After Pauls Valley man Gregory Dwayne Harmon,
54, was booted from a residence for being weird, he later returned to dig up the yard despite officer commands
to stay away.
On December 5, a Pauls Valley officer was dispatched
to the 700 block of East Wagner shortly after 7 p.m. A
woman at the residence said Harmon was there and
had been making everyone feel very uncomfortable, according to the police report. She wanted the man to be
given a trespass warning for her residence and to be escorted off of her property.
The officer told Harmon to stay away from the woman’s house – he agreed not
to go back. He must have had his fingers crossed behind his back when he made
that promise because the officer was sent back to the area the next day.
The officer received the call at approximately 4:48 p.m. Harmon was back at
the residence, and this time, he brought a shovel. The woman told the officer Harmon was digging up her front yard. She said she did not give the man permission
to dig up the yard or even be at her house.
The officer made contact with Harmon who was just digging away. The police
report didn’t offer an explanation as to why the man thought he needed to bring
a shovel and start digging, but it didn’t matter. The officer placed the man under
arrest and transported him to jail.
Harmon is being charged with malicious injury to property under $1,000. He
was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court
on January 6, 2016.

Tifani P: I think 263 years is a little crazy.. Yes he
did very wrong. But you rape 36 women and got that many years. A military man
from where I’m from abused a baby until he later died and he got 15 years for child
abuse. Like what??? Are you serious. He is a very sick man and deserves time. But
that’s almost 3 life sentences... Priorities need to be set. A child can’t protect themselves, and neither can a woman.
Leslie B: Unfortunately, he will be segregated from the general prison population because he was a cop. If they had to worry about “prison justice” & being
afraid to close their eyes to sleep, perhaps a law enforcement officer might think
long & hard about abusing his or her authority…
Jim S: Law enforcement are suppose to keep a higher standard of living. If a
person is charged with a crime against a law enforcement official that crime penalty use generally more severe. The same standards should be equal for the trust
in the person enforcing the law is lost. So their penalty should also be be greater.
Lacie W: I think it’s odd that he was only charged on 18 out of 36 charges,
I also think it’s wierd that he forced that many women to do oral on him.... I’m
pretty sure if I was forced to do that id be biting as hard as possible. I’m not saying
he didn’t do the things he is being accused of but I do have a feeling a lot of women
jumped on the bandwagon on this.
Cynthia A: Cops are the biggest criminals out there, glad he is getting
his!!! I am praying karma over a cop in gravette arkansas , that little 5 foot, black
haired bastard. When he gets his I wanna see it!! I had an old Indian pray for him
something special.

Eric R: As a retired police officer, I think he abused his power. He deserves
a little jailhouse justice.
Michael S: This cop is a shining example of why the public does NOT trust
the police. As a whole...The police would tell you that the actions of a few should
not cast a shadow on all the rest.. This IS a SYSTEMIC problem and will NEVER
go away as long as the police are allowed to police themselves. Personally I feel
that 263 yrs is over the top for a punishment for the corrupt activiety that this cop
ingaged in. It’s almost like a cartoon sentence. As a tax payer It just dosen’t seem
fair to pay for his incarceration for the rest of my life. I would feel better about all
this if he were only sentenced to say 5 yrs in prison... REAL hard time in general
population like a REAL criminal. The catch to the short sentence would be that he
gets to be raped against his will 263 times before his 5 yrs are up to get out. Then
be able to get out and work and live with a moniter on his ankle for the rest of his
life…

Jim W: The fact that he was acquitted on a few charges shows that the jury
looked at every bit of the evidence. Good verdict.

should be held to higher standards when they break the law.

what he did but I’m pretty sure those ladies offered it and he took it . Again he was
wrong but he shouldn’t have gotten that tha harsh of a punishment.

Melissa A: This verdict signls to all cops that there ARE consequences to
their actions regardless of their badge.
Vaden M: He did the crime, he did the time and needs to rot in jail. Regardless of what his job was or how decorated his uniform was. He was found
guilty and was proven guilty. There’s many great cops, and there’s bad ones, too.
He was one of the bad ones.

officers out there that are doing or have done the same thing. Believe me hes not
the only one. It makes you scared to trust the law inforcement. He needs put away
for good.

When a mugger tried to rob her friend, 92-year-old Eileen Mason just
had her mobility scooter – and her no-nonsense attitude.
Eileen and 75-year-old Margaret Seabrook, both from Swindon, Wiltshire, England, were returning home from a lunch club meeting when a
thief appeared from behind a fence and eyed up the contents of Margaret’s basket.
But the robber didn’t know who he was dealing with.
‘Oh no you don’t!’ was Eileen’s battle cry as she accelerated on her
scooter.
The would-be thief ‘went flying’, said Eileen, who has four children, 10
grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
‘We went through the war and all the bombings. We won’t let a weasel
like that hold us back.’
Crocs plastic shoes left tread marks that helped link a 22-year-old
Fairbanks man to downtown burglaries, authorities said.
The owner of a building where some break-ins occurred provided surveillance footage to police, who posted it on the department’s Facebook
page. Roland Huntington Grace name was among several mentioned by
tipsters, according to authorities.
According to the court documents, Grace wore Crocs during a police
interview and the shoes matched the tread pattern found at the scene.
Grace faces charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in connection with the burglaries reported earlier this month, the Fairbanks Daily
News-Miner newspaper reported.
Online court records don’t have an attorney listed for him. Charging
documents say Grace admitted to the burglaries.
The owner of The Crepery reported on April 1 that someone stole about
$400 from a cash register after breaking into the restaurant. A minister
at the Church of Christ reported April 2 that someone stole about $30
after prying open several locked doors. Another burglary at The Crepery
was reported April 3, with $5 in change taken. A worker at the art gallery
across the hall told responding police that there was a burglary at that
shop as well, and that $1,000 of artists’ jewelry was taken.
According to authorities, two necklaces matching the description of
jewelry taken from the gallery were recovered from Grace.

A homeless man has been charged with property destruction after police discovered a 15-foot-deep cave they say he
dug in a public park.
Yosue Joel Rios, 25, was arrested Dec. 13 after police in
Fairfax, Virginia found a man-made cave in Van Dyck Park.
The painstakingly created home about 200 yards behind the
headquarters of the City of Fairfax Police Department headquarters was discovered about 4:10 p.m. by people walking
through the woods. The entrance was covered with plywood
and leaves, police said.
"I haven't seen anything like it," police spokeswoman Sgt.
Natalie Hinesley said.
Video shot by police shows steep steps leading to a splitlevel home of sorts. On one end of the cavern was a bedroom;
on the other was a sunken living room. Inside, officers found
books and papers that looked like homework assignments.
"He was studying several topics, from what it looked like," Hinesley said, noting officers
found English language manuals. "He had an alphabet written out with the sounds."
He also appeared to be a student of the Bible, police said, and had carved into the cementlike walls the word " Adullam", the name of a cave where David hid from the King of Gath.
Staff members at the nearby nonprofit The Lamb Center said they knew Rios well and that
he had just been there on Saturday for Bible study.
Officers also found inside a spade, a trowel and a pick ax, photos show.
Rios wasn't at the home he created when police entered and began to dismantle it. When
he returned and said he lived inside, he was arrested and charged with destruction of property. Police said he also was wanted for failure to appear in court after a traffic charge in
Arlington County. He was ordered held without bond.
By Monday afternoon, county crews had filled in the cave with dirt. It wasn't clear how long
Rios had lived inside.
At last count, about 1,200 homeless people lived in Fairfax County.
A visitor to Van Dyck Park on Monday, Fareed Naimi, said he admired Rios.
"More power to him. He did something that most people don't do," he said. "He actually
took a step to change his life and made his own little home where he could study."

A Ryan man is in trouble after he allegedly stole a mandolin and an amplifier
from a relative’s property in December.
Timothy Collin Little, 32, admitted to
taking the items and pawning them in
Durant.
According to the affidavit, a Marshall
County deputy was dispatched to the
5400 block of McDuffee Road on December 10 to take a burglary report. The victim said some stuff had been stolen from
his storage building, and he had a hunch
about who the culprit was. He said his
sister-in-law and her son, identified as
Little, were staying on the property.
A building on the property contained some of his personal belongings and someone apparently helped himself to his treasures. The
victim discovered that his mandolin, a bass guitar and an amplifier
were missing.
Little’s girlfriend told the victim that her man and his friend stole
the items.
The victim said Little was currently residing at the Marshall County Jail. The deputy went to the jail, where Little was already conveniently locked up, and asked him about the robbery. Little admitted
to stealing the mandolin, and he said he pawned it at a shop in Durant. He told the deputy that his friend took the bass and pawned it
in Sherman, Texas.
The deputy reached out to the Durant Police Department and
asked an officer to check local pawnshops for the items. After checking around, the officer informed him that Little pawned the mandolin and the amplifier at pawnshops in Durant.
Little is being charged with burglary in the second degree. His
bond was set at $12,500.

Assaulting a friend is never a good idea, but you
probably shouldn’t do it right in front of a cop.
57-year-old Sally Ann Anderson was arrested when
she did just that. The Norman woman allegedly strangled her friend while in the presence of a police officer
on December 4.
According to the affidavit, a Norman officer as dispatched to the 5500 block of E. Franklin Road to investigate a disturbance. Anderson and her husband
were arguing when the officer arrived. He calmed
them both down, and the woman went inside.
The officer tried to talk to the husband about what
had happened, but Anderson wasn’t so calm after all.
He could hear her yelling inside the house. Anderson and two of her friends (who
lived with the couple) came walking out of the house.
Anderson was trailing the group, and she and the friends were yelling at each
other. Anderson’s husband told the friends to go to his vehicle and he would take
them away from the house.
Before they could leave, the female friend turned around and said something
to Anderson. The officer couldn’t hear the woman, but whatever it was, it really
pissed Anderson off. She started yelling again and put both of her hands around
the other woman’s throat.
As much as she would have probably liked to, Anderson didn’t get a chance to
strangle her friend. The officer quickly placed her under arrest and took her to jail.
Anderson is being charged with assault and battery. She was released on a
$2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on January 12, 2015.
