BAND OF BROTHERS
A Choctaw man was taken into custody after
several law enforcement agencies banded together to bring the suspected child porn zealot
to justice.
Matthew James Decker, 34, was charged May
5 with purchase, procurement, or possession of
child sexual assault materials and violations of the
Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act, in Pottawatomie County District Court.
The arrest was the result of a coordinated effort
between the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU)
and the ICAC Task Force, with assistance from the Choctaw Police Department
and the McLoud Police Department.
Investigators diligently worked to identify, locate, and apprehend the suspect,
ensuring the secure collection of critical evidence and the establishment of a
robust case for prosecution.
Bond for Decker was set at $20,000 and he was ordered back to court on
June 2.

AROUND THE STATE
On April 17, 2026, the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau
of Investigation to investigate an assault with a
hatchet.
Just after 10:00 a.m., Pontotoc County deputies received a call regarding two individuals who
had been injured at a property near Sauls Avenue
and North Broadway in Roff. When deputies arrived on scene, they located an adult male and female, who had both suffered
severe injuries. One of the victims claimed they had both been attacked by an
individual with a hatchet.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. During
the investigation, OSBI special agents and deputies identified the suspect as
41-year-old Cody Pinkerton.
Investigators also determined a five-year-old boy was missing from the home.
The United States Marshals Service, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and other
nearby law enforcement agencies were alerted of the situation and a large-scale
search was initiated.
That afternoon, the Chickasaw Nation Lighthorse Police Department and the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol located Pinkerton in the southern part of rural Love
County. Pinkerton was arrested and booked into the Pontotoc County Jail on
two counts of Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
The five-year-old boy was located with the suspect, unharmed. The child is
safe at this time.

THAT'S METHED UP!
An ex-con who had an insulated beverage container
crammed into his rectum when he was busted on drug
charges has just cut a plea deal that resulted in his release from a Florida lockup.
Walter Frymire, 52, pleaded no contest to possession of a meth pipe and threatening a sheriff’s deputy,
according to court records. A felony drug charge was
dropped by prosecutors as part of a negotiated plea deal.
Frymire, who has been locked up since his October arrest, was sentenced to 180
days. He was freed from jail on March 6 after serving five months in custody.
Frymire was arrested after cops responded to a report of a naked man inside a Winter
Haven park bathroom. When an officer first contacted Frymire, who was fully clothed, he
was carrying a “grey lunch box” holding his meth pipe.
What cops did not realize at the time was that Frymire was still in possession of another
lunch box standard.
While Frymire was subsequently being booked into the Polk County jail, he went through
a full-body scanner designed to identify contraband, like hidden drugs or weapons.
Instead, corrections workers spotted a full-size thermos inside Frymire’s body. The
local sheriff felicitously explained that the item
had entered Frymire’s body a day earlier via
“the exit ramp.”
During treatment at a local hospital, the
thermos was extracted from Frymire. The discovery of the item did not result in additional
charges, since it is not illegal to have a thermos
stashed inside a body cavity.
Frymire has an extensive rap sheet, which
includes numerous
stays in county and
state correctional facilities (where
he has proven to
be a menace by
spitting on corrections workers and
breaking sprinkler
systems).

COLD CASE FILES
Paula Sue “Suzie” Ivey George was a loving
mother to her three sons. The Texas native living
in Manchester, Oklahoma was a single mother
working many jobs to support her boys.
On April 30th, 2013, 13 years ago, Paula was taken from her boys - murdered in their
home. Sometime between 10:30 pm and midnight someone stood on her porch and shot her
through her bedroom window while she was in bed. It is likely the murder was
premeditated since they seemed to know the layout of her house and bedroom.
Paula’s home was located between Manchester and Wakita at the intersection of Kiowa Road and Highway 132, at 79051 Kiowa Road. There was a fair
amount of vehicle traffic in the area. It’s likely someone drove by at the time of
the murder and may not realize they saw something important.
Suzie was born on October 8th, 1968 in Dimmitt, Texas. She graduated from
Dimmitt High School and went on to college. Suzie worked as a plant manager
for a small company in Wakita but she also worked as a electrician and ran a
small business making soap and lotion. She loved animals but specifically horses. Suzie was very active in 4-H and FFA and worked with many kids over the
years helping them with their animals. She attended United Methodist Church.
There is a $5,000 reward for information in Suzie’s murder.
Please call the Grant County Sheriff at (580) 395-2356 with any information in
the murder of mother Paula George. All information is helpful.

LAM CHOP
A Tishomingo man on the lam finally met his match earlier
this month after he was finally caught once again trying to escape the confines of jail.
According to a press release by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, on May 2, at approximately 10:30pm, a vehicle pursuit was initiated by the Tishomingo Police Department.
Tishomingo Police Officers, along with Madill Police Officers, were attempting to locate a vehicle and suspect, which
fled from the Madill Police Department the night before. This
same vehicle had also fled from law enforcement in Gainesville, Texas. In both instances the suspect was able to elude
law enforcement.
Officers located the vehicle at a residence in Tishomingo and were in the process of making contact when the driver fled in a black Chrysler 300.
Tishomingo Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the driver instigated a vehicle pursuit.
The pursuit proceeded east on Main Street and left the City limits toward the Town of Milburn. The
pursuit continued east on SHW 78 at speed over 100mph and passing vehicles in a no passing
zone.
Johnston County Deputies, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police and Murray State Campus Police began
converging towards the pursuit to assist.
The suspect continued fleeing through the Town of Milburn and south on SHW 78 through the
community of Emit towards Nida. The driver then turned east on Stallings Road to Boundary Road,
turning south towards Bryan County. Moments later, units located the suspect vehicle running the
stop sign at Boundary Rd. and the pursuit continued into Bryan County, east on SHW 22 towards
Kenefic. The pursuit then reached speeds over 120mph.
An Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper then arrived at the intersection of SHW 22 & 48. However,
the Trooper was unable to deploy spike strips in time and the pursuit turning northbound on SHW
48 back towards Johnston County.
As the pursuit re-entered Johnston County, the suspect began brake checking the Chickasaw
Lighthorse Police unit and intentionally drove into an open field at SHW 48 and Richardson Ln.
Chickasaw Lighthorse attempted a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI) maneuver, however, the suspect was able to continue through the field.
At this time, Johnston County Sheriff Gary Dodd, equipped with an all-wheel-drive pursuit rated
pickup, was able to take the lead and performed a successful TVI maneuver. The Sheriff subsequently pushed the vehicle into a tree line, preforming a controlled pinning maneuver, bringing this
dangerous pursuit to an end.
The driver fled south on foot jumping several fences until he was eventually chased down by
Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Officer Brent Hall, who took him into custody. At this same time, the
Sheriff was able to take the passenger into custody as other units arrived. The driver, Lawrence
Jaramillo of Tishomingo and passenger Dennis Harrell of Tishomingo, were both arrested and taken
to jail.
Jaramillo, a Native male arrested within the Choctaw Nation boundaries of Johnston County, was
arrested on a Choctaw Nation warrant, felony eluding, driving with a suspended license and resisting arrest. He was transported by Johnston County Deputies to the Atoka County Jail, the nearest
Choctaw Nation hold facility. Harrell, a non-native male was arrested for public intoxication-drugs
and transported to the Johnston County Jail.

NINCOMPOOPS
A New Jersey man is behind bars for allegedly groping the
Easter Bunny at a Pennsylvania shopping center.
According to police, Shivakrishna Bera, 36, was at the South
Hills Village Mall in Pittsburgh on Monday when he approached
the area where a woman dressed as the Easter Bunny was posing for photos.
Bera, cops say, began questioning the costumed character,
who directed his inquiries to her assistant. At one point, the assistant told police, Bera asked
about who was inside the costume, saying, “Is it a boy or a girl?”
As detailed in a criminal complaint, Bera then began touching the costumed woman’s arm
and chest, and grabbed her breasts. He also allegedly shoved his fingers into the nose and
mouth of the Easter Bunny’s costume head.
Bera was subsequently arrested inside a movie theater near the mall. When questioned
by officers about the Easter Bunny incident, Bera (seen at right) reportedly
asked, “It’s a doll, right?” When told a
person was inside the costume, Bera
said, “By mistake, my hand touched
her, if it’s a lady.”
While in custody at the local police
station, Bera, cops say, said that he
touched the bunny costume to “test if
it’s real titties or fake titties.”
Bera, whose drivers license carries
a Jersey City address, was charged
with indecent assault and harassment.
He is locked up on $10,000 bail in advance of an April 2 preliminary hearing. SHONNIE

OBEY OR PAY
Notorious sex offender Jimcy McGirt was sentenced
to 45 months in prison last month for SORNA Violation
and Revocation of Supervised Release.
Jimcy McGirt, 77, was sentenced to 33 months in
prison for one count of Failure to Register as Sex Offender, and 12 consecutive months in prison on the
revocation of his supervised release for his May 2024
conviction of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Minor in
Indian Country. The Court also imposed a lifetime term
of supervised release.
The charge and revocation arose from an investigation by the United States Marshals Service, the Seminole Nation Lighthorse Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
On June 24, 2025, McGirt pleaded guilty to failing to register and update a registration
under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (“SORNA”).
According to investigators, on August 31, 2024, McGirt was discovered residing at an
apartment located less than 2,000 feet from a playground despite having registered his
residence in another county. Investigators also uncovered evidence that McGirt had been
active on social media and the internet, a direct violation of the court-ordered terms and
conditions of his supervised release imposed after his May 2, 2024, conviction in federal
district court for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Minor in Indian Country.
McGirt, a registered sex offender, is required to notify local law enforcement of any
changes of residence and is prohibited from residing within 2,000 feet of a playground
or park.
“This sentence sends the clear message that sex-offender registry compliance is not
optional and that orders of the Court are to be obeyed,” said United States Attorney
Christopher J. Wilson. “These requirements exist to protect our communities, and the
United States will aggressively prosecute individuals who violate their SORNA obligations
and restrictions.” ELIJAH

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty 15 | MAY 2026 SEMINOLE COUNTY
THE VERDICT IS IN
A Seminole County jury returned a guilty verdict last
month in a Seminole County child sexual abuse prosecution.
Billy Barnhill, 62, of Hughes County, was found guilty
following a three-day jury trial, announced District Attorney Erik Johnson in a press release. Barnhill was convicted on multiple felony charges resulting from an investigation by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office and
Chief Investigator Doug Parker after allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct involving
minor children.
The jury recommended the following sentences:
Count 1: Rape-First Degree (Victim Under Age 14) (Felony): 30 years
Count 2: Lewd or Indecent Acts to a Child Under 16 (Felony):20 years
The sentencing hearing is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at which time a judge will determine the final sentence after reviewing the jury’s recommendations.
District Attorney Erik Johnson stated, “There is no greater breach of trust than the
sexual abuse of children. Our office remains committed to pursuing these cases with
determination, holding offenders accountable, and ensuring justice for victims and their
families. The courage it takes for a victim to come forward in these cases cannot be overstated, and it is our responsibility to stand with them throughout the process and ensure
they are supported.”
He continued, “It is especially meaningful that this verdict comes during National Crime
Victims’ Rights Week, a time dedicated to recognizing the strength of victims and the
importance of advocacy on their behalf. Securing justice in this case during this week
underscores our office’s ongoing commitment to standing with victims and ensuring their
voices are heard.”
“No child should ever have to endure what these victims experienced. Their courage to
speak up—despite fear and trauma—is nothing short of remarkable. Because of them,
justice was done. I’m deeply grateful for the work of my co-counsel, Blayne Norman,
Chief Investigator Douglas Parker, and our entire team in Seminole County for standing
with these victims every step of the way,” said Assistant District Attorney Chris Hauger.
Johnson added, “I want to commend Chief Investigator Doug Parker for his critical role
in the investigation. His work was essential to the successful prosecution of this case. I
also want to recognize Assistant District Attorneys Chris Hauger and Blayne Norman for
their extensive efforts in preparing and prosecuting this matter. These prosecutors exemplify dedication to duty and courtroom advocacy on behalf of the public.” JON
