Police are searching for a man who walked into a bank in Nebraska this week
and tried to open a checking account with a fake $1 million bill. Staff at the Pinnacle Bank branch in Lincoln reported the incident to police. The Lincoln Journal Star reports that bank employees say the man was adamant that the bill
was real despite tellers’ attempts to convince him otherwise. The man eventually left with the bill, but without a new account. Police are reviewing surveillance
video to try to identify the man. Police say they want to check on his welfare and
make sure he was not the victim of a crime. The largest denomination note ever
issued for public circulation was the $10,000 bill.
A Florida judge got to see more evidence than he expected when an accused
woman flashed her breasts in court. Susan Surrette, 54, was arrested for disorderly intoxication in Fort Lauderdale. She appeared in a Broward County bond
court via a video feed, NBC Miami reports. At one point during the hearing,
Judge John Hurley asked Surrette what she did for a living. She replied that she
worked as an escort and porn star under the name “Kayla Kupcakes.” During
the hearing, Surrette alleged she was the victim of police brutality and lifted up
her shirt to offer proof, according to WPTV. After her visual demonstration, Surrette told the judge she has a mental condition. Her attorney then told the
judge: “She’s somebody that needs help. She’s not going to get the help that
she needs at the jail,” according to WPLG. The judge ordered Surrette to pay
$100 bond and undergo a mental evaluation. Under the name Kayla Kupcakes,
Surrette has appeared in numerous adult films since 1998, including “Private
Stuffers 1,” “Sexcretaries” and “Mature Thunder Buns 1.”
When police in Largo, Florida, arrested Jeffrey Forrest Poole on charges of
violently resisting a police officer, the authorities made sure to list things like
his age, weight and address in his arrest report. Officers also included an alias
that Poole has allegedly used in the past ― and it’s pretty awesome, as well
as NSFW. Police were called to the 37-year-old suspect’s home on a reported domestic disturbance. When the officer arrived, according to the criminal
complaint, Poole exited his home and said, “I will beat every cop’s ass!” Then
Poole “raised his right fist and began to extend it towards my face in an attempt to strike me,” the arresting officer wrote, according to The Smoking Gun.
Since Poole was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail, it is highly
unlikely he made good on his ass-kicking promise. Poole was charged with
assaulting a police officer and violently resisting a police officer. What makes
this case interesting beyond Pinellas County is one tiny detail: The criminal alias
Poole has previously used, one “Dickface Johnson.” That name showed up
because Poole was either asked if he had any alias or a record on file under that
name, according to brobible.com.
You know when you’re in an art gallery and you decide to steal one of the
paintings off the wall and then you can’t find a way to jam it into your sweatshirt because it’s a painting and large rectangular paintings don’t belong inside
sweatshirts? Hate it when that happens! Well, this art thief ran into a similar
problem. Luckily, the piece was recovered by gallery staff before the suspect
could escape with it. However, the would-be thief is still on the lam. Police in
the U.K. have released surveillance video in the hopes that viewers will be able
to help locate him. Probably won’t be difficult, given his general difficulty with
the concept of hiding.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

A 66-year-old Ardmore woman who had
previously been banned from Walmart was
arrested on October 29 after she once again
entered the store and refused to leave. She
was so adamant about staying in the store
that she pulled out a large knife and threatened multiple people with it.
According to reports, Ardmore police were
dispatched to the store shortly after midnight
due to a woman trespassing in the store. Virginia Carrol Williamson had previously been
banned from the store, but she refused to
vacate the premises when employees asked
her to go.
Things escalated when officers arrived on
scene. The woman allegedly pulled a large kitchen knife out of her coat.
A customer in the store caught the incident on tape. Reports state she said
Williamson was trying to throw the knife at anyone that she thought she could
hit.
Officers used tasers in an attempt to subdue the woman so they could
place her under arrest, but her bulky clothes blocked the tasers. They were
eventually able to talk her down and she was placed in handcuffs and transported to jail.
Williamson is being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. Her
bond was set at $1,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on December 12, 2019.

DECEMBER IS NATIONAL DRUNK AND
DRUGGED DRIVING PREVENTION MONTH
Deaths in crashes involving
drunk drivers with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08+
dropped in 2010, but despite this
decrease, there were still 10,228
lives lost – that’s one person every
51 minutes. That makes it everyone’s problem.
It seems that many people were
doing their part to put a stop to
this completely preventable epidemic. Alcohol-related traffic fatalities reached a low point in the late 1990s.
Research also indicates that 62% of Americans exposed to the now-iconic Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk campaign have personally intervened
to stop someone from driving drunk, no doubt saving countless lives.
However, since the late 90’s, alcohol-related driving deaths have been
steadily increasing. It seems that though the campaign was very successful, it did not change the behavior of many potential impaired drivers. Many
thought the messages to be targeted at overtly drunk drivers, and not them.
When decision time came, they would consider themselves merely “buzzed”
and get behind the wheel.
The new PSAs created to address this gap were released in December
2005 with the objective to inspire dialogue and recognition of the dangers of
“buzzed” driving and subsequently, to motivate people to stop driving buzzed.
The next installment expands on this message, equating buzzed driving and
drunk driving and demonstrating the devastating consequences that can occur as a result of buzzed driving. The overall campaign hopes to educate
people that consuming even a few drinks can impair driving and that Buzzed
Driving is Drunk Driving.

14 | DECEMBER 2019 MURRAY COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
Sulphur Man Sentenced to More Than Ten Years for Oil and
Gas Fraud, Ordered to Pay More than $2.6 Million in Restitution
Justin Lane Foust, 43, of Sulphur, has been sentenced to
121 months in prison for wire fraud, money laundering, and
aggravated identity theft in connection with fraud against
Chesapeake Energy, announced U.S. Attorney Timothy J.
Downing.
According to an 11-count indictment filed on January
16, 2018, Foust was employed by Chesapeake Operating, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy
Corporation, from April 2002 until September 2011. In July
2011, Foust formed Platinum Express, LLC, which became
an approved vendor for Chesapeake Operating in October of that year. The indictment alleged that from October
2011 until July 2014, Chesapeake Operating contracted
with Platinum Express primarily to transport waste water to disposal facilities in western Oklahoma.
On February 5, 2019, a jury convicted Foust on 8 out of 11 counts of defrauding Chesapeake Operating by causing Platinum Express to submit false invoices for
services it did not perform. In particular, Foust created fraudulent work tickets for
steaming production equipment, dirt berm work, plating tanks, hauling rock, repairing
cattle guards, blading lease roads, and other services. He generated many fraudulent invoices for amounts just under $5,000, which he knew from his prior work with
Chesapeake Operating required a lower level of approval for processing and payment.
The trial evidence established he forged the signature and employee identification
number a Chesapeake Operating employee on each invoice to ensure Chesapeake
Operating’s accounting department would process them. This conduct qualifies as
aggravated identity theft. He further caused these work tickets and invoices to be
submitted through interstate wire communications to Oildex, the Denver, Colorado,
company that processed the claims on behalf of Chesapeake Operating.
U.S. District Judge Stephen P. Friot sentenced Foust to 121 months in prison, to
be followed by three years of supervised release, during which he must perform 104
hours of community service. This sentence includes a mandatory minimum two-year
sentence for aggravated identity theft. It also takes into account the court’s finding
that Foust obstructed justice by using civil lawsuits as a diversionary tactic to inculpate
others, destroyed evidence, staged a fake break-in of the Platinum Express office, and
provided false information to law enforcement.
The court also ordered Foust to pay $2,646,207.22 in restitution and $4,345,619.00
in forfeiture, which represents the proceeds he received from the offense as noticed
in the indictment.

Making things worse for everybody
Four inmates, a mother, and a girlfriend are
being charged for conspiracy after they allegedly worked together to smuggle drugs and
other contraband into the Marshall County Jail
in September and October.
Inmates Cameron Joe Lindsey, Buddy Ryan
Moody, Darius Keshawn Seals, Grady Allen
Widener, and Cameron’s mother and girlfriend,
Judy Donnell Lindsey and Kyla Valynn Barnes,
are being accused of defrauding the jail.
Reports state that the jail would allow family members of inmates to bring hygiene items
to the jail during the inmate’s first seven days
of incarceration. Those items consisted of stuff
such as body wash, toothpaste and undergarments.
In September, Cameron Lindsey allegedly
recruited Moody, a new inmate, to have some
stuff delivered to the jail under his name. Judy
Cameron delivered the items, which included
body wash with cigarettes inside the bottle.
A second individual also delivered items to
the man. That drop included some toothpaste
with four grams of meth inside.
Family members can no longer deliver items
to the jail.
All six individuals are being charged with
conspiracy to defraud the Marshall County Jail.
Cameron Lindsey’s bond was set at $75,000, and he is scheduled to
appear in court on December 10, 2019.
Judy Lindsey is being charged with conspiracy to defraud the Marshall
County Jail. Her bond was set at $7,500, and she is scheduled to appear
in court on December 17, 2019.
Barnes’ bond was set at $10,000, and she is scheduled to appear in
court on December 5, 2019.
Moody was denied bond for this charge. He is scheduled to appear in
court on December 5, 2019.
Seals’ bond was set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court
on December 5, 2019.
Widener’s bond was set at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in
court on December 5, 2019.

20 | DECEMBER 2019 MCCLAIN COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
around the state
A New Jersey man pleaded guilty in
federal court to conspiring with others
to purchase, transport and sell more
than 1,000 box turtles that were unlawfully collected from the state of Oklahoma, announced U.S. Attorney Trent
Shores.
From May 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018,
William T. Gangemi, 26, of Freehold, New Jersey, knowingly facilitated the
purchase and transport of unlawfully collected three-toed and western (ornate) box turtles from Oklahoma to New Jersey in order to sell them for
profit. Gangemi was part of a syndicate of wildlife smugglers where protected turtles were exchanged back and forth between the United States
and China.
By smuggling the turtles, Gangemi violated the Lacey Act, a federal law
which makes it a felony to engage in the sale or purchase of protected
wildlife with a market value in excess of $350 knowing that the wildlife was
taken, possessed, transported or sold in violation of laws or regulations of
any state. In Oklahoma, the collection of both types of box turtles for commercial purposes is against the law. Box turtles reach sexual maturity at
approximately 10 years of age and have a high nest and juvenile mortality
rate. Due to these factors, the harvest of the turtles can have highly detrimental effects on populations.
“Oklahomans respect and value wildlife, and we don’t appreciate those
who would seek to exploit our vulnerable wildlife populations for their corrupt greed. Laws created by Congress to protect wildlife, like the box
turtle, will be enforced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Defendant Gangemi
flagrantly violated state and federal laws by illegally collecting and exporting box turtles to the black market,” said U.S. Attorney Trent Shores. “As a
result of the diligent investigative work undertaken by agents from the U.S.
Fish and Wildlife Service and Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation, Mr. Gangemi must now face the consequences.”
“This case is an excellent example of how state and federal law enforcement agencies work together to combat the illegal wildlife trade,” said Phillip Land, a Special Agent in Charge for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
“We would like to thank the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the U. S. Attorney’s Office for their assistance with this case. Together, we can hold traffickers accountable and protect imperiled species
for future generations.”
As part of his plea agreement, Gangemi agreed to pay $250,000 in
restitution to the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and a
$100,000 fine to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for violation of the Lacey Act. The final restitution and fine amounts will be determined by the
Court at the time of sentencing, which is scheduled for Jan. 27, 2020.
Gangemi also pleaded guilty to additional federal charges for trafficking
wildlife in South Carolina and New Jersey.
