What do you get when you combine amphetamines, methamphetamine, marijuana and alcohol, and decided to jump in the driver’s seat of a
vehicle? If you’re 20-year-old Wyatt Lee Fishinghawk, it’s a second-degree murder charge.
Charges were filed against the man on January
31 for the November death of a 60-year-old man.
According to reports, Fishinghawk was driving
when he turned left onto U.S. Highway 62 from
Boone Street on October 31. He allegedly hit the
victim with his vehicle while the man was walking
across the bypass from Box Street.
Reports state Fishinghawk was under the influence of multiple drugs and alcohol at the time of
the incident. The victim later died from his injuries on November 7.
The list of injuries he suffered included a head laceration, a left scapula
fracture, multiple rib fractures, fractures to the tibia and fibula, and blunt
force trauma to the head, neck and trunk.
Fishinghawk is being charged with second-degree murder and driving
a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was released on a
$25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on February 12, 2019.

search warrant leads to stash of stolen guns
A Coweta man is facing several felony charges
after deputies with search warrants discovered a
plethora of stolen guns and drugs in his residence
and mini storage unit.
Kenneth Allen Peterman, 22, was charged January 29 with possession of a sawed-off shotgun,
possession of firearms after former felony conviction, assault and battery upon a police officer,
knowingly concealing stolen property, and resisting an officer, in Wagoner County District Court.
According to Wagoner County PIO Sergeant
Jeff Halfacre, on January 19, at approximately
2:00 pm, Wagoner County Deputies were in the
12600 block of 281st East Avenue attempting to serve a warrant on Kenneth Allen Peterman at his residence. Deputies knocked on the door and
heard a male and female voice inside of the camper but were ignored by
the occupants. The female came to the door but refused to open it. Deputies continuously asked her to open the door, but she continued to refuse.
She was warned numerous times that Deputies would breach the door if
she refused to exit. She continued to refuse orders to exit the residence so
deputies began breaching the door. The female then opened the door and
exited the trailer.
Deputies entered the trailer and began searching for Peterman. Upon
opening a closet door, they found Peterman partially concealed within, attempting to hide to evade arrest. When deputies pulled Peterman from
the closet and began taking him into custody, he actively and physically
resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, Peterman was taken into custody
without further incident.
Upon taking Peterman into custody, Wagoner County deputies executed
a search warrant for his residence. A sawed-off shotgun, a clear plastic
baggie containing a crystal-like substance, $491 in US currency, and a
green and black tactical fighting knife were recovered. Three surveillance
cameras, which were ran into the residence from the outside, were viewing different areas and avenues of approach to watch for law enforcement.
Next to the residence, there was a black Dodge truck with a paper tag.
Inside the truck, deputies located a black bag containing a Colt. 32-20
revolver that was confirmed stolen from Detroit in 1979. Also located in the
black bag was 9mm ammunition and an official State of Oklahoma Notary
Stamp.
Wagoner County Deputies also executed a search warrant at the Tiger
Mini Storage. Deputies had obtained a search warrant for unit number 471
that belonged to Peterman. Upon completion of the search warrant at Tiger
Mini Storage, four shotguns, three rifles, eleven handguns, ammunition,
surveillance equipment, and a methamphetamine pipe were recovered.
Three of the firearms stored in unit #471 were verified stolen.
Peterman was transported to the Wagoner County Detention Center. His
bond was set at $100,000 and he is scheduled to appear next in court on
February 26 at 9:00 am.

AROUND THE NATION
A 21-year-old woman who was sought by
authorities in Las Vegas after allegedly skipping out on a $35 manicure and using a stolen car to run over and kill a manicurist has
been arrested in Arizona.
Krystal Whipple was taken into custody by
a team of Phoenix-area fugitive hunters involving local police, county investigators and
FBI agents, Las Vegas police said. The arrest
occurred in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
Las Vegas police Officer Jacinto Rivera
said he did not immediately have details of
the arrest. He said prosecutors will seek her
extradition from Arizona to Las Vegas where
Whipple was sought in a warrant issued Jan.
4 on murder and robbery charges in the killing of Ngoc Q. Nguyen, 51, of Garden Grove,
California.
The case sparked intense national interest after police released an internet
plea for help identifying Whipple that showed parking lot security video of a
woman leaving the nail salon Dec. 29. Homicide Lt. Ray Spencer said Whipple tried to pay for her manicure with a fraudulent credit card before telling
Nguyen that she was going to her car to get cash, then drove away.
Nguyen went to the front of the car and a man who Spencer identified as
Nguyen’s husband was seen in the security footage holding onto the vehicle
from behind as the car accelerates out of a parking lot.
Police say the car was a rental that had been stolen. It was later found
abandoned at an apartment complex.
Whipple has a criminal record in Las Vegas including a conviction in 2017
for attempted possession of a stolen vehicle. Clark County District Court records said she was sentenced to four months in jail for violating probation in
that case.
An attorney who represented Whipple at that time said he doesn’t represent her now.

Registered Sex Offenders for The Area
The sex offenders page is not a complete listing of all offenders in these counties; we will be
publishing more in each month’s issue.
Tips for Parents:
• Stress to them that they can always talk to you
if they have been hurt or scared (regardless of the
circumstances surrounding the incident).
• Reassure teens that regardless of their own
behavior, they are never to blame for sexual assault.
For example, colleges must reassure victims
that there will be an amnesty policy regarding
disciplinary action for illegal use of alcohol or drugs
when a sexual assault has occurred, or victims
may not report out of fear of the consequences to
themselves.

Muldrow Man Sentenced To 120 Months, $8,500
Restitution For Possession Of Material Involving
Sexual Exploitation Of Minors
A Muldro man will be spending the next 10
years in a federal prison after he was convicted of possessing and distributing child porn.
Ryan Edward Offineer, 41, of Muldrow, was
sentenced to 120 months imprisonment, 15
years supervised release, and ordered to pay
restitution in the amount of $8,500 for Possession Of Certain Material Involving The
Sexual Exploitation Of Minors.
The charges arose from an investigation by
the Muldrow Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
The Indictment alleged that beginning in
or about June 2013, to on or about March
7, 2018, Offineer knowingly possessed, attempted to possess and accessed with intent to view, matters which contained visual depictions involving the use of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, and had been transported in interstate commerce by computer.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester said, “People who possess child
pornography should never feel comfortable that their despicable acts will go
undetected. Across the country there are law enforcement agencies working
diligently to detect, investigate and prosecute those who exploit children. This
defendant’s sentence is a result of that work.”
Offineer will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated
federal facility at which the non-paroleable sentence will be served.

As a female shopper exited a convenience store, a man grabbed her
purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately and the woman was
able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher, and police apprehended him within minutes. They put him in the cruiser and drove
back to the store. The thief was then taken out of the car and told to
stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied, “Yes Officer, that’s her.
That’s the lady I stole the purse from.”
In Bent Forks, Ill., kidnapers of ice-cube magnate Worth Bohnke sent a
photograph of their captive to Bohnke’s family. Bohnke was seen holding
up a newspaper. It was not that day’s edition and, in fact, bore a prominent headline relating to Nixon’s trip to China. This was pointed out to
the kidnapers in a subsequent phone call. They responded by sending a
new photograph showing an up-to-date newspaper. Bohnke, however,
did not appear in the picture. When this, too, was refused, the kidnapers became peevish and insisted that a photograph be sent to them
showing all the people over at Bohnke’s house holding different issues of
Success Magazine. They provided a mailing address and were immediately apprehended. They later admitted to FBI agents they did not understand the principle involved in the photograph/newspaper concept. “We
thought it was just some kind of tradition,” said one.
After being arrested for stealing a car, the judge asked the man, “how
do you plead?” Instead of saying guilty or not guilty the man said: “Before
we go any further, judge, let me explain why I stole the car.” The judge
ruled in record time.
When two service station attendants refused to hand over the cash
to an intoxicated robber, the man threatened to call the police. They still
refused, so the robber called the police and was arrested.
Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just
couldn’t control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each
man in the lineup to repeat the words, “Give me all your money or I’ll
shoot,” the man shouted, “That’s not what I said!”
In a small town of 1700, a student attempted to rob the local convenience store wearing his letterman’s jacket. He did not realize that he was
the only male named Dana in the whole town.
A company called “Guns For Hire” stages gunfights for Western movies, etc. One day, they received a call from a 47-year-old woman, who
wanted to have her husband killed. She got 4-1/2 years in jail.
Accused of selling drugs, Howard Jones’s attorney sought to lower
his client’s bail from $150,000 insisting that Jones would not think about
fleeing. At that very instant, Jones sprinted out of the front door of the
courtroom. He was caught fifty minutes later and his bail was raised to
$500,000.

Two Muskogee men are facing narcotics
charges after the Muskogee Police Department Special Investigations Unit received several tips about drug activity at a residence on
South 30th Street.
Cornelious Jones, 29, was charged January 23 with unlawful possession of controlled
drug with intent to distribute, seven counts of
possession of firearm after former felony conviction, misdemeanor tampering with security
camera or system, and misdemeanor destroying evidence, in Muskogee County District
Court.
Bradley Dunehew, 41, was charged the same
day with misdemeanor possession of CDS.
According to the Muskogee Police Department, on Janurary 21, Investigators with the
Muskogee Police Department Special Investigations Unit (SIU), along with patrol officers,
served a search warrant at 729 S. 30th and
recovered several firearms and drugs from the
residence.
SIU had received numerous anonymous tips
on this residence for the sale of narcotics and
firearms inside of the residence. The investigation lasted about two weeks before they were
able to gather enough information to secure a
search warrant for the residence.
SIU, along with a patrol officer and OHP, conducted a traffic stop on
the alleged suspect prior to serving the search warrant on the house to
minimize the risk to the community, officers, and the suspects. Once the
suspects were in custody, officers served the warrant at the residence and
recovered several guns, along with what is believed to be Methamphetamine.
Jones and Dunehew were both arrested in connection with this investigation.
Jones’ bond was set at $75,000 and he was ordered back to court
March 27 for his preliminary hearing.
Bond amount for Dunehew was set at $1500 and he was ordered back
to court for a deposition docket on March 20.
