ARRESTS MADE IN CATOOSA
SUSPICIOUS DEATH CASE
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI) arrested a suspect in the death of a Catoosa man that occurred on June 7, 2020.
Bradley Bales, 33, was arrested on July 14 and
booked into the Rogers County jail facing one
charge of Murder in the First Degree for the death
of 55-year-old Bart Kutt.
A second suspect, Madison Broyles, 18, was
arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force at the
Airport Inn and Suites in Tulsa on August 2. She
is facing charges of Murder in the First Degree,
Larceny of an Automobile, and Desecration of a
Human Corpse related to the death of 55-yearold Bart Kutt.
Just after 7 p.m. on June 8, 2020, Catoosa police officers were conducting a welfare check in
the 18000 block of East Archer. The homeowner
had not been seen or heard from for several days.
When conducting the welfare check, officers noticed a foul smell coming from the garage. Then
they saw a body lying on the floor deceased. At
that time, the cause of death and the identity of
the individual were undetermined.
Dental records helped identify the deceased
as Kutt, who owned the property where he was
found.
Both Bales and Broyles are being held the in the Rogers County jail without
bond.

Tulsa man Bradley Allen Hill, 30, allegedly tried to
run over a man and ram an officer’s car after stealing a
truck from a gas station on July 11. He said he was just
trying to see his family back home.
According to the police report, a Jay officer was dispatched to a gas station in the 900 block of Main Street
due to a truck being stolen. The suspect had tried to
run over the reporting party.
The officer saw the stolen vehicle traveling south on
Main. He stopped the truck and ordered the driver, later
identified as Hill, to show his hands. Hill complied, but
the officer noticed that his patrol car had shifted into
neutral and was rolling forward. When he went to stop
it, Hill threw the stolen truck back into drive and took off
from the scene.
Hill headed south on Highway 59 and tried to ram the officer’s patrol car. During the
pursuit, he crossed the center line and reached speeds of approximately 115 mph.
He also ran several cars off the road..
Hill attempted to make a u-turn at the NAPA at 499 US-59 in Kansas, but the truck
came to a stop. Officers ordered the man to get out of the truck.
Hill agreed to speak to the officer. He apologized for what he had done. He said he
had just gotten out of rehab for a heroin addiction. He was riding a bike back to Tulsa
to see his family.
Hill said his wife cheated on him and wouldn’t let him see their kids. When he saw
the truck at the gas station, he jumped inside. A man ran up to the truck and tried to
stop him, but Hill just kept on going. He said he knew he’d probably be caught, but he
just wanted to make it to Tulsa.
When the officer asked Hill why he tried to ram the patrol car, Hill said he didn’t want
to hurt the officer – he just wanted to disable his car so he couldn’t follow.
Hill is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and
battery with a deadly weapon, larceny of automobile, aircraft, or other motor vehicle,
all after former conviction of a felony, reckless driving, and driving while suspended/
canceled/revoked. His bond was set at $17,500, and he is scheduled to appear in
court on August 10, 2020.

Fabricio Jimenez, 20, was a passenger in a
car that was pulled over during a 3:45 AM traffic stop in Tampa.
When a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office
deputy approached the auto, the female cop
“immediately noticed Jimenez had a white
powdery substance on his nose she recognized to be powder cocaine,” according to investigators.
Jimenez’s nose was subsequently swabbed
by police and a field test returned a positive result for the presence of cocaine in the sample.
Deputies photographed Jimenez and his dusty
nose during the traffic stop.
A search of Jimenez’s shoes yielded a small bag of cocaine, while police also
seized a backpack containing 250 grams of marijuana and 13 Xanax pills.
Jimenez, arrested on three felony narcotics possession charges, “attempted
to tell the deputies the cocaine on his nose was not his,” according to the sheriff’s
office.
It does not appear Jimenez offered an explanation as to how someone else’s
cocaine got into his nose.
Jimenez is also facing probation violation charges in connection with his conviction last year on cocaine and marijuana charges. After pleading guilty to three
felonies, Jimenez was sentenced in November to two years probation and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
Jimenez was arrested last August following a traffic stop in Tampa. Cops found
11 bags of pot and 4 bags of cocaine in a backpack inside the 2009 Honda
Accord (Jimenez was alone in the car). Jimenez, cops reported, “admitted the
marijuana and cocaine belonged to him, and he sells the marijuana for additional
money.”

A date has been set for the trial of a former
Nowata County jailer who allegedly sexually assaulted an inmate in 2019.
Bartlesville man Cody Lowen, 32, will go to trial
on December 7.
According to reports, the Nowata County Sheriff’s Office immediately terminated Lowen after the
incident with the inmate was brought to light on
April 30, 2019.
He was arrested in May.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assisted the sheriff’s office while looking into the accusations.
Court records show that the man waived his
right for a preliminary hearing for the felony charges. A status conference
was conducted over the phone in June.
His pre-trial date court date is set for September 8.
Lowen is being charged with forcible sodomy and rape by instrumentation. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on December 7, 2020.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.

that’s not my truck
58-year-old Miami man Michael Ray Griffin
was put behind bars after a deputy caught him
driving a stolen truck in the early morning hours
of July 31.
According to the affidavit, an Ottawa County
deputy was dispatched to a possible burglary
in progress in the 3600 block of S. 590 Road.
After clearing the call, he saw a tan Chevy truck
drive by the residence. He noticed that the
truck didn’t have a license plate.
The deputy saw a paper dealer’s tag on the
inside of the back driver’s side window, but the
windows were too darkly tinted for him to read
it. The driver was also speeding.
He stopped the truck and made contact with the driver, identified as
Griffin. Griffin argued about the speeding and said he had only been going
35 mph. The deputy then told him that he also stopped the man because
of the tag situation. The deputy checked the VIN that was on the temporary tag – it came back to a Dodge out of Missouri. He advised Griffin that
the tag didn’t match the vehicle.
The deputy looked for the VIN that should have been on the driver’s side
dash and also on the driver’s side door, but they had both been removed.
He asked Griffin to step out of the vehicle. Griffin denied removing anything from the vehicle. He said he had purchased the truck from a man in
Missouri and was told a title would be sent to him in a couple of weeks.
The deputy checked Griffin for weapons, and the man advised he had
two pill bottles in his pocket. He said one contained pills and one had
marijuana, but he had his medical marijuana card.
Inside the pill container, the deputy found seven 2-mg Alprazolam pills,
10 1-mg Clonazepams and 46 1-mg Alprazolam, more commonly known
as Xanax and Klonopin.
The deputy detained Griffin and a passenger.
While looking in the vehicle, he found the VIN sticker that belonged on
the door under the sun visor on the driver’s side.
He also located the VIN in the glove compartment. When he checked
the number through dispatch, he was advised that the vehicle had been
reported stolen out of Missouri.
The VIN found under the visor matched the number in the glove compartment.
Griffin is being charged with possession of stolen vehicle and possession of controlled dangerous substance. His bond was set at $8,500, and
he is scheduled to appear in court on August 26, 2020.
