A man was arrested after throwing a brick into the plexiglas window of a jewelry store...the brick bounced back, hit him in the head and knocked him cold
until the police got there.
Police interrogated a suspect by placing a metal colander on his head and
connecting it with wires to a photocopy machine. The message “He’s lying”
was placed in the copier, and police pressed the copy button each time they
thought the suspect wasn’t telling the truth. Believing the “lie detector” was
working, the suspect confessed.
Burglars in Maryland tried to cut through a safe using a Laser Tag gun.
When two service station attendants refused to hand over the cash to an
intoxicated robber, the man threatened to call the police. They still refused, so
the robber called the police and was arrested.
Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn’t
control himself during a lineup. When detectives asked each man in the lineup
to repeat the words, “Give me all your money or I’ll shoot,” the man shouted,
“That’s not what I said!”
In a small town of 1700, a student attempted to rob the local convenience
store wearing his letterman’s jacket. He did not realize that he was the only male
named Dana in the whole town.
A company called “Guns For Hire” stages gunfights for Western movies, etc.
One day, they received a call from a 47-year-old woman, who wanted to have
her husband killed. She got 4-1/2 years in jail.
Mexico - A group of drug traffickers cleverly decided to use a propane tanker
to cross the border from Mexico to El Paso, Texas. They released the propane
and concealed it within the truck 6,240 pounds of marijuana. The men did not
realize, however, that they had misspelled the name of the gas company.

A Tahlequah woman was taken into custody
after she was caught trying to smuggle a steak
dinner and other goodies into Dick Conner Correctional Center in Hominy.
Wakanda Johnson, 37, was charged March 20
in Osage County with possession of contraband
and conspiracy.
According to ODOC, officers spotted Johnson
bringing several items onto prison grounds. She
was detained and her vehicle searched.
Investigators recovered marijuana, liquid THC, a
cell phone, and food — including steaks & homemade potato skins.
A search warrant was issued for her home near
Tahlequah, where a task force seized more drugs and $4,000 in cash.

A&B ON A POLICE OFFICER
Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty 7 | APRIL 2019 CHEROKEE COUNTY
Julieann Logsdon, 33, of Tahlequah, entered
a guilty plea in federal court to False Statement,
punishable by not more than 5 years imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine, or both.
The Indictment alleges that on or about August
29, 2017, Logsdon did willfully and knowingly
make a materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent
statement by claiming she entered the MailMart
and turned off the alarm, at a specific date and
time. The statement and representation were
false because, as Logsdon then and there knew,
she did not enter the MailMart and did not turn off
the alarm at that time.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Tahlequah Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The Honorable Kimberly E. West, U.S. Magistrate Judge in the United
States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee,
accepted the plea and ordered the completion of a presentence investigation report.

Oklahoma senator proposes bill to allow counties to decide on medical marijuana legalization
OKLAHOMA CITY – Six months after Oklahoma voters approved a measure
legalizing medical marijuana, an Oklahoma lawmaker has filed a bill that would
allow counties to decide whether or not the measure applies to their area.
In June, over 891,000 voters cast their ballots in regards to State Question
788, which legalizes medical marijuana in Oklahoma. Ultimately, the measure
passed by a majority vote.
Under State Question 788, a person 18 years or older would need to apply
for a medical marijuana license with the Oklahoma State Department of Health
after receiving a note from their doctor. If approved, the patient would then
have to pay $100 to obtain that license.
Since applications became available in August, officials say more than 30,000
patient applications have been approved by the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana
Authority.
Now, an Oklahoma lawmaker has proposed a bill that would allow counties
to decide whether they want to follow State Question 788.
Senate Bill 325, which was authored by Sen. Casey Murdock, would add
restrictions to where medical marijuana can be consumed, sold or possessed.
“A county may, by vote of a majority of the registered voters in the county,
restrict or prohibit the possession, consumption, transport, sale, cultivation or
manufacture of marijuana or marijuana products, or any combination thereof,”
the bill states.
Murdock told KJRH that his measure would give counties flexibility.
“The locals, whether it’s the municipalities or whether it is the local law enforcement, they’re the ones that are going to have to deal with this new law,”
Sen. Casey Murdock (R-District 27) said.

_____________________________________
Sean R. The people voted for it. It shouldn’t be changed by politicians and
their “interests”
Mike B: I agree. Sounds like he’s wanting to shut down growers and everyone would have to buy from him
Bobbi H: Unconstitutional bill.... the ppl have spoken
John J: Ok if they wanna do that they shouldn’t be allowed to have any
access to the sales tax from it either. So all state taxes should be funded accordingly. Let’s see if they like losing that.
Sandy S: I agree! It has already produced a major windfall in OK. Just in the
licensing. I haven’t heard how much it has made in the pharmacies yet but I’m
sure it is a lot.
Donnie C: don’t have a problem with that. It’s worked with liquor in the past.
John J: liquor is not a prescription drug. Now since the law has passed
that would be just like outlawing Xanax, antidepressants and hormone pills
because these are all mood-altering or possibly mind-altering drugs. just like
marijuana like it or not these are all prescribed medical drugs
Austin H: Less government is the best option. Vote him out
Richard F: It is medical. You cannot compare it to liquor and wet or dry
counties. Medications are regulated for all people
Nancy M: Can we VOTE out this fool?
Tania J: Wasting tax payer money to try n oppress voters n votes IMO. It
was voted on n passed into state law by the voices of voters. Now, let’s find a
way to write a bill n make the voters votes be negated. Go figure
Cyndi J: It’s already been decided - this is crazy
Matthew M: I hope this guy loses his job next election
Stephen S: This jackass needs to be put out to Pasture. We the people
of Oklahoma passed this law and the law makers need to stay out of it. The
people of Oklahoma are tired of having to sue their representatives o er a law
we passed.
Donnie C: what representatives have you sued and when ?
Stephen S: I haven’t sued any and nobody else’s have sued a representative. The people of Oklahoma have had to file lawsuits over the lawmakers
trying to add they’re 2 cents in on the law or not implementing it properly. Actually the people of Oklahoma have had to basically sue their selves. No lawsuits
have had to go to court because the lawmakers recanted on their decisions.
Maybe that’s a little clearer. Sorry for the confusion.
Victor D: Vote him out of office we shouldn’t tolerate these kind of representatives!!!
Nick J: The people have spoken, these clowns need to get over it already.
Michael M: Sounds like the People spoke and this man thinks he and his
ideas should trump the peoples Vote. This is starting to become a trend. This
politician is a joke
Winnie B: Notice they don’t give a choice to opt out of ANY laws we don’t
want to follow. It’s just an end run around the law. Here is the next run at circumventing the will of the voters. Still not ready for an SQ that allows immediate recall and kicked to the unemployment curb? http://www.soonerpolitics.
org/.../the-first-wave-of...
Chris H: If we as a state chose to go recreational I believe there should be
a choice just like a dry county but the medical part should not be bothered or
meet the same standards.
Tyler B: This is bullshit and this guy needs a high five. I’m the face. With a
stapler
Heather M: What a joke!

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation
(OSBI) is investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place Wednesday, March 14, 2019
outside of Sallisaw.
At 9:07 a.m., the Sallisaw Police Department
received a call reporting a suspicious person
walking along Highway 59. The caller said the
individual appeared to match the description of
an inmate that reportedly escaped from Missouri.
Sallisaw officers made contact with 27-year-old
Shawn Taylor Watie of Stillwell, Oklahoma. Watie came after the officers
with a weapon, which was a knife, at which point Watie was shot by the
officers.
The two Sallisaw officers rendered aid on Watie until EMS arrived. He
was transported to Northeastern Sequoyah Health Center where he died.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy, and
the OSBI is still investigating.

Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty ADAIR COUNTY 21 | APRIL 2019
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to recognize that we each can play a part in promoting the social and
emotional well-being of children and families in communities.
Parenting is one of the toughest and most important jobs
in America, and we all have a stake in ensuring that parents
have access to the resources and support they need to be successful. Entire communities play a role in helping families find
the strength they need to raise safe, healthy, and productive
children.
Here are some things you can do:
Get to know your neighbors. Problems seem less overwhelming when support is nearby.
Help a family under stress. Offer to babysit, help with chores and errands, or suggest
resources in the community that can help.
Reach out to children in your community. A smile or a word of encouragement can mean
a lot, whether it comes from a parent or a passing stranger.
Be an active community member. Lend a hand at local schools, community or faithbased organizations, children’s hospitals, social service agencies, or other places where
families and children are supported.
Keep your neighborhood safe. Start a Neighborhood Watch or plan a local “National
Night Out” community event. You will get to know your neighbors while helping to keep your
neighborhood and children safe.
Learn how to recognize and report signs of child abuse and neglect. Reporting your
concerns may protect a child and get help for a family who needs it.

Eleven Muskogee Individuals Indicted In Drug Conspiracy;
State Charges Filed Against Additional 29 Defe ndants
Muskogee residents Christopher Michael Whitaker Sr. a/k/a “Unc”,
age 44; Devin Trevon Whitaker, age 19; Torrell Dshaun Bogar a/k/a “T
Real”, age 21; Aaron Oneal Bogar a/k/a Aaron Oneal Wilson, a/k/a “AB”,
age 19; Drew Alexander Ragsdale a/k/a “Drew Down”, age 21; Jason
Douglas Lee a/k/a “J Rock”, a/k/a “Douglas Fresh”, age 33; Cornelious
Joshua Jones a/k/a “Corn”, age 30; Jasmine Dazha McCoy, age 23;
Alison Rachel Morgan, age 28; Derrick Christopher Segue, age 26; and
Klawaun Lynell Sutton a/k/a “O.G.G.”, age 38, were each indicted for
Drug Conspiracy, punishable by not less than 10 years imprisonment,
and up to a $10,000,000 fine, or both. The same investigation that lead
to these indictments also lead to state charges being filed against an
additional 29 defendants by the Muskogee County District Attorney’s
Office. Those defendants are charged with various drug-related and
communications offenses.
The Indictment alleges that beginning on a date in June 2017, the
exact date being unknown to the Grand Jury, and continuing until on or
about the date of this Indictment, C. Whitaker, Sr., Jones, D. Whitaker,
T. Bogar, A. Bogar, Lee, Ragsdale, Sutton, Segue, McCoy, and Morgan,
did willfully and knowingly combine, conspire, confederate, and agree
together, and with others known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to
commit offenses against the United States.
In addition to Drug Conspiracy charges, Lee is charged with five
counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine, with punishment ranging
from not less than 10 years imprisonment to not more than life imprisonment, up to a $10,000,000 fine, or both. Lee is also charged with one
count of Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, punishable
by not more than 10 years imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine, or both.
D. Whitaker is additionally charged with two counts of Distribution of
Methamphetamine, punishable by not less than 5 years and not more
than 40 years imprisonment, up to a $5,000,000 fine, or both.
Ragsdale is additionally charged with one count of Felon in Possession of Firearm and Ammunition, punishable by not more than 10 years
imprisonment, up to a $250,000 fine, or both.
A. Bogar and Jones are additionally charged with one count each of
Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine, punishable by
not less than 5 years and not more than 40 years imprisonment, up to
a $5,000,000 fine, or both.
Jones, Sutton, Segue, McCoy, and Morgan are also additionally
charged with Conspiracy to Tamper with a Witness, by conspiring to
intimidate, threaten, and corruptly persuade another person with the
intent to cause and induce any person to withhold testimony from an
official proceeding.
The charges arose from a joint investigation by the Federal Bureau of
Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, the Muskogee County Sheriff’s
Office, and the Muskogee Police Department. Additionally, many different agencies that are members of the DEA High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Task Force (“HIDTA”) and the FBI Safe Trails Task Force
played important roles in the investigation.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester said, “The United States Attorney’s Office values the working relationships that we have with our
federal, state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners, and that they
have with each other. Without those strong relationships and commitments to work together for the common cause of public safety, operations like this one would not be possible. I am thankful for the men and
women from the nearly 20 agencies that participated in the investigation and today’s efforts to arrest those who have been charged.”
Muskogee County Sheriff Rob Frazier said, “Today’s arrests represent
the ongoing efforts of the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office to make
Muskogee County a safer place for all. Sheriff Frazier states his office
will continue to combat drug distribution in Muskogee County through
the strong alliances built with local, state and federal law enforcement
during this year-long investigation.”
District 15 District Attorney Orvil Loge said, “While certain types of
drug possession charges have been reduced, minimized or decriminalized, punishment for major drug crimes has not. Drug traffickers, dealers and distributors make their living off providing drugs to our loved
ones by feeding their drug addiction. They are the root of the addiction
problems that have plagued our county for far too long. My office will
ensure these individuals will receive the utmost attention and highest
priority of prosecution.”
