DUCK, DUCK, GOOSE
The Oklahoma Predator Prevention group
helped capture a 73-year-old man after they set
up a decoy online for an underage boy.
The man, Vernon Wall, a former pharmacist in
Pontotoc County, took the bait and tried to meet
up with who he thought was a 15-year-old minor.
According to reports, Wall contacted an online
dating platform that appeared to be for a 15-yearold boy. It was a decoy, but Wall wasn’t aware of that, and he started asking the
supposed minor for nude pictures. He also sent explicit photos of himself to the
decoy.
Even after OPP told Wall the decoy’s age, the man wanted to meet the 15-yearold at a Shawnee hotel on September 29.
OPP confronted Wall on a live streaming service.
Inside the hotel room, OPP found six unidentified pills and a gun with three
bullets.
Shawnee police arrested the man and transported him to jail.
Vernon Wall, 73, of Roff, is being charged with soliciting sexual conduct or
communication with minor and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16. His
bond was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December
10, 2024.

AROUND THE NATION
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A Miami Beach Corvette owner faced an unusual situation when he discovered an
intruder trapped inside his car and asked him for help
to get out.
“My brother, this is not your car, this is my car,” Julio
Solano, the owner of the car told 33-year-old Ravesh
Rabindranauth.
“Can I get out?” Rabindranauth was heard asking
Solano while being recorded on the victim’s cellphone.
“No, you can’t get out. We’re calling the cops,” Solano replied.
Solano told a local news station that he was stunned when he returned to his car after
breakfast and found Rabindranauth sitting inside, pleading for help.
The incident unfolded at a parking garage on Washington Avenue and 16th Street in
Miami Beach.
Miami Beach police arrived on the scene and arrested Rabindranauth, who now faces
burglary charges.
Julio Solano believes that while Rabindranauth managed to break into the vehicle, he
was unable to start it or escape due to the car’s security system.
“The car’s electrical components don’t function without the keys, and fortunately, he
didn’t know about the manual door release under the seat,” said Solano.
Investigators said Solano had notified the owner of Premiere Auto Miami 1, an exotic
car rental company that stores its vehicles in the garage.
Authorities said Rabindranauth was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with
the officers. A routine records check revealed no local criminal history or outstanding
warrants.
Jail records show he is facing one count of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
He was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was
set at $2,500.

AROUND THE AREA
TWO ARRESTED FOLLOWING CHILD EXPLOITATION INVESTIGATION
On October 21, 2024, the Okmulgee Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau
of Investigation to investigate a child sexual abuse
case.
Earlier that day, an individual reported to officers the production of child sexual abuse material from a residence in Okmulgee. OSBI special
agents began their comprehensive investigation
and identified the two suspects as 31-year-old
Jennifer Ann Prescott and her mother, 56-yearold Sharon Ann Mitchell. It was determined that
the female suspects were living with two children
and were sexually exploiting one of the minors.
A search warrant was executed by OSBI special agents at the residence. During that investigation, they discovered explicit images on the
suspects’ electronic devices. Based on the information and evidence gathered, both Prescott
and Mitchell were arrested and booked into the
Okmulgee County Jail on charges of Child Sexual
Exploitation. Their bonds are set at $100,000. The
two children were placed into the Department of Human Services (DHS) custody
and are safe at this time. This is still an ongoing investigation.
The OSBI would like to thank the Okmulgee Police Department, Muscogee
Creek Nation Lighthorse Police Department, and the Department of Human Services for assisting us with this investigation.
COLD CASE
CONTINUES
The OSBI Cold Case Unit is seeking information regarding the suspicious disappearance of
16-year-old Dawn Michelle Nakedhead, who
was last seen October 18, 1991. That evening,
Dawn had plans of attending a local football
game with a friend, but never made it to the
game and was reported missing.
Investigators have received information stating the night Dawn went missing she was seen at a pay phone, spotted in
the Tulsa area, and even at a nearby hospital. However, the search for Dawn
continues.
If you have any additional information regarding Dawn’s whereabouts we
ask you please contact the OSBI at [email protected] or 1-800-522-8017.

10 | NOVEMBER 2024 Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty JOHNSTON COUNTY
FROM THE SHERIFF
JCSO seeing an increased level of Deputies being attacked and injured.
Citizens jumping in and assisting Deputies
In the past two weeks we have had two Deputies violently attacked
by repeat offenders resulting in physical altercations and injuries to Deputies. In both instances Citizens came to the aid of Deputies in need. I
don’t have words for how appreciative my Deputies and I are of these
outstanding law abiding citizens who stepped up to assist.
With everything going on in the world and our Country, I couldn’t be
more proud of where we live. A place where Citizens are willing to assist
us in our times of need. Johnston County truly is a special place, and the
people are what make it special.
In the first incident, Sergeant Teddy Lenard was checking on an individual who was walking on State Highway 1 in a manner prohibited by
State law, just south of the Mill Creek School. During the encounter Sgt.
Lenard even offered to give the subject a ride, however the he became
belligerent and began obstructing Sgt. Lenard before trying to flee on
foot. Sgt. Lenard caught up with the suspect Kevin Monjay, who is wanted out of Murray County and a violent fight ensued into the bar ditch of
SHW 1. During the struggle several Citizens stopped to check on Sgt.
Lenard, calling into Johnston County Dispatch and even helping subdue the suspect, bringing him
into custody. Monjay was transported to the Johnston County Jail without further incident and Sgt.
Lenard was treated and released at a local hospital for injuries sustained during the attack.
This past Tuesday, Deputies were called to an active domestic dispute in the Rock Creek trailer
park west of Tishomingo on State Highway 22. Upon Deputy Joey Schanz arriving on scene and
attempting to come to the aid of a female who was being attacked, he quickly found himself being
violently attacked by the suspect. Jimmy Seymour rushed Deputy Schanz and engaged him in a
physical fight. Deputy Schanz deployed his taser, which had little to no effect on this violent suspect,
who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Additional Deputies and the Sheriff
arrived shortly after to assist in taking this suspect into custody.
Again, during this fight a good Citizen came to the aid of Deputy Schanz offering his assistance.
Seymour was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released for injuries, then
transported to the Johnston County Jail without further incident. Deputy Schanz who also received
injuries was later checked and released for injuries sustained during the attack. In both cases the
suspects were charged with multiple charges to include felony assault and battery on a Peace Officer and resisting arrest.
Our Deputies are resilient, but they are also human and we put everything on the line for our
community, the Citizens of Johnston County and Oklahoma. It’s a wonderful feeling to know we can
go out and do our job to the best of our abilities and Johnston County has our backs. Thank you
again to the Citizens who assisted these Deputies and to all the great Citizens of Johnston County. It
continues to be a great honor for us to serve you and this wonderful community!!!
While I have only mentioned these two incidents, assaults on the Deputies are on the rise. We
have had multiple instances in the past several months where Deputies were physically assaulted.
The world is a crazy place right now however, we continue to serve this community with honor, as
this is our home as well!!

POSSESSION OF
PARAPHERNALIA
Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty 13 | NOVEMBER 2024 SEMINOLE COUNTY
We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

MOVE ALONG
A 46-year-old Phoenix man was locked up in
Pontotoc County after a deputy found marijuana
and fentanyl in his possession on September 29.
According to reports, the deputy stopped a
white minivan after the driver didn’t stop at a stop
sign at Man and Broadway in Byng. He made
contact with the driver, identified as Fonzie Frank
Preader.
Preader said he was driving a rental and was moving from Detroit to his son’s
house. The deputy checked the man’s information and was advised that his
license was suspended.
The deputy then asked Preader if there was anything in the van he should
know about. Predator said there might be some marijuana in the vehicle that he
had grown himself.
Since Preader didn’t have a medical marijuana card, the deputy detained the
man and searched his vehicle. The deputy found a marijuana bong with residue,
a glass pick with residue, some brown wax in a THC container, and some marijuana vape pens.
Another deputy also found a cooler containing 11 containers of brown wax,
brown paper bags containing a green leafy substance, and another pick with
residue.
The wax tested positive for both marijuana and fentanyl.
Preader is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs and unlawful possession of controlled drugs with intent to distribute. He is scheduled to appear in
court on November 6, 2024. Bond was set at $100,000. HUNTER
