1987 PAOLI COLD CASE
VICTIM IDENTIFIED
On June 24, 1987, the Garvin County Sheriff’s
Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation to investigate human remains recovered near Paoli.
The approximate location of this discovery was
just southwest of the Paoli exit, off Interstate-35.
When OSBI special agents arrived on scene, they
began their comprehensive investigation and
transported the remains to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for positive
identification.
Over the years, the Medical Examiner’s Office and the OSBI continued working
to identify these remains. With the acquisition of advanced resources and tools,
OSBI criminalists used Investigative Genetic Genealogy to assist in the identification process. These resources were then provided to the Medical Examiner’s
Office, where they positively identified the remains as 19-year-old Molly Monette
Hogan. Her cause and manner of death is being determined and this is still an
ongoing investigation at this time.
If you knew Hogan or have any additional information regarding this case,
please contact the OSBI at [email protected] or 1-800-522-8017.

HOODWINKED
A Thackerville man is facing felony charges after
a deputy discovered a sawed-off shot gun hidden
under the hood of the man’s vehicle.
Leonard Adrain Clifton, Jr., 23, was charged October 22 with possession of firearm after youthful
offender and possession of sawed-off shotgun, in
Love County District Court.
According to a press release by Sheriff Cumberledge, a Love County deputy conducted traffic stop after it was reported to
the sheriff’s office to be the suspect vehicle in an abduction. After questioning
her, the woman inside the vehicle told deputies she was in the vehicle under her
own will.
Clifton had an active warrant out for his arrest in Marshall County for two
counts of threatening to perform acts of violence. Deputies searched his vehicle
and found a sawed-off shotgun under the hood. Not only did they find the shotgun, but they also found Clifton to be a convicted felon.
Clifton was taken into custody and transported to the Love County jail. His
bond is set for $20,000 and his preliminary hearing conference status is scheduled for December 18 at 2:00 p.m.

THE LAST STRAW
Arrests are pending following an OBN raid on
a marijuana grow operation near Wilson in Carter
County.
According to Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics
(OBN), the OBN’s Marijuana Enforcement Team
(MET) on October 21 served a Search Warrant
at a marijuana growing operation at 1322 Woodland Road, Wilson, for cultivating marijuana with
an OBN Registration obtained by fraud using a ‘straw ownership’ scheme. A
total of 21,112 marijuana plants and 593 pounds of processed marijuana were
seized.
Arrests are pending as this investigation moves forward.
Assisting on Monday’s operation were Agents and Officers from the Carter
County Sheriff’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority, and the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office. Anyone
wishing to anonymously report criminal drug activity can do so by sending OBN
a Facebook DM or calling the OBN office at (405) 521-2885 or (800) 522-8031.

AROUND THE STATE
Gotta give kudos to a Jennings man who was
so determined to get to his court date on time in
Pawnee that he “borrowed” a LifeNet truck to get
there. But, alas, it was all for nothing.
Kody Ray Adams, 28, was charged September
25 with larceny of a motor vehicle, in Payne County District Court.
According to OHP, Adams was at a gas station
in Stillwater on September 24 asking people for a ride to Pawnee County for his
court date. When he couldn’t find a ride, he decided to hop in an unoccupied
LifeNet ambulance supervisor vehicle that had been left running.
OHP Ryan Trooper Long caught Adams at the courthouse walking in after
Adams had ditched the vehicle. Trooper Long arrested him after he admitted to
“borrowing” the vehicle, took him up to his court date, and then took him right
back to Payne County.
And guess what the court date was for??? Possession of a stolen vehicle.
Adams’ next court date was set for October 1, which he missed because
he was still in Payne County jail, and bond for the Pawnee County charge was
revoked.

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A Miami Beach Corvette owner faced an unusual situation when he discovered an
intruder trapped inside his car and asked him for help
to get out.
“My brother, this is not your car, this is my car,” Julio
Solano, the owner of the car told 33-year-old Ravesh
Rabindranauth.
“Can I get out?” Rabindranauth was heard asking
Solano while being recorded on the victim’s cellphone.
“No, you can’t get out. We’re calling the cops,” Solano replied.
Solano told a local news station that he was stunned when he returned to his car after
breakfast and found Rabindranauth sitting inside, pleading for help.
The incident unfolded at a parking garage on Washington Avenue and 16th Street in
Miami Beach.
Miami Beach police arrived on the scene and arrested Rabindranauth, who now faces
burglary charges.
Julio Solano believes that while Rabindranauth managed to break into the vehicle, he
was unable to start it or escape due to the car’s security system.
“The car’s electrical components don’t function without the keys, and fortunately, he
didn’t know about the manual door release under the seat,” said Solano.
Investigators said Solano had notified the owner of Premiere Auto Miami 1, an exotic
car rental company that stores its vehicles in the garage.
Authorities said Rabindranauth was read his Miranda rights and agreed to speak with
the officers. A routine records check revealed no local criminal history or outstanding
warrants.
Jail records show he is facing one count of burglary of an unoccupied conveyance.
He was taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where his bond was
set at $2,500.

JEEPERS CREEPERS
Purcell police officers caught a burglar in the
act after they checked out a suspicious vehicle
on October 2.
According to reports, officers saw a suspicious
vehicle parked on North Green Avenue. Since the
hood of the vehicle was warm to the touch, officers determined that it had recently been driven.
Looking inside the car, they saw some hand
tools, copper wire, several flashlights and binoculars, and tubing.
They also heard some dogs barking nearby and noticed that some motion
activated flood lights were on, which led them to believe someone was creeping
around the area.
Officers began looking for the culprit. On West Monroe street, they found a
Tahoe that someone had gone through. They also noticed that someone had
rummaged through a garden shed.
A short time later, a man returned to the suspicious vehicle.
The man, identified as Lindsay man Jacob Lee Crites, 38, was placed under
arrest.
Crites is being charged with burglary in the second degree, three counts of
burglary in the third degree, knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property,
possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and unlawful possession of
drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 27, 2024.
