PRISON SEX
A 21-year-old Arkansas woman who previously
worked as a jailer at the McCurtain County Jail, is
facing sexual battery charges after she allegedly
had sex with an inmate.
Reports state authorities at the jail discovered
outgoing mail between an inmate and a county jailer using a fake name on April
28. The jailer was identified as Hannah Elizabeth Forte.
Although she used a fake name, the outgoing mail was sent to Forte’s personal cell number and email address.
Authorities started observing Forte’s behavior around inmates. One investigator saw Forte going to a stairwell with an inmate 29 times between February 7
and April 5.
Forte also used a jail computer to search “detention officers having relationships with inmates.
Other evidence investigators found that alluded to the forbidden jailhouse romance include Forte following the inmate’s YouTube account and putting hundreds of dollars on the inmate’s account, as well as the accounts of several other
inmates.
After Forte stopped working at the jail, she video chatted with the inmate.
Investigators spoke to the inmate, but he refused to say anything, he did,
however, send Forte a message about the investigation. He told her, “They’re
investigating me again, baby, not mama tho.”
Forte and the inmate spoke on the phone about the investigation.
Forte told the inmate she was divorcing her husband, who also previously
worked at the jail as a jailer.
Forte said that her soon-to-be ex wouldn’t say anything about the relationship.
During the investigation, investigators learned Forte sent the inmate photos of
herself with a fresh tattoo of the inmate’s name.
Forte is being charged with sexual battery. Her bond was set at $25,000, and
she is scheduled to appear in court on August 10, 2023.

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty MCCURTAIN COUNTY 5 | AUGUST 2023
AROUND THE STATE
A young woman with a violent past is facing several felony charges in Grady County after she allegedly
caused a lot of damage in her wake trying to escape
law enforcement.
Rochelle May High, 21, of Rush Springs, formerly of
McAlester, was charged July 5 with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on police officer, and attempting to escape from arrest or detention, in
Grady County District Court.
A press release by Graddy County Sheriff Gary Boggess state that on July 1, at around
2:15 p.m., deputies were called to Rush Springs to help assist with a female prisoner,
later identified as High, who had slipped out of her cuffs and attempted to steal a patrol
unit. In the process, she ran over a Rush Springs police officer. She then smashed into
her own car with the patrol unit and wrecked the patrol car.
Seems this has been a bad year for High. She is facing multiple felonies in Pittsburg
County for assault and battery on a police officer, endangering others while eluding police
officer, larceny of an automobile, aircraft, or other motor vehicle, DUI, obstructing officer,
and driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked. Those charges were filed April 13
of this year.
On April 25, 2023, she was charged again in Pittsburg County with burglary first degree, malicious injury to property over $1000, and domestic assault and battery.
A protective order was also issued
against her in Pittsburg County on May
17.
“OHP worked the accident and the
Grady County Sheriff’s Office deputies
worked the criminal part of the incident.
The Rush Springs Officer is okay,” said
Sheriff Boggess.
High was transported to the Grad
County Detention Center and booked into
jail. Bond was set at $125,000.

BEARING THE
CONSEQUENCES
An Atoka Resident has been sentenced to nearly 34 years in federal prison for killing four Durant
teens in a 2020 motor vehicle collision.
Bradley Shawn Pittman, 45, of Atoka, was
sentenced to 405 months in prison each for four
counts of Second-Degree Murder in Indian Country. The sentences will be
served concurrently.
The charges arose from investigations by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Durant Police Department, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Texas Highway
Patrol, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
On December 1, 2020, Pittman pleaded guilty to four counts of Murder in
Indian Country – Second Degree. At the plea hearing, Pittman admitted that
he was driving a pickup at speeds of over 70 miles per hour on Main Street in
Durant when he collided into the rear of another vehicle that was stopped at a
traffic light just before midnight on May 24, 2020. Four Durant teens in the other
vehicle were killed in the collision. At the time of the collision, Pittman registered
a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit, was driving on a suspended or
revoked driver’s license, and had previously been convicted of driving under the
influence on three separate occasions.
The crimes occurred in Bryan County, within the boundaries of the Choctaw
Nation Reservation and within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
“Every parent’s worst fear is having your child taken from you in the blink of an
eye. Four teenagers were stolen from their families with one reckless decision
that has had a devastating and rippling impact on the Durant community,” said
FBI Oklahoma City Special Agent in Charge Edward J. Gray. “Let this sentence
serve as a reminder of the grave and irrevocable consequences of driving under
the influence, so that no other family will have to endure such tremendous loss.”
“No sentence can heal the loss to these families and this community,” said
U.S. Attorney Christopher J. Wilson. “The devastation brought about by one
individual’s reckless actions underscores our determination to hold those accountable who engage in criminally reckless actions within the Eastern District
of Oklahoma.” JAMIE

ROBBING A STORE WHILE PUSHING A MAN
IN A WHEELCHAIR -- Suspect arrested for
armed robbery
On July 6, around 9:40 a.m., Officers responded to a call of Armed Robbery at Dollar General
near 67th and Peoria.
The store reported that a man, later identified as Alejandro Wilson, came
into the store pushing a man in a wheelchair. Wilson gathered up numerous
items then tried to leave without paying for them.
When the manager confronted Wilson, he began swinging a baseball bat
at her and threatening to kill her. Wilson then left with the stolen merchandise
while still pushing the individual in the wheelchair.
Officers quickly responded, and a Lieutenant spotted Wilson pushing a
man in the wheelchair about a block away from the store. Wilson was carrying about a dozen stolen items from the store.
Alejandro Wilson was arrested for Armed Robbery and Resisting Arrest.
Upon further investigation, Officers determined the man in the wheelchair
was not actively involved in the robbery. He was not arrested.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

GONNA DO TIME FOR
A CRIME
A Bryan County man pleaded guilty last
month to a firearms charge he committed earlier this year.
Bobby William Wells, Jr., 33, of Durant, entered a guilty plea in federal court to one count
of Felon in Possession of Ammunition, punishable by up to 15 years in prison
and a fine of up to $250,000.
During the plea hearing, Wells admitted to having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, and
to possessing ammunition despite knowing he was prohibited from doing so.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Durant Police Department,
Southeastern Oklahoma State University Police Department, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Honorable Jason A. Robertson, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United
States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation
