatek, chased him with a
knife for several blocks and threatened to kill
him.
Before Officers arrived, Swatek retreated
into a house. Officers learned Swatek kicked
in the door to get into the house, which belongs to a relative who is currently out of the
country. The owner of the home said Swatek did not have permission to be
there.
Swatek initially did not comply, but eventually was taken into custody with
help from a K-9 Officer.
The day before, Officers responded to the same location. Two people reported that Swatek pointed a handgun at them. However, the two people did
not want to be victims of a crime, so Swatek was released that day.
Swatek is currently in the Tulsa County Jail. He was arrested for:
- Assault with a Deadly Weapon
- 2nd Degree Burglary
- Threatening a Violent Act

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY
Tulsa man Colton Lee Barnes, 27, was arrested in Creek County after a state trooper
found drugs and paraphernalia in his vehicle
during a traffic stop on May 7.
According to the police report, the trooper
saw a maroon vehicle traveling eastbound on
the Turner Turnpike shortly after 1 a.m. The
car was traveling 66 mph in a 60 mph posted
zone.
The trooper stopped the vehicle and made
contact with the driver, identified as Barnes.
While speaking with the man, the trooper
noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming
from inside the vehicle. He also saw a clear
pipe commonly used for smoking meth in the
cup holder.
Barnes told the trooper the pipe belonged
to his friend. He also said that he had his medical marijuana card.
The trooper asked the man if there was anything in the car that shouldn’t
be there. Barnes said no.
The trooper then asked Barnes if he was responsible for everything in the
vehicle. He said yes.
The trooper started to search the vehicle. Another trooper was on scene,
and Barnes admitted that there was a bag of fentanyl in the passenger seat
under a backpack.
When the troopers located the drug, they noticed the fentanyl had spilled
onto the seat.
Agents with the Drug Enforcement Agency came to the scene to safely
collect the drug.
The trooper placed Barnes under arrest and transported him to jail.
Barnes is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs, unlawful possession
of drug paraphernalia, and speeding in a posted zone. His bond was set at
$50,500, and he was scheduled to appear in court on May 31, 2022.

MOUSE IN THE HOUSE
A 36-year-old Meeker man was arrested
and taken to jail after he allegedly fired a
gun at a house in the early morning hours
of May 7.
According to the affidavit, a Lincoln County deputy was dispatched to a residence
on South 3414 in Meeker at approximately
1:30 a.m. to investigate a shots fired call.
When he arrived at the location, he spoke
to a man who said someone drove by his
house and fired a gun at the dwelling. He
said he was working in the carport when
he heard the gunshot.
The man said he followed the car to a residence on Oak Street.
He believed Clinton Quantrell Cernocky fired the gun.
Shortly after, he received a phone call on Facebook Messenger
from a possible fake account. A man told him that this is what happens when you touch little girls. The deputy found a 380 shell casing by the mailbox.
The deputy went to the home. When he knocked, the door swung
open, but no one answered him when he identified himself. He
walked into the residence to find a man sitting on the couch in the
living room with his hands up.
Cernocky then walked out of the bedroom. He said he had been
in bed with his girlfriend all night. He also said he didn’t own a gun.
He became irritated and told the deputy he could talk to his lawyer.
The other man said they had just returned from OKC and Cernocky was the driver. When the deputy asked about the shooting,
the man said Cernocky shot a mouse in the living room.
Cernocky’s girlfriend showed police the mouse - it had a hole in it
and there was blood splattered on the wall. A bullet was lodged in
the sheetrock. She said Cernocky had got into bed with her around
1:30 a.m. She also said he had a gun, and she found it under the
mattress in their room.
The other man then said on the way back from the city, Cernocky
kept talking about some guy who touched a little girl. They went to
the victim’s residence and Clinton fired a shot near the mailbox.
The casing found at the residence matched the bullets in the gun.
Cernocky is being charged with use of vehicle in discharge of a
weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at
$20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 23, 2022.

GUTHRIE, OK
A Tulsa County jury finds Levi Cobbler guilty in
the November 2020 murder of Robert Dale Henderson III. On April 21, 2022, a sentence of 28
years was recommended for Cobbler, 22, for First
Degree Manslaughter. Cobbler is set for formal
sentencing on June 15, 2022.
During the early morning hours of November
26, 2020, officers from the Collinsville Police Department responded to 302 N. 12th Street in Collinsville after receiving a 9-1-1 call for assistance.
Officers entered the residence and found Henderson, 26, dead inside. Collinsville police then
requested assistance from the Oklahoma State
Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
During the investigation, OSBI agents identified Cobbler as the suspect
in Henderson’s death. On November 26, 2020, agents located Cobbler
and arrested him for Henderson’s murder. He was transported to the David
L. Moss Criminal Justice Center in Tulsa.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless
