A Broken Bow man allegedly threatened
to kill his mom and brother with a couple of
kitchen knives on July 27.
According to the affidavit, McCurtain County deputies were dispatched to a home on
Choctaw Street in Broken Bow at approximately 9:56 p.m. They met with a woman
who said her son, 28-year-old Max Simeon
Williston, threatened to stab her and her other
son during an argument. She told them Williston was in his room, but warned them that
he was drunk and might become violent when
he found out she called the police.
The deputies walked into the home and
found Williston lying on his bed. They immediately placed him under arrest.
The victim said she and her son were arguing and he became aggressive.
During the argument, Williston yelled for his brother. When his brother came
to see what was going on, the woman said Williston grabbed two knives and
tried to fight him. Williston also threatened to kill his brother and their mother.
The suspect’s brother told the deputy he heard Williston yelling at their
mom, so he walked out of his room to see what was going on. He said Williston started threatening to kill him. At one point, Williston walked into the
kitchen and grabbed two knives.
Williston continued to threaten his brother. The man said he walked back
to his room, but Williston followed him with the knives.
Williston is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and threaten to perform act of violence. His bond was set at $20,000,
and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 15, 2016.

Atoka man Christopher Lee Greenwood, 45, allegedly assaulted and spit on police officers during an
altercation on July 19.
According to the affidavit, an Atoka officer was advised that a man tried to break into a residence in the
200 block of E. B Street at approximately 6:57 p.m.
On the way to the location, the officer learned that a
deputy was hot on the suspect’s tail.
The officer located the man whom he recognized
as Greenwood. He knew Greenwood was wanted on
an outstanding warrant in Atoka County.
The deputy was chasing the man.
When Greenwood saw the officer, he yelled, “Come on, you mother f---
-- and get me!”
The officer exited his vehicle and walked toward the suspect. Greenwood
was extremely angry -- at one point, he picked up a bag from the ground and
tore it in half. He kept yelling and cussing at police.
As the officer approached him, Greenwood stood in a boxing stance and
told the officer to “come get some.”
The officer did. An altercation ensued and Greenwood repeatedly hit the
officer.
The deputy approached the scene, pulled out his taser, and stunned
Greenwood. The officer helped the man off the ground and put him in handcuffs.
Greenwood was still pissed off, though. He called the deputy a “sorry
mother f——.” He also spit on the deputy multiple times.
When the officer tried to put the man into the backseat of a patrol vehicle,
Greenwood continued to struggle, and he started kicking the car door. The
officer forced the man in the vehicle. Greenwood rolled over on his back and
started kicking the officer in the chest.
The angry man was eventually transported to jail and locked up in a cell.
Greenwood is being charged with prisoner placing body fluid on government employee and assault and battery upon police officer. His bond was
set at $100,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on August 31, 2016.

An Antlers man allegedly
stole a woman’s car and
$1,100 out of her purse while
she napped on August 6.
32-year-old Billy Jack Janoe claimed that he took
the money so no one would
steal it.
According to the police
report, the victim called the
Antlers Police Department
the next day and told an officer that her mother’s vehicle
was stolen from a friend’s
home in the 400 block of SE
E Street. She said she was visiting a friend and fell asleep
in a chair around 7 a.m. When she woke up, her friend
said Janoe had left in her vehicle to go to the grocery
store. The friend also advised Janoe had taken $1,100
out of the woman’s wallet so no one would steal it.
The officer spoke to the woman’s friend, who said that
Janoe told him he was going to drive the woman’s car to
the grocery store. The friend also said Janoe took some
money out of the woman’s purse and said he was taking
it so he could keep it safe.
The victim told the officer she was told the missing car
was in Hugo at the Cedar Shed Apartments. Officers
checked the location, but they were unable to find the
vehicle.
No one had any idea where Janoe was -- they hadn’t
heard from him since he left in the car on August 6.
Janoe is being charged with unauthorized use of vehicle and grand larceny in a dwelling house.

When 26-year-old Tupelo man Kevin Carter Kieckhefer went home after a night of drinking with a nasty
injury on his face, he told his wife if she didn’t help him,
he was going to call the cops and tell them she hit him.
Well, she refused and he called, but officers didn’t believe him.
On July 20, a Coal County deputy was dispatched to
a residence on CR 3690 shortly after midnight for a domestic disturbance in progress. According to the police
report, dispatch advised the officer that Kieckhefer and
his wife got into an argument, and the woman attacked
her husband with a piece of furniture. Kieckhefer said he feared for his safety.
When the deputy arrived, he met with Kieckhefer, who had a swollen eye
and a lump on his cheek. He claimed his wife hit him in the eye.
The wife had another story. She said Kieckhefer came home from the bar
and told her he was involved in a fight in the parking lot. He said he needed
her help.
The deputy contacted the Ada PD, but there were no reports of a fight at
the watering hole.
Kieckhefer’s wife said he told her if she didn’t help him, he was going to
call the cops and tell them she attacked him so she would know what it was
like to go to jail.
The only person who was about to experience jail was Kieckhefer.
The deputy turned his attention back to the man, who appeared to be very
intoxicated. He admitted that he went out drinking and drove back home.
Kieckhefer had several marks on his hands that indicated he had been in a
fight.
His wife didn’t.
Kieckhefer refused to elaborate on what happened outside of the bar -- he
insisted his wife was the guilty one.
The deputy placed the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
Kieckhefer is being charged with false reporting of a crime. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on October 7, 2016.

Durant woman Sarah Betty Ann Baker, 61, was
caught stealing from Walmart for the (known) third
time on July 20.
She claimed a man made her do it.
According to the police report, a Durant officer
was dispatched to the store in the 3700 block of W.
Main Street shortly after 5 p.m. due to a larceny. An
employee advised that she saw Baker walk out of an
aisle with a cart filled with two air conditioners and
other stuff. She was also carrying two fishing poles.
The employee watched as Baker walked toward
the front doors and continued out of the store without paying for anything. The employee confronted the woman, who admitted to stealing the items.
On the way to the location, the officer was advised that Baker had a
confirmed warrant through the city of Durant.
When he arrived, he spoke to Baker about the incident. She told him that
a man brought her to the store. She said she had only known the man for
a month, but he had made her steal things before. Baker said the man told
her what to steal from the store while he waited in the parking lot. She later
changed her story and said she walked to the store and the man found her
in the parking lot. She said he held a knife to her neck and threatened to
stab her if she didn’t steal the stuff.
The employee showed the officer footage from the security camera. He
watched as Baker and an unknown male stepped out of a vehicle and enter the store. The man helped Baker load up the air conditioners and other
items into a shopping cart before walking out of the store alone.
The items stolen totaled $513.48.
The officer placed Baker under arrest and transported her to jail, where
she was also served with a copy of her warrant.
Baker is being charged with larceny of merchandise from a retailer. Her
bond was set at $1,500, and she was scheduled to appear in court on
August 10, 2015.

Police in Washington state said a woman “learned that butt dialing can be
more than just embarrassing” when a 911 operator heard about her “illegal
activities.”
Bremerton Police Chief Steven Stachan said in his weekly newsletter that
a woman apparently accidentally dialed 911 from her pocket and operators
heard the “very angry sounding” suspect talking to a man believed to be her
boyfriend.
The woman was heard discussing “scratch tickets and illegal activities,”
leading officers to visit the address on Cherry Ave. where the call originated.
“When officers got to the area, she could be heard saying that she ‘saw the
police’ and would ‘not be going to jail.’ She was seemingly clairvoyant, but that
prediction was wrong,” Stachan wrote.
The woman, who also allegedly tried to give police a fake name, was booked
on an outstanding arrest warrant for trafficking in stolen property.
“The jail takes away inmate’s cell phones, so she should be able to avoid this
problem, at least for a while,” Stachan wrote.
A Florida postal worker may face a $250,000 fine or even jail time after being caught on camera dumping mail into the trash, according to WINK News.
A restaurant owner in Fort Myers told WINK he was working on the roof of
his pizza place last weekend when he saw the mail carrier unloading a bin full
of flyers and personal letters into a dumpster.
Special agents for the USPS inspector general’s office have surveillance
footage of the incident and are investigating, WINK reports.
A local realtor, whose flyers were among the mail trashed, said he doesn’t
think it’s a one-off incident.
Police in Japan said they have arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of
robbing a convenience store after he returned to the crime scene to apologize.
Katsutoshi Ozaki, a company employee from Tokyo’s Edogawa Ward, is accused of robbing a convenience store in Misato, Saitama Prefecture, on July
20. According to police, at the time of the robbery, he had pointed a knife at
the store clerk, tied his hands and feet, and stole 1.75 million yen from the
store’s safe. He then fled the scene and had remained at large despite police
efforts to find him.
The manhunt, however, changed drastically when Ozaki, apparently regretting his actions, returned to the convenience store at 11 p.m. to apologize to
the staff, Fuji TV reported.
The convenience store staff contacted police and Ozaki was arrested on the
spot.
Ozaki was quoted by police as saying that he desperately needed money to
repay his debts, but was sorry for what he had done and wanted to apologize
to the store staff.
Police in Italy have been left embarrassed after thieves robbed a bank despite warnings from local residents that they could hear a tunnel being dug,
according to media reports.
The four robbers dug the tunnel under a bank in central Milan, and once
inside waited for the first employees to arrive before forcing them to open the
safe and empty the safety deposit boxes.
Police arrived on the scene after the alarm went off, only to discover that the
crooks had made their escape.
Local residents were quick to point out that they had warned the authorities
something odd was going on underneath the building.
“We began hearing noises on Sunday evening. We were jokingly saying to
each other, ‘Are they robbing the bank?’,” one unnamed resident was quoted
as saying in the media.
“On Monday one of us went to the bank to warn them about the tremors
we had felt. Others went to the nearest police station on Tuesday because the
sounds had not stopped.”
On Thursday, the night before the robbery, “even the pavement outside was
shaking”, they added.
The value of the theft was not immediately known.

Grant woman Kayla Ann Ainsworth, 22, admitted to breaking
into several homes in July and stealing stuff, including an Xbox, a
coin collection, and a Kindle.
According to the police report, a Choctaw County deputy met
with Ainsworth on July 29. The woman allegedly entered a home
without permission and was confronted by the homeowner.
She agreed to go speak to deputies about the incident the following Monday.
On August 1, Ainsworth arrived at the sheriff’s office for her interview. She admitted to entering several homes and stealing some stuff. She also told
police that she had a stolen Xbox in her trunk.
Deputies accompanied her to her vehicle, and she showed them the game console. Ainsworth then got into a patrol car with officers. As they drove around, she
pointed out all of the homes she had broken into. She also said she broke into two
homes that she didn’t steal anything from.
In addition to the Xbox and a coin collection, Ainsworth said she took a Kindle
from a home and pawned it at a shop in Paris, Texas.
A deputy contacted the owner of the Kindle and asked her if she was missing a
tablet. She said yes. She told the deputy she looked everywhere for it. When she
couldn’t find the Kindle, she called Amazon and had them disable it.
The victim said nothing else in her home was disturbed.
Ainsworth is being charged with burglary in the second degree. She was scheduled to appear in court on August 15, 2016.
