Two Duncan men who worked for a woman in
Marlow were taken to jail for burglary after the woman realized some items were missing from her home.
On June 27, Marlow police officers were dispatched
to a residence in the 700 block of Whitaker Street
shortly after 2 p.m. The homeowner told police she
had hired two men, 28-year-old Michael Justin Shivers, and 31-year-old Joshua Lane Holt, to do some
painting and yard work for her. She later discovered
someone had broken into her home while she was
gone and had stolen several items.
An officer went to a residence in the 300 block of
Pecan Street to speak to the men. When he made
contact with Shivers, the man said he “may” have a
warrant through Stephens County. He did, and the
officer took him to jail.
Holt was also at the residence, but he became “extremely” nervous
when the officer asked to speak with him, according to the affidavit.
Holt said Shivers had broken into the woman’s home and took several items, including some jewelry. Shivers gave him a bag containing
the stolen items, and he hid it in the house.
Holt led the officer to the laundry room and handed him a backpack.
The items inside the bag were later identified as belonging to the victim.
The next day, the officer spoke to Shivers. Shivers told the officer he
never broke into the woman’s home, but it was actually Holt who had
taken the items.
Shivers’s girlfriend also told the officer Holt committed the burglary.
Later that day, Holt went to the police department to speak with the
officer. He admitted that he had broken into the home with Shivers
and helped the man take a television. He said he never went back into
the house, and he didn’t take anything else from the property.
Holt is being charged with knowingly concealing stolen property
and burglary in the second degree. His bond was set at $10,000.
Shivers is being charged with knowingly concealing stolen property
and burglary in the second degree. His bond was set at $75,000.
They are both scheduled to appear in court on August 19, 2015.

BELONGING TO ANOTHER
A wanted Duncan woman took off
running during a traffic stop on June
26. She told the officer she ran because she didn’t have a valid driver’s
license, but he also found drugs in her
pocket.
According to the police report, a
state trooper stopped 26-year-old
Jennifer Jade Howell on Cypress
Street shortly after 7 p.m. because the
woman had an improper tag display
on her vehicle. Howell told the officer that she didn’t have her driver’s
license with her.
While checking the woman’s information, the trooper was advised that Howell was a wanted felon.
The woman opened the door on her car, and he told her to keep
it shut. She then jumped out of her vehicle and took off running between two houses on the north side of Seventh and Cypress. The
trooper chased after the woman and yelled at her to stop. Howell
didn’t willingly stop – she was forced to when the officer caught up
to her and placed her in handcuffs.
The officer searched the woman’s person, and he found a small tin
can in her pocket. Inside was a small baggy containing a clear crystal
substance, two straws with residue and ½ of a pill that was alter
identified as a schedule 3 substance.
On the way to jail, the trooper asked Howell why she took off running during the traffic stop. She told him she ran because she didn’t
have a valid driver’s license.
Howell’s license was under revocation.
Howell is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous
substance, escape from arrest or detention and driving with license
suspended. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on August 19, 2015.
Run, run, run

What you’re saying
about this on...
Richard F: Should be treated as a sex crime.
Blake A: Ridiculous
Mandy I: Ok first off as a citizen you have the right to refuse and officer to enter
your home until he provides the paper work staying he has that right! So she was not in the
wrong as she closed “HER” door! The officer also did not state what he was arresting her
for? Hmm some bs right there! It isn’t a right to arrest there has to be a reason stating while
in the process of cuffing someone! Talk about literally stepping on her rights just because
he has a badge!!
Jerry P: They can enter for probable cause, but this may not have been
Dalton J: Cause all cops follow the rules?
Cassi G: I wasn’t naked but this reminds me of when I had my second child and
an officer came into my room 3 hours after I had a c-section, yelling at me, and telling me
if I wasn’t laying in a hospital bed, I would be arrested. He kept saying he had court papers
signed by a judge that my first child was to be with his father at that time, when those
papers were never signed. When I asked to see the signed papers, he told me they were evidence and I wasn’t allowed to see them. My heart was pounding on the monitor. The other
officer with him didn’t say anything during the incident, but confronted him when they left
the room. He checked the papers and saw they weren’t signed. Came back the next day to
apologize and told their boss about the incident. I filed a report but nothing ever happened
to the officer. That was a horrible situation! A moment that should have been filled with
joy, completely shattered by nonsense.
Lonny F: Charge him with felony trespass.....( Handcuff and restrained and with
a firearm) no different than someone else that entered and did the same thing....if its true
Bridgett S: I believe they were in the wrong for entering. However if cops show
up and enter my house while I am naked. I believe I would ask them to hold on until i get
clothes on, not, hey wait and let me grab my phone. I would also be nice about it. Lol
Chock D: If an officer enters your place without a warrant or probable cause then
it is consider B&E or forcible entry. Meaning that if you are in fear for your life you can
shot him.
Dan S: She closed the door in his face. Why didn’t she just leave the door open while
she went for her phone ?
Mizzus L: Something like this happened to me in OKC about 8 years ago... Except
I wasn’t arrested... I called MULTIPLE attorneys, and they all agreed the Police was wrong,
A woman handcuffed while naked by a police officer
who entered her home illegally is planning to file a lawsuit against the city. “I felt helpless. I felt violated. And
honestly, I felt molested,” said Esmeralda Rossi. The incident was captured on cellphone cameras.
Police records said Rossi was trying to agitate the officer
but an investigation found that he did, in fact, enter the
home illegally. What would you do?
KJRH posted this story. We’re curious
as to what our readers would do.
but because it was the FBI, ATF and OSBI, nobody would touch it with a ten foot pole...
David M: Everyone is suddenly a lawyer. Your only hearing part of the story and
convicting parties as of yet in heard from. SMH.
Randy F: If he had no business being in the residence, he became a criminal when
he entered. Treat him as such.
Scott T: The officer should be canned AND prosecuted.
Angela C: Ok so if and I’m saying if he had been there and told her you say something, and you will die. I suppose that everyone would have been on here saying the cops
should have came in and looked around.
April C: Just because she answered the door wearing just a towel, which by the
way is a stupid thing to do, doesn’t mean there wasn’t a possible situation inside the home.
She could have very well been going for a gun, or maybe an unseen person was forcing her
to back away from the door. How are the police supposed to know? If they got a domestic
call then it could have been anything. Moral of this story is, don’t answer your door naked,
dumba**!
Mike G: Moral of the story all that b.s u mentioned above doesn’t count . if she
didn’t invite him in & he didn’t have a search warrant . THEN HE ENTERED HER HOUSE
ILLEGALLY !!! stop making excuses !! We have rights JUST because of sh** like this !!
Mark D: sure its not her first video or lawsuit
Tammy R: Good thing all the people on Facebook were there to know ALL the
facts!
James H: The best thing to do in this case is to very nicely ask this lady how much
they owe her and pay her. Of course this should be done after the termination of the officer
from the city.
Jeff D: that is rediculous he should be fired for sure
Adrian P: Wow, reading some of the comments here, there are some people who
really have issues. The cop should be charged and do jail time, but this is a state who dosent
recognize Martin Luther King day do it dosent suprise me.
John J: fire him
Troy R: Lock him in gen-pop of a prison for a week. Let him find out how much a
bad a** he is there.
Lanette K: Retires to secure his pension! I hope she gets most of it in the law suit.
This was just wrong on so many levels!
Michelle K: How humiliating!
Skylar L: They never report the whole story. They never show the whole video.
Funny how that is huh ?? Looking to get rich quick.
Blackie P: If there wasn’t any reason to be there, then I say, sue them!
Jillian H: That is absolute bs. I hope she wins and wins big and will hopefully be
able to recover along with her daughter.

Rush Springs man Garland Dee Burch, 53, allegedly drove
around a man’s front yard while brandishing a gun and threatening to kill people on June 23.
He was placed under arrest after an officer found him driving
while drunk.
Shortly after 2 a.m., a Grady County deputy was dispatched to
the 4800 block of County Street in Cox due to an intoxicated man
driving recklessly in a yard threatening to kill the homeowner.
Dispatch also advised the man had a gun.
The deputy located Burch driving away from the scene. He
stopped the vehicle and told the man to get out of his truck.
Burch was obviously intoxicated.
When the deputy asked him what was going on, he said he was going to “kill them
people.” Burch said a man raped his daughter two years ago and nothing had ever happened, so he was going to take care of it himself. He also admitted he had had “too
much” to drink.
According to the affidavit, the deputy placed Burch under arrest.
The man told him there was a gun in his vehicle – it wasn’t loaded.
The deputy went back to the scene and spoke to the homeowner. He told the officer
around 2 a.m., he was woke up to headlights in his window and the sound of a vehicle in
his yard. He looked outside and saw Burch driving around in circles in his front yard. He
said Burch threatened to kill anyone who came outside.
The man told Burch to go home, but Burch said he wasn’t going anywhere until he
took care of business. Burch called him a “punk bitch” and told the man he was going to
shoot him.
Another man at the residence told the officer he and Burch have history. The man said
he was accused of raping Burch’s daughter, but nothing ever came about from the accusations. Since then, Burch has been threatening to kill the man.
While the man and the deputy were talking, Burch kept yelling, “This s--- isn’t over,
mother f-----!”
Burch is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol aggravated, carrying firearm while under the influence and threaten to perform
act of violence. His bond was set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
August 12, 2015.

Chickasha woman Kimberly Kay Inlow, 50, was arrested after she marched into a hair salon and took a fragrance warmer
on July 3.
The woman also had drugs in her possession and appeared to
be under the influence of something.
According to the police report, a Chickasha officer was dispatched to the salon in the 1400 block of S. Fourth Street at
approximately 12:48 p.m. Employees told police that a woman
walked into the restroom and stole a black fragrance warmer
from the business.
The officer found the woman, later identified as Inlow. He
asked her if she had just left the hair salon. She told him, “Yes,
but I didn’t take anything.” He asked her where her purse was.
She initially tried to deny that she had a purse.
After talking to the officer, she told him to follow her. She led him to a gray car and handed
him the fragrance warmer. Inlow told the officer she didn’t want to go to jail.
A man was sitting in the driver’s seat, and he gave the officer consent to search the vehicle.
He said most of the items in the car belonged to Inlow.
Inlow then became disorderly and uncooperative; the officer placed her in handcuffs.
The officer found a bag in the passenger’s seat containing two used syringes that later field
tested positive for methamphetamine, two plastic bags with a green leafy substance that field
tested positive for marijuana, and a spoon. He also located a burnt rolling paper with a green
leafy substance in the woman’s purse.
The officer tried talking to Inlow about the items, but she appeared to be under the influence of something. Her speech was quick and repetitive, her movements were jerky, and she
was having trouble standing still.
He asked her if she had anything else in her belongings. Inlow told her he found everything.
Inlow is being charged with two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance,
unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, petit larceny and public intoxication. Her bond
was set at $5,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 21, 2015.
Such a lovely fragrance

DOMESTIC a&B
A 36-year-old Chickasha man tried
to run when an officer stopped him
for speeding on July 9.
Nathan Allen Falk told the officer
he ran because he had a gun, drugs,
and he was high on meth.
At approximately 5:59 p.m., a
Chickasha officer saw a vehicle speed
past him on Dakota Avenue. Neither of the vehicle’s occupants were
wearing seat belts. He stopped the
vehicle in the 1800 block of Dakota
Avenue, and the driver, identified as
Falk, jumped out of the truck with his
hands in the air.
The officer told the man to get back in the truck, but he took off
running instead. He didn’t get far though, and the officer placed him
under arrest.
Falk’s passenger told the officer there was a gun in the vehicle that
Falk had planned to pull on the officer, but she knocked it out of his
hand.
The officer saw a shotgun with a sawed-off barrel in the passenger
floorboard.
According to the affidavit, the gun wasn’t the only thing the officer
found. In the center console, he found a green leafy substance and
a baggy containing a white powdery substance. The substances later
tested positive for marijuana and methamphetamine.
Falk told the officer he was high on meth and had smoked a gram
about an hour before the traffic stop. He said he knew there was a
gun in the vehicle, but he didn’t touch it.
While checking the man’s information, the officer was advised
Falk is a convicted felon.
Falk is being charged with possession of firearm after former felony conviction, possession of sawed-off shotgun/rifle, two counts of
possession of controlled dangerous substance and attempted escape
from arrest or detention. His bond was set at $250,000, and he is
scheduled to appear in court on August 12, 2015.
A very dangerous situation
