A pursuit led by Terry Dylan White ended in a crash
when the 34-year-old Prague man hit a guardrail and spun
out of control.
According to reports, a Shawnee officer tried to stop a
vehicle at Wallace and Oklahoma shortly after 9 a.m. on
October 21 due to a seatbelt violation. The driver, who
was later identified as White, refused to stop – and that
seatbelt ticket was about to become a whole lot more.
He ignored the officer’s flashing lights and sirens and just
kept on going southbound on Oklahoma.
White continued leading the officer through the city,
running several stop signs and putting others in danger.
At one point, he turned eastbound on Highway 3 just east
of Brangus Road, lost control of the vehicle, and hit a guardrail. The impact caused
his vehicle to spin toward the officer’s patrol car.
But that didn’t stop the man – well, not at first anyways. He jumped out of the
vehicle and took off running into a field, where he was quickly apprehended by
officers.
After being treated for his injuries at the hospital, the man was transported to jail.
White is being charged with endangering others while eluding/attempting to
elude police and possession of credit card belonging to another. His bond was set
at $3,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 10, 2019.

DRUGGED DRIVING PREVENTION MONTH
Deaths in crashes involving
drunk drivers with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08+
dropped in 2010, but despite this
decrease, there were still 10,228
lives lost – that’s one person every
51 minutes. That makes it everyone’s problem.
It seems that many people were
doing their part to put a stop to
this completely preventable epidemic. Alcohol-related traffic fatalities reached a low point in the late 1990s.
Research also indicates that 62% of Americans exposed to the now-iconic Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk campaign have personally intervened
to stop someone from driving drunk, no doubt saving countless lives.
However, since the late 90’s, alcohol-related driving deaths have been
steadily increasing. It seems that though the campaign was very successful, it did not change the behavior of many potential impaired drivers. Many
thought the messages to be targeted at overtly drunk drivers, and not them.
When decision time came, they would consider themselves merely “buzzed”
and get behind the wheel.
The new PSAs created to address this gap were released in December
2005 with the objective to inspire dialogue and recognition of the dangers of
“buzzed” driving and subsequently, to motivate people to stop driving buzzed.
The next installment expands on this message, equating buzzed driving and
drunk driving and demonstrating the devastating consequences that can occur as a result of buzzed driving. The overall campaign hopes to educate
people that consuming even a few drinks can impair driving and that Buzzed
Driving is Drunk Driving.

A New Jersey man pleaded guilty in
federal court to conspiring with others
to purchase, transport and sell more
than 1,000 box turtles that were unlawfully collected from the state of Oklahoma, announced U.S. Attorney Trent
Shores.
From May 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018,
William T. Gangemi, 26, of Freehold, New Jersey, knowingly facilitated the
purchase and transport of unlawfully collected three-toed and western (ornate) box turtles from Oklahoma to New Jersey in order to sell them for
profit. Gangemi was part of a syndicate of wildlife smugglers where protected turtles were exchanged back and forth between the United States
and China.
By smuggling the turtles, Gangemi violated the Lacey Act, a federal law
which makes it a felony to engage in the sale or purchase of protected
wildlife with a market value in excess of $350 knowing that the wildlife was
taken, possessed, transported or sold in violation of laws or regulations of
any state. In Oklahoma, the collection of both types of box turtles for commercial purposes is against the law. Box turtles reach sexual maturity at
approximately 10 years of age and have a high nest and juvenile mortality
rate. Due to these factors, the harvest of the turtles can have highly detrimental effects on populations.
“Oklahomans respect and value wildlife, and we don’t appreciate those
who would seek to exploit our vulnerable wildlife populations for their corrupt greed. Laws created by Congress to protect wildlife, like the box
turtle, will be enforced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Defendant Gangemi
flagrantly violated state and federal laws by illegally collecting and exporting box turtles to the black market,” said U.S. Attorney Trent Shores. “As a
result of the diligent investigative work undertaken by agents from the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, Mr. Gangemi must now face the consequences.”
“This case is an excellent example of how state and federal law enforcement agencies work together to combat the illegal wildlife trade,” said Phillip Land, a Special Agent in Charge for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
“We would like to thank the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the U. S. Attorney’s Office for their assistance with this case. Together, we can hold traffickers accountable and protect imperiled species
for future generations.”
As part of his plea agreement, Gangemi agreed to pay $250,000 in
restitution to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and a
$100,000 fine to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for violation of the Lacey Act. The final restitution and fine amounts will be determined by the
Court at the time of sentencing, which is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2020.
Gangemi also pleaded guilty to additional federal charges for trafficking
wildlife in South Carolina and New Jersey.

Police are searching for a man who walked into a bank in Nebraska this week
and tried to open a checking account with a fake $1 million bill. Staff at the Pinnacle Bank branch in Lincoln reported the incident to police. The Lincoln Journal Star reports that bank employees say the man was adamant that the bill
was real despite tellers’ attempts to convince him otherwise. The man eventually left with the bill, but without a new account. Police are reviewing surveillance
video to try to identify the man. Police say they want to check on his welfare and
make sure he was not the victim of a crime. The largest denomination note ever
issued for public circulation was the $10,000 bill.
A Florida judge got to see more evidence than he expected when an accused
woman flashed her breasts in court. Susan Surrette, 54, was arrested for disorderly intoxication in Fort Lauderdale. She appeared in a Broward County bond
court via a video feed, NBC Miami reports. At one point during the hearing,
Judge John Hurley asked Surrette what she did for a living. She replied that she
worked as an escort and porn star under the name “Kayla Kupcakes.” During
the hearing, Surrette alleged she was the victim of police brutality and lifted up
her shirt to offer proof, according to WPTV. After her visual demonstration, Surrette told the judge she has a mental condition. Her attorney then told the
judge: “She’s somebody that needs help. She’s not going to get the help that
she needs at the jail,” according to WPLG. The judge ordered Surrette to pay
$100 bond and undergo a mental evaluation. Under the name Kayla Kupcakes,
Surrette has appeared in numerous adult films since 1998, including “Private
Stuffers 1,” “Sexcretaries” and “Mature Thunder Buns 1.”
When police in Largo, Florida, arrested Jeffrey Forrest Poole on charges of
violently resisting a police officer, the authorities made sure to list things like
his age, weight and address in his arrest report. Officers also included an alias
that Poole has allegedly used in the past ― and it’s pretty awesome, as well
as NSFW. Police were called to the 37-year-old suspect’s home on a reported domestic disturbance. When the officer arrived, according to the criminal
complaint, Poole exited his home and said, “I will beat every cop’s ass!” Then
Poole “raised his right fist and began to extend it towards my face in an attempt to strike me,” the arresting officer wrote, according to The Smoking Gun.
Since Poole was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail, it is highly
unlikely he made good on his ass-kicking promise. Poole was charged with
assaulting a police officer and violently resisting a police officer. What makes
this case interesting beyond Pinellas County is one tiny detail: The criminal alias
Poole has previously used, one “Dickface Johnson.” That name showed up
because Poole was either asked if he had any alias or a record on file under that
name, according to brobible.com.
You know when you’re in an art gallery and you decide to steal one of the
paintings off the wall and then you can’t find a way to jam it into your sweatshirt because it’s a painting and large rectangular paintings don’t belong inside
sweatshirts? Hate it when that happens! Well, this art thief ran into a similar
problem. Luckily, the piece was recovered by gallery staff before the suspect
could escape with it. However, the would-be thief is still on the lam. Police in
the U.K. have released surveillance video in the hopes that viewers will be able
to help locate him. Probably won’t be difficult, given his general difficulty with
the concept of hiding.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI) is investigating the murder of a Wetumka
man that occurred late in the evening of November 5, 2019.
The Wetumka Police Department requested assistance with the investigation after finding the
victim deceased at a home in the 500 block of S.
Wetumka St. in Wetumka. Officers took one individual, 28-year-old Joshua Gann, into custody at
the scene.
The Office of Chief Medical Examiner has positively identified the victim as 59-year-old Gregory
Fish.
Gann was charged with murder in the first degree- deliberate intent, in Hughes County District court on November 13.
As of press time, no bond has been set.

trafficking stopped
A 40-year-old Seminole man is facing charges of drug
trafficking after he was allegedly found with nearly 90
grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on October 27.
According to the affidavit, a Seminole officer was on patrol when he saw a truck driving slowly north on Ideal. The
driver of the vehicle failed to signal when turning left onto
Foster Avenue, so the officer turned on his lights and followed the truck.
The truck didn’t stop.
The officer followed for a couple more blocks before
turning on his sirens. The driver made a wide turn onto
Rhode Island, briefly leaving the road and coming to a
stop in the yard of a residence. The front passenger door
opened, and a woman said she needed to use the restroom. The officer convinced her
to stay in the car while he investigated the scene.
All of the passengers except Shaun Michael Crisenberry acknowledged the officer.
The man was leaning forward and even attempted to open the back door.
While the officer was speaking with the driver, he heard a thud from the backseat.
Crisenberry had dropped a Crown Royal bag out of his lap. The front door passenger
looked outside her door and immediately closed it.
When the officer went to investigate, he saw the bag and some plastic baggies on
the ground. He ordered Crisenberry out of the vehicle at gunpoint. The man immediately started yelling that the officer planted the drugs on him. Several people walked
outside of the house and started yelling at the officer.
The officer placed the man in handcuffs. When he looked inside the car where the
man had been sitting, the officer found a black torch lighter. The Crown Royal bag
contained what appeared to be meth.
Other passengers in the car told the officer that the drugs belonged to Crisenberry.
When officers searched the man, they found more than $700 on his person. Crisenberry said he had just won some money at the casino.
When they arrived at the jail, the officer inspected the Crown Royal bag more closely. He found hundreds of small baggies, a set of digital scales with meth residue, and
some smoking pipes. The meth found in the bag totaled 87.7 grams.
Crisenberry is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs and possession of drug
paraphernalia. His bond was set at $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on November 21, 2019.

William and Leota Huls were found murdered in their Welch, Okla., home
on November 10, 2008. They didn’t show up for church and that lead to
the discovery of their bodies. They both had been shot.

Two Ada women were banned from all Walmart
locations after they allegedly tried to steal more
than a grand worth of merchandise from the Ada
store location on November 6.
According to the police report, an Ada officer
was dispatched to the store in the 1400 block of
North Country Club Road shortly after 3 a.m. to
investigate a larceny. Dispatch told him that one
of the suspects had already left the location and
was driving a white SUV; another suspect was still
in the store.
The officer located the first suspect in her vehicle
at Broadway and J.A. Richardson Loop. He told
the woman, 27-year-old Jennifer Rose Lynch, that
she needed to return to Walmart. While they were
speaking, he noticed several bags in the back of
the SUV.
When they returned to the store, the officer met
with an asset protection employee, who was with
Kristine Lee Atkinson, 36. Lynch told the officer she
and Atkinson went to the store to get some groceries. She explained that she thought Atkinson was
going to pay for the groceries, then head to the
casino.
While she was speaking, Atkinson kept shaking her head. She told the officer both women had
food stamps, but they didn’t have enough to cover
the groceries they bought together. The amount of
merchandise the woman failed to pay for before
leaving the store came to $1,081.60 before tax.
Lynch and Atkinson were placed under arrest and advised they were
banned from all Walmart/Murphy locations.
Both women are being charged with grand larceny and conspiracy, and
their bonds were set at $2,500.
Lynch is scheduled to appear in court on December 4, 2019, and Atkinson
is scheduled to appear in court on November 22, 2019.
