Sam’s Club upskirt pervert arrested in January

TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa man allegedly violated a woman’s privacy at a local Sam’s Club in June 2020 when he tried to film up her skirt.

He was arrested in January for the crime.

According to reports, Tulsa police officers were dispatched to the store near 71st and Mingo to investigate a suspicious suspect.
Witnesses told police that a man, later identified as Michael Joseph Neal, intentionally dropped an item near a woman who was waiting in line to pay for her bulk items.

Neal then stooped down closed to the woman and held his phone in a way that made it appear as though he was trying to film up her skirt.

After a few seconds of upskirt filming, the pervert picked up the item he dropped and started to walk away.

The victim was completely unaware that Beal had tried to film her. Witnesses told her about the incident.

They also told store management, who found the man and confronted him.

Beal gave a false name to employees and quickly left the store.

Unfortunately for Beal, the store’s surveillance system showed that there were several victims of his perverted antics.

The man was in the store for about an hour, and he targeted several victims during this time.

Officers located a man who matched the description of the upskirt pervert, even though he had changed his shirt.

The man was identified as Beal.

Detectives with the Special Victims Unit served a search warrant at Beal’s home.

They retrieved multiple electronic devices that revealed a disturbing pattern – Beal had several videos that showed him walking up to unsuspecting people, bending down near them, and filming up the victims’ skirts with a cellphone.

Beal was placed under arrest on January 21.

Court records show the man has previously been charged for other sexually motivated crimes.

Beal is being charged with attempted peeping tom with photographic/electronic equipment. His bond was set at $500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 8, 2021.
