SAVING FACE
A 24-year-old Enid woman was arrested last
month after she lied to police to cover up an affair
she had with a man she met online.
Monica Marie Winsett, was charged July 17
with false reporting of a crime in Garfield County
District Court.
In a press release, Enid Police stated that earlier this year, Winsett reported
being raped by two men, confirming the identity of one of her assailants when
shown a photograph by an officer.
Upon investigation, Winsett’s story she told to responding officers did not
match evidence in the case, what was said by those interviewed and messages
she sent via social media.
When interviewed, Winsett admitted she’d had sex with a man she met online
the night she reported the rape. She said she was ashamed of cheating on her
boyfriend and created the story to save face with him.
Investigative Services Division Lt. Bryan Hart lamented the time and resources
wasted by this false report.
“Even though filing a false police report is a misdemeanor crime, the Enid
Police Department investigates these incidents thoroughly, especially if the false
crime being reported is sexual in nature,” Hart said. “Countless time and resources through the department and medical support were wasted on this completely false and fabricated allegation.”
Bond on the warrant for Winsett’s arrest was set at $20,000.

AROUND THE STATE
ROBBING A STORE WHILE PUSHING A MAN
IN A WHEELCHAIR -- Suspect arrested for
armed robbery
On July 6, around 9:40 a.m., Officers responded to a call of Armed Robbery at Dollar General
near 67th and Peoria.
The store reported that a man, later identified as Alejandro Wilson, came
into the store pushing a man in a wheelchair. Wilson gathered up numerous
items then tried to leave without paying for them.
When the manager confronted Wilson, he began swinging a baseball bat
at her and threatening to kill her. Wilson then left with the stolen merchandise
while still pushing the individual in the wheelchair.
Officers quickly responded, and a Lieutenant spotted Wilson pushing a
man in the wheelchair about a block away from the store. Wilson was carrying about a dozen stolen items from the store.
Alejandro Wilson was arrested for Armed Robbery and Resisting Arrest.
Upon further investigation, Officers determined the man in the wheelchair
was not actively involved in the robbery. He was not arrested.

MURDER IN
KINGFISHER
A Kingfisher man is facing murder charges after a woman was discovered stabbed to death
in at a local motel.
According to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), on August 3, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was requested to assist the Kingfisher
Police Department with a homicide investigation. Around 4:15 p.m., officers
responded to the Cattlemen’s Inn Motel, near West Broadway Avenue and
South Main Street, in Kingfisher. Upon arrival, they found a deceased adult
female inside the motel. The victim had suffered injuries that were consistent
with a homicide.
Court information stated she died from multiple stab wounds to her torso.
Officers also learned she was residing with 38-year-old Joseph Hayslip.
The Kingfisher Police Department located Hayslip and he was later interviewed by OSBI special agents. Based on evidence and information obtained, Hayslip was arrested and booked into the Kingfisher County Detention Center on a First-Degree Murder complaint.
Hayslip is schedule to next appear in court on August 29. TYLER

AGE MATTERS
Felony charges were filed last month against a
Kingfisher man who allegedly was talking dirty to
several minors.
According to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), the OSBI Internet Crimes Against
Children unit, along with the Kingfisher Police Department, arrested 41-year-old Bryan Tollison for soliciting sexual conduct to minors.
On June 9, 2023, the Kingfisher Police Department received a tip regarding Tollison.
Their investigators determined that he engaged in sexual conversations with multiple
minors.
On July 24, the OSBI and Kingfisher Police
Department executed a search warrant at
Tollison’s residence. He was interviewed and
later arrested on charges of Soliciting Sexual
Conduct or Communication With a Minor by
Use of Technology. Tollison was booked into
the Kingfisher County Jail.
Bond for Tollison was set at $50,000 and he
was ordered to next appear in court on August 29.
OBN K9 Interdiction Unit intercepted a shipment of 1/2 kilo of pressed
fentanyl, 1/2 kilo of fentanyl pills, 1/2 pound of marijuana and three guns
being moved from Arizona into northeast Oklahoma. Two people are in
custody and this investigation is on-going. You can anonymously report
criminal drug activity by sending a DM to OBN via Facebook.

AROUND THE STATE
A young woman with a violent past is facing several felony charges in Grady County after she allegedly
caused a lot of damage in her wake trying to escape
law enforcement.
Rochelle May High, 21, of Rush Springs, formerly of
McAlester, was charged July 5 with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on police officer, and attempting to escape from arrest or detention, in
Grady County District Court.
A press release by Graddy County Sheriff Gary Boggess state that on July 1, at around
2:15 p.m., deputies were called to Rush Springs to help assist with a female prisoner,
later identified as High, who had slipped out of her cuffs and attempted to steal a patrol
unit. In the process, she ran over a Rush Springs police officer. She then smashed into
her own car with the patrol unit and wrecked the patrol car.
Seems this has been a bad year for High. She is facing multiple felonies in Pittsburg
County for assault and battery on a police officer, endangering others while eluding police
officer, larceny of an automobile, aircraft, or other motor vehicle, DUI, obstructing officer,
and driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked. Those charges were filed April 13
of this year.
On April 25, 2023, she was charged again in Pittsburg County with burglary first degree, malicious injury to property over $1000, and domestic assault and battery.
A protective order was also issued
against her in Pittsburg County on May
17.
“OHP worked the accident and the
Grady County Sheriff’s Office deputies
worked the criminal part of the incident.
The Rush Springs Officer is okay,” said
Sheriff Boggess.
High was transported to the Grad
County Detention Center and booked into
jail. Bond was set at $125,000.
