TULSA COUNTY, Okla. — On Sunday, February 12th, at 2:20 am, a Tulsa County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed a swerving vehicle on the 1500 block of South Sheridan.
The Deputy stopped 33-year-old Jessica Shaw, who showed signs of intoxication. She failed the field sobriety test and was arrested for aggravated DUI.
While waiting for a tow truck to pick up Shaw’s vehicle, Shaw told the Deputy that she had left her two children home alone while she was out drinking.
After Deputies went to Shaw’s apartment, they discovered that her children, ages 4 and 9, were, in fact, alone. (Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office) The children were taken into custody by DHS.
Shaw was jailed for aggravated DUI, driving without a license and two counts of child neglect.
