Enid man Jeffrey David Kline, 45, will
have to visit Ronald McDonald and get
his golden arches fix outside of his city
of residence after he allegedly attacked
the restaurant’s owner on November 19.
According to the affidavit, Enid officers
were sent to the business in the 4100
block of W. Garriott at approximately
1:58 p.m. Dispatched advised that a
man and the owner of the restaurant
had been involved in an altercation, and
the suspect had been locked out of the
building.
An officer arrived at the scene and
found Kline standing near the east doors
of the restaurant. He placed the man in handcuffs and asked him what
was going on.
Kline said he was just walking around the business, trying to give
away a stick he had painted, when a man approached him and told
him to stop selling things. Kline told the officer he wasn’t trying to sell
anything -- he was trying to give away the painted stick.
During the confrontation, Kline said the man, who claimed to be the
owner, pointed his finger at him aggressively and told him to get out of
the store. Kline didn’t leave immediately, because he wasn’t sure if the
man was telling the truth about being the owner. He explained that he
“didn’t see the little ‘M’ on his shirt.”
When he refused to leave the store, he said the man put his hands on
his chest, so Kline just went “apeshit” on the man.
The owner of the store said he tried to get Kline to leave, because it
appeared as though he was soliciting inside of the store.
Kline became aggressive toward him and tried to hit him with a large
stick. The two men started fighting, and a witness helped force Kline
outside.
Several other witnesses backed up the owner’s story.
The man said he wanted Kline to be barred from all of the McDonald’s
in Enid. Officers retrieved the weapon, which resembled a tree branch.
Kline is being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. His
bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on
December 19, 2016.

A Palm Beach Gardens man is facing charges that he pointed a gun at another motorist during a road rage incident, according to an arrest report.
If the accusation proves true, then Jack Michael Haberkorn picked the
wrong victim.
The person Haberkorn allegedly threatened turned to be an off-duty Palm
Beach Gardens police officer.
Haberkorn, 22, is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly
weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, improperly exhibiting a firearm and
possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and is being held
in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $81,000 bail.
The road rage incident took place eastbound on PGA Boulevard and began
when a 2014 Volkswagon Jetta driven by Haberkorn cut in front of the off-duty
officer and “continuously” braked hard, the report said.
The officer said she pulled up along the Jetta and said, “Really … really?”
Haberkorn allegedly responded by reaching down and pointing the weapon
out the window and at the woman while stating, “You better watch who the
[expletive] you’re [expletive] with,” the report said.
The officer alerted police and followed the Jetta until it ran a red light at the
intersection of PGA Boulevard and Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue.
Police tracked down Haberkorn and found a loaded .40-caliber Glock in his
possession as well as Xanax and burglary tools inside his vehicle. The off-duty
officer positively identified Haberkorn as the person who pointed the weapon
at her.
Authorities say an assistant principal at a Tampa area high school ended up
going to a hospital and then to jail after she tried some pot-laced cookies for
her 50th birthday.
Pasco County Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Doll says Donna Lynch Haff overdosed Monday on cookies made with cannabis oil.
He says the educator’s daughter, 19-year-old Allison Haff, had obtained the
cookies from a co-worker and brought them home after her mother said she
wanted to try marijuana for her 50th.
Doll says both were released from jail that day and that they were charged
with felony possession of a controlled substance.
It’s unclear if the women have retained attorneys.
School district officials say the assistant principal has been placed on administrative leave from her high school in Holiday.
A woman was arrested after she injured her husband with a sword after an
argument over drugs and their relationship, deputies say.
The Clay County Florida Sheriff’s Office responded Nov. 5 to a home in the
1680 block of Baxley Road in Middleburg.
During an argument, Brandi Oberdeck, 25, threw a wrench at Peter Oberdeck and hit him in the thigh, deputies said.
Peter Oberdeck got a sword, caused damage to the home and dropped the
sword, the report said.
CCSO said Brandi Oberdeck grabbed the sword and struck the victim’s
stomach, forearms and right side.
Peter Oberdeck was taken to Orange Park Medical Center for treatment.
Peter and Brandi Oberdeck have been married for about four years.
Deputies said it appears that they were under the influence of alcohol or
drugs. Deputies found two swords inside the home.
Brandi Oberdeck is charged with aggravated battery. CCSO said she was
placed on suicide watch.

Four hunters were recently found guilty of
illegal hunting practices during an episode of
“Crosshairs”, a hunting show hosted by Kris
and Clay Hair on the Hunt Channel.
Gillette game warden Dustin Kirsch presented the case at the tail-end of the two-day
Wyoming Game and Fish Commission meeting held at the Best Western Sheridan Center
Wednesday and Thursday.
Kirsch went through the facts of the case,
revealing the hunting misconduct of four individuals — two while in Gillette for a hunting
show and two from Oklahoma hunting under Lamb’s address.
The Hairs host a show, “Crosshairs”. Steve Lamb appeared on the show
and allowed the Hairs to hunt in the area. In the show, Kris Hair downs two
antelope with a bow, as well as two cottontail rabbits. She downed the
beasts without an archery license and eventually was fined $125, with an
additional $125 for hunting small game without a license.
Kirsch made contact with Oklahoma Game Warden Mark Murray to help
with the investigation. The two conducted interviews of the folks simultaneously. Lamb is the owner and operator of Northwest Extreme Outfitters,
a fishing tackle company out of Gillette. Lamb was fined $225 for hunting
in the wrong area with the Hairs during the production.
Lamb was also connected to Austin and Richelle Easley. Richelle was
employed by Lamb. In the spring of 2015, Richelle became a field staff
member for Rockstarlette Bowhunting, a female-owned company that
strives to empower women who are passionate about the outdoors and
bowhunting.
Lamb was with Richelle Easley when she shot a buck antelope hours
after Kirsch contacted them. Richelle Easley, out of Oklahoma, was issued
two warnings, was fined $300 for taking a buck antelope without a license
and had hunting privileges suspended one year.
She also left the buck in the field and did not return to retrieve it, costing her $420 in fines, $3,000 restitution to the Wyoming Game and Fish
Department, and hunting privileges suspended for one additional year.
Richelle Easley was forced to forfeit her buck antelope head and cape.
Her now husband, Austin Easley, also hunted in Wyoming under a resident license when in fact the Easleys live in Oklahoma. Austin was issued
three warnings and was fined $790 three times for false statement to procure a resident antelope license, owed three $250 payments of restitution to WGFD and was suspended from hunting, trapping and preference
point privileges for three years. Austin Easley, who also downed a deer,
was fined $400 and $274 of restitution to WGFD for his false statement to
procure a resident general deer license.
The eventual confession from the Easleys came when they contacted
Murray two days after the initial investigative interview.

Alva man Don E. Robins, 55, allegedly
consumed a little too much vodka and attacked one of his relatives on November 19.
He also picked a fight with an inmate while in
a holding cell at the jail.
According to the police report, Alva officers
were dispatched to a residence in the 800
block of Maple at approximately 6:41 p.m.
due to a domestic disturbance. Dispatch
advised that the suspect was threatening to
“whip any law enforcement officer” who went
to the house.
When officers arrived at the scene, they
were met by a woman who said she had
called 911 because a friend was drunk and
had become combative. She said she was scared for her safety, so she
grabbed two 15-pound dumbbells to protect herself. She left the weights
on the back porch.
Officers walked into the residence to find two men engaged in a physical altercation. One of the men, identified as Robins, appeared to be
heavily intoxicated. He refused to follow officer commands, he smelled
strongly like alcohol, and he appeared to have difficulty balancing and
speaking coherently.
The other man was identified Robins’s relative and the owner of the
residence. He told officers Robins became physically violent after consuming a large amount of vodka.
Officers placed Robins under arrest and transported him to jail.
While in a holding cell, the man started fighting with another inmate and
had to be physically restrained by jail staff.
Robins is being charged with acts resulting in gross injury. His bond
was set at $500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December
13, 2016.

Jailbirds.rocks is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma Department of Human Services to impact the
huge social problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they
have a chance at a productive life. Children have the right to get
support from both parents and do not lose this right when a
parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children,
taxpayers often pay the cost of raising children. When children
receive public assistance and their parents pay no child support,
all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

Woodward man Cory Adam Rogers,
28, was locked up shortly after being
released from prison after officers found
a loaded gun, some weed, and some
methamphetamine in his possession on
November 18.
According to the affidavit, Woodward
officers first made contact with the man
shortly after 2 a.m. when they were advised that a male was walking around
the parking lot of an apartment complex
in the 3300 block of 22nd Street, looking
into vehicles.
Rogers told police he was meeting
up with a friend who lived at the apartments. He didn’t know where his friend’s
apartment was, and he wasn’t able to
call him because his phone was dead. He added that he was going to
walk to the store to buy some more minutes for his phone so he could
call his buddy.
One of the officers didn’t believe what Rogers said so he decided to
drive around the corner of 22nd Street and Downs Avenue to see if the
man really went to the store. After about 10 minutes and no sign of the
man, the officer drive back to the apartment complex. As he pulled into
the parking lot at 22nd Street, he saw a vehicle backing out of a parking
spot. The vehicle headed toward the exit where the officer was sitting.
As it got closer, the officer realized that the person sitting behind the
wheel was Rogers.
Knowing from the earlier encounter that the man didn’t have a valid
driver’s license, the officer stopped the vehicle. As he spoke to Rogers,
he noticed a rifle in the passenger’s seat. After securing the loaded firearm, officers placed Rogers under arrest for driving under suspension.
While checking the man’s information, officers were advised that Rogers was a convicted felon who had just been released from prison.
A search of the vehicle revealed a green leafy substance that tested
positive for marijuana, a black mask and a set of binoculars.
During booking, an officer found a clear crystal-like rock in the suspect’s pocket. It tested positive for meth.
Rogers is being charged with failure to maintain insurance or security,
possession of firearm after former felony conviction, possession of controlled dangerous substance-methamphetamine, possession of controlled dangerous substance-marijuana, driving with license suspended
and transporting loaded firearm in motor vehicle. His bond was set at
$30,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on April 18, 2017.

Both State Questions 780 and 781 passed on November 1. Do you think these new
laws will help or hurt our justice system?
To refresh your memory:
State Question 780 would reclassify certain offenses, such as simple drug possession
and property crimes, as misdemeanors rather than felonies. The reclassification of the
drug possession offense is intended to be applied to persons who use the drugs, not to
those who are selling or manufacturing the drugs. The measure also would change the
dollar amount threshold for property crimes charged as felonies from $500 to $1,000.
The goal of this measure is to reduce the size of the state’s prison population and to
reduce the amount of state funds being spent on prisons. SQ 780 proposes to change
Oklahoma statutes, not the constitution.
SQ 781 would create the County Community Safety Investment Fund. That fund would
hold any cost savings achieved by reducing numbers of people incarcerated—a decrease
resulting from reclassifying certain property crimes and drug possession as misdemeanors. The new In-vestment Fund would be a revolving fund not subject to fiscal year limitations. Any savings or averted costs would be calculated by the Office of Management and
Enterprise Services.

Molly E: Lmao y’all acting like our current system is working. Mental health issues
and trauma are the driving forces behind drug abuse. Just locking addicts up won’t help
the cause of the problem. Making them felons just guarantees that they won’t be able to
get a decent paying job to try and turn their lives around and will be stuck in a vicious cycle
of poverty and drug abuse
Adam C: Mental health issues and trauma? Funny. Majority of people I used to know
that are druggies didn’t have mental health issues. They made the decision to do drugs
and got hooked. I work with adults with legitimate mental health issues and not one of
them are like that. Maybe instead of making excuses for them let them take responsibility
for their actions.
Colton B: Can’t do the time,don’t do the crime.addiction is not a disease.its a
choice
Skylar L: It’s going to be bad, very bad. Those who say it won’t make a difference
must have a cushy little job not in Law Enforcement. Smh
Judy H: No cushy job! House wife, mother, grandmother and raising my grandchildren! Just saying ! Skylar L and no my husband is self employed and we have to work and
save for everything we get.
Amy W: I found it interesting that those so opposed were linked to the money side.
Felony charges for simple possession is a positive change.
Michael M: Let’s see... you steal $800 worth of stuff to buy drugs and get caught
with drugs you’re using (and not enough to “distribute”) and both are misdemeanors.
Yeah, that’ll help reduce crime.
Jessie V: They are going to be very bad. The current system isn’t necessarily working but the hidden items in these two bills are going to make things a WHOLE lot worse.
And seriously, who do you guys think is going to pay for this? The state and the feds are
react-text: 392 ... /react-text See More
Ann B: it will make crime worse . now they can have a small amount of drugs and
get a slap on the wrist again no matter how many times they are caught. The liquor one
made it easier for people to shop lift booze with alcohol content. it will be easier for kids
to steal from Walmart.
Norm S: Forget “small” amounts - they can have LARGE amounts (up to 19g of
METH!) and get a ticket and walk away. 780 will have the same effect that the identical
Prop47 had on California. It WILL make crime go up. 780 passed because of the ignorance of voters who think that people actually go to prison for the crimes addressed by
780. 780 was nothing more than a money grab by Kris Steele and his “ministry” - to divert
state money to their pockets tax free.
Candace L: My hope is it will help people who do turn their lives around obtain
gainful, legitimate employment by not having a felony on their record. Probably not a popular opinion here. 🙈
Britny E: I agree
Donna P: You send people prison in hopes they come out and become a productive member of society. They come out as felons (I’m speaking on nonviolent crimes...drug
addictions etc.) Then they have trouble with employment ..insurance...(car insurance runs
background checks) apartments or housing ....the list goes on and on. They continue to
pay for their past. (Even though they have been to.prison and paid their debt to society)
mental health issue do not get resolved in the prison system..they keep them medicated
to not have to deal with the issues. It is a vicious cycle. I agree Molly E. Prisons are at
max capacity because u have low crime assisted inmates in there doing 10..15..and 20
years and petty crimes. Child molesters very rarely get sent to prison and if they do its for
a lot less time. There needs to be more resources to help with mental health issues and
drug addictions that’s affordable. There needs to be more resources for people who have
been incarcerated and especially for the ones that’s been in for 10..15..20 years . Not just
thrown out with no where to go or no resources. Most people being released (not all but
most) only want a second chance to prove themselves.
William D: This will be a complete mess. Jails and prisons are at max capacity now
with the crimes being a more severe punishment. You’re making these crimes a slap on
the wrist. The question should have only been about possession, now you’re going to see
petty theft and robbery skyrocket seeing as how there is no real punishment.
Charley E: This will put more druggies out on the street. So it kinda depends if you
think druggies are safe or if they’re dangerous, to answer your question.
Carl L: All the criminal love this vote. Now they get a ticket for stealing your stuff and
laugh all the way to the pawn shop with your things to get money to pay the ticket. Then
they can buy drugs and steal more stuff. This is a stupid idea. But to all you who voted for
it guess we’ll wait and see who’s right.
Haley J: I understand that there are some people in jail that severely need drug rehab, but why in the world did they include property crimes on this bill? I work hard for my
money, and for someone to come in and steal up to $1000 worth of my things and get only
a slap on the wrist for it?! That’s awful!
WHAT’S YOUR OPINION ON THIS?

Sweetwater, Texas, man Derick Shane
Jones was locked up in Noble County after a deputy caught him drunkenly speeding down Highway 177 on November 23.
According to the affidavit, at approximately 10:57 p.m., the deputy was traveling northbound on the highway just south
of Old John Deere when he saw a vehicle
driving toward him. He activated his radar, which indicated that the truck was
approaching him at a rate of 91 mph. The
truck also drifted into his lane of traffic as
they passed each other.
The deputy swiftly turned his patrol car
around and watched as the truck continued to swerve all over the road. He activated his emergency lights and brought
the truck to a stop. When he approached
the vehicle, he noticed a very strong smell of alcohol when the driver rolled
down the window.
The deputy asked the man what his emergency was.
The man, later identified as Jones, appeared to be confused and answered, “I don’t know what you mean.”
When the deputy explained he clocked his vehicle traveling 91 mph in
a 65 mph zone, Jones just shrugged and said, “I didn’t know I was doing
that.”
The deputy asked the man to exit the truck and walk toward the front of
the vehicle. Jones staggered more than walked, and he had to hold onto
the truck for support.
The officer told him he wanted to conduct tests to see if he was too
drunk to be driving. Jones replied, “OK, but I don’t know how I’m gonna
do on them.”
He didn’t do very well, and the deputy placed him under arrest.
Officers then conducted an inventory of the man’s vehicle, and they
found an open bottle of whiskey in the backseat.
When they arrived at the jail, Jones agreed to take the state’s test. However, when the deputy brought out the breathalyzer, the man said, “I can
tell you right now, I ain’t gonna blow into that machine.”
Jones is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked, transporting an opened
container of liquor, speeding in excess of lawful maximum limit and improper passing in a no passing zone. He was released on a $1,500 bond
and is scheduled to appear in court on December 15, 2016.

A Dover man was locked up for suspicion of DUI and a loaded weapon after an
officer saw him swerving all over the road
on November 24.
According to the affidavit, a Hennessey
officer was traveling east on Conoco Road
at approximately 8 p.m when he saw a
yellow truck in front of him. He watched
as the truck crossed the centerline of the
roadway three times.
The officer stopped the vehicle at the
corner of Conoco Road and Mitchell. He
approached the vehicle and made contact with the driver, who was identified as
36-year-old Mario Herrera.
Herrera smelled like alcohol, his eyes
were watery and bloodshot, and he was
speaking in slurred speech. The officer noticed an open bottle of beer in
the center console of the vehicle. When the officer asked to man to step
out of truck, Herrera was unsteady on his feet.
The officer searched the man and found a loaded revolver in a black
holster on Herrera’s hip. He secured the weapon and put the man in his
patrol car.
After checking Herrera’s information through dispatch, he was advised
that the man didn’t have a state driver’s license. The officer placed Herrera under arrest and transported him to jail.
Herrera is being charged with driving a motor vehicle while under the
influence of alcohol, carrying firearm while under the influence, transporting opened container of beer and driving without a driver’s license. He
was released on a $3,750 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on
January 19, 2017.

An Okeene man was arrested after he

50-year-old Tim Duane Lagan later admitted to drinking alcohol and taking an Ambien before getting in the driver’s seat of his
car.
According to the police report, a state
trooper was dispatched to a one-vehicle
accident accident on Homestead Blacktop and CR58 shortly after 10 p.m. He was
advised that a vehicle had driven through a
fence, but on one had been injured.
When the trooper arrived on scene, he
saw a black car sitting in a field. A deputy
was speaking to a man whom he identified

The driver, identified as Lagan, told the trooper in slurred speech that
his driver’s license was in his vehicle. The man also had red, watery eyes
and was unsteady on his feet. He stumbled several times as he led the
trooper to his car.
Lagan and the trooper were unable to locate the man’s driver’s license
or an insurance form. The trooper checked the man’s information and
was advised that his driver’s license was suspended out of Virginia.
The trooper asked the man what happened prior to the incident. Lagan
said he was taking his dog for a drive and he got lost. He approached a
“T” intersection and failed to stop, driving through the fence.
When the trooper asked him if he had been drinking, Lagan admitted to
consuming “4 or 5” beers. He also said he had taken an Ambien before
leaving his house.
The trooper attempted to administer sobriety tests, but he had to stop
for Lagan’s safety -- the man was unable to balance and nearly fell down
during the walk-and-turn test.
He then placed the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
The state’s test revealed that the man’s BAC was .10, which was more
than the legal limit.
Lagan is being charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to maintain security and driving a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s
license. His bond was set at $4,000, and he is scheduled to appear in
court on December 28, 2016.
