THERE'S MORE
Three additional arrests have been made in relation to a
homicide last month and further arrests are expected as the
investigation continues.
Justine Hartfield, 20; Jaheim Hill, 22; and Gabrielle Franco,
20; all of Enid, were arrested on complaints of accessory to
murder on April 16.
Enid Police Department officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired about 10:40 p.m. Thursday, April 10, in
the 900 block of East Maple. Arriving officers found a person
deceased in the back yard of a residence who appeared to
have been shot. That person was identified as 17-year-old
Clayton Rowland, of Enid.
During the course of the investigation, it was determined
Trevion Hartfield, 19, of Enid, was the suspect in the homicide
of Rowland.
A warrant for his arrest on a complaint of first-degree murder was obtained and Hartfield was later taken into custody
in Oklahoma City by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Service.
Detectives learned through the course of their investigation
of the involvement of Justine Hartfield, Hill and Franco to the
incident April 10.
“There are other individuals involved and we are working diligently to determine who they are,” Lt. Bryan Hart said. “If you have any information contact us.”
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are expected.
“Detectives have worked tirelessly and will continue to do so until every individual responsible is taken into custody,” Hart
said.
Those with information can call the Enid Police
Department at (580) 242-7000.
If you wish to remain anonymous, text the keyword EPDTIP to 847411 and text your tip or call
the Garfield County Crime Stoppers hotline at
(580) 233-6233. You may be eligible for a reward
of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.

AROUND THE AREA
The Laverne Police Department requested the
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations regarding a teacher conducting
inappropriate communications with a minor student.
OSBI special agents began their comprehensive investigation and identified the suspect as
25-year-old Brogan Sears, who is a former teacher
and coach at Laverne High School. During the investigation, it was determined that Sears had sent
sexually explicit messages to the student over the last several months.
Based on the information obtained during the investigation, the Harper County District Court issued an arrest warrant for Sears. On the afternoon of April
22, 2025, Sears turned himself in to the Harper County Sheriff’s Office. He was
booked into the Harper County Jail on four counts of Obscene or Indecent Writings and one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. Sears’ bond was set at
$100,000.

SOUTHERN
SHENANIGANS
In New York, you get arrested for defending people on the subway…but in Brevard County, Florida,
you get locked up behind bars for attacking people
in a Subway!!
Clearly this guy, Edward Cocaine, (and yes that’s
his real name) doesn’t know that in Brevard County, if you Mess Around you’re gonna Find Out…the
hard way!! Over the weekend, Cocaine and a friend went to the local Subway for
lunch and were trying to place an order, but ultimately got into an argument with
the employees over what they believed was their bad attitudes. If I was betting,
I would guess they didn’t like the fact that the footlong wasn’t $5 anymore, but
hey, who knows, so let’s get back to the incident!!
Cocaine became so irate with the employees that yelling at them from across
the counter wasn’t enough!! Unable to control his whittle emotions, he decided
to let himself behind the counter where he began to physically push one of them,
and then made an even dumber decision by pulling out a knife!! Yes folks, you
read that correctly, he pulled out a knife and gestured as if he was going to injure
them all because he didn’t like the way they spoke to him and his friend!!
Now on a positive note, Cocaine’s friend made the great decision to try and
intervene by attempting to restrain him and convince him to leave the establishment before anyone got hurt!!
Of course, after some great investigative work by Deputies and Agents, they
were able to identify Cocaine and his friend so that they could interview them
about the situation. According to Cocaine, that was him in the surveillance video
and while his memory of the incident appeared to be a bit off from what Agents
reviewed, he did acknowledge that pulling out a knife crossed the line of what
is appropriate behavior!! I’d say that completely crossed the line and did dumb
stuff that put others lives at risk!!
Well, as you might imagine, Cocaine was arrested for Aggravated Assault (x2),
Burglary with Assault or Battery, and Battery, which as everyone knows, he ain’t
gonna like the service or the attitude of those who work there!! He can, however, get food in a 1-star dining facility that is freshly prepared each day in the jail
kitchen by inmates…sounds just yummy!!

AROUND THE STATE
On April 3, 2025, Agents with the OBN Human
Trafficking Unit arrested Shawn Brownlee, 52, as
part of an ongoing cross-country human trafficking investigation.
“An undercover OBN Agent located an online
commercial sex advertisement for a female which
contained indicators suggesting the female may
be a victim of human trafficking. After making
contact with the female, OBN Agents learned she had met Shawn Brownlee in
California after he responded to one of her commercial sex ads. Brownlee then
transported the victim to Oklahoma in his Semi-trailer with the intent of furthering
and facilitating her commercial sex work.” ---
OBN Spokesman Mark Woodward
OBN Agents located and arrested Brownlee in Oklahoma City on April 3, 2025. He is
currently facing multiple charges, including
Pandering and Maintaining a House of Prostitution. This is an ongoing investigation and
additional charges could be filed in the case.
The female was safely recovered and is receiving victim assistance services.
Citizens and victims can get information or
anonymously report suspected human trafficking by visiting OBN’s ‘You Are Not Alone’

10 | MAY 2025 KINGFISHER COUNTY Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty
RAGIN' CAJUN
A Louisiana woman was taken into custody after
she led law enforcement officers on a three-county chase beginning in Kingfisher County.
Eisha Leondra Marshae Richard, 33, of Opelousas, La., was charged April 9 with endangering others while eluding/attempting
to elude police officer, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and reckless driving, in Kingfisher County District Court.
According to court information, on April 5, a Kingfisher County deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on a silver Toyota Camry that was traveling on
Highway 33 just east of Kingfisher. Instead of stopping, the driver, later identified
as Richard, accelerated to speeds up to 100 mph and was traveling eastbound
in the westbound lane, causing other motorists to serve out of their lane to avoid
a head-on collision with her.
At some point early in the chase, Richard took evasive maneuvers to avoid law
enforcement officers’ attempts to block her vehicle in. In the process, she
struck a deputy with her car, which knocked him to the ground.
Richard continued to elude law enforcement officers as she drove from Kingfisher County into and through Logan County, and into Payne County where she
was apprehended.
The eluding charge is punishable by a fine of $1,000 to $5,000 and/or imprisonment for not less than one year nor more than five years.
The assault charge is punishable by imprisonment for up to 10 years in the
penitentiary or one year in the county jail.
The reckless driving charge is punishable by imprisonment for five to 90 days,
or a fine of $100 - $500 or both. LEVI
