Too Hot to Handle!
A woman was arrested after she allegedly
poured hot grease on someone during an argument, WXIX reports.
Charlene Thompson, 61, has been charged with
felonious assault, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office
records show. She was already wanted on two
counts of criminal damaging or endangerment,
according to WXIX.
Police said Thompson dumped hot grease on
someone during an argument on December 1 in
the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Cincinnati.
The victim suffered severe burns to their back and arm, according to
WLWT.
Thompson was arrested and held on a $52,000 bond.

A former Tishomingo Public Schools teacher is now
a convicted sex offender.
Shelley Jo Duncan, 50, was sentenced to six years
in jail after she was charged April 19, 2017, with lewd
acts with a child. A jury in Norman deliberated for just
two hours before returning a guilty verdict. They recommended six years in jail to Judge Mark Campbell
and he agreed.
On September 8, 2016, OSBI special agents arrested Duncan, who worked at the alternative school
in Tishomingo, for inappropriate contact with a child.
The Tishomingo Police Department requested OSBI
investigate the allegation that Duncan was having inappropriate contact with the 14-year-old male student.
The mother of the boy had called authorities in Tishomingo and told them her son
was in a relationship with the then 48-year-old teacher. They, in turn, called OSBI.
OSBI special agents conducted interviews and collected evidence in the case.
That morning, special agents arrested Duncan in the parking lot of the alternative
school and booked into the Johnston County jail.
Duncan was convicted in late October and was given credit for the time she
has served in jail since then.

A wanted Seminole County man is behind bars
again after he was caught in Pontotoc County.
Ted Alan Holt Jr., 34, was wanted in Seminole
County on multiple felony charges. He now faces
obstruction and resisting arrest charges in Pontotoc County.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the
Pontotoc County Sheriff Office received a suspicious person call on November 20 in rural Pontotoc County. A homeowner said a man had
knocked on her door, but she didn’t answer it. The
man then left, walked off around her shed and into
the trees going north.
A deputy soon afterwards located the man
walking in a ditch on S.H. 19 and CR 3480. When the man saw the deputy,
he jumped the barbed-wire fence and took off running. The deputy and
a trooper, who had pulled up to the scene, then took off running after
him. After jumping fences and deploying pepper balls by the deputy, the
trooper finally caught up to the man and put him to the ground. The deputy
cuffed the man, who identified himself as Holt, and he was taken jail.

A woman in Florida got so excited after stealing a family’s Apple technology that she decided to take some selfies of her own. She had stolen
an iPad and an iPod Touch out of their car while they were visiting one of
Florida’s regional parks. Apparently not realizing that photos taken on an
Apple device will show up on the computer, her selfies surfaced on the
family’s iCloud account two weeks later. All of these pictures are able to
be located geographically.
A middle-aged man was stopped by police as he rode his horse down
the streets of Colorado. Why? He was seen hitting the horse, but told the
police there was a fly on his head. Further investigation revealed that he
had a small gun, a pug (yes, you understood correctly), and beer cans in
tow. Not surprisingly, he failed an intoxication test and was charged with
animal cruelty, possession of weapons, and drunk riding.
Have you ever accidentally gotten high? Like, you thought it was a
normal brownie, or normal mushrooms. But nope, turns out you’re absolutely tripping. Good luck explaining that one to the police. The only
thing less convincing than that is…”accidentally” growing marijuana on
your property. This is exactly what happened to a 73 year old man, who
claims he found the seeds in a random box and decided to plant them.
Lo and behold, up grows some weed. The man showed no sign of being
a pot smoker, yet paid the $200 dollar ticket without argument anyway.
Hopefully he’ll stay away from mystery seeds from now on.
How impatient do you get when waiting for your food to microwave?
Worse yet is when you finally think it’s done, but the plate is a burning
fire disc from the sun’s core and your food could have been found in the
fur of a frozen wooly mammoth from the arctic. How mad would you
get? Hopefully not angry enough to use the microwave as a weapon,
like a guy in St. Louis. A 43 year old man and a 36 year old man got into
a heated argument over “personal matters”, resulting in a knife being
pulled and a microwave oven being thrown. Both were admitted to the
hospital with serious forehead wounds. I don’t remember these being
part of the Easy Mac directions???
We’ve all seen those movies about crazy people who believe demons
live in their house, right? Terrifying stuff, but the demons are probably
more scared of you than you are of them. Just…grab a big shoe. And kill
all the flies so they have nothing to eat. Oh. Maybe I’m thinking of something else, something scarier. One guy in Arizona was so freaked out he
almost burnt down the house. With his roommates still home, he started
a fire in his bedroom closet where he believed they were hiding. He used
paint thinner, and is reported to have been reciting Bible verses. He said
he had planned to tell the police but forgot, and he was admitted to the
hospital with burns on his feet. The important thing is, the house is now
100% demon free.

Miller Sentenced To 163 Months For
Enticement Of A Minor
Floyd Preston Miller III, 39, of Ada, was sentenced
to 163 months’ imprisonment and 10 years supervised release for Enticement Of A Minor Using The
Internet. Miller was found guilty by a jury on February
21, 2018 following a two day trial.
Evidence presented at trial proved that from November 2015 until February 2016, Miller used the
Internet to attempt to persuade, induce, and entice
an individual whom he believed was 15 years old, to
engage in sexual activity for which a person can be
criminally charged under Oklahoma State law. The
verdict and sentence was the result of an investigation by the Las Vegas Internet Crimes against Children (ICAC) Task Force, the North Las Vegas Police
Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and
the United States Attorney’s Office.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester said, “Preying upon children, whether
in person or via the internet, is not only illegal, it is despicable. Sometimes perpetrators gain an advantage over law enforcement agents because the internet
allows there to be distance from victims which span geographic and jurisdictional
boundaries. But in this case the ICAC Task Force in Las Vegas, the North Las Vegas Police, the FBI, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office worked together to overcome
the challenges that are inherent in Internet Enticement cases to achieve justice
for the victim.”
“Parents and guardians, be aware that predators do exist and they can enter
your children’s rooms without ever stepping foot in the same state. Stay informed
of the latest trends in chat rooms, social media, gaming, and the various phone
apps that make it easy for strangers to seek out and communicate with children.
Be aware of their phone activity and internet history. Just because a child is “safely” at home no longer means that predators have no access to them. Predators
are using the internet, are very savvy with it, and are very much aware of how to
lure children.”
The Honorable Ronald A. White, U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, presided over the
hearing. Assistant United States Attorney Edward Snow represented the United
States. Miller will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which the non-paroleable sentence will be served.

Two Ada men were arrested and put in jail after officers found drugs and paraphernalia in their vehicle
during a traffic stop on November 29.
According to the affidavit, a Pontotoc County
deputy was on patrol at the intersection of SH 3E
and County Road 3630 when a speeding vehicle approached him – the deputy clocked the vehicle going
73 mph in a 65 mph zone.
When the vehicle drove past, the deputy noticed
that the passenger brake light wasn’t working. He
stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, 39-year-old Kenneth William Mitchell.
Mitchell appeared to be nervous, and he wouldn’t
look the deputy in the eye.
The deputy also noticed a weird smell inside the
car. He grabbed his K9 and walked the dog around
the vehicle. The K9 alerted to the presence of drugs
at the driver’s side door.
The deputy asked Mitchell and his passenger,
31-year-old Christopher Nelson Foster, to step out
of the vehicle.
Police found large amounts of cash on both men.
Inside the vehicle, the found a bag of meth, baggies,
a scale, some syringes, a glass pipe and some Xanax
bars.
When the deputy asked the men who the illegal
items belonged to, they both said they didn’t know
what he was talking about. They said they had just
gotten the vehicle.
During the investigation, both men kept changing their stories, leading police
to believe they might not be as innocent as they said.
They were placed under arrest and transported to jail.
Both men are being charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs and
conspiracy. Their bonds were set at $150,000, and they are scheduled to appear
in court on December 19, 2018.

OSBI Arrests Nicoma Park Police Officer for
Child Sexual Abuse
On November 1, the OSBI was requested by
the Fairview Heights (Illinois) Police Department
to assist with a child sexual abuse case. Three
separate victims disclosed sexual abuse by Michael Lindsey, 35, that had occurred since 2008,
in Oklahoma, Illinois, and Tennessee. An investigation was initiated by the OSBI in conjunction
with Illinois and Tennessee authorities.
On December 5, 2018, agents with the OSBI
and detectives with the Fairview Heights Police
Department contacted Lindsey at his residence in
Harrah, Oklahoma. Lindsey was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma
County Jail on 14 counts of Child Sexual Abuse and one count of Sexual
Battery. Lindsey’s bond is $145,000.
A search warrant was served on his residence and the investigation continues.

A Broken Arrow man called 911 after a deputy stopped his car
on November 24. He also threatened to go live on Facebook and
refused to give the deputy his information.
According to the police report, an Okfuskee County deputy was
doing traffic control for a grass fire on SH 48 when a maroon car
passed by. A fire truck was driving behind the car with lights flashing and sirens blasting, but the driver of the vehicle wasn’t stopping
for the truck.
The deputy stopped the car and asked the driver, later identified
as 25-year-old Brandon Wade Reeves, for his driver’s license. Reeves refused and instead
dialed 911. He told the dispatcher that he had been stopped and didn’t know why, despite
the deputy explaining the reason for the stop to him multiple times.
Reeves then told the dispatcher he was going to go live on Facebook, and he hung up the
phone.
The deputy advised the man that if he didn’t hand over his identification, he was going to
jail. Reeves continued to refuse, stating that he had had his identity stolen once upon a time.
The deputy tried to open the driver’s door, but it was locked. Another deputy on scene
reached in the car and grabbed Reeves’s hand so the door could be unlocked. Officers tried
to pull the man out of the vehicle, but he struggled and resisted. When he was hit with a taser,
Reeves started kicking one of the deputies in the chest. One of the deputies was able to pull
the man out of the car via the passenger side door.
Reeves eventually gave up, and officers were able to place him under arrest.
They called a wrecker to the scene to get the man’s car. While waiting for the tow truck,
the deputy conducted an inventory of the car and found a glass pipe with residue that tested
positive for meth.
Reeves is being charge with battery/assault and battery on police officer, resisting an officer, failure to yield for emergency vehicle and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $14,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2018.
