YUKON MAN MAKES
COURT APPEARANCE
A Yukon man appeared in court last month for his initial hearing on
child porn charges filed in October.
Michael David Giordano, 38, was charged October 21 with two
counts of of aggravated possession of child pornography, in Canadian County District Court.
Reports state that Giordano was found to be in possession of 100 or more separate photos and/or videos depicting child pornography. The images were stored electronically on a
gaming tower and a mobile phone.
The Canadian County Sheriff’s had received cybertips back in June of this year from the
National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Deputies went to a home in the 9500 block
of NW 120th Street in Yukon where Giordano allegedly admitted that he downloaded child
porn images on two of his devices, and then provided passcodes to the devices.
Investigators discovered the child porn images and confiscated the devises.
Giordano was taken into custody and transported to the Canadian County Detention
Center.
According to court records, at his initial appearance on November 18 and his bond was
set at $50,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for January 13, 2025.

CAR CAMPING
Yukon man Eric Shawn Rea, 43, was arrested
after officers found him hiding out in a vehicle in
Elk City on November 12.
According to reports, Elk City police officers
were dispatched to the 200 block of North Oliver
to investigate reports of a man looking inside the
window of the home. When the officer arrived at
the location, he made contact with the homeowner. The homeowner said his wife saw a man looking through the window into
their living room.
The homeowner went outside and saw the man, later identified as Rea. He
asked Rea if he needed help with anything. Rea replied that he was looking for
two women.
While speaking to the man, the homeowner noticed the man had a pair of
scissors in his hand that he was “flailing about.” He then told Rea to leave, went
back inside his home and called the police.
Officers searched the property, and they found some opened mail from another home. They also found a box containing some trash that the homeowner said
wasn’t his and some scissors in the driveway.
Officers continued their search and found Rea hiding inside a vehicle that belonged to the homeowner. During the investigation, officers learned that the car
hadn’t been operable for “quite some time.”
Rea was sleeping in the passenger seat of the vehicle. Officers placed Rea
under arrest. They found the key to the vehicle in his pocket.
Rea pleaded guilty to the charge of loiter in or around a motor vehicle. JOSE

FOUR SCORES
Four people were arrested after a traffic stop revealed
drugs, paraphernalia, and a gun in their possession.
According to reports, a Blaine County deputy stopped
a vehicle in the early morning hours on December 1. He
stopped the vehicle after noticing the irregular behavior of
the occupants inside.
He made contact with the people inside the vehicle who
were identified as: Carlos Samuel Diaz, 18, Oklahoma
City; Osvnnv Warledo, 21, Oklahoma City; Victoria Calvillo, 25, Liberal, Kansas; and Dewayne Marquell Coleman,
25, Guymon.
Deputies spoke to the vehicle occupants. The occupants all gave the deputies different answers to questions. When a deputy asked one of the men to field test
a substance found in the vehicle, the man said yes. The
substance tested positive for illegal substances.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found some scales,
a handgun, a large amount of cash, and more than a half
pound of meth. The drugs had been packaged separately,
as though they were ready for sale.
The handgun was loaded with “cop killer” rounds. The
rounds are designed for the military to pierce body armor.
All four suspects were placed under arrest.
Diaz is being charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs and conspiracy. His bond was set at $50,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on January 7,
2025.
Warledo is being charged with aggravated trafficking in
illegal drugs, conspiracy, and possession of a firearm after
a felony conviction. He is scheduled to appear in court on
December 17, 2024. Bond information was unavailable at
the time of publication.
Calvillo is being charged with aggravated trafficking in
illegal drugs, conspiracy, and unlawful possession of drug
paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in court on December 18, 2024. Bond information
Coleman is being charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs, falsely personate another to create a liability, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, and conspiracy. His bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear
in court on December 17, 2024.

AROUND THE NATION
Foiled again
During the early morning hours of November 7, A
Brevard County (Florida) sheriff’s deputy was out on a
leisurely patrol in a wooded area when he came upon
Matthew Korecky who quickly grabbed a piece of aluminum foil, along with a bag containing a green powdery substance that he retrieved from a yellow box near
his feet.
As soon as the confronted Korecky, he tried to hide
the items under his body, hoping the deputy hadn’t seen his actions. Unfortunately for
him, he wasn’t quick enough and the deputy detained Korecky and collected the unknown items. As things progressed, it didn’t take long before the deputy located not only
the drugs he was trying to hide, but more drugs and a firearm that had been reported
stolen out of a nearby police station’s jurisdiction.
In total, Korecky had 17.4g of methamphetamine, 4 pills identified as muscle relaxers,
and approximately 8.3 grams of Fentanyl, which if put into a lethal dose would be enough
to kill just over 4,000 people.
To top it all off, Korecky is a convicted felon and is unable to legally possess firearms,
but clearly he doesn’t obey the law.
The good news is that Korecky is now residing in the big house on no bond, as he was
arrested for Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession
of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Use/
Display Firearm or Carry Conceal Firearm
During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. JOSE

DECEMBER IS NATIONAL IMPAIRED
DRIVING PREVENTION MONTH
Two of the most celebrated dates in December –
Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve – are also among
the most dangerous. In 2018, drunk driving crashes
claimed 108 lives in those two days alone, accounting
for nearly half of total traffic deaths.
That is why Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD)
is teaming up with law enforcement agencies across
the country throughout the month of December, which
has been recognized as National Impaired Driving Prevention Month for the 39th consecutive year.
During December 2018, 839 people died in alcohol-related crashes, according to the
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While drunk driving deaths typically represent around a third of all traffic fatalities, that increased to nearly 50 percent on Dec. 24
and Dec. 31.
On Dec. 25, 2018, 35 people died in drunk driving crashes.
This is staggering.
The pain caused by one person’s choice to drive impaired is often permanent. Every
single death left a permanent empty seat at the table and turned a time of celebration
into tragedy.
And every single death was 100 percent preventable.
We’re asking everyone to take personal responsibility this holiday season by making
a plan for a safe ride home before your celebrations begin. Designate a non-drinking,
unimpaired driver. Take a taxi, a bus, or a train. Use a rideshare app like Uber. If you’re a
host, provide an alternative to your guests, such as festive, non-alcoholic drinks offered
by our partner Mocktail Beverages.
You can also show your commitment to drive sober by displaying one of our Tie One
On for Safety red ribbons or magnetic decals on your vehicle, which are available at our
local MADD offices around the country.
Drunk driving crashes increase throughout the month of December as more people
travel and attend events where alcohol is served. That is why every U.S. President since
Ronald Reagan has proclaimed December National Impaired Driving Prevention Month.
President Donald Trump continued in that tradition this month, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to prevent tragedies by making the decision to drive sober.
The proclamation also remembers victims of impaired driving, offers prayers for grieving families impacted by these tragedies and honors law enforcement who are on the
front lines of the violent, preventable crime of impaired driving. DAMIEN

FLORIDA OR BUST
A 76-year-old man from Jacksonville, Florida, was arrested in Custer County after he was
caught trafficking drugs on November 11.
According to reports, Weatherford police officers responded to a vehicle accident on Interstate
40 Eastbound near the 84-mile marker off ramp.
Samuel Wayne Waters, who was involved in the
accident, refused medical attention at the scene.
Officers noticed the truck Waters was driving had some front-end damage.
There were also several large trash bags in the bed of the truck. Waters explained that he was taking some stuff from New Mexico to Florida for his son.
As far as the vehicle accident, Waters said another vehicle had made him drive
off of the road and drive into a concrete barrier.
Officers gave the man a warning for improper lane usage. A wrecker was
called to the scene for the man’s truck.
During the investigation, however, officers noticed the odor of marijuana. They
searched the truck and found 11 trash bags and two duffel bags containing vacuum-sealed bags of a leafy green substance that tested positive for marijuana.
The amount of marijuana totaled 204 pounds.
Waters is being charged with trafficking in illegal drugs. He is scheduled to
appear in court on December 20, 2024.

GIVEN THE BOOT
Foss man Miles Leethan Ray, 31, was put behind bars
after an officer discovered fentanyl in his possession on
November 9.
According to reports, a Clinton police officer was on
patrol when he saw two men shining lights under a car at
an auto body shop shortly before 5 a.m. One of the men
was identified as Ray.
While checking the men’s information, the officer was
advised that both men had active warrants for their arrest.
Ray became agitated as the officer started to issue
a citation to the other man. The officer placed Ray in hand restraints since he had active
warrants.
On the way to jail, Ray reportedly took out a plastic bag from his boot. The bag contained a crystal-like substance that later tested positive for fentanyl. The fentanyl weighed
18.3 grams.
Ray is being charged with aggravated trafficking in illegal drugs after the former conviction of two or more felonies. He was scheduled to appear in court on December 13, 2024.
