Husband and wife arrested
for murder
A married couple is behind bars for their involvement in the October 22 shooting deaths of two
people just outside of Owasso.
According to reports, deputies with the Rogers
County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to
the 7600 block of N. 174th East Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. When they arrived, they found
a victim lying in the street. The other victim was
found in the driver’s seat of a car.
Near the scene, 47-year-old Manuel Quezada
was standing in the street – he had a gun in his
back pocket.
The victims, one shot in the head and the other
in the chest, were rushed to the hospital, where
they were later pronounced dead.
One of the victims, who were aged 20 and
21, was allegedly involved in a romantic relationship with the daughter of Quezada and his wife,
45-year-old Angelica Quezada.
During the investigation, deputies learned that
Manuel Quezada did not like his daughter’s boyfriend, and there was “obvious animosity” among
the suspects and victims.
Manuel Quezada was booked into jail for two
counts of first-degree murder.
Angelica Quezada is being charged with accessory to murder.
Bond information and court dates were unavailable at time of print.

More than 100,000 children and
youth in the U.S. foster care system are awaiting permanent families. National Adoption Month is a
time to raise awareness about the
adoption of children and youth
from foster care.
The Children’s Bureau in partnership with AdoptUSKids and
Child Welfare Information Gateway sponsors the initiative each November as a way to focus public attention on the urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth waiting
in foster care for a permanent family. This year’s focus, “Partnering for
Permanency,” builds on the social media theme from last year. A special
web page on Information Gateway’s website helps child welfare professionals, prospective adoptive parents, and youth partner for permanency.
The website contains resources, stories, and videos on topics such as getting started with social media, how to build a recruitment campaign, and
how social media impacts child welfare and adoption. The website can be
found at http://www.childwelfare.gov/adoption/nam/.

Someone in Washington State Donated A
Weed-Filled Cooler Worth $24K To Goodwill
If you have junk you
need to get rid of; Goodwill is the place to go. But
of course, one man’s trash
is another man’s treasure.
A Goodwill in Monroe,
Washington State, received a not-so-ordinary
donation. While sorting
through donations, employees scored a cooler full of weed. Not just a couple
grams, but five whole bags full. Talk about a surprise.
Employees discovered the weed while sorting through donations that day.
So, they decided to call the cops.
Police attempted to track down the cooler’s owner, but the mission was
unsuccessful since they didn’t know if it was donated at this location or at a
Goodwill trailer that sits in another town.
Meanwhile, a lot of people on social media are claiming the cooler is theirs.
According to Debbie Willis of the Monroe Police Department, no one has yet
to fetch it, though.
Believe it or not, pot isn’t the strangest contribution to come through Goodwill’s doors. In fact, people commonly leave the most random of things behind
with their donated goods.
According to Katherine Boury, a spokesperson for Goodwill, employees
once came across three human skulls.
“In 2014, three human skulls were found. We worked with authorities to
track down the origin of the Native American skull for proper burial.”
Two of the skulls had been used for medical research, while the other one
was a Native American skull that was more than 100 years old.
So, what’s the pending date of the donated cannabis? According to Willis,
it’s only a moment of time before it goes to waste.
“It’s sitting in our evidence, waiting yearly burn of that type of evidence.”
At the present time, it’s legal in Washington to possess once ounce of cannabis if you’re 21 and over. The donated stash was 60 times over that limit.

A Florida couple arrested for DUI reportedly attempted to have sexual intercourse in the back of the patrol vehicle about to transport them to jail.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, officials said the couple—identified as
35-year-old Megan Lynn Mondanaro and 31-year-old Seth Aaron Thomas—
were seen attempting to disrobe in the back of the Nassau County Sheriff’s
Office squad car. They had been riding bicycles at night without running lights
and reportedly came in close contact with a motorist when a deputy spotted
and stopped them.
Mondanaro was charged with DUI, exposing sex organs, unnatural and lascivious act and resisting without violence.
Thomas was charged with threat against a public official, unnatural and lascivious act, exposing sex organs and DUI.
Both Thomas and Mondanaro reportedly have lengthy criminal records.
A man who reportedly claimed to be a police officer during an argument with
an employee of a strip club in Waverly, NE—a suburb of Lincoln— now faces
criminal charges of making terroristic threats and impersonating a police officer.
According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Capt. John Vik of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the man—identified as 26-year-old Keith Charles Urban—had been causing a disturbance at the Shakers Gentleman’s Club and
was being escorted from the building when Urban claimed to be a police officer
armed with a handgun.
An employee told deputies that during the confrontation, Urban drew what
appeared to be a Glock from his waistband and pressed it against the employee’s midsection.
Vik said the man then fled in a vehicle but was apprehended at a vehicle stop
shortly thereafter. Inside the vehicle, deputies reportedly found a CO2 BB gun
that looked like a handgun.
A New York man was arrested after he allegedly tried to pull over a van full of
police detectives.
According to Fox News, the man—identified as 25-year-old Valiery Portlock—reportedly activated emergency lights and sounded an air horn as he
attempted to pull the van over in the Long Island town of Hicksville.
When the occupants of the van—members of the Nassau County Police Department’s electronics squad—identified themselves, Portlock reportedly fled
the scene. He was later arrested by highway patrol and charged with criminal
impersonation, reckless endangerment, and fleeing the police.
A knucklehead Ohio bank robber slipped a teller a hold-up note — with his
name and address scrawled on it, officials said.
Michael Harrell, 54, entered a US Bank branch in Cleveland and passed the
not-so-discreet note, the FBI said.
“When the teller took the note, and looked at it and looked at the other side,
she saw his name, he had used a note that he had used earlier at the [Ohio
Bureau of Motor Vehicles] and it had his name on it,” FBI Special Agent Vicki
Anderson told news station WIVB.
The teller reportedly complied with his demand and handed Harrell $206
before calling the authorities.
“She actually even referred to him as Michael. Gave him the money and called
him Michael and then notified law enforcement,” Anderson said.
Harrell, who was a frequent customer, has been arrested in the robbery, CNN
reported. It’s unclear if charges have been filed against him.

THE TOWN OF SOUTH COFFEYVILLE WOULD LIKE TO KEEP YOU OUT OF JAIL!
If you have a warrant with the Town of South Coffeyville, Okla., and would like to get rid of
that warrant once and for all, you can contact the Court Clerk at 1-918-255-6045, option 1.
When a warrant is issued, the amount is sent to a collection agency. At that time, the collection agency will have an additional fee of 25% of the amount of the warrant added onto the
amount due. The town is offering two options at this time. If you would like a pay order, you
will need to pay 35% down of the amount due and sign a pay order. After 35% is paid and
a pay order is signed, the warrant will be recalled and the collection agency will be paid. If
you want to pay the warrant and collection fee, a discount on the warrant will be given for a
total that is over $500. No discounts will be given for pay orders. This will not apply to new
arrests. (Partial list, more to come)

OSBI INVESTIGATING OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating an
officer-involved shooting that occurred in Delaware County on October 25.
This is the latest on the investigation:
On Friday, October 25, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office requested
OSBI assistance with an officer-involved shooting. The shooting occurred
at a residence located in the 57000 block of S. 603 Road in Kansas, Okla.
Deputies were originally called to the location for a domestic disturbance. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded to the scene including the Kansas Police Department, West Siloam Springs Police Department, Cherokee Nation Marshall Service and Delaware County Sheriff’s
Office.
During the course of responding to the disturbance, shots were fired and
40-year-old Clayton Andrews was shot and killed.
The investigation is open and ongoing.
The OSBI will continue investigating. Once the investigation is complete,
a report will be compiled and submitted to the District Attorney’s office for
review. The DA’s office will determine if the shooting was justified or not.
OSBI DISCLAIMER: ** The following update is based on an ongoing investigation, which continues to evolve as the OSBI interviews witnesses
and collects evidence. The OSBI’s understanding of the facts and circumstances may evolve over the course of the investigation as additional witnesses are interviewed and additional evidence is collected and analyzed.

A distant memory
A 20-year-old Miami man allegedly jacked a credit
card from someone else’s vehicle and tried to use it to
buy some stuff at Walmart.
According to the affidavit, two people contacted a
Miami officer on July 17 and said someone had broken
into their vehicle and taken a wallet and a key fob.
On July 22, one of the victims told a detective assigned to the case that whoever had taken the wallet
tried to use the card at Pete’s in the 1800 block of
North Main. The victim spoke to the clerk, who identified the person who tried to use the card as Zachary
Tyler Goodson.
The detective retrieved a still photo taken from
security footage at the store. The man in the photo
matched the mugshot of Goodson the Miami Police
Department had on file.
The victim said they canceled the card as soon as they found out it was stolen. She
was later alerted that someone had tried to use it at Walmart. The detective retrieved
security footage from the store. The video showed Goodson attempt to use the card,
but it was declined.
On August 2, a woman contacted police and said she wanted to speak to someone
regarding her son. She told the detective she saw a video of a person breaking into a
vehicle – she recognized that person as her son, identified as Goodson. She added
that she had purchased the clothing Goodson was wearing in the video.
The detective informed her he was working on another case involving her son. He
showed her the video of Goodson trying to use the stolen card at Walmart. The woman said Goodson had told her he had broken into some cars.
On August 6, the detective went to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Officer to speak with
Goodson, who was currently behind bars for other charges. The detective told him
that he had video footage of him trying to use the stolen card. Goodson said the only
car he remembered breaking into was the one he was arrested in.
When the detective showed him the pictures taken from Walmart, Goodson replied,
“That’s definitely me, but that stuff, I bought.”
Goodson is being charged with unauthorized use of a credit card and knowingly
receiving stolen property. His bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on November 21, 2019.
