TURNING A BLIND EYE
Edmond doctor George Samer Alhaj, 51,
is being charged with murder after a 25-yearold woman under his care died on January
21, 2019, due to mixed drug toxicity.
According to reports, investigators believe
Dr. Alhaj may have contributed to the woman’s death by not paying attention to warning
signs of addiction and medication misuse.
Another doctor investigating the incident
determined that Dr. Alhaj continued to prescribe the victim high doses of an addictive
substance and did not bother to get medical records from the woman’s other medical
providers.
The investigating doctor believes that if Dr.
Alhaj had done his due diligence, he would have been informed that other
medical providers were concerned about the woman and the high dose of
opioids she was taking.
The doctor also believed that although Dr. Alhaj noted that pain therapy was
not the underlying cause of the victim’s pain, he did not investigate what was
causing the pain.
Dr. Alhaj was also aware that the patient used marijuana. She tested positive for THC on June 27, 2016.
Alhaj is being charged with murder in the second degree or in the alternative
manslaughter in the second degree. His bond was set at $100,000, and he is
scheduled to appear in court on December 3, 2021.

A missing 27-year-old woman was found – and arrested – after she allegedly broke into a home and
moved a vehicle that did not belong to her.
According to reports, the search started on Thanksgiving morning after Izabella Marina Dunkelberger’s
damaged car was found abandoned in a field near
Foraker. Officers responded to a call the night before
involving a woman matching Dunkelberger’s description. The woman was apparently in some kind of mental distress, but she had left the area when officers
arrived.
Several law enforcement agencies spent Thanksgiving Day searching
for the woman, including the Osage County Sheriff’s Officer, Osage Nation
Police, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and others. Air Evac also assisted in
searching for the woman from the air.
That evening, a homeowner in Osage County reported that someone
had moved their vehicle and broken into the main farmhouse. When officers entered the home to investigate, they found the missing woman.
Dunkelberger is being charged with burglary in the second degree and
loiter in/injure/molest motor vehicle, joy ride. She is scheduled to appear in
court on December 17, 2021, and bond was set at $2000.

Marine veteran single-handedly disarms robber at gas station in Arizona
YUMA, Az. -- A Marine veteran took
matters into his own hands when he
disarmed a robber at a gas station in
Arizona.
Dramatic surveillance video released
by the Yuma County Sheriff’s Department shows the man standing inside
the store near the checkout counter
when two masked robbers come through the entrance behind him.
One of the suspects was armed and came in close contact with the man.
The video then shows the man instantly disarm the suspect, knocking him
to the ground.
The sheriff’s office said the veteran helped detain him until deputies arrived to the scene. Two other suspects got away and remain on the run.
When deputies asked the customer how he was able to take control of
the situation, investigators said he responded saying, “The Marine Corps
taught me not to [mess] around.”

A 36-year-old Tulsa man is facing 11 counts of
burglary for allegedly burglarizing 12 different storage units.
According to reports, Bartlesville officers were
asked to investigate a string of burglaries that were
committed at D&B Mini Storage located in the 900
block of Taylor Lane sometime between March 23
and April 6.
The suspect, Alex Christopher Curtis, allegedly
cut holes in the walls of the storage units. Investigators believe he cut a hole in the roof of one unit, then
cut holes in the sheet metal siding of the other units.
One of the burglary victims reported that Curtis took his deceased wife’s
wedding dress.
Another victim found a cigarette butt on the floor of his storage unit.
DNA on the cigarette butt was analyzed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation. The sample came back as a positive match to Curtis.
Curtis is being charged with 11 counts of burglary in the second degree
and malicious injury to property over $1,000, after after former conviction
of two or more felonies. His bond was set at $75,000, and he is scheduled
to appear in court on December 3, 2021.

The Medical Examiner has determined that the cause
of Cpl. Kyle Davis back in March 2021 was cardiac issues brought on by a struggle he had with an inmate
who refused to get into his cell.
Davis, a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, became involved in an altercation on
March 25 with a violent inmate that was arrested on a
warrant.
An investigation into the incident began by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the District Attorney’s Office, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office,
and the Bartlesville Police Department.
The inmate, Athine Henderson, was arrested as a
result of an ongoing investigation by the Bartlesville
Police Department and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics
and Dangerous Drugs. Seventeen individuals were arrested on March 25 between
6 a.m. and 9 a.m. The suspect was uncooperative and aggressive toward detention staff at the Washington County Detention Center. During a physical altercation
between the suspect and staff members, a deputy sheriff was injured and transported to the hospital, where Davis later died.
Henderson was charged November 9 with manslaughter first degree. Bond was
set at $500,000 and he is being held in the Osage County Jail.
