TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa officers responded to a burglary report of an adult store near 71st and Lewis.
Tulsa police reported to the scene after midnight on May 6th and spoke with the store manager.
Video surveillance revealed that a male suspect broke into the store by breaking through the glass door.
In the “Tales from the TPD blotter” series on Tulsa Police Department’s Facebook page, they noted that “a bunch of merchandise” was stolen.
The suspect grabbed ahold of the adult store merchandise of choice and fled the scene.
After investigating further, authorities found Kelvin Simpson behind a shopping center situated near the adult store.
Police say Simpson’s arms had cuts on them likely due to the broken glass.
The suspect was arrested at 1:53 a.m. and charged with 2nd Degree Burglary. According to police, Simpson has a previous felony conviction.
Simpson’s bond is set to $6,000.00, and his court hearing is scheduled for May 13th.
