Oklahoma City woman Caroline
Rose Halpin, 45, was arrested after
she allegedly broke into a couple’s
home and took $300 worth of steak,
along with some other items.
Halpin was the couple’s landlord!
On October 22, a Stephens County
deputy was dispatched to the 1900
block of West County Line Road
around 11:54 p.m. because someone
broke into a couple’s home while they
were gone. According to the affidavit,
the couple said Halpin had broken
into their residence earlier that day. A
neighbor called them and said the landlord and her boyfriend were
inside the house.
One of the victims said most of the food in the residence was gone,
and the suspects had also stolen some tools, a chainsaw, a weed
eater, jewelry, and some shampoo and conditioner. The other victim told the deputy Halpin doesn’t have a key, but she believed the
woman entered her home with a card. She said one time, the couple
was supposed to be out of town, and Halpin and her boyfriend tried
to enter their residence. She heard the man ask Halpin if she had
“the card.”
Halpin had been arrested earlier that day on unrelated charges.
She admitted to entering the residence, but said she was just there
to do her laundry.
Halpin said she was alone while in the house and she borrowed a
key from a neighbor. She denied stealing anything from the house
and said she left her clothes in the hallway south of the kitchen.
Halpin is being charged with burglary in the second degree after
former conviction of felony. Her bond was set at $25,000, and she is
scheduled to appear in court on December 2, 2015.

A couple of buddies who allegedly instigated a bar fight in
Duncan were arrested after they pulled a knife on a bouncer and
threatened police officers.
Duncan police were dispatched to the bar on Highway 81 shortly after 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found two subjects being
detained by bar staff.
The manager told an officer one of the men, identified as Marlow man Daniel Roy Long, 39, had pulled a knife on a bouncer
when he tried to stop the fight.
The other man was identified as 40-year-old Johnny Thompson
of Bakersfield, California.
According to the affidavit, the trouble-making twosome started
making fun of another patron’s medical condition. Another man
overheard the remarks, and he didn’t like it. He made threats
to Long and Thompson -- all three men were asked to leave the
premises.
Once the men were outside, Long and Thompson kept trying
to start something with the other man. Long pulled out a pocketknife and threatened to stab him. When a bouncer tried to intervene, Long attempted to stab him in the neck.
Thompson lunged at the man, but staff restrained him.
Both men were placed under arrest, but neither one of them
were done with their drunken antics.
Long told the officer if he saw him in public, he would spit in his
face. He also said he had two sons who were old enough to kick
the officer’s ass, and he would make sure they “whooped” the officer’s “bitch ass.”
Thompson was aggressive toward officers and told one of them, “I’m gonna come after
you.”
When an officer told him he had just racked up another charged, he recanted and said he
meant he was going to seek civil action and fight his charges.
Thompson is being charged with threaten to perform act of violence and public intoxication. He was released on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 1,
2015.
Long with being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. He was released on a
$25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December 2, 2015.
Go down fighting

A Comanche man was arrested
October 18 after he allegedly attacked his sister’s boyfriend because he thought the man was
sleeping with his girlfriend.
Apparently David Edward Oster,
31, doesn’t like to keep it all in the
family!
According to the affidavit, a Comanche officer was dispatched to
the 600 block of Ash shortly after 11
a.m. to investigate the assault. The
victim said Oster attacked him in
the front yard of his residence. The
man told the officer he was inside the house when he saw Oster’s
SUV pull up outside. He walked outside to see what Oster was there
for.
Oster was apparently there for one thing only - a butt whoopin’.
He jumped out of his vehicle and charged the victim. The victim said
Oster hit him a few times, then fell on top of him.
Luckily the victim’s girlfriend (or Oster’s sister) pulled up just in
time to see the two men going at it. She stopped the fight by pulling
her brother off of her man. Oster then jumped back into his vehicle
and left the residence.
The victim said Oster was mad at him because Oster thought the
he was sleeping with his girlfriend.
The victim was transported to the hospital, where doctors discovered he had a broken sternum. He also had some scratches on his
face.
Oster is being charged with assault and battery. He was released
on a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on December
8, 2015.

A man told police his friend, Edmond man Ty Austin Rutledge, 21, attacked him with a knife because he was upset at a
lack of dope and women.
On November 12, Chickasha police were dispatched to a gas
station in the 1300 block of Fourth Street shortly after 4 a.m.
due to a knife fight. Officer located the suspects and noticed one
of the men, identified as Rutledge, had a knife sticking out of
his pocket.
According to the affidavit, Rutledge said his friend was “tripping out.” He said the man had shoplifted, and he kept saying
he wasn’t going to get in the car because he didn’t want Rutledge to get in trouble. Rutledge said he tried to grab the man
to put him back in the car, but he took off running.
Rutledge said the two met up earlier that night in Oklahoma
City, and were just hanging out since they hadn’t seen each
other in a long time.
The victim said Rutledge was upset with him because he thought they came to Chickasha
to buy some dope and get with some woman. He said he was scared of Rutledge, so he went
inside the convenience store and told the clerk to tell his friend that he had been detained
for shoplifting.
The victim said he ran out the back door when Rutledge walked in, but Rutledge chase
after him and pulled out a knife. He then swung at the man, slicing his jacket.
When an officer asked Rutledge if there was anything illegal in his car, he said he didn’t
know since his friend had been in there.
The officer asked if he could search the car; Rutledge said no.
After a minute or so, he then told the officer that his buddy had put some scales in the
glovebox and console. He also said his sister was diabetic and had left her test kit and some
syringes in the vehicle.
The officer found the items Rutledge mentioned. The scales tested positive for meth.
The officer also found a metal spoon with residue that tested for meth, some lighters, rolling papers and some pills.
Rutledge is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, possession
of controlled dangerous substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond
was set at $20,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 9, 2015.

time.
According to the police report, a
Chickasha officer was patrolling the
area of Centennial Park on November 10 when he saw a white car flying
down the road shortly after 2 a.m. The
speeding vehicle was traveling east on
Texas Avenue. The officer watched the
car, and it ran straight into the curb when the driver tried to turn
onto Sixth Street. It was time to make a traffic stop.
The driver, later identified as Meeks, pulled into a residence in
the 900 block of S. Sixth and jumped out of the vehicle. He tried to
jump over the fence, but when that didn’t work, he just ran through
the backyard of the house.
The officer yelled at him to stop; Meeks didn’t obey.
The officer followed Meeks through several yards and over several
fences before finally overtaking him on the south side of Centennial
Park. The officer placed the man under arrest and found two sets of
keys and a cellphone in his pocket. The keys belonged to the Mercury he was driving. Police checked the vehicle’s tag, and it came
back as stolen from a local funeral home.
When the owner of the car was contacted, he said someone took
the car from his business and broke into the funeral home. He told
police his Mercury wasn’t the only thing missing -- Meeks had also
taken $25 and another set of keys.
The money was found in Meeks’s front pocket.
Meeks is being charged with possession of stolen vehicle, knowingly concealing stolen property and obstructing officer. His bond
was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 9, 2015.

Chickasha man Dewayne David Eblen, 42,
was arrested after an officer caught him riding
around spotlighting with some meth and Percocet.
A state game warden first noticed Eblen’s vehicle around 10 p.m. on October 30. The man
was traveling eastbound on CR 1500 and there
was a “powerful” light coming out of his car.
The warden watched as the driver stopped at
a field, illuminating it with his headlights for a
few minutes. Eblen then drove away, running
a stop sign.
The warden stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver. He
immediately noticed two guns in the passenger seat -- Eblen told him they
were both loaded.
The warden asked Eblen to step out of his truck. When he did, a handheld spotlight fell out of his lap onto the ground, according to the affidavit.
The warden told Eblen he saw him spotlight a field and fail to stop at a
stop sign.
Eblen also had a warrant for his arrest. The warden placed him in handcuffs.
While conducting an inventory of the man’s vehicle, the warden found a
glass smoking pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine. Eblen admitted to buying and smoking meth earlier that day. He then asked the
warden if he could smoke a cigarette, and told him they were in the cupholder of his truck.
When the warden went to retrieve the man’s smokes, he found six white
pills at the bottom of the package. The pills were identified as Percocet.
Eblen is being charged with possession of controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, headlighting, hunting
from motor vehicle, hunting in closed season and transporting loaded firearm in motor vehicle. His bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on December 9, 2015.
