LITTLE THINGS LEAD TO BIG THINGS
On July 14 Canadian County Sheriff’s Deputies
executed a search warrant for marijuana on a travel
trailer belonging to Jesse Yarclay, 31, living at an RV
park at 11528 I-40 Service Road Oklahoma City, OK.
Investigators began the investigation when a victim
of a stolen cellular phone contacted the Sheriff’s Office saying their cellular phone was pinging through
a Find My Iphone Application at Yarclay’s residence.
The victim said their cellular phone was stolen from
Newcastle and would like us to recover their phone.
While investigators were planning to execute a
search warrant, deputies began to stake out Yarclay’s residence. During
this time another Deputy spotted Yarclay in his vehicle on Mustang Road
and initiated a traffic stop. Yarclay told deputies he had marijuana located
in his trailer, but declined to give consent to search. Yarclay was in possession of a suspended driver’s license and was arrested for driving under
suspension and forged paper tag. After the arrest it was confirmed Yarclay
was a convicted felon for forgery, as well as assault and battery.
Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant for the admitted narcotics located in Yarclay’s travel trailer. Once inside the trailer, Deputies recovered marijuana, stolen firearms, drivers’ licenses from various citizens,
counterfeit United States Currency, and equipment to forge and manufacture counterfeit bills and checks.
“This case morphed from a stolen cell phone report into the take down
of a sophisticated mobile criminal operation. There’s really no telling how
many people Yarclay has scammed and victimized,” said Chris West, Canadian County Sheriff’.
Deputies collected evidence showing Yarclay was manufacturing United
States currency, checks, IDs, and credit cards. Various tools were collected that Yarclay used to stamp and manipulate these items for his own
nefarious use. Yarclay also possessed multiple driver licenses with other
citizens’ names but Yarclay’s photograph.
“We were happy to contact the United States Secret Service, who
quickly assigned agents to investigate the US Currency counterfeit portion
of Yarclays crimes,” Said West.
During the search of the trailer, and located under the mattress was a
Hi-Point 9mm rifle stolen in the state of Maryland. Deputies also recovered
a Hi-point 45 pistol and a Glock.
Yarclay was taken into custody and transported to the Canadian County
Jail, and booked on the following charges, Driving with a suspended license, Possessing a firearm by a convicted felon, possessing stolen property, use of a firearm while committing a felony, taking or receiving a stolen
credit card, possession of forged check, identity theft, altering or forging
a certificate of title, and make sell or display false identification for felony
purposes or to mislead a peace officer.
Yarclay’s bond was established at $45,000, and is no longer in custody.

A famous writer was in his
study and compiled the following list:
1. Last year, my gallbladder
was removed. I was in bed for a
long time.

favorite job. I spent 30 years with this publishing company.

4. The same year my son failed his medical exam because he had a car
accident. He was hospitalized with a cast on his leg for several days. The
destruction of the car was a second loss.
His concluding statement: “Alas! It was a bad year!”
When the writer’s wife entered the room, she found her husband looking
dejected and sad. She read what he had written, left the room, and came
back with another piece of paper. The husband read her version of his account of the year’s events:
1. Last year I finally got rid of my gallbladder which had given me many
years of pain.
2. I turned 60 with sound health and retired from my job. Now I can utilize
my time to write with more focus and peace.
3. The same year my father died at the age of 95 without depending on
anyone, without any critical conditions, and met his Creator.
4. The same year, God blessed my son with life. My car was destroyed,
but my son was alive and without permanent disability.
She concluded: This year was an immense blessing.
The moral? It’s not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness
that makes us happy. There is always, always something for which to be
thankful. Our attitude is everything and the one thing we can control.
In a recent “Our Daily Bread” devotional, the author shared the story of
Dr. Virginia Connally.
In 1940, at the age of 27, she braved opposition and criticism to become
the first female physician in Abilene, Texas. A few months before her 100th
birthday in 2012, the Texas Medical Association presented her with its Distinguished Service Award, the highest honor a Texas physician can receive.
Between 1940 and 2012, Dr. Connally embraced a passion for sharing
the gospel message globally. During her many medical mission trips, she
lived a life of service to God and to others — one day at a time.
Her pastor, Phil Christopher, said, “Every day for her is a gift.”
In a letter to her pastor, Dr. Connally wrote, “Every tour, trip, effort, I
wonder if this will be my last and ultimate? Only God knows. And this is
enough.”
What if we quit focusing on yesterday’s disappointments and tomorrow’s
uncertainties and focused on God’s unmatchable gift of today? Wouldn’t
our attitudes change?
When we embrace each day as a gift from God, we can’t help but have
a positive attitude.

An alleged burglar in California whose luck ran out when he got stuck inside a
home’s chimney has been arrested.
Officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department were initially dispatched to a home
after reports of a triggered burglary alarm.
A few minutes later, police got another call — this time from a woman who claimed
that her friend was trapped in a chimney at the same address.
When officers arrived, they discovered Keith Schultz, 28, wedged in the chimney.
They also found signs of forced entry and an open back door, leading them to conclude that Shultz’s accomplices broke into the home with him, and then fled the scene
when they were unable to free him.
Schultz, who was covered in soot in his mug shot, was eventually rescued from the
chimney by firefighters. He was taken to Bakersfield jail and charged with burglary.
Police have arrested two men and seized guns and marijuana after a video emerged
of them appearing in a “mannequin challenge” styled as a shoot-out. The video (which
is very well-done, incidentally) has been shared over 86,000 times is since it was posted to Facebook on November 9, 2016, and quickly become a social-media sensation,
racking up over 173,000 YouTube views.
An official from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office told reporters that after viewing
the video, investigators served a search warrant. They reportedly found two handguns, a shotgun, a rifle, and marijuana that appeared to be packaged for sale at the
residence.
Police have charged Terry Martez Brown, 23, with drug-paraphernalia possession,
loitering, and promoting prison contraband. Kenneth Fennell White, 49, faces charges
of first-degree marijuana possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
28-year-old Ricardo Cardona spent 20 minutes bashing down the door of Hudson Meats in south Austin. When he finally got into the place, he grabbed a couple
of packages of sausages from the cooler and took them back outside. The security
camera captured him walking back in and into the 40°F meat cooler for a moment
before heading to the office area, where he found a warm coat to put on and settled in
to sleeping off the alcohol he’d consumed before his arrival at someone’s desk. When
workers arrived the next morning, they called police. Cardona woke up to the police
officers charging him with criminal trespass.
Florida man Derrick Walden was busted after a six-hour standoff with police. Walden
got into a heated argument with a woman, who called police at around 9:15 P.M. after
the fight began to get seriously heated. Walden then barricaded himself and his victim inside the apartment and threatened to shoot police if they tried to enter the building. Negotiators worked for hours, and at around 3 A.M. the next morning Walden
finally let the woman go. He then fell asleep, enabling officers to arrest Walden, and he
was charged with misdemeanor battery, felony battery, domestic violence (strangulation), probation violation, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
When a police officer in Kootenai County, Idaho, conducted a security check of
Stoddard Park, he was surprised to see a Jeep Cherokee sitting parked next to a vehicle belonging to the Street Department of Hayden City. He was also surprised to see a
funnel sticking out of the fuel tank of the Jeep, as well as a siphoning hose in the Street
Department vehicle and a gas can between the two vehicles. Inside the Jeep, a woman was out cold in the front seat with drug paraphernalia sitting on the Jeep’s center
console. When the officer woke the woman up, he realized that she was also sitting
on a small bag of meth. Backup deputies busted Alyssa Wolf, 22, for possession and
drug charges and 25-year-old Scott Miller for siphoning the gas and burglary charges.

ELK CITY MAN SENTENCED TO FIVE
YEARS FOR THEFT AND GUN CRIMES
Jacob Shane McCain, 28, of Elk City, was
sentenced on July 27 to 60 months in prison for
transporting stolen property across state lines
and being a felon in possession of a firearm, announced Mark A. Yancey, United States Attorney
for the Western District of Oklahoma.
On September 6, 2016, McCain pled guilty to
two separate crimes: transporting stolen goods
across state lines and possessing a firearm as a
convicted felon.
According to court filings, McCain rented a
2012 skid steer valued at $73,000 from Warren
Caterpillar in Oklahoma City in February 2015. A few days later, he sold the
skid steer to an individual in Kansas for $10,000. Warren Caterpillar promptly
reported the theft to the Oklahoma City Police Department, and the skid steer
was recovered and returned. Further investigation determined that McCain
had pawned two firearms in the summer of 2015. Because he had two felony
convictions out of Beckham County, Oklahoma, he committed a federal felony when he possessed these weapons.
On July 27, U.S. District Judge Timothy D. DeGiusti sentenced McCain to
60 months in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. After his prison
term, McCain will serve three years on supervised release. McCain was also
ordered to pay $258,616 in restitution, based in part on similar crimes he
committed.

A fifth preliminary hearing date has been set for a
former Custer County jailer accused of sexual misconduct with several inmates at the jail.
Darrion Morgan, 24, was charged April 3 with three
counts of sexual battery in Custer County District
Court.
Morgan, who had worked at the jail for two years,
was arrested at his home in Clinton after agents with
the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation interviewed him and the two inmates, according to a news
release.
Reports state he was housed after his arrest in the
Roger Mills County jail “for his own protection”.
Online records show his bond was reduced to $25,000 in May with the
condition he have no contact with the victims. A continuance was granted
until June 6 to wait for the OSBI report, where motion was filed for another
continuance.
The next hearing is set for September 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Emphasize to your friend or loved one that it takes a lot of courage to seek
help for a drug problem because there is a lot of hard work ahead. There is
a great deal of scientific evidence that treatment works, and people recover every day. Like other chronic diseases, addiction can be managed successfully. Treatment enables people to counteract the powerfully disruptive
effects of drugs on the brain and behavior and to regain control of their lives.
Like many diseases, it can take several attempts at treatment to find the right
approach. But assure your friend or loved one that you will be supportive in
his or her courageous effort.

The Oklahoma State Bureau
of Investigation is offering up to a
$5,000 reward for information in the
murder case of 36-year-old Tammi
Thomas in Cordell. Thomas was
shot to death inside her home on
July 20, 2017. Her 14-year-old son
was wounded. He has since been
released from an Oklahoma City
hospital. OSBI special agents and
Washita County Sheriff’s investigators have run dozens of leads. Last
week, OSBI released information
about the suspect having a blunt
force trauma injury to his right forearm. That information helped generate
leads, but agents have not identified a suspect at this point. If anyone has
information that can help lead to the man who committed this murder, please

A federal grand jury has indicted an Enid bank robber who was arrested by Canton police in late June.
Marland Gene Hadley, Jr., 28, was charged with
robbing a bank with a dangerous weapon on July 19
and could face 25 years in prison and five years of
supervised release.
According to an indictment, Hadley robbed Security National Bank at 210 North Oakwood Road in Enid
on June 5, 2017. He is charged with using an air pistol
that resembled a firearm. As described in an affidavit
filed on June 15, 2017, Hadley held what witnesses described as a black
handgun and yelled for everyone in the bank to “get on the floor.”
An audit determined the bank lost $26,353.40 as a result of the robbery.
Hadley has been in custody since his arrest.
