A mother involved in an OKC’s Amber Alert faces multiple charges

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — An Oklahoma City woman charged with several domestic assault and battery charges remains jailed on $200,000 bail.

Midaysia Highwalker, 20, is charged in Oklahoma County District Court with domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after a felony conviction, child neglect, domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor, and threatening act of violence. 

Tristian Rivera and Highwalker were involved in an altercation when Rivera attempted to remove the couple’s three-month-old child from Highwalker’s apartment. Highwalker used a carjack to strike Rivera in the back of his head during the assault, according to an arrest warrant.

Highwalker’s family has denied any assault, according to published reports.
