Shawnee man David Anthony Gish, 53, was
locked up after he allegedly punched a man and cut
his arm with a knife on March 1. He seemed angry
that the victim wouldn’t buy his bicycle; he later
sold it for a few bucks and some leftover Mexican
food.
According to the affidavit, a Shawnee officer was
dispatched to the 100 block of North Philadelphia
shortly after 6 p.m. to investigate a stabbing. A
man on scene said he was walking with his girlfriend and a juvenile to the library when Gish approached them and tried to sell them a bike. They
denied the offer and continued to the library.
When they left the building, Gish started following them. He grabbed the juvenile’s bike, and the victim said he confronted the man. Gish then punched the
victim in the face and cut his arm with a box cutter-type knife.
The victim had bruising and swelling around his left eye and a cut on his left
arm.
Officers combed the area looking for Gish. They didn’t find him, but they saw a
bike matching the one the victim described in the area of Bell Avenue and California Street.
The man on the bike wasn’t Gish, but he told police he had just bought the bicycle from a man for $20 and some leftover fajitas.
Police later found Gish in the 1700 block of North Harrison Avenue.
Due to an outstanding federal warrant, officers immediately placed him under
arrest. They found a box cutter on his person.
Gish told police he didn’t know what happened at the library. He said he was
sitting outside talking to the victim, and the victim later called him a name and
tried to punch him in the face. Gish said the victim missed, but he then punched
the victim in the face. He denied using his knife during the assault.
Gish is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. His
bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on June 7, 2016.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt filed charges
against a Mustang resident for setting up a scheme to obtain
opioids from her place of employment.
Cheryl Ann Wallace, 46, while working as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Warr Acres Nursing Home, allegedly placed
several orders for Hydrocodone, claiming they were for residents of the nursing home. Wallace ordered these controlled
dangerous substances without doctors’ orders. Wallace is
also alleged to have placed several false orders for drugs using another nurse’s name. Once the drugs were delivered,
Wallace would remove the drugs from the nursing home diverting them for her own personal use.
Wallace is charged with seven counts of Obtaining a Controlled Dangerous Substance
by Fraud, Deceit, Misrepresentation or Subterfuge and one count of False Personation
of Another. If convicted, Wallace could face up to 80 years in prison and fines of up to
$70,000.

STRANGULATION
A Kersey, Colorado, man was arrested in Holdenville on March 13
after he allegedly stabbed his friend
during a drunken altercation.
According to the police report, a
Holdenville officer was dispatched to
a residence in the 100 block of Billington Drive around 3:30 a.m. to
investigate the stabbing. He arrived
to find two men yelling at each other and blood all over the porch and
throughout the house.
One of them was identified as
38-year-old Joshua Knudson.
The other man kept yelling at
Knudson, “Why did you stab me?”
Knudson claimed that the man’s girlfriend was the actual assailant, not him. Both men were highly intoxicated.
During the investigation, the officer discovered Knudson stabbed
his friend three times -- twice in the man’s left side lower back and
once on his right thumb.
The victim refused to cooperate in any investigation against his
“brother.”
Witnesses told the officer the two men were drinking at a bar
at Seventh and Oak earlier that evening. They said Knudson kept
showing a knife to people. The knife was described as silver with an
approximately 4-inch blade.
The officer asked the victim where Knudson’s knife was. The man
didn’t know, but he told the officer Knudson used the knife to stab
him. He described it the same way the witnesses from the bar did.
Knudson was placed under arrest and transported to jail. He is
being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
His bond was set at $7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on March 29, 2016.

51-year-old Gerald Glover’s
night at the Golden Pony Casino
in Okemah on February 28 probably didn’t end up how he planned.
He was probably hoping to strike
it rich or get lucky at a machine.
Instead, the Riverside, California,
man was arrested and locked up
in jail after police found meth and
marijuana in his vehicle.
An Okfuskee County deputy was dispatched to the casino due to a man who
was in the parking lot with some marijuana. When he arrived, a security officer
told him he saw a man just sitting in a white SUV in the parking lot. He made
contact with the man and immediately smelled the odor of marijuana. He asked
the man about the smell. The man, later identified as Glover, handed over a bag
filled with a green, leafy substance.
The deputy met with Glover, who told him he didn’t have any more weed.
The deputy placed him in handcuffs and put him in the patrol car. A Creek
Nation Lighthorse officer arrived to assist. The officers conducted an inventory
of the man’s vehicle. They found three smoking pipes with residue and a baggy
filled with a clear crystal substance in a black box.
When the deputy showed Glover the box, Glover told him it was meth. Officers
continued searching the car. They found seven more pipes and a BB gun.
The deputy transported Glover to jail, where the man was locked up.
Glover is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance and
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $11,000, and he
is scheduled to appear in court on April 7, 2016.

Seminole woman Dawn M. Enoch, 45, took a feud to a new level
when she allegedly threw bleach into a woman’s face on March 9
over an argument about a cellphone.
According to the affidavit, officers were dispatched to the victim’s
home in the 1000 block of Coolidge due to an assault. They found
the victim lying in the floor, crying and gagging. The home smelled
strongly like bleach.
The victim said she believed someone threw the chemical in her
face. She told police someone knocked on her door and when she
answered it, she felt a liquid hit her face. It started burning and she
fell to the floor.
The victim didn’t see her attacker, but she believed the assailant
was Enoch, because the suspect had told her, “44 years doesn’t matter to me.” She said she and Enoch were fighting about a disagreement over some cellphones.
Fresh tire tracks were found in the victim’s yard.
An officer went to Enoch’s residence, located on Highway 270 East. The woman’s husband
answered the door and said his wife wasn’t home.
A vehicle in the garage had wet tires and the hood was still warm. Later, officers would
discover the tires matched the impressions left at the victim’s home.
Enoch’s husband tried to shut the garage, which resulted in the door hitting the officer.
Enoch eventually came to the door, wet and wrapped in a towel. An officer asked her to get
dressed and go to the police department with him.
When he asked if she was fighting with anyone, she admitted she was in a feud with the
victim. Enoch denied being at the victim’s residence.
The officer asked her if she had pending cases in district court. When she said yes, the officer asked what her lawyer said the possible punishment was. She responded, “He told me
that I was looking at 44 years.”
On the way to jail, Enoch told the officer he should arrest her husband for assaulting him.
The officer told her that her man was only detained for shutting the garage door on him.
This seemed to upset Enoch. She also told the officer the victim committed fraud against
her.
Enoch is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and attempted
maiming. She was released on a $30,000 bond and is schedul ed to appear in court on April
21, 2016.

Allen woman Tama Shaneece Braxton, 26, allegedly
broke into an apartment and stole a young girl’s birthday gift on March 1.
According to the affidavit, an Ada police officer was
dispatched to the 1100 block of E. 18th Street shortly
after 4 p.m. to investigate the burglary. A man at the
residence told the officer earlier that day he bought his
daughter a cellphone for her birthday. He said he put
a pink case on it and plugged it into a charger at his
apartment. He left, but when he returned later that
day, the phone was gone.
The man and his wife notified the building manager, who watched security footage to see if anyone was
around the apartment at the time of the burglary. The only person seen in the
area was identified as Braxton.
Braxton was apparently staying with her sister, who also lived in the apartment
complex. The officer went to the sister’s apartment and made contact with Braxton. He asked her if she knew where the phone was. She said no.
The officer told Braxton they had video of her going into the apartment; if she
gave the phone back, they wouldn’t take her to jail. Still she denied that she had
the phone.
Braxton admitted to going into the apartment, but she said she only did so because she heard a baby crying.
The officer placed her under arrest. Police searched the woman’s apartment,
but the phone was nowhere to be found.
Braxton is being charged with burglary in the second degree and knowingly
concealing stolen property. She was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled
to appear in court on June 1, 2016.
