TIME'S UP
A wanted Pottawatomie County man was taken into
custody in McLoud after DNA evidence linked him to two
alleged rapes- one in Ardmore and one in Texas.
Hunter Mackey, 27, was charged December 12, 2025,
with rape first degree, in Carter County District Court.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), on February 1, 2024, the Ardmore Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate an alleged rape incident.
A victim reported to officers that in March of 2021, she was sexually assaulted in Ardmore
by an adult male. The victim reported that the suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle with
Oklahoma tags.
The victim submitted a Sexual Assault Nurse Examination kit at a local hospital for further
evaluation.
The OSBI Special Victims Unit (SVU) was notified by the Texas Rangers that a sexual assault had occurred in October of 2021 in Fannin County, Texas. That victim had allegedly been
assaulted by an adult male, who matched the same description from the incident in Ardmore.
SVU began their comprehensive investigation, in collaboration with the Texas Rangers.
During the investigation, an investigative lead was established and 27-year-old Hunter Mackey
was identified as a potential suspect.
It was determined that Mackey had provided a known DNA sample to the Carter County
Sheriff’s Office regarding an unrelated case. SVU was able to locate that sample and submit
it for comparison.
The known sample of Mackey matched the DNA profile from the sexual assault incidents in
Oklahoma and Texas.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, an arrest warrant was issued for Mackey
by the Carter County District Court.
The OSBI Special Investigations Unit, along with special agents from our south central and
north central regions, coordinated a joint operation to locate Mackey, who was arrested in
McLoud on February 18. Mackey was booked into the Pottawatomie County Jail on charges
of First-Degree Rape.

UNSOLVED COLD CASE
Selwyne Anette Richardson, 43, was last seen at her
home at the Crystal Bay Apartments near 21st Street
and Mingo Road in Tulsa, Oklahoma, sometime between 2:00 and 3:00 a.m. on November 5, 2006. She
was last seen in the company of her ex-boyfriend. This
year marks 20 years since Selwyne was last seen.
Concerns arose about her wellbeing when she failed
to pick up her child from her mother’s home. After not
hearing from her, her family checked her apartment. There was no sign of Selwyne. The
apartment looked as if she had just left, all her belongings were inside and the door
locked. At the time of her disappearance, she did not own a vehicle.
After her disappearance, traces of Selwyne’s blood was discovered in her ex-boyfriend’s truck. Despite the discovery, he maintained his innocence in connection to her
case. To this day no one, including the ex-boyfriend, has been charged. He was serving a
prison sentence for unrelated weapons charges but has since been released.
A note was later left on the vehicle of Edna Pitts, Selwyne’s mother, by an unknown
older black man driving a white Buick Skylark, according to witness accounts. It was written on a cheap napkin and said, “Look up under the part of the shop that he had added
on after your daughter became missing on Apache Shield “guy” shop on Apache”. Many
believe the note is about Allen Shields, a suspect in the murder of Neil Sweeney, 2008,
and a person of interest in the Angie Tucker case. Allen died by suicide during a hostage
standoff in 2011.
Selwyne is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She sometimes goes by the name Tina Pitts and she is often referred to by that name. That night
in 2006, she was wearing a gray and black hair weave with a ponytail. She has her ears
pierced, a scar on her right leg, a scar on her left thigh, tattoos on both arms, and noticeable stretch marks covering her entire body. It is known that she was grappling with
drug-related issues at the time of her disappearance. Selwyne is listed as # MP8313 in
NamUs and there are four comparisons for her DNA/dentals.
Selwyne is described as a fun and loving person who is a joy to be around. She was
very close to her family. Given the circumstances, foul play is suspected, as her family
is skeptical that she would willingly leave her children without communication. Her sister
Angie continues to search for her.
If you have any information on the disappearance of Selwyne Anette Richardson,
please contact the Tulsa Police Department at 918-596-9122, referencing case # 2006-
079084. You can also submit a tip anonymously to your local law enforcement agency.

Facts of the case:
- Suspect tailgating victim on Highway 75
- Suspect starts to pass victim but collides with
victim’s SUV
- Victim’s SUV rolls down an embankment
- Victim taken to hospital
- Suspect arrested and taken to jail
The rest of the story:
On February 21st, 2026, around 10 a.m., Tulsa Police Officers responded to
an Injury Crash on Highway 75 near Olympia Ave.
Officers arrived to find the victim with multiple non-life-threatening injuries, and
his SUV in a ditch off to the side of Highway 75’s northbound lanes. Paramedics
took him to the hospital for treatment.
Officers learned that the victim was driving northbound on the highway when
a driver, 34-year-old Jacob Strawn, started tailgating him. When the victim had
clearance to move into the other lane, Strawn also changed lanes, once again
getting close to the victim’s rear bumper.
Strawn finally started to pass the victim, saluting him with his middle finger,
before coming back over into the victim’s lane and colliding with the front fender.
The victim’s SUV left the highway and rolled down the embankment to the

911 for the victim.
The witness corroborated the victim’s story about the circumstances that led
to the collision.
Officers arrested and booked Strawn into the Tulsa County Jail for:
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- No insurance

8 | MARCH 2026 Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty JOHNSTON COUNTY
HOMICIDE SUSPECT ARRESTED
A wanted suspect from Texas was arrest by the Johnston County
Sheriff’s Office at a residence on the north side of Tishomingo, off of
U.S. 377, according to Sheriff Gary Todd.
On the evening of February 22, 2026, the Sabine County Sheriff’s
Office in Texas, received a call of a shooting in their County. Sabine
County Deputies responded to the call locating evidence of a shooting and interviewed witnesses, which stated Todd Stevens of Bronson, Texas, had shot another man. After the shooting, Stevens left the
scene in the victims truck, with the victim also still inside of the vehicle.
Just after 10:00pm on February 22, the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, also in Texas, was
dispatched to a vehicle fire underneath the Trinity River Bridge on Interstate 10. After the fire was
extinguished Chamber County Deputies discovered the burnt remains of an individual, which also
appeared to have injuries consistent with being shot. Deputies noticed the truck matched the type
of vehicle, which was involved in the shooting in Sabine County, TX.
Sabine and Chambers County Sheriff’s Offices began collaborating in their investigations and
the Sabine County Sheriff’s Office secured an arrest warrant for Todd Stevens in connection to the
shooting. Through their combined investigative efforts they developed information Stevens was fleeing the area, possibly being assisted by a family member. Through investigative work they also developed leads Stevens was possibly headed towards Oklahoma, specifically the Johnston County area.
Just after 5pm on February 23, the Sabine County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, relaying the information they had and requesting our assistance in locating and
arresting Stevens. Several JCSO Deputies immediately responded to a residence in the Town of
Wapanucka, where Stevens was believed to be located. An extensive search of the area failed to
produce Stevens, however through interviews and investigative work, Deputies discovered another
residence in the City of Tishomingo, where the suspect could be hiding.
With this new information the Sheriff, Undersheriff and multiple Deputies started towards this location. While enroute to this new location, information was obtained from what appears to possibly
be a co-conspirator, which had been arrested in Sherman, Texas, just hours earlier. Authorities in
Sherman, TX, stated the individual in their custody admitted to dropping Stevens off at the residence
on the north side of Tishomingo.
With this first party information, Deputies arrived and surrounded the residence, and began callout procedures. Eventually, five individuals exited the residence and were placed in investigative
detention. Deputies began clearing the house and out buildings, where at approximately 7:44pm
Stevens was ultimately located, hiding underneath a bed mattress in the master bedroom. Deputies
interviewed and took statements from the other individuals at the residence, which were subsequently released from investigative detention.
The Sabine County Sheriff’s Office was notified we had their
suspect in custody and Stevens was transported to the Johnston
County Jail to await extradition back to Sabine County, Texas. It
is also expected Stevens will face criminal charges in Chambers
County Texas, where the victims body and vehicle were discovered.
“We are extremely proud of the collaboration between law enforcement agencies, including our fellow Sheriff’s Offices in Texas,”
said Sheriff Gary Dodd. “The communication between all agencies
brought a swift end to this suspects run. Also, allowing us to remove
him from our community, protecting the Citizens of Johnston County and Oklahoma.”
THAT'S METHED UP!
A Brevard County (Florida) deputy was out conducting
proactive patrols in January when he located a vehicle on
a dirt trail at a construction site. When he approached the
vehicle, he made contact with the driver, David Harvey, who
was sitting in the vehicle with a .22 caliber rifle on the passenger seat.
The deputy asked Harvey why he was on the property and Harvey told him he was
hunting and had no other purpose on the construction site. It was then discovered that
Harvey was a convicted felon, and that little addition to his resume prohibits him from
owning or possessing a firearm!!
During a probable cause search of his vehicle, the deputy found approximately 13g of
methamphetamine and glass smoking
pipes!!
Ultimately Harvey was charged with
armed trespassing, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of
controlled substance, and possession of
drug paraphernalia and is on No Bond!!

SEE YA!
A child predator was sentenced to 35 years in prison
after over 200 videos were found in his possession.
District Attorney Erik Johnson announced that William
Southern, 31, of Seminole County, was sentenced on February 24 by Associate District Judge Christopher Anderson
to the following:
Count 1: Aggravated Possession of Child Sexual Abuse
Material- 35 years
Count 2: Distribution of Obscene Material or Child Sexual Abuse Material- 10 years
Count 3: Violation of OK Statute via Computer- 5 years
The counts will run concurrently with the last five years suspended. At least 85% of the
sentence must be served before Southern is eligible for parole.
District 22 Chief Investigator Doug Parker conducted the investigation in conjunction with
the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task
Force to secure the convictions in this case.
“Protecting our children across Oklahoma is a top priority,” said Hunter McKee, Public Information Manager with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. “The OSBI Internet Crimes
Against Children Task Force works around the clock to make sure these suspects are located
and arrested. We appreciate our local law enforcement partners who assisted us throughout
this investigation.”
Southern possessed more than 200 videos depicting child sexual abuse and distributed
more than 100 such videos via social media platforms.
“Child exploitation crimes cause lasting harm to children and our community, and those who
commit these crimes must face serious consequences,” said District Attorney Erik Johnson. “I
commend the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation’s ICAC Task Force and District 22 Chief
Investigator Doug Parker for their investigative work. I also want to recognize the tremendous
preparation and fortitude required of my First Assistant District Attorney Krystina Phillips and
Assistant District Attorney Chris Hauger in prosecuting these deeply disturbing cases. Their
commitment to justice and to protecting children in our communities is outstanding.”

A Texas man has been arrested after police say he
drunkenly walked into a fast-food restaurant and assaulted the manager, who immediately responded to the attack with force.
On Sunday, Feb. 22, police were called to a Whataburger restaurant in Paris, Texas, following a report that a man
had entered the restaurant and became verbally abusive
to staff. After entering the restaurant and allegedly being
verbally abusive to staff, the man was asked to leave.
Before he left, the man allegedly threatened to “return and assault the manager” once
police exited the premises, according to an incident report viewed by PEOPLE.
The report further alleges that the man returned to the restaurant and “assaulted the
manager by striking him with his fist multiple times.” In a now-viral video captured by Billy
Jones, a customer inside the restaurant, a Whataburger employee can be seen responding to the attack by repeatedly hitting the man with a trash can.
Another employee attempted to fend off the attacker by striking him with a deep-fryer
basket, according to local outlet Fox 4.
Police later identified the suspect as 41-year-old Anthony William Newhuis, who was
located by officers in the restaurant’s parking lot, where he was found bleeding from the
head, according to the incident report.
Newhuis was arrested and charged with assault resulting in bodily injury, according to
jail records viewed by PEOPLE. He was also charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly “intentionally” flooded the cells of the Lamar County Jail, according to the incident
report issued by the Paris Police Department.
Newhuis was released from jail on Monday, Feb. 23, after posting a $2,000 surety bond
for the criminal mischief charge and a $2,500 bond on the assault charge. A court date
on the charges has not yet been set.
