A Yukon man is dead after he allegedly pulled
out a firearm during a traffic stop in which he was
pulled over for suspicion of driving under the influence on June 5.
According to reports, Mustang officers made
contact with the suspect, 42-year-old Benjamin
Ballard, in a parking lot at SW 59th and Mustang
Road at approximately 6:45 p.m. While officers
were speaking to the man, Ballard pulled out a
gun.
Shots were fired during the incident.
Ballard passed away at the scene.
A firearm was found in the parking lot.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was called to assist with the
officer-involved shooting.
Upon completion of the OSBI investigation, a report will be submitted to
the District Attorney’s Office. The District Attorney will determine whether
or not to file charges.

The Clinton Police Department requested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) assistance after a woman was found murdered in a
camper in Clinton early on June 6.
At 4:27 a.m., a convenience store clerk called
9-1-1 requesting medical assistance for a man
inside the store who appeared to be distressed.
When the ambulance arrived, paramedics encountered 37-year-old Dennis Rigsby. Eventually police
arrived and with paramedics tried to determine why
Rigsby was distressed.
During their encounter, police found the body of
66-year-old Judy Mullin, Rigsby’s mother, inside the
camper the pair was traveling in. There was obvious trauma to her body.
Rigsby was released from prison earlier this month after serving a 17-
year sentence for manslaughter. Mullin had come to Oklahoma from her
home in California for Rigsby’s release from prison.
Rigsby is being detained by Clinton police and will face a First Degree
Murder charge. The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will
determine Mullin’s exact cause of death.

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

BECKHAM COUNTY SHERIFF
DEREK MANNING 108 SOUTH 3RD ST
SAYRE, OK 73644
(580) 928-2121
A Florida man was arrested after trying to shoplift 15 quart-sized bottles of motor oil
and 30 DVDs from a 7-Eleven — by stuffing the items down his pants.
It’s the sort of thing you might not believe unless you saw it yourself. Fortunately (or
not, for the man in question), the heist was captured on store security cameras.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged theft occurred at a 7-Eleven
in Lakeland, Fla.
Polk County Det. Phil Ryan was parked outside the store when he says he looked
through the store window and saw William Jason Hall, 38, stuff bottles of motor oil
down his pants.
“Mr. Hall then dropped several movies from the shelf onto the floor, bent down,
stacked the movies on top of one another, picked them up, and slid them down into his
pants too,” reads a police statement on the department Facebook page.
“Then he waddles like a duck out of the store,” Sheriff Grady Judd with the Polk
County Sheriff’s Office told NBC News 8. “Our detective who is sitting in the car, watching all of this, says to himself, ‘Self, I think I’ll arrest him.’”
The detective then walked Hall back into the store, where he proceeded to empty his
haul: 15 bottles of Pennzoil motor oil, and 30 “Treasure Hunt” DVDs. Oh, and in case
you’re wondering (how could you not be?) the man managed his baggy pants-banditry
by tucking the ends of his pants into large work boots – allowing him to then stuff the
aforementioned motor oil bottles and DVDs.
He was given a charge of petit theft, a misdemeanor, but because this was his third
offense for small theft, the charge was upgraded to a felony.
“Mr. Hall, the next time you need some motor oil and last-minute gifts, please pay for
them,” police said. “That guy in the car outside might just be a plainclothes detective.”
Police say Joseph McInnis III, 21, and Tyree McCoy, 22, attempted to stage an armed
robbery at a pub in Woodlawn, Md. There was just one problem: the bar was hosting
a retirement party for a police officer and so was filled to the brim with off-duty cops.
“I’m sure that they weren’t planning on there being a large room filled with police
officers,” Baltimore County police Officer Jennifer Peach told WBAL-TV.
According to police, the two men entered the take-out area of Monaghan’s Pub in
Woodlawn and held up an employee at gunpoint, demanding cash.
Meanwhile, dozens of Baltimore County police officers had converged on the pub to
celebrate the retirement of Sgt. David Neal, a 29-year veteran of the force.
“At that time, the person who had been behind the counter knew that there was a
retirement party for a police officer happening, so they went into the other portion and
alerted the officers to the fact that they had just been involved in an armed robbery,”
Peach said.
The two men fled the bar on foot but didn’t make it far before they were apprehended
by police. Neither police nor any employees of the bar were injured during the robbery
or subsequent foot chase.
Jack Milani, the owner of Monaghan’s Pub, told the Baltimore Sun that he’s surprised
anyone would consider robbing his establishment, a known hangout for off-duty cops.
“It’s kind of odd you would even attempt it,” Milani said. “[Police officers] are always
in here. There was a decent amount of them.”
The two men were charged with armed robbery and possession of a handgun, and
transported to the Baltimore County Detention Center.
A bank robbery suspect in Gwinnett County, Ga., is accused of making a crucial
mistake following his alleged crime — he let his identity be known.
Eric Rivers was arrested in connection with a spree of bank robberies in Lawrenceville, Ga. after he appeared in an on-camera interview with a local news station for an
unrelated story about public transit.
Lawrenceville police say Rivers was suspected of having just robbed a Chase Bank
and was believed to be in the midst of casing several other banks when he agreed to
the interview with the WGCL-TV reporter.
“You see, when you accept an interview and provide them with your real name it actually makes our job too easy,” a statement from the Lawrenceville Police Department
read.
Rivers removed his hat and du-rag, which he is alleged to have worn during the robberies based on security camera images released by police.
Authorities say after the interview, Rivers proceeded to scope out a Fidelity Bank in
the area.
As police investigated the reported robberies, a bank manager said the suspect
walked towards the WGCL news truck after leaving the building.
Police followed up the lead and was provided Rivers’ name by the news station.
Lawrenceville Police Det. Scott Pendergrass believes the reporter caught Rivers “off
guard” and “surprised” him.
The department offered advice to would-be criminals in a Facebook post. “When
after having robbed several banks and you are at another bank casing the place for an
additional robbery and are approached by a news crew in the parking lot … DO NOT
stop and agree to an interview with said news crew,” the statement read.
Police allege Rivers attempted five robberies in total, but was successful in making
away with money in just two incidents.

Renegade captured in Lawton
Enid man Christopher Michael Carlock, 27,
is facing several felony charges in Beckham
County after he allegedly tied up a man and
beat him in an Elk City hotel room.
According to reports, a video post on Facebook showed the victim beaten and bloody.
While investigating the incident, Elk City police officers were led to the hotel room, where
they found the injured man tied up to a chair
with zip ties. They were advised that the victim had been beaten with fists and a tire iron.
The culprit? Allegedly, it was Carlock who
beat the victim with the tire iron.
The victim also told police that he had had
ben threatened with having his fingers and
toes cut off with dog clippers. He was taken
to the hospital, where he was treated for broken teeth, cuts and other injuries
to his head and body.
During the assault, Carlock is also being accused of contacting other members of the Aryan Brotherhood. He apparently asked them to bring a tarp to
the hotel room.
In addition to the assault in Beckham County, Carlock was also a wanted
man in other counties.
On June 2, Lawton police officers and members of the U.S. Marshal’s Services identified Carlock and placed him under arrest after a pursuit.
This won’t be his first time in jail – the man has an extensive list of convictions and time spent behind bars.
For the Beckham County offenses, Carlock is being charged with maiming,
conspiracy, kidnapping, assault and/or battery with a dangerous weapon and
gang-related offense. A warrant in the amount of $1M was issued for his arrest on May 28, 2020.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the huge
social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children, taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children receive
public assistance and their parents pay no child support, all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

OSBI OFFERS $5000 REWARD IN 2018
CHOCTAW, OKLA., COLD CASE
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads agents to the persons responsible for the
murder of 35-year-old Eric Trammell.
On August 27, 2018, the Choctaw Police Department requested OSBI
investigate Trammell’s death. He was found on NE 36th Street in Choctaw
and had sustained two gunshot wounds. OSBI agents located video surveillance from the area where he was found and discovered Trammell met
with four men about 30 minutes prior to his murder.
Agents have identified one of the suspects as 20-year-old Jaylen Brown.
Now agents need the public’s help to identify and locate the other three
men. The four suspects arrived together in the same car and were the
ones seen speaking to Trammell before he was shot.
If you have any information about Trammell’s murder or can help identify the men involved, contact the OSBI at (800) 522-8017 or tips@osbi.
ok.gov. YOU CAN REMAIN ANONYMOUS.
The first image (l-r) has been identified as Jaylen Brown. The second
image is of another suspect going into the store. The third image is of two
suspects speaking with Trammell (who has his back to the camera) and
the fourth image is of the vehicle the four suspects arrived in.

31-year-old Andy Rios is facing three sexrelated felonies after he allegedly raped a female inmate while employed as a jailer at the
Kingfisher County jail.
The Guthrie man no longer works for Kingfisher County.
Reports state a woman who had been previously incarcerated at the jail told police that
Rios asked if she was interested in being in
a relationship while she was still in jail. The
woman said Rios threatened her and even
told her that he could pick her daughter up
from school while wearing his uniform with no
problems.
The former inmate accused Rios of raping
her several times and taking pictures of her while she was in the shower.
After the woman was released from jail in the spring, she said Rios started
messaging her on Facebook. Agents with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation received permission from the woman to assume her identity and
talk to Rios on Facebook. She agreed, and agents were able to gather more
evidence against the man.
The investigation led agents to obtain a search warrant and search Rios’
home. The man was arrested on May 5 and booked into the Garfield County
Jail.
Rios is being charged with rape in the second degree, forcible sodomy and
rape by instrumentation. His bond was set at $100,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on August 11, 2020.

Computer interconnectivity has produced enormous benefits, but has also enabled criminal activity that exploits this interconnectivity for financial gain and other malicious purposes, such as
internet fraud, child exploitation, identity theft, and
terrorism. The Internet can give identity thieves,
hackers, and scammers online access to your
computer, financial and personal information and
more. Additionally, today’s mobile devices are well
integrated with the internet and have far more
functionality than mobile phones of the past. They
are increasingly used in the same way as personal computers, potentially making them susceptible to similar threats affecting computers connected to the Internet.
For youths, the internet often serves as a positive and powerful arena for socializing and
learning. However, the use of the internet also brings about risks to their safety, including
the dangers of sexual solicitation, online harassment and bullying, and exposure to illegal
content. By discussing responsible socializing and communicating, parents -- regardless of
whether they are technologically savvy -- can help their kids make better decisions about
online behavior.
Efforts to address cybercrime include activities associated with protecting networks and
information, detecting criminal activity, investigating crime, and prosecuting criminals, . The
Administration has taken significant steps to better protect America against cyber threats and
has developed a pragmatic and focused cyber-security legislative proposal for Congress to
consider. The proposed legislation is focused on improving cyber-security for the American
people, our Nation’s critical infrastructure, and the Federal Government’s own networks and
computers.
June is Internet Safety Month

Alva woman Natosha Jean Faucett, 26, is facing
a felony charge for allegedly writing some checks
on her grandmother’s account – she didn’t have
permission to do that.
According to reports, a woman contacted police around 10 a.m. on March 3 to report the
forged checks. She told an Alva police officer that
she manages her mother’s financial account. The
woman’s mother was Faucett’s grandmother.
The woman said that she and her sister, who
both live in Wichita, Kansas, were the only authorized users on the account besides Faucett’s
grandmother. She told the officer that she noticed
seven different transactions at Walmart. She said
she didn’t write the checks during the transactions, and neither did her
mother or her sister.
Faucett is being charged with forgery in the second degree. Her bond
was set at $1,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court on July 14,
2020.
