THE POWER OF
PERSUASION
A Claremore Man will be spending the next 10
years in a federal prison for persuading a minor
to have sex with him.
Jacob William Fairchild, 34, for Coercion and
Enticement of a Minor in Indian Country.
Judge Frizzell ordered Fairchild to 120 months imprisonment, followed by
10 years of supervised release. Upon release, Fairchild will also be required
to register as a sex offender.
According to court documents, in March 2012, Fairchild persuaded a
13-year-old minor child to engage in a sexual relationship with him. At that
time, Fairchild was 23 years old.
Fairchild will remain in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons
facility.
The FBI and Rogers County Sheriff’s Office investigated the case.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty ROGERS COUNTY 5 | MARCH 2024
From absent-minded drunks to a not-so-great dime heist and criminal acts of
footsie, 2023 was packed with strange criminal allegations from coast to coast
— and beyond. PART 2
Pilot gets high, tries to bring others down
While fl ying is generally safer than driving, that’s not the case when a man
high on mushrooms tries to shut-off a plane’s engine in mid-fl ight. That’s what
off -duty pilot Joseph Emerson allegedly did during a West Coast fl ight in October where he was a guest travelling in a cockpit jump seat. The 44-year-old
airman told investigators he’d experienced an emotional breakdown and had
not slept.
Colosseum vandal gets an F in history
Some people shouldn’t go anywhere. A 27-year-old tourist confessed to
carving his and his girlfriend’s names into the ancient Colosseum in Rome while
visiting the nearly 2,000-year-old structure. The man identifi ed by his lawyer as
Ivan Danailov Dimitrov apologized, claiming he was unaware of “the antiquity of
the monument.”
Teen “terrorist” shuts down Ford plant
Other people — like Zachariah A. Peterson — are fi ne staying local. The
19-year-old Missouri man is accused swatting Ford’s Kansas City Assembly
Plant in Claycomo, Mo., so his friend wouldn’t have to go to work. Peterson,
who allegedly said he was barricaded in a bathroom on the second fl oor with
an AK-47 and C4 explosives strapped to his chest, is charged with making a
terroristic threat.
Jack in the Bang
Some people shouldn’t go to work. Video released September as part of a
lawsuit against Jack and the Box shows a fast food worker opening fi re through
a drive-thru window following an argument that reportedly involved curly fries.
No one was injured.
Punishment fi ts the crime
An angry Ohio woman was sentenced to work in a fast food joint after throwing a burrito bowl at a Chipotle manager. A judge gave defendant Rosemary
Hayne that bizarre off er to shorten her criminal sentence and she took it, according to Cleveland.com.

Man arrested for making multiple threats
On February 3, a church member from a
church near 5th and S. Memorial called police
about threats of mass murder made on his congregation.
The church member said he came into contact with Ruben Marquez at a
gas station near 11th and 169th. The church member said Marquez told him
that he was going to use his guns to kill everyone at the church, including
women and children.
The investigation revealed that in January, the church member made a police report after Marquez made similar threats and blamed the church for
breaking up his marriage.
Ruben Marquez was taken into custody at his home, not far from the
church. He was arrested for Threatening an Violent Act.

BED BUG
A man wanted in Indiana forced law enforcement officers to use less-than-deadly force to
take him into custody after he refused to cooperate.
Pryor Creek Police Chief Jeremy Cantrell stated in a press release that his department had been given information from
the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office that Jesse James Tripp, who was wanted
out of Indiana for assault & battery while armed, was staying in Pryor. Officers
learned Tripp was at a house on N. Sawyer Street.
Cantrell went on to say that Pryor Creek Police Officers Conseen and
Wright made contact with several people in the area and received information on where Tripp was at. The homeowner allowed officers to enter the residence to search for Tripp. Tripp was located hiding under a bed, but refused
to come out. Mayes County Deputy Penderson deployed pepper-balls under
the bed and Tripp was subsequently taken into custody.
Tripp was booked into the Mayes County Jail on complaints of Fugitive
from justice and Resisting Arrest, but as of press time, no charges have been
filed. His extradition date is set for February 18. JERRY

LINING THE POCKET
A 57-year-old Grove woman was placed under arrest during a traffic stop for an active warrant on January 30.
She also had some drugs and paraphernalia
in her possession,
According to the affidavit, a Delaware County deputy was on patrol at approximately 11:49
p.m. driving southbound on Highway 59 when
he saw a black vehicle with no visible tag lights.
He stopped the vehicle and made contact with
the driver, identified as Lori Lynn Hamilton-Kimmons.
The deputy asked her for her information. As he was checking her info, he
saw her get out of the vehicle and look at the tag light. The deputy was then
advised that Hamilton-Kimmons had a warrant for her arrest. He told her she
was under arrest and placed her in handcuffs.
The deputy found a white napkin in her pocket. She told him it was a meth
pipe. The deputy unrolled the napkin. Inside, he found some tin foil with a
white substance, a glass smoking device with residue, and a black straw
with residue.
The white substance later tested positive for fentanyl.
Hamilton-Kimmons is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs and
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in
court on March 4, 2024.

AROUND THE NATION
News Flash! Trucks don’t surf!
A New York man was arrested and charged in
Florida after authorities caught him driving his pickup truck into the ocean at New Smyrna Beach, just
south of Daytona Beach, early on Tuesday.
A video shared by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office
shows a person driving a white pickup truck into the
water — sometimes driving alongside the waves and other times against it — and
even attempting to perform a donut.
The driver — later identified as 49-year-old Jason Brzuszkiewicz, of Bridgeport,
N.Y. — is then seen off the water chatting with deputies, who informed him the
beach was closed due to high tides.
Bodycam video also shows Brzuszkiewicz attempting to hide from a camera by
covering part of his face with a black baseball cap. He then tells an officer that he’s
not really the one to blame. “It’s not my fault truck don’t surf!” he says.
“Yeah, but you shouldn’t be driving on the beach when the gates are all closed,”
one deputy responds.
“I thought I was in England,” Brzuszkiewicz says.
When the deputy confirms they are not in England, Brzuszkiewicz’s response gets
even more colorful.
“We are not in Kansas, anymore?” he asks, using the famous Judy Garland line
from 1939’s MGM classic “The Wizard of Oz” — before laughing at his own joke.
According to the sheriff’s office, Brzuszkiewicz “drove around a closed gate
marked DO NOT ENTER and
accessed the beach in New
Smyrna Beach.”
He was ultimately charged
with a violation of the Volusia
County Ordinance — failure to
pay vehicular access fee — and
then taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $200 bond.

A 34-year-old Miami man is being charged with
first-degree murder after he allegedly shot and
killed a man on January 5.
According to the affidavit, Miami police officers
were dispatched to the 800 block of Second Avenue Northwest to investigate a shooting. When they arrived at the location, they
found the victim, who was deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to the
head.
Officers detained Travis Christian WIlbur at the scene.
A special agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assisted the
Miami Police Department in investigating the murder. He spoke to Wilbur, who
said he was working on a trailer in his friend’s garage when he heard a noise
outside. The victim and another man walked into the garage. Wilbur said the
victim hit him, either with a gun or with his first.
The two men continued to fight outside of the garage.
Wilbur told the agent that they started to wrestle over a gun. At some point,
the gun discharged and the victim fell to the ground. Wilbur admitted that he
shot the victim, and the gun officers found at the scene was the weapon he
used.
OSBI agents found a doorbell camera at a nearby residence. The camera
caught some of what happened that day. On the video, the victim and the other
man are seen running toward the 800 block of Second Avenue Northwest. After
several minutes, two gunshots are heard on the recording. A man yelled, “shoot”
and “shoot me” several times before another gunshot was heard.
The victim was then recorded backing away from Wilbur’s vehicle before another gunshot was heard and he fell to the ground. He had a gunshot wound to
the left eye and an exit wound to the back of the head. The victim did not have
a gun located on his body when officers investigated the scene.
Wilbur is being charged with murder in the first degree with deliberate intent.
He is being held without bond and was scheduled to appear in court on February 12, 2024.
