HEATING THINGS UP
Stroud man Bryan Scott Wallace, 52, allegedly set a truck on fire on September 24.
He told deputies he thought someone might
be in the vehicle when he lit it up.
According to the affidavit, Pottawatomie
County deputies were dispatched to 35200
Clearpond Road around 10:50 p.m. to investigate a vehicle fire. The vehicle fire was near
a repair shop and was located approximately
60 feet from other vehicles.
A deputy noticed a red gas can under the
vehicle.
Wallace was standing about 75 feet from
the vehicle watching the fire. He told deputies
that he intentionally set the vehicle on fire because it wasn’t working properly. He said he poured gasoline on the truck and
lit it up. He also told deputies that he believed someone was in the vehicle that
had been messing with it.
Thankfully, deputies didn’t find anyone in the truck.
When they told Wallace there wasn’t anyone in there, he said the body must
be in one of two other vehicles at the scene. Deputies didn’t find a body in
either one of those vehicles either.
While investigating the incident, the deputies were advised that the truck
didn’t even belong to Wallace. He was in the process of making payments to
the truck’s owner until he paid it off - he would then own the vehicle.
Wallace is being charged with arson in the third degree. His bond was set
at $7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 29, 2022.

A Florida man was arrested after allegedly storming
the field and attacking a 9-year-old boy during football
practice.
Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David
Alan Taylor, 41, last month in Pensacola.
Deputies said that Taylor’s son was taking part in
one-on-one tackling practice with another player, when
Taylor’s son was overpowered and started crying.
That’s when witnesses said Taylor ran out on the field,
put a helmet on his head, got into a football stance and
then charged the victim, intentionally hitting the boy in
the chest with the helmet.
Deputies said Taylor then grabbed the victim by the arms and pushed
him to the ground.
Witnesses said the boy was crying, but was not seriously hurt and did
not require medical attention.
Deputies said Taylor then yelled, cursed and approached the coaching
staff in an aggressive manner before he was finally stopped.
Taylor was arrested and booked into the Escambia County jail. He was
charged with aggravated child abuse and disorderly conduct, and has
since bonded out of jail.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.

TWO ARRESTED IN ATTEMPTED MURDER CASE
On October 20, at approximately 12:14 pm, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office 911 Emergency Communications Center received a phone call stating a subject in the
City of Mannsville had been murdered. A short time later
Deputies arrived in the area and met with the reporting caller. Deputies received information of who was supposedly
murdered and also the identity of the suspect, which committed the crime.
Upon obtaining this information Deputies went to a residence on Easy Street in Mannsville where the crime supposedly happened.
Sergeant Alyson Orr-Dodd, Deputy Amanda Smith, Sergeant Teddy Lenard and Sheriff Gary Dodd attempted to
make contact with anyone at the residence but received
no answer. Due to the allegations and a potential murder at
the residence, deputies made entry into the home.
Upon making entry, deputies located a male subject
covered in blood lying in the living room floor, which had
been stabbed multiple times. The victim had lost a massive
amount of blood, was going into shock, but was luckily still
alive. Also located in the living room was the victim’s infant
son, which was found unharmed and quickly secured by
deputies.
Deputies administered life saving medical aid to the victim until Johnston County EMS arrived on scene. JCEMS
worked quickly in treating the victim and transferring him
to an Air Evac medical helicopter, which was landed near
the scene and flew the victim to a higher level of care. Department of Human Services arrived and the child was released to family members in a safe environment.
Deputies processed the crime scene, collected evidence, photographing the scene, collected measurements
and other items. Once the crime scene had been processed, deputies began canvassing the area, following up
on leads, and attempted to locate a male and female suspect, which was last seen on foot
in the Mannsville area.
Although no direct threat existed to the Mannsville School, the school was put on lockdown as a precaution.
A short time later, deputies located the two suspects in a small park in Mannsville where
they were taken into custody without incident.
Deputies processed the two suspects and collected evidence from them. Both suspects,
Nickolas Clark and Ali Roper, were transported to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office and
Jail.
The investigation lasted well into the night, which lead deputies to the weapon that was
used in the attempted murder, which the suspects attempted to hide.
The motive of the stabbing is still under investigation. Based upon preliminary investigation, both the male and female suspects are believed to have been under the influence of
multiple illegal narcotics, to include methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms.
Nickolas Clark was booked into the Johnston County jail on the following charges:
1. Attempted Murder in the first degree
2. Destruction of evidence
3. Impedes or interferes with Emergency telephone call
Ali Roper was booked into the Johnston County Jail on the following charges:
1. Accessory to attempted first degree murder after the fact
2. Harboring a fugitive

An Oklahoma City woman officials allege
is a key member of a prison contraband ring
was arrested on October 18 following an
18-month investigation.
Reports state Alicia Anderson, 32, was involved in a statewide, warehouse-scale contraband ring. Anderson allegedly facilitated
multiple contraband drops across the state
of Oklahoma using drones. She would drive
a person near prisons, and they would use
drones to drop contraband packages into
areas where inmates could retrieve the packages.
Anderson also reportedly piloted drones
and threw contraband over prison fences.
During the investigation, officials discovered a storage unit in Oklahoma
City that housed the contraband warehouse operation. Investigators found
marijuana, methamphetamine, tobacco, drones, cell phones, and other
items they believed were going to be smuggled into prisons. They also found
$8,500 in counterfeit currency. The fake money was turned over to the U.S.
Secret Service.
Other evidence found at the location resulted in Anderson being arrested.
Anderson is being charged with three counts of bringing contraband into a
jail/penal institution and conspiracy. She is scheduled to appear in court on
November 1, 2022. Bond information was unavailable at the time of publication.

A 31-year-old Sasakwa man was arrested after investigators conducted a
search warrant at a Seminole County marijuana grow on September 29.
According to the police report, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agents conducted the search warrant at the Silver Photon LLC Medical Marijuana Grow
in Sasakwa. While at the location, agents found $4,349 worth of marijuana
plants. The plants were housed in hoop houses and two separate indoor
grow facilities.
Agents also found several large trash bags weighing approximately 221
pounds that contained processed marijuana. This amount exceeded the
threshold of 25 pounds for trafficking marijuana.
A man at the residence, Dong Liang Yang, was detained while agents executed the search warrant. Agents found $30,730 in cash in the man’s room.
He told police he owned 25% of the marijuana grow. A woman he said he
didn’t know owned the other 75%. He said a law firm arranged for the woman
to be the 75% owner to meet the 2-year Oklahoma residency requirement.
Yang added that the woman had never been to the grow site and was not
involved in the day-to-day operations of the marijuana grow. He also told
agents that he had about $15,000-$20,000 in U.S. currency he had borrowed and was using to keep the marijuana grow operational.
Yang is being charged with cultivation of controlled substances, trafficking
in illegal drugs, and acquiring proceeds from drug activity. His bond was set
at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 1, 2022.

ACTIVITY WITHIN THE STATE’S MEDICAL MARIJUANA PROGRAM
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) is investigating and dismantling criminal organizations operating within the state’s medical marijuana program. Over the past two weeks,
OBN has served Search Warrants at nearly a dozen marijuana farms across Oklahoma.
Agency Spokesman Mark Woodward says this is another phase in OBN’s on-going focus to
aggressively target criminals hiding within the state’s medical marijuana program.
“For over two years, OBN has identified numerous individuals and organizations that have
moved to Oklahoma from out-of-state and used fraudulent business structures and so-called
‘ghost owners’ to obtain their Oklahoma Medical Marijuana licenses. These criminals try to
blend into our state’s Medical Marijuana program while trafficking marijuana onto the illicit
market around the United States, laundering money and moving millions of dollars in illicit
drug proceeds overseas,” said Mark Woodward, OBN Spokesman.
Between September 27 and October 7, OBN executed Search Warrants at 10 marijuana
cultivation businesses and one residential location in Canadian, Cleveland, Garvin, Kay, Okfuskee, Payne, Pontotoc and Seminole counties. A total of 79,157 illegally cultivated plants
were seized, along with 3,139 pounds of processed marijuana and 16 firearms. So far, 20
people have been arrested with more arrests expected as these investigations continue.
Woodward says the targets of these investigations face a variety of charges including Drug
Trafficking, Aggravated Manufacturing, Unlawful Cultivation, and Acquiring Proceeds from
Drug Activity.
“As these investigations continue across Oklahoma, we plan to focus on criminal growers
and business owners, as well as the entities that helped facilitate the fraudulent documentation allowing these criminal organizations to get an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana license,”
Woodward added.
OBN Director Donnie Anderson says more of these large-scale law enforcement operations are planned as his agency continues to investigate criminal cultivators around the state.
“We are making it very clear that Oklahoma is not a safe harbor for criminals who think
they can hide behind a Medical Marijuana license. My agency is committed to aggressively
targeting and dismantling these marijuana trafficking organizations that are attempting to gain
a foothold in our state,” Anderson said.
OBN was assisted by numerous Sheriff’s Departments, Police Departments, Drug Task
Force Officers, County Commissioners, and county workers. Anderson says he is particularly
grateful to the Oklahoma National Guard which provided personnel and heavy equipment to
assist with the eradication and disposal of plants during these operations.
“The Oklahoma National Guard’s hard work and support was crucial to the success of
this operation. Their equipment and personnel save us time and effort that enables OBN
to continue investigations that will have a positive impact on Oklahoma,” Anderson added.

Gotta go to Braum’s...
On October 7, around 9:00 p.m., officers were
called out to an armed robbery at the Valero gas
station near 69th and S. Sheridan in Tulsa.
The caller said he was cleaning the store and
preparing to close when a man, later identified
as Devion Nelson, walked in the store, pulled out
a gun, grabbed the victim, and then demanded
money.
The caller said he fought with Nelson and tried
to stop him from going behind the counter, but
Nelson pushed him out of the way. The victim said
Nelson took cash out the drawer then hit him in
the face when he could not get to the safe before leaving.
Officers quickly converged on the area and began searching for the suspect. Officers located Nelson at a Braum’s down the street and he was
taken into custody.
When Officers questioned Nelson about the robbery, he replied something to the effect of, “I did that dumb sh*t”.
Devion Nelson was arrested for Armed Robbery.
