Someone in Washington State Donated A
Weed-Filled Cooler Worth $24K To Goodwill
If you have junk you
need to get rid of; Goodwill is the place to go. But
of course, one man’s trash
is another man’s treasure.
A Goodwill in Monroe,
Washington State, received a not-so-ordinary
donation. While sorting
through donations, employees scored a cooler full of weed. Not just a couple
grams, but five whole bags full. Talk about a surprise.
Employees discovered the weed while sorting through donations that day.
So, they decided to call the cops.
Police attempted to track down the cooler’s owner, but the mission was
unsuccessful since they didn’t know if it was donated at this location or at a
Goodwill trailer that sits in another town.
Meanwhile, a lot of people on social media are claiming the cooler is theirs.
According to Debbie Willis of the Monroe Police Department, no one has yet
to fetch it, though.
Believe it or not, pot isn’t the strangest contribution to come through Goodwill’s doors. In fact, people commonly leave the most random of things behind
with their donated goods.
According to Katherine Boury, a spokesperson for Goodwill, employees
once came across three human skulls.
“In 2014, three human skulls were found. We worked with authorities to
track down the origin of the Native American skull for proper burial.”
Two of the skulls had been used for medical research, while the other one
was a Native American skull that was more than 100 years old.
So, what’s the pending date of the donated cannabis? According to Willis,
it’s only a moment of time before it goes to waste.
“It’s sitting in our evidence, waiting yearly burn of that type of evidence.”
At the present time, it’s legal in Washington to possess once ounce of cannabis if you’re 21 and over. The donated stash was 60 times over that limit.

A Florida couple arrested for DUI reportedly attempted to have sexual intercourse in the back of the patrol vehicle about to transport them to jail.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, officials said the couple—identified as
35-year-old Megan Lynn Mondanaro and 31-year-old Seth Aaron Thomas—
were seen attempting to disrobe in the back of the Nassau County Sheriff’s
Office squad car. They had been riding bicycles at night without running lights
and reportedly came in close contact with a motorist when a deputy spotted
and stopped them.
Mondanaro was charged with DUI, exposing sex organs, unnatural and lascivious act and resisting without violence.
Thomas was charged with threat against a public official, unnatural and lascivious act, exposing sex organs and DUI.
Both Thomas and Mondanaro reportedly have lengthy criminal records.
A man who reportedly claimed to be a police officer during an argument with
an employee of a strip club in Waverly, NE—a suburb of Lincoln— now faces
criminal charges of making terroristic threats and impersonating a police officer.
According to the Lincoln Journal Star, Capt. John Vik of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said the man—identified as 26-year-old Keith Charles Urban—had been causing a disturbance at the Shakers Gentleman’s Club and
was being escorted from the building when Urban claimed to be a police officer
armed with a handgun.
An employee told deputies that during the confrontation, Urban drew what
appeared to be a Glock from his waistband and pressed it against the employee’s midsection.
Vik said the man then fled in a vehicle but was apprehended at a vehicle stop
shortly thereafter. Inside the vehicle, deputies reportedly found a CO2 BB gun
that looked like a handgun.
A New York man was arrested after he allegedly tried to pull over a van full of
police detectives.
According to Fox News, the man—identified as 25-year-old Valiery Portlock—reportedly activated emergency lights and sounded an air horn as he
attempted to pull the van over in the Long Island town of Hicksville.
When the occupants of the van—members of the Nassau County Police Department’s electronics squad—identified themselves, Portlock reportedly fled
the scene. He was later arrested by highway patrol and charged with criminal
impersonation, reckless endangerment, and fleeing the police.
A knucklehead Ohio bank robber slipped a teller a hold-up note — with his
name and address scrawled on it, officials said.
Michael Harrell, 54, entered a US Bank branch in Cleveland and passed the
not-so-discreet note, the FBI said.
“When the teller took the note, and looked at it and looked at the other side,
she saw his name, he had used a note that he had used earlier at the [Ohio
Bureau of Motor Vehicles] and it had his name on it,” FBI Special Agent Vicki
Anderson told news station WIVB.
The teller reportedly complied with his demand and handed Harrell $206
before calling the authorities.
“She actually even referred to him as Michael. Gave him the money and called
him Michael and then notified law enforcement,” Anderson said.
Harrell, who was a frequent customer, has been arrested in the robbery, CNN
reported. It’s unclear if charges have been filed against him.

Jacob Rhett Holland, 26, of Burneyville, was
sentenced to 30 months’ imprisonment and three
years of supervised release for Felon In Possession Of Firearm. The charges arose from an investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife
and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and
Explosives.
The Information alleges that on or about March
10, 2019, Holland, who had been convicted of a
crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year, knowingly possessed in and affecting commerce, a firearm, an SKS 7.62 x 39
mm caliber semi-automatic rifle, which had been
shipped and transported in interstate commerce.
United States Attorney Brian J. Kuester said, “Federal law prohibits previously convicted felons from possessing guns. Enforcing federal firearm
statutes is an effective way to assist state and local law enforcement agencies in their ongoing efforts to combat and reduce violent crime. We are
committed to continuing our relationships with those agencies and the
use of federal resources to help carry out our top priority – protecting the
public.”

We often receive calls asking if there is a price to keep
someone out of our publication. The short answer to that
question is NO! OK Jailbirds has never accepted money
or favor to not publish a photo.
We hear many times from people that the arresting officer of someone at the jail told them all they have to do
is pay us money and we will not publish their photo. This
is NOT true. We feel that taking money in exchange for
not publishing an arrest photo is extortion and, as such,
should be a crime.
There are companies who do take money to remove a
person’s arrest information. OK Jailbirds never has and
never will. If an arrest doesn’t make our paper, it is only
because we didn’t receive it or we didn’t have a photo we
could match up.
Thank you and God Bless

Wanna-be robber should seek
new profession
A 22-year-old wanna-be bank robber was
locked up after a local citizen saw him trying
to make a getaway with cash in hand.
Reports state Healdton man Zachary Gage
Pebley allegedly went to the Bank of the West
in Ardmore and robbed it at gunpoint at approximately 2:15 p.m. on October 15. He
escaped the bank premises with an undisclosed amount of money and ran away from
the property on foot.
A man who was in the area heard a woman
yelling and motioning toward Pebley, who
was running with the money in his hands.
The citizen, thinking maybe Pebley had just
stolen the woman’s purse or something, ran
after Pebley.
Pebley was armed with a gun and a knife.
When the citizen caught up to him, he turned around and pulled out the
knife. The man was able to defend himself and knock Pebley to the ground.
Pebley then jumped up and took off running.
The citizen, who lost sight of Pebley due to the thick brush in the area,
alerted officers to the suspect’s general whereabouts.
A K-9 officer was deployed to the scene, and the dog quickly picked up Pebley’s scent. Officers placed the man under arrest and transported him to jail.
Pebley dropped the bag of money during the pursuit, but officers located
the cash and the man’s weapons in the area.
Pebley is being charged with robbery in the first degree. His bond was set
at $10,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on December 12, 2019.

More than 100,000 children and
youth in the U.S. foster care system are awaiting permanent families. National Adoption Month is a
time to raise awareness about the
adoption of children and youth
from foster care.
The Children’s Bureau in partnership with AdoptUSKids and
Child Welfare Information Gateway sponsors the initiative each November as a way to focus public attention on the urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth waiting
in foster care for a permanent family. This year’s focus, “Partnering for
Permanency,” builds on the social media theme from last year. A special
web page on Information Gateway’s website helps child welfare professionals, prospective adoptive parents, and youth partner for permanency.
The website contains resources, stories, and videos on topics such as getting started with social media, how to build a recruitment campaign, and
how social media impacts child welfare and adoption. The website can be
found at http://www.childwelfare.gov/adoption/nam/.

Former parole officer jailed on
rape charges
Former parole officer Tanya Marie Marsh,
43, was jailed earlier this month after she allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with
an Oklahoma Department of Corrections
(DOC) inmate late last year.
According to reports, Marsh’s ex-husband
sent a video to a DOC employee that showed
Marsh and her inmate lover, identified as
John McReynolds, sitting on a couch around
Christmastime.
The video was received by the employee
on February 14. At the time the video was
taken, Marsh was a probation and parole officer, and McReynolds was an inmate with the
Department of Corrections.
DOC employees spoke to McReynolds about the inappropriate romantic
relationship on February 28. He admitted to having intimate physical contact
with Marsh around Christmas 2018. He said both encounters happened at
Marsh’s home in Wayne.
DOC officials also interviewed Marsh about the allegations that same day.
She admitted to having sex with McReynolds while she was employed with
the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Both parties told DOC officials they were aware that their sexual relationship
was inappropriate.
Marsh was placed under arrest on October 15 for two counts of rape in the
second degree. She was released on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to
appear in court on December 4, 2019.
