32-year-old David Anthony Rodriguez was caught in a lie
when he gave an officer some false information to avoid being
arrested. The Duncan man was arrested anyway after his lies
fell through and he admitted to using meth.
On June 5, a Duncan officer was patrolling the area of Will
Rogers School due to recent vehicle burglaries, when he saw
a bicycle traveling south on 13th Street around 1:37 a.m. The
bike didn’t have a headlight or taillight, so the officer stopped
the two-wheeled device to see what its driver was up to.
According to the affidavit, the officer noticed the man looked
like a subject he had tried to stop during a vehicle burglary the
night before. The man, later identified as Rodriguez, gave the
officer information that dispatch was unable to verify. He also
seemed nervous and was sweating profusely.
When officers asked to search his property, Rodriguez became defensive and said he didn’t
break any laws, and he didn’t want them going through his stuff.
One officer noticed the man had gang-related tattoos. Rodriguez admitted to going to prison, but he said he just did a few months in a “military prison.” The officer was a former military police officer. He told Rodriguez he wasn’t aware of any military prisons.
Rodriguez continued to change his story until the officer tried to place him under arrest.
He pulled away and resisted being placed in handcuffs. After a brief struggle, the man was
locked up.
Rodriguez eventually admitted that he lied about his name, because he was a suspect in a
possible cold case in Texas, and he was on the run. He also told the officer he had just injected
himself with methamphetamine.
Dispatch advised Rodriguez had warrants in Wisconsin, Arkansas and Stephens County.
In the man’s backpack, police found a shoot up kit and four small baggies containing a
white crystal like substance. The substance tested positive for meth.
Rodriguez is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance. His bond
was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 22, 2015.

Tanner Craig Pipkin, 22, was caught
creeping around Highway 81 and Timbercreek in Duncan looking in vehicles on May
23. The Calera man was arrested and locked
up after police found some stolen items in
his possession.
According to the affidavit, a Duncan officer was advised that some guy, dressed
in all black, was prowling around vehicles
shortly after 11 p.m. The officer found the
man walking in the ditch to the east of
Highway 81.
When the officer made contact with the man, identified as Pipkin, he
noticed a wallet in the man’s hand. Pipkin smelled like booze. Some
tests revealed the man was intoxicated.
While he was checking the possible prowler’s information, two men
approached another officer and told him they saw Pipkin inside of
their vehicle, which was parked in front of a local motel.
The men had video footage of Pipkin in the car. In the video, Pipkin
attempted to cover the camera with his hat.
Pipkin told police the wallet in his hand belonged to his girlfriend.
An officer searched the man, and he found jewelry, a garage door
opener and a large amount of coins.
Another officer made contact with the owner of the wallet – she said
she didn’t know her wallet was missing until the officer told her. She
definitely wasn’t Pipkin’s girlfriend.
Pipkin is being charged with burglary in the second degree, knowingly concealing stolen property and public intoxication. His bond was
set $50,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 8, 2015.

A Wilson man threw a 12-pack of beer out of his window
during a chase with a Stephens County deputy on June 2.
Apparently 42-year-old Howard Russell Murray thought the
deputy wouldn’t notice.
She did.
The deputy was on patrol in Velma when she saw a car
speeding down Pinto Road at approximately 1:48 p.m. She
turned on her lights and pursued the vehicle, but the vehicle
did not immediately stop, according to the affidavit.
The driver, later identified as Murray, kept on driving and
turned eastbound on Sunray Road CR 179.
The vehicle was traveling in excess of 80 mph. At one
point, the driver threw a 12-pack box of beer out of the window. One of the bottles was partially open and spewing all
over the road.
Murray eventually came to a stop and turned off his car.
The deputy ordered him and his passenger to keep their hands where she could see them.
When she walked up to the car, she immediately smelled alcohol. Murray had red, watery
eyes, and he was slurring his words. He told her he had consumed “6 or 8” beers that day. He
also admitted to throwing the beers out of the window.
Dispatch advised the man’s license was suspended.
The deputy asked Murray to step out of the vehicle for sobriety tests. When he exited the
car, he held out his hands as though he was being handcuffed.
Murray was unsteady on his feet, and during the tests, he kept telling the deputy, “Oh, you
got me on that one!”
The deputy placed Murray under arrest.
Murray’s passenger told the deputy he hadn’t been drinking at all. He said he told Murray
to pull over, but he wouldn’t listen to him.
Murray is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol
and driving with license suspended. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to
appear in court on July 14, 2015.

What you’re saying
about this on...
Leon S: I had a flatbed trailer stolen one time I knew exactly where I was at the cop
told me to go steal it back. It’s really just a bunch of bullshit to protect and to serve my ads.
I would sue the police department for not doing their job. I bet if you said the guy with the
iPad had a gun there somebody would’ve showed up.? The next time you’re stealing your
stuff back don’t be so freaking honest only thieves and liars get away with stuff like that
honest people always get caught .
April C: I say the guy is a coward because he used a bat. If you’re going to fight a
mans fight honey, God gave you 2 good hands with fists to take care of business. If you can’t
win with them then you need to pull your big girl panties up and go home.
Preston K: His name is fitting
Kristy J: I had the whole top end of a motor stolen out of my racecar. Called the
sheriffs office because I knew exactly who got it and where it was located. Said they couldn’t
do anything the guy was already in jail for assaulting his gf. That was 6 years ago and still
haven’t gotten part of my motor back. So I applaud this guy!!! Hate a thief and a liar!!!!!
Joshua H: Dude is a hero
Michael L: Even better one, at a rodeo I watched people crawl to their vehicles
stone cold drunk, get in and drive off, in front of the police. When asked if they are going to
bust them for drunk driving, said cop replied with “ no we ain’t going to bust them, if we did
then it would bring bad business against the rodeo” Many times have I seen someone tell
the police that they broke into a place, or that they actually stole what the cop was asking
them about, yet the police did nothing, just thanked them and told them to have a nice day.
Oh wait did I also mention how said person threatened to beat the crap out of someone in
front of the police, and they still did nothing. The only person they got mad at was the one
that called them and told them which city ordinance they was breaking, when they trashed
that persons yard.
Rocky C: That’s bs, they arrested him for stealing his stuff back
Teresa T: Good for him. Give them what they deserve for stealing
Roy C: Unfortunately in most areas if you were to report the theft of the items
they’d take the report and file it and then tell you its a civil matter if you locate your propTulsa police arrested a man after
he broke into a house, beat up the
homeowner, and took an item and
jewelry Wednesday morning.
Authorities said Brian Masingale
was tracking an iPad that was stolen
from his parents house. The tracking led him to a friend’s house where
Masingale searched the house for
other stolen items. Masingale said he
found a small bag of jewelry that belonged to his parents.
Police say that’s when Masingale
beat the homeowner with a baseball bat. The man is expected to be okay.
Masingale called police to give them his side of the story.
“Upon further talking with him, he believed what he was doing was right. Rather
than getting the police involved, he was just going to recover the property himself,
“ said TPD Sgt. Darren Bristow.
Police say he confessed to everything. Masingale was arrested for assault with a
deadly weapon and first degree burglary.
FOX 25
THE BEAT IS ON!!
erty. You would have the burden of proof on you and chances are if you took them to court
you would spend more than the stuff is worth. He may serve some time and pay a fine, but
I bet that “friend” won’t steal from his family again.
Sheryl H: Crazy they make no mention if the thief was arrested. I hope they drop
charges, and the bat did not get hurt in the altercation.
Mary S: I like his style!
Allen G: Temporary insanity plea sounds good to me
Kevin G: “He don’t need no stinking badges”. Ha
Jerimy W: Laws are laws, but I’d take that record with pride!
Margaret K: WHERE Is The Outrage ?? What about the real bad guy ? did he
get arrested ???
Marcie L: Not everyone’s first option is to call the police. I’m always amazed
when I see people on the news who say why didn’t you just call the police, ‘because I was
here and so and so was here and they needed to be dealt with.’ The police weren’t going to
track that IPad and then go in retrieve that guys parents items.
Charlene J: Good job. I hope the judge throws this case out. My daughter had
5700 worth of electronics stolen from her and there were witnesses to who did it in broad
daylight that actually told the police who did it, and still no arrest.
Matthew C: Worth it.
Debora L: They should have let him off with community service and fines. I know
from experience that a lot of the time police don’t follow through and get stolen items back.
It’s justice in my opinion and he was taking care of business.
Jeremy B: Good for him. Save time & make sure a good lesson is learned with
swift justice...
Jeff G: Good for him chances are they would have never got his parents belongings
back. I would do same thing in fact I’ve done things similar

Chickasha man JB Thompson Jr., 45,
allegedly tried to break into a woman’s
home by going through her home’s doggie
door. He was arrested June 4 because the
victim was home when he did it, and she
called the police.
According to the police report, a Chickasha officer was dispatched to the 1600
block of S. 15th Street shortly after 7 a.m.
for a burglary in progress. When she arrived, other officers had Thompson in custody.
The victim told her she was at home and
noticed a man walking around her property. The man then went to
her backdoor and put his arm through the doggie door. He started
reaching around in an attempt to find the lock, so he could unlock
the door and enter the residence. She said she threatened to shoot
Thompson before calling the police.
Near the backdoor, officers found a prescription bottle with Thompson’s name on it. Thompson told police he was at the residence to pay
his rent and to ask the victim to store his silver belongings that were
“his most expensive possession.” A cooler containing silver dining
items was found in Thompson’s possession.
The man said the victim told him to go to the backdoor. He said he
talked to her through the doggie door and he fell, breaking it. He said
he pushed the flap in and apologized to the woman, but she threatened to shoot him so he backed off.
The police didn’t buy Thompson’s story – the victim was visibly
shaken up and told officer she felt “violated” due to Thompson’s actions.
Thompson is being charged with burglary in the first degree. His
bond was set at $40,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
July 8, 2015.

A 77-year-old Chickasha man didn’t try to lie about his intentions
when police asked him why he pulled a knife on another man.
Frank Paritee Jr. allegedly told the officer, “Cause I wanted to hurt
him.”
On June 7, a Chickasha officer responded to a call about Paritee
pulling a knife on a man in the 800 block of S. First Street around
12:34 p.m. The victim said he was talking to a friend when Paritee
pulled up in his vehicle and sat there, watching him. Paritee then
jumped out of his car with a knife in his hand.
The victim said Paritee then held the knife over his head and ran
toward him. The victim took off running and Paritee chased him for
a little bit. The victim said he was able to get away from the knifewielding man.
When the officer asked the victim why Paritee would chase him with a knife, the victim said
Paritee thought he was talking behind his back.
According to the affidavit, Paritee had reportedly pulled a gun on the man two days prior to
the incident. While they were speaking, Paritee drove up to the area. Paritee said he and the
victim had “had it out.”
The officer asked Paritee why he pulled a knife on the victim. He replied, “Cause I wanted
to hurt him.” He said he didn’t chase the victim – the victim ran from him.
Paritee directed the officer to his knife in the front seat of his vehicle.
Paritee is being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. His bond was set at $5,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on July 8, 2015.

YOUNG
Chickasha woman Stacy Young, 44, was caught
huffin’ away at some paint inside the Chickasha
Walmart on June 1. She claimed she was just
spraying the paint to see what color she needed.
According to the police report, Chickasha police received a call at approximately 12:56 p.m.
that there was a woman “huffing paint” inside
of the store. When the officer arrived, she found
the suspect, identified as Young, standing near a
register.
Young had black spray paint covering her hands and sleeves, and
she smelled strongly like paint. She kept twitching and was unable to
stand still, and her mouth and jaw also kept moving back and forth.
The officer asked her if she had been in the paint section of the
store. Young said yes. She told the officer she was painting a friend’s
house, and she was just trying to buy some paint.
Because Young appeared to be under the influence of something,
the officer placed Young under arrest for public intoxication.
When the officer asked her what she was doing on the floor of
Walmart, she said she was opening cans and spraying them to see
what color they were.
Employees told the officer they saw Young “huffing” and “getting
high on” paint in the spray paint aisle. She didn’t seem to care that
people were watching her.
When one employee went to see what was going on, he said he
found Young sitting on the floor with her legs crossed, with cans of
spray paint littering the floor around her. The employee also said the
smell of paint was so strong that you could “smell it in the air.”
Young used up three cans of paint that the store could no longer
sell. While she bought other cans of paint, she didn’t try to buy the
three cans she huffed.
Young is being charged with larceny of merchandise from retailer
and public intoxication. Her bond was set at $500, and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 10, 2015.
