SECRETS REVEALED
A former police officer for two Oklahoma towns has
been exposed for misconduct after a lengthy investigation into his alleged seedy actions.
Joseph Christopher Beers, 39, of Tulsa, was charged
May 15 with aggravated assault and battery, kidnapping, and trespassing after being forbidden, in Creek
County District Court. He was also charged in Rogers
County the next day with rape by instrumentation.
According to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI), on March 25, 2024, the Creek County District
Attorney’s Office requested the OSBI to investigate allegations of assault committed by
Beers, a former police officer with the Oilton Police Department. It was determined that
Beers approached a residence while on duty outside of his jurisdiction and physically
assaulted a 76-year-old man.
On May 10, 2024, the Rogers County District Attorney’s Office also requested the
OSBI to investigate Beers on allegations of sexual battery when he was an officer with the
Inola Police Department.
OSBI special agents learned that in August 2019, while on duty, Beers sexually assaulted a female victim after responding to an incident.
Based on the information and evidence gathered, two separate arrest warrants were
issued for Beers.
On May 16, 2025, Beers surrendered to the Creek County Sheriff’s Office and was
booked into the Creek County Jail. He was subsequently transported to the Rogers
County Jail. Individuals with additional information regarding this case are requested to
contact the OSBI at [email protected] or 1-800-522-8017.
Bond for Beers was set at $85,000 in Creek County and scheduled to appear in court
on June 10. Bond was set at $75,000 in Rogers County and he is scheduled to appear
in court there on June 30.

MESSED UP MEETING
A 41-year-old Stillwater man with a history of theft
convictions in Utah and a 21-year-old woman he was
allegedly conspiring with, are facing serious charges after a man reported being robbed following a Facebook
meeting.
The suspects, Troy Harvey Dooley and Laney Rose
Hutchison, are both facing two charges related to the
incident.
According to reports, the incident began on March 20
when the victim contacted authorities claiming he had
been robbed after arranging to meet Hutchison, who
used the name “Isabella Rose” on Facebook. The man
said he went to Dooley’s residence to pick Hutchison up.
Once she was in his car, Dooley approached the vehicle and opened the driver’s door.
He then pressed a tan handgun against the victim’s
side.
Hutchison grabbed the man’s phone, and Dooley
forced him to move over before taking control of the car
and driving them out of the trailer park.
Dooley stopped the vehicle and Hutchison climbed into
the driver’s seat and drove the man to his hotel, where he
said he was too afraid to resist, fearing further threats.
Once at the hotel, Hutchison went with the man to his
room and rummaged through his belongings. She allegedly stole his wallet and knives before leaving the room.
The victim saw Dooley and Hutshison leave the area together and then called the police.
Officers showed the man photos of the suspects, and he recognized them as the couple
who robbed him.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Dooley’s residence. They found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and two handguns. One of the guns matched the weapon described by the victim. Dooley and Hutchison were also placed under arrest.
During interviews, Hutchison said the victim solicited her. She allegedly admitted to planning the robbery with Dooley and another person, stating the original intent was to steal the
victim’s money. When he arrived at the location and didn’t have the money with him, she told
Dooley she would take the man to the hotel and get the money.
Dooley is being charged with robbery by two or more persons and unlawful possession
of a controlled drug. His bond was set at $30,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on June 4, 2025.
Hutchison is being charged with robbery by two or more persons and unlawful possession
of a controlled drug. Her bond was set at $50,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court
on June 9, 2025.

A man suspected of stealing a pickup truck from Owasso was arrested in Wellston on March 3 after allegedly
causing a scene at a local convenience store and attempting to flee the area.
According to the police report, Wellston police officers
responded to a call around 11:54 a.m. about a disruptive
customer at the OnCue gas station on East Highway 66.
Witnesses told police the man, later identified as 41-yearold Couper Basore Edwards, attempted to use several
credit and debit cards that were declined. When questioned, he reportedly said he didn’t want
the cards and began throwing items from his truck in the parking lot.
Edwards then left the parking lot and headed westbound on State Highway 66. Officers
were initially unable to locate the vehicle.
At 12:13 p.m., authorities were alerted that the vehicle Edwards was driving had been
reported stolen earlier that day in Owasso. Lincoln County deputies and Wellston officers
launched a search for the truck and found the vehicle around 1:16 p.m. abandoned near the
Turner Turnpike, about two miles west of Wellston. Two men were spotted walking back toward town from the area where the vehicle was found.
Around 1:30 p.m., deputies located Edwards and another man at the same OnCue store.
Both were detained after Edwards identified himself. He had a truck key in his pocket.
A search of the vehicle confirmed the truck was the one stolen from Owasso. A wallet found
inside contained Edwards’ identification and various cards.
The second man told deputies he did not know Edwards and had only accepted a ride after
running out of gas. He claimed Edwards later also ran out of gas, prompting them to walk to
the store.
Edwards told deputies he took the truck from a friend in Tulsa and intended to drive it to
Oklahoma City to locate his girlfriend / “potential baby mama.” Officers asked why he took
someone else’s vehicle. He responded that love made him do it.
Edwards is being charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. His bond was set at $5,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 23, 2025.

THAT'S METHED UP!
On May 5, at approximately 7:15 p.m., Springfield Ohio Township Police Officer Austin Branham
conducted a traffic stop after identifying a vehicle
whose registered owner had an active warrant
and a suspended driver’s license.
During the investigation, Officer Branham made
contact with the driver, identified as 55 year old
Victoria Vidal, of Akron, OH, and detained her without incident.
However, things took an unusual turn. As Officer Branham returned to the
vehicle, he observed a raccoon named “Chewy” sitting in the driver’s seat with
a meth pipe in its mouth. Chewy had somehow gotten hold of a glass methamphetamine pipe, leading officers to further inspect the vehicle.
A subsequent search revealed:
• Bulk amount of Methamphetamine
• Crack Cocaine
• Three used glass meth pipes.
Ms. Vidal was charged with F3 possession of drugs, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and was cited for driving under suspension. She
was also turned over to Cuyahoga Falls Police on her active warrant. Additional
charges related to crack cocaine possession will be presented at Grand Jury
pending BCI lab results.
Thankfully, Chewy the raccoon was unharmed, and notification was made
to the proper authorities to determine that she has the proper paperwork and
documentation to own the raccoon.
While our officers are trained to expect the unexpected, finding a raccoon
holding a meth pipe is a first! No raccoons were hurt or injured in this incident.

COCK OF THE WALK
Investigators with the Logan County Sheriff’s
Office uncovered a massive illegal cockfighting
operation after a tip from a disgruntled family
member of several of the spectators resulted in
nine arrests and the seizure of over 50 roosters.
Maria Dejesus-Flores, the owner of the operation, was arrested on complaints of servicing or
facilitating cockfight and booked int the Logan
County Detention Center. Formal charges have
not been filed as of press time.
According to reports, on May 24, investigators received a tip from a person
who became upset after learning that several of her family members were going
to a cockfight. This led them to a rural property near Guthrie.
Initially, when the deputies arrived at the home, they didn’t find anything that
would lead them to believe cockfighting was on the property, but as they continued down the driveway, discovered a cluster of vehicles and a barn at the end. A
man exited the barn, spotted them, and a few seconds later, at least 20 people
ran out of the side of the barn and into the woods.
Nine people who remained at the site, including the owner Maria Dejesus-Flores, were arrested.
A search of the property immediately revealed evidence of an illegal cockfighting operation and dead roosters. The investigation team spent 13 hours at the
scene and seized 53 roosters. Seven injured birds were euthanized, and they
also found a hen, 10 chicks, and 46 eggs.
A mini trailer with air conditioning was discovered on the site, which contained
more birds and cockfighting equipment.
Investigators also found drugs used to inject the birds, and seized 28 vehicles,
the trailer, and several cockfighting tools.

DES MOINES, Iowa — A Des Moines man is in police custody after leading authorities on a wild chase on May 8.
The incident started when the suspect, driving a sports motorcycle, was pulled over for not displaying his license plate
around 8 p.m., according to court documents. After initially
stopping, he drove away as an officer got out of their vehicle.
Followed by an Iowa State Patrol aircraft, the suspect was
clocked going 110 mph in a 60 mph speed zone, officials said.
After an officer on the ground lost track of the suspect, he
switched to a truck before driving away again. Documents show that while eluding police, the man
drove into oncoming traffic multiple times on Interstate 235. He then came to a stop at the Easton
Boulevard exit before jumping from an about 15-foot wall. Officials said the suspect was found in a
woman’s car before he ended up running away.
The woman told police that she was getting into her car when the man popped up from the back
seat and told her to drive.
The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Cole Langford was later taken into custody without incident, according to the criminal complaint.
A backpack allegedly belonging to Langford was found containing a “large quantity of drugs”
nearby where he stopped the truck. Officials said about 12 ounces of methamphetamine, cocaine, a
substance believed to be fentanyl and multiple THC vapes were found inside the backpack.
Langford faces the following charges:
• Controlled substance violation
• Eluding - speed 25 mph over limit - second or subsequent
• Failure to affix drug stamp
• Burglary 3rd degree - motor vehicle
• Driving while barred
• Possession of controlled substance 1st offense
• Possession of a controlled substance, cannabidiol 1st offense
Langford is currently being held at the Polk County Jail on a $30,000 cash bond.
