WEAVING A DARK WEB
Additional charges were filed against a former Stillwater dental assistant accused of sexually assaulting
unconscious patients recovering from dental surgery.
Cody Allen Stolfa, 35, was charged originally back in
July of this year with one count of Forcible Oral Sodomy,
but is now facing a multitude of additional charges filed
on November 22, after more victims were discovered.
A press release by the Stillwater Police Department
(SPD) stated that SPD has led an active criminal investigation regarding the suspect, Stolfa, who is currently
detained in Payne County Jail on the charge of forcible
sodomy for alleged sexual assault of an unconscious victim who was recovering from
dental surgery.
In November, SPD presented 15 new victims and investigation findings to the Payne
County District Attorney’s Office.
In June 2024, local Federal Bureau of Investigation agents presented SPD detectives
with a video recording from 2021 that was recently discovered on the dark web. Since
then, detectives have obtained several videos and photographs that revealed multiple
sexual offenses. The alleged sexual assaults in this investigation occurred June to September 2021, when Stolfa was an employee with Central Oklahoma Oral & Maxillofacial
Surgery Associates, 812 S. Pine in Stillwater. All victims were positively identified and
notified.
Currently, total charges presented by SPD to the Payne County District Attorney’s Office:
10 counts of Sexual Battery; five counts of Forcible Sodomy; six counts of Child Exploitation; four counts of Clandestine Recording; two counts of Sodomy- Victim Under
16; and one count of Lewd Acts to Child.
Stolfa was originally arrested on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, by SPD detectives at his
Stillwater residence and remains detained.

DECEMBER IS NATIONAL IMPAIRED
DRIVING PREVENTION MONTH
Two of the most celebrated dates in December –
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve – are also among
the most dangerous. In 2018, drunk driving crashes
claimed 108 lives in those two days alone, accounting
for nearly half of total traffic deaths.
That is why Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD)
is teaming up with law enforcement agencies across
the country throughout the month of December, which
has been recognized as National Impaired Driving Prevention Month for the 39th consecutive year.
During December 2018, 839 people died in alcohol-related crashes, according to the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While drunk driving deaths typically represent around a third of all traffic fatalities, that increased to nearly 50 percent on Dec. 24
and Dec. 31.
On Dec. 25, 2018, 35 people died in drunk driving crashes.
This is staggering.
The pain caused by one person’s choice to drive impaired is often permanent. Every
single death left a permanent empty seat at the table and turned a time of celebration
into tragedy.
And every single death was 100 percent preventable.
We’re asking everyone to take personal responsibility this holiday season by making
a plan for a safe ride home before your celebrations begin. Designate a non-drinking,
unimpaired driver. Take a taxi, a bus, or a train. Use a rideshare app like Uber. If you’re a
host, provide an alternative to your guests, such as festive, non-alcoholic drinks offered
by our partner Mocktail Beverages.
You can also show your commitment to drive sober by displaying one of our Tie One
On for Safety red ribbons or magnetic decals on your vehicle, which are available at our
local MADD offices around the country.
Drunk driving crashes increase throughout the month of December as more people
travel and attend events where alcohol is served. That is why every U.S. President since
Ronald Reagan has proclaimed December National Impaired Driving Prevention Month.
President Donald Trump continued in that tradition this month, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to prevent tragedies by making the decision to drive sober.
The proclamation also remembers victims of impaired driving, offers prayers for grieving families impacted by these tragedies and honors law enforcement who are on the
front lines of the violent, preventable crime of impaired driving. JUSTEN

Ryan Mathew Matthias, 48, was charged November 18 with two counts of pornography - procure/produce/distribute/possess juvenile pornography; one count of procurement/attempt
procurement of child pornography/obscene material; one count of violation of Oklahoma statute via computer; and one count of
unlawful possession of controlled dangerous substance (oxycodone), in Creek
County District Court.
According to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), on September
12, the Sapulpa Police Department requested the OSBI Internet Crimes Against
Children Unit (ICAC) to investigate a cyber tip regarding child sexual abuse material. During the investigation, OSBI special agents reviewed the online files and
discovered several explicit images. The online user was identified as Matthias,
who is a current instructor at Central Technology Center in Sapulpa, as well as a
former law enforcement officer in Creek County.
On November 5, the OSBI ICAC Task Force, along with the Sapulpa Police
Department and Muscogee Nation Lighthorse Police Department, served a
search warrant at Matthias’ residence and workplace. During the search, digital
devices were recovered.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, Matthias was arrested and
booked into the Creek County Jail. His next court appearance is scheduled for
December 11. JOSHUA

REPEAT OFFENDER
A Chandler Man was sentenced last month
to serve 12 years in federal prison for illegal
firearm possession following a shooting inside
metro bar last year.
Nicklus Cole Sweet, 42, of Chandler, has
been sentenced to serve 12 years in federal
prison for illegal possession of a firearm following a previous felony conviction, announced
U.S. Attorney Robert J. Troester.
On December 19, 2023, a federal grand jury charged Sweet with being a
felon in possession of a firearm. According to public record, on April 1, 2023,
officers with the Oklahoma City Police Department responded to reports of
a shooting at a metro bar. When officers arrived, they found three individuals
who had been killed as a result of gunshot wounds, and another three who
were injured. Officers reviewed surveillance footage, where they observed
Sweet shooting a firearm during the incident, which injured one of the individuals involved. Pursuant to a court approved search warrant, officers
searched a vehicle tied to Sweet on April 3, 2023, and located a firearm that
was determined to belong to Sweet.
Public record further reflects that Sweet has previous felony convictions,
including convictions for endangering others while eluding a police officer
and driving with a suspended license in Canadian County District Court
case number CF-2017-846, knowingly concealing stolen property in Lincoln
County District Court case number CF-2011-00227, and being a felon in
possession of a firearm in the Western District of Oklahoma case number
CR-21-129.
On April 18, 2024, Sweet pleaded guilty, and admitted he possessed the
firearm despite his criminal record.
At the sentencing hearing on October 31, 2024, U.S. District Judge Joe
Heaton sentenced Sweet to serve 12 years in federal prison, followed by
three years of supervised release. In announcing the sentence, the Court
noted the serious circumstances in this case, which involved Mr. Sweet
shooting an individual during a violent altercation. The court also noted that
Mr. Sweet had only been released from prison—for illegally possessing a
firearm—about a month before having participated in this shooting. PATRICK

AROUND THE NATION
Foiled again
During the early morning hours of November 7, A
Brevard County (Florida) sheriff’s deputy was out on a
leisurely patrol in a wooded area when he came upon
Matthew Korecky who quickly grabbed a piece of aluminum foil, along with a bag containing a green powdery substance that he retrieved from a yellow box near
his feet.
As soon as the confronted Korecky, he tried to hide
the items under his body, hoping the deputy hadn’t seen his actions. Unfortunately for
him, he wasn’t quick enough and the deputy detained Korecky and collected the unknown items. As things progressed, it didn’t take long before the deputy located not only
the drugs he was trying to hide, but more drugs and a firearm that had been reported
stolen out of a nearby police station’s jurisdiction.
In total, Korecky had 17.4g of methamphetamine, 4 pills identified as muscle relaxers,
and approximately 8.3 grams of Fentanyl, which if put into a lethal dose would be enough
to kill just over 4,000 people.
To top it all off, Korecky is a convicted felon and is unable to legally possess firearms,
but clearly he doesn’t obey the law.
The good news is that Korecky is now residing in the big house on no bond, as he was
arrested for Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession
of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Use/
Display Firearm or Carry Conceal Firearm
During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. ZENA

DUAL IDENTITIES
A Guthrie couple has been sentenced to serve
more than three years collectively in federal prison after purchasing multiple vehicles using stolen
identities.
Kyler Womack, 34, of Guthrie, has been sentenced to serve 21 months in federal prison for
conspiring to commit wire fraud, announced U.S.
Attorney Robert J. Troester.
On February 20, 2024, a federal grand jury returned a three-count Indictment against Womack
and co-defendant Megan McKinley, 34, charging
them with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and
aggravated identity theft.
According to public record, in September 2023,
Womack and McKinley conspired together to purchase three vehicles using the stolen information
of other individuals. The couple’s attempted purchase of a fourth vehicle was unsuccessful and
led to their arrests.
Court records allege the couple possessed the
personal information of hundreds of individuals.
There is no evidence the couple was responsible for the original theft of the information, and how they came to possess the information is unknown.
Both Womack and McKinley have pleaded guilty to Count 1 of the Indictment,
and admitted they conspired together to commit wire fraud by fraudulently purchasing vehicles with stolen means of identification.
On August 27, 2024, McKinley was sentenced to serve 18 months in federal
prison, followed by two years of supervised release.
At the sentencing hearing November 1, 2024, U.S. District Judge Patrick R.
Wyrick sentenced Womack to serve 21 months in federal prison, followed by
two years of supervised release. In announcing his sentence, Judge Wyrick noted the significant number of stolen identities that Mr. Womack and Ms. McKinley
had acquired, and the great harm they could have done if not caught quickly.

AROUND THE STATE
Can you shoot at a drone? – Nope, and here is a
recent incident about it.
On Nov. 6, around 5:15 p.m., Officers responded to a call about shots fired behind a church at
9120 E. Broken Arrow Expressway.
Security at the church said they saw a man
walking near their building, then heard a gunshot
ring out from the suspect’s location.
Officers arrived and quickly found the suspect, Blake Butler, on a nearby trail.
Butler admitted to having a gun concealed in his waistband. Blake surrendered
without incident, and police were able to recover the semi-automatic pistol.
While determining if Butler was just randomly firing a pistol or if he had a specific target, Officers located a man who said he was flying his drone in preparation
of a nearby event. The man said Butler pulled out a pistol and fired at the drone.
When we questioned Butler about it, he told officers that he thought the drone
was following him, so he shot at it.
Blake Butler was arrested for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession
of a Firearm AFCF. No one was injured in this incident, including the UAS.
