OSBI ARRESTS GARVIN COUNTY COUPLE ON
CHILD NEGLECT CHARGES
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI) arrested a mom and her boyfriend for
child neglect. Jourdan Jeanae Driskell, 32, and
her live-in boyfriend Bruce Andrews, 48, were arrested June 7 at the Garvin County Courthouse
in Pauls Valley. Both face one charge of Child
Neglect, which is a felony.
The OSBI was requested by the Garvin County
Sheriff’s Office on May 24, 2022 to investigate
allegations of child sexual abuse of a five-yearold girl. The child primarily lives with Driskell and
Andrews near Stratford. She recently reported to
her father that she frequently saw Andrews naked and saw his genitals. The OSBI investigation
revealed that the child watched Andrews touch
himself and he allowed her to touch his genitals. Driskill was present when these incidents
occurred. Both Andrews and Driskill allowed the
child to draw on their buttocks.
Driskell and Andrews bonded out an hour after
being booked into the Garvin County Jail.
The Pauls Valley Police Department and Garvin
County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the investigation.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday
A man was killed after he flashed a gun at officers during a pursuit on June 20.
According to reports, a liquor store clerk reported a theft at the business in the 2000 block of N.
14th Street at approximately 7:15 p.m. A white
male walked into the store, stole some booze, and
left on foot.
Officers went to the location and pursued the
man about a mile from the store. The man, who
had a gun, walked into the middle of the street and
approached a vehicle traveling down the road. He forced a woman out of
the car and took the vehicle.
Officers chased after the man, who drove back to the strip mall where
the theft took place. He drove the vehicle through the grassy field behind
the strip mall and abandoned the stolen car. He then took off into some
woods.
Officer pursued the man. At one point, the man turned around and appeared to have a gun. Officers fired at the man, who died at the scene.
An investigation is being conducted by the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation.

ALLEGED RAPIST CAUGHT IN MISSOURI
An Osage County man accused of rape
was arrested in Missouri on June 24 after he
failed to turn himself in.
According to reports, Hominy police told
the suspect, 48-year-old Gideon Goodeagle,
that he was being charged with first-degree
rape on June 16. The man agreed to turn
himself in, but he never showed up at the police station.
The man was facing charges for the alleged
assault that took place in June. The victim,
who had been drinking at Goodeagle’s residence on June 14 into June 15, told police
that Goodeagle forcibly raped her.
Hominy police officers were notified about
the rape when the woman went to a Tulsa hospital the morning of June 15 to
request a sexual assault exam.
Hominy police executed a search warrant at Goodeagle’s residence. An
officer spoke to Goodeagle, who said he was in Tulsa and would return to
Hominy within the hour, but he never showed up. He also stopped answering
his phone.
The man managed to evade arrest until June 24, when he was detained
by Missouri Highway Patrol and put behind bars at the Greene County Jail in
Springfield, Missouri.
Goodeagle is being charged with first degree rape (force and fear).

COOPERATION CAPTURES CROOK
A joint effort between three law enforcement agencies nabbed an alleged burglar
and arsonist wanted by the Pawnee County
Sheriff’s Department.
According to the Pawnee County Sheriff’s
Office, on Wednesday, June 22, the Pawnee
County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of
Payne County Sheriff’s Office and the Cushing Police Department, arrested Alvin George
Andrews for burglary and arson after his former step-father’s home was burglarized and
set on fire in Pawnee County on June 14.
During the investigation, it was determined
that Andrews was a person of interest and attempts to locate him began. Statements and
further investigation lead investigators to several locations where they were
able to recover stolen property from the victim’s home.
With the help of Payne County and Cushing Police Department, investigators were able to locate Andrews.
“It was a joint effort between us, Payne County and Cushing PD,” said
Sheriff Darrin Varnell. “My investigator was able to determine probable cause
and get him in jail. With help from our partners we were able to quickly solve
this case.”
Andrews was arrested and booked in the Pawnee County Jail on charges
of burglary and arson.
Formal charges have not been filed as of press time.

FATHER AND SON CHARGED WITH
FIRST DEGREE MURDER
A father and son from Bartlesville are facing charges of first degree murder after they
allegedly contributed to the drug overdose of
a man in 2021.
The men were identified as 55-year-old
Charles Ival Johnson and 30-year-old Jason
Michael Johnson.
According to reports, the death happened
at Murphy’s Gas Station on Green County Road on October 29, 2021. Investigators
found a single laced fentanyl pill in the bathroom near the victim. Police believed the victim purchased the pills from the father and
son.
The men told police that they knew the victim, but they said they never gave him any
pills.
During the investigation, officers discovered
that the victim bought the pills from the men
at the Extended Stay on Washington Boulevard before he went to the gas station.
According to court records, both men were
arrested in March after they allegedly sold
fentanyl pills to an undercover Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics agent.
Both men are being charged with first
degree murder. Their bonds were set at
$500,000, and they are scheduled to appear
in court on June 24, 2022.

OBN AND BARTLESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT SHUT DOWN LARGESCALE METH TRAFFICKING ORGANIZATION
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) and the Bartlesville Police
Department have shut down a large methamphetamine trafficking organization in northeast Oklahoma. OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward says
Agents and Officers served 13 Arrest Warrants just after 7:00 a.m. on
May 24 on individuals tied to a joint investigation launched by OBN and
Bartlesville Police Department in the fall of 2021. Woodward says this
organization is responsible for unloading significant quantities of methamphetamine onto the streets.
“During the course of the investigation, we found this organization shipping anywhere from 10 to 25 pounds of meth into northeastern Oklahoma
from the west coast on a weekly basis. Those shipments would then be
moved onto the streets in Washington County, Nowata County and parts
of Kansas.” ---OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward
Throughout the investigation, Woodward says Agents have seized more
than 35 pounds of meth and nearly 100 firearms associated with this organization. Woodward says a total of 13 individuals were arrested. Most
of the defendants were transported to the Washington County Jail where
they face a variety of charges including trafficking methamphetamine.
OBN Director Donnie Anderson says these types of joint investigations
are critical in eliminating drug threats in rural Oklahoma.
“Meth continues to be the top killer when it comes to drug-related deaths
in our state. I am grateful to our local law enforcement partners who work
tirelessly along-side our Agents every day to identify and dismantle these
trafficking organizations that destroy lives and families.” OBN Director
Donnie Anderson
Assisting with Arrest Warrants were Agents and Officers from OBN,
Bartlesville Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department,
Nowata County Sheriff’s Department, The District 11 Drug Task Force and
the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

AMERICA’S DEADLIEST SHOOTINGS
ARE ONES WE DON’T TALK ABOUT
On any given day in America, an average of 63 of our mothers,
brothers, partners, and friends are taken from us by gun suicide.
But tomorrow’s deaths could be prevented. Give your loved ones
a second chance at life. Store your guns safely: locked, unloaded,
and away from ammo.
