TULSA, Okla. — An Amazon employee admitted to stealing around $20,000 in phones from his job.
On March 13th, 2023, officers responded to a report of embezzlement from the Amazon distribution facility near 43rd St. N. and 125th E. Ave.
Photo and video evidence of an employee named Ryan Riehl was provided to officers by management. The video showed that during the past month Riehl had stolen between $15,000 and $20,000 in value of Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones from shipment pods.
When questioned, Riehl admitted to the crime and said he stole the phones and was reselling them to cell phone stores in the area because he was, “Just so damn broke.”
Riehl was arrested for Embezzlement with a bond set for $2,000. His pretrial is scheduled for March 20th.
