A WOLF IN SHEEP'S
CLOTHING
A Dale man was taken into custody on May 23
for allegedly stalking young girls at local skating
rings and forcing them to have sexual encounters
with him.
Dominic Allen Holland, 27, was charged June 6
with two counts of rape-first degree, three counts
of forcible oral sodomy, three counts of lewd or indecent acts to child under 16, and soliciting sexual conduct or communication with minor by use of technology, in Pottawatomie
County District Court.
Holland is also facing charges from an incident that happened at a Shawnee
skating rink back in April that involved an 11-year-old girl.
On April 27, 2024, Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office received information
about a possible sexual assault that occurred at Star Skate in Shawnee. The
suspect was identified as Holland. Over the course of the investigation, several
more victims were identified. The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help with identifying more possible victims.
Holland was found to frequent skating rinks in Shawnee, Choctaw and Oklahoma City, as well as other local towns. If you or someone you know had contact with Dominic Allen Holland, please contact PCSO at (405) 275-2526 MonFri or Pottawatomie County Central Dispatch at (405) 273-1727. Information can
be left for Sgt. Richard Finch.
Dominic has several tattoos including and “infinity” symbol on the top of his left
hand and a rose with the script “Alone” on his right hand.

AROUND THE STATE
Trail-blazing
On June 4, around 7:45 p.m., an Officer attempted to stop a red Chevy sedan near 5100
S. Riverside. The sedan ran a red light and was
driving on the rim of the front passenger tire.
Instead of stopping, the Chevy drove onto the
River Parks pedestrian trails and continued driving south. The suspect put numerous pedestrians and cyclists in danger on the trail, forcing
some of them to jump out of the way to avoid being
hit.
Officers quickly mobilized in the area and set up
stop sticks ahead of the pursuit, successfully deflating the driver side tires. The Chevy stopped near
7100 S. Riverside on the trail.
Officers gave the driver, identified as Wayne
Seward, numerous commands to exit the vehicle,
but he refused. Pepper balls were deployed in a
attempt to coerce the suspect out of the car. Ultimately with the help of a K9 Officer, Seward was
taken into custody.
Wayne Seward was arrested for Eluding and Obstructing Justice.

JOHNSTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S
OFFICE MOURNS THE LOSS OF
K9 DEPUTY RILEY
It is with great sadness the Johnston County
Sheriff’s Office announces the passing of one of
our K-9 Deputies, Riley. Last month, while on duty
and attending training in Tulsa with her dedicated
handler, Deputy Joey Schanz, K-9 Riley fell ill. Despite extensive efforts to save her, Riley’s health
continued to decline.
Following blood work and medical interventions, it was determined Riley had developed a severe intestinal condition. Despite undergoing emergency surgery, her condition deteriorated rapidly. Regrettably, this past Wednesday on May 29, in the face of unbearable suffering, the
difficult decision was made to humanely euthanize Riley.
K-9 Riley joined the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office in 2022 and quickly established herself as a valuable member of the team. Her dedication, loyalty, and
service will be deeply missed by her handler, Deputy Joey Schanz, and the entire
J.C.S.O. family.
“Riley was more than a K-9 Deputy; she was a trusted partner and a beloved
member of our law enforcement family. Her loss is deeply felt by all who had the
privilege of working alongside her.”
K-9 Deputy Riley will be remembered for her service and the strong bond she
shared with her colleagues. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office honors her
memory and legacy, recognizing her dedication in every sense of the word.
As we bid farewell to K-9 Deputy Riley, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to
Deputy Joey Schanz and all those impacted by this loss. Rest easy, Riley. Your
dedication and loyalty will never be forgotten.

AROUND THE NATION
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- Boxer Ryan Garcia is
speaking out on social media following his arrest for felony
vandalism at a Beverly Hills hotel.
In a series of posts to X on Saturday and Sunday, Garcia compared himself to Britney Spears and Donald Trump
and spoke about medical issues as well as his religious
beliefs.
Police say the boxer caused about $15,000 in damage
to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills on Saturday.
After being booked, the fighter complained of a medical issue and was taken to Cedars
Sinai Medical Center.
He’s now out on bail.
“I feel like I’m Ryan Spears Aka Britney Spears,” he wrote in one post.
An attorney representing Garcia issued a statement that the boxer is going through some
mental health and family struggles.
“This comes at an extraordinarily challenging time for
Ryan, as he has been grappling with devastating news regarding his mother’s health,” said attorney Darin T. Chavez
with Tricarico Chavez LLP.
“First and foremost, we urge everyone to respect Ryan’s privacy during this difficult period. Ryan has been
open about his struggles with mental health over the years
and at this time he is dealing with an immense emotional burden. The support and understanding from fans and
the public are crucial as he navigates these personal challenges. We are working diligently to provide Ryan with the
resources he needs. Our team is committed to ensuring
that he receives the appropriate help and care to address
both his immediate and long-term well-being. We ask for
continued support and compassion as Ryan focuses on
his family and his health at this time.”
Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) faces suspension from the New
York Athletic Commission after he tested positive for the
banned substance ostarine in the lead-up to his majority
decision victory over Devin Haney in April in a major upset.
Garcia floored Haney three times but was ineligible to
win the WBC junior welterweight title after he was 3.2
pounds overweight.
A decision is forthcoming from the commission, and his
victory could be overturned.

YUMMY GUMMY
Bowlegs man William Lee III, 54, was taken to jail
after an officer saw him driving all over the road on June
16.
According to the affidavit, a Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police officer was on patrol headed eastbound
on Highway 59 when he saw a truck weaving in between the yellow and white lines on the road. The driver
also crossed the white line three times and drove off
the road.
The officer stopped the truck at the intersection of
Highway 59 and Highway 270. He made contact with
the driver, identified as Lee. He noticed Lee had a medical marijuana card and asked the
man when he last smoked.
Lee said he didn’t smoke, but he told the officer he eats gummies.
The officer then asked when he last took a gummy. Lee, trying not to look at the officer,
said some gibberish that didn’t make sense.
The officer then asked Lee to take a few tests so he could make sure the man was
good to drive. Lee was unsteady on his feet. He admitted to taking half a gummy earlier
that morning.
The officer smelled alcohol and asked the man if he had been drinking. Lee replied,
“No, well, I might have had one at lunch, but that was hours ago.”
The officer then noticed that Lee’s eyes were red and watery, and his pupils were constricted. The officer conducted some sobriety tests and determined that the man was not
fit to be driving. He placed him under arrest.
Lee agreed to have his blood drawn. However, when they arrived at the hospital, he
told the officer that he had drunk three tall boys and smoked some meth before being
pulled over, so there was no point in having his blood drawn.
Lee is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol
and drugs, and failure to maintain lane. Bond was set at $50,000 and he is scheduled to
appear in court on July 18. RANDY

18 | JULY 2024 PONTOTOC COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
TIME TO COOL OFF
A Pontotoc County woman has been sentenced
to federal prison for setting fire to a home in 2023.
Shyla Faye Pittman, age 38, of Ada, was sentenced to 14 months imprisonment and three
years of supervised release for one count of Arson
in Indian Country.
The charge arose from an investigation by the
Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office, the Chickasaw
Nation Lighthorse Police, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives.
On October 16, 2023, Pittman pleaded guilty to one count of Arson in Indian
Country. According to investigators, on March 11, 2023, law enforcement officers responded to a call about a house fire and arrived to discover Pittman on
the porch of the burning building with a butane torch nearby. After firefighters
extinguished the blaze, ATF Fire Investigators discovered multiple points of origin for the fire, indicating that Pittman had purposefully set fires throughout the
home.
The crime occurred in Pontotoc County, within the boundaries of the Chickasaw Nation Reservation, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
Pittman will remain in custody of the U.S. Marshal pending transportation to
a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable
sentence of incarceration.
