Ponca City woman Johnny Wileen Leclair, 44, was
arrested on September 7 after she allegedly stabbed a
woman who was sleeping on a couch in the backyard.
According to the affidavit, a Ponca City officer was
dispatched to the 600 block of South Sixth Street
shortly after midnight to speak with the victim. The victim had blood all over her shirt, her head was bleeding,
and she had some minor cuts on her left hand.
She told the officer she was sleeping on a couch in
the backyard of a residence in the 500 block of South
Sixth Street. She said Leclair was in the house.
At some point, the woman said she was woken up by Leclair hitting her on
the head with a stick.
The victim put her hands up to protect herself, but Leclair pulled something
out of her pocket and started poking her with it. The victim said Leclair told
her, “I’m going to kill you.”
A man at the residence was able to separate the women.
The victim said she laid down on another couch for a few minutes before
walking to another house and calling the police.
During the fight, she said Leclair used a pocketknife to stab her.
The officer placed Leclair under arrest and went to the scene of the crime.
A couch in the backyard had blood stains on it. He also found a comb with
some broken teeth and a pointed handle -- he believed that was the weapon
used during the altercation.
The officer interviewed Leclair about the incident at the Ponca City Police
Department. She told the officer that the victim was her cousin, and they
were sitting on the couch talking when her cousin mentioned her sister who
“got ran” over in Tonkawa. Leclair said this upset her, and the two women
started fist fighting and pulling each other’s hair. Leclair said she blacked out
during the fight and couldn’t remember what else had happened.
Leclair is being charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. Her bond was set at $25,000, and she is scheduled to appear in court
on September 23, 2016.

Man arrested in Shawnee, Kansas, Wal-Mart attack
involving Good Samaritans
A suspect was arrested and charged September 13 in
the Sunday attack at a Shawnee Wal-Mart in which two
Good Samaritans intervened.
Shawnee police said 27-year-old Arthur Fred Wyatt III
of Overland Park was charged in Johnson County District
Court with attempted first-degree murder, attempted aggravated kidnapping and attempted aggravated robbery.
A 39-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman who had been
shopping at the Wal-Mart at Shawnee Mission Parkway
and Maurer Road was attacked in the parking lot about
1:30 p.m. September 11. Two men approached her while she was putting her child in
a safety seat, police said. She was struck in the head.
A Good Samaritan tried to intervene, and one of the attackers shot him. A second
Good Samaritan then shot one of the attackers, killing him.
The other attacker escaped on foot. A man who fit that person’s description was
detained but later released.
Wyatt was arrested September 13. Shawnee police spokesman Maj. Dan Tennis
said he could not discuss details of the arrest because the case was now in the hands
of the district attorney.
The Good Samaritan who was shot, a 33-year-old Kansas City man, remained in
serious condition in a hospital September 13. The woman who was attacked was
released from a hospital on September 12.
The attacker who was killed was identified Monday as 28-year-old John W. Simmons
III of Kansas City.

When police in Vancouver, Canada, asked to search Jason Pauchay’s apartment for drugs, he was not a suspect—in fact, they were looking for someone
else. That all changed when they got a look at how his name was listed on his
cell phone: “Jason Pauchay Drug Dealer.”
When Stephan Crane broke into the Ravelli Republic (Montana) newsroom,
he used the computers to watch porn and check Facebook. Then Crane
doused the office with a fire extinguisher, took some candy, and left. It wasn’t
difficult to find him, however; the police just followed the trail of stolen M&Ms
that led to his sister’s place across the way.
As two men waited on line at the coffee shop to pay their bill, a third cut in
front of them. He threw a drink at the clerk, and demanded all the money from
the till. Temporarily surprised, the men quickly recovered and handcuffed the
crook. Apparently in his rush the criminal didn’t notice they were police officers—in full uniform.
In Mesa, Arizona, a home break-in was foiled when the burglar jumped
through the bedroom window—and got trapped in a clothes hamper. Cops
took it from there. (That definitely wasn’t the kind of clean getaway he had
planned.)
Recently, a woman in Fresno, California, was stopped at a DUI checkpoint
for being soused. Ever helpful, she offered up this info: “My husband’s right
behind me, and he’s even drunker than I am.”
A German bank robber sent mocking emails to local police, ridiculing their
efforts to arrest him. First he let them know they had his age, build, and accent
wrong. Then he corrected their announcement that he’d escaped on foot; no,
he had a getaway car! The cops got the last word in, though, when they arrested the guy a few hours later. They used his email to trace him.
A woman in Somerset, Massachusetts, was arrested for breaking and entering. But she was quickly caught thanks to her ankle bracelet … the one fitted
with a GPS system … that she had gotten from the police … for being on
probation from an earlier breaking-and-entering case.

A Hominy man was arrested after he allegedly walked up to a school playground
and pulled down his pants, exposing his junk
to little kids who were outside during recess.
The witnesses, who were all juvenile children, said 22-year-old Dalton Robinson
Faulkner looked at them while his “private
parts” were exposed.
A Hominy officer was dispatched to the
school in the 300 block of East First Street
shortly after 1 p.m. on September 7. According to the police report, several students
needed to speak to a police officer about a
man exposing himself to them from a parking lot across the street from a playground.
The officer spoke to eight traumatized children who all told him the same
account of events. They said they were outside during recess when they
saw a man, later identified as Faulkner, walk up to the side of a truck located across the parking lot from the playground and pull his pants and
boxers down.
All of the kids told the officer they were able to see the man’s “privates.”
One student said Faulkner looked toward the playground while his pants
were down and his genitals were exposed.
Another said she thought Faulkner was trying to “use the bathroom,” but
she could still see his “bad part.”
Faulkner is being charged with indecent exposure. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on September 23, 2016.

Therone Trent Alexander, 40, was arrested on September 8 after officers found several malnourished-looking dogs on his Maramec property.
According to the police report, Pawnee County deputies were dispatched to the man’s residence on E. 5400
Road at approximately 1:54 p.m. to investigate a call
about emaciated dogs on the property. When they arrived, the deputies made contact with a man who identified himself as Alexander. They informed him they were
there to check on some dogs.
Alexander agreed and continued working while the deputies looked at his
animals. The deputies found some very thin dogs inside of a pen who appeared to be afraid and skittish around humans. They also found three dogs
tied to some trees -- they also appeared to be malnourished.
The animals didn’t have any water or food in their dishes.
One of the dogs seemed to stay as far away as he could from the officers.
The animal appeared to be attempting to hide from their view.
The deputies asked Alexander when he last fed the dogs. Alexander said
it had been about a week, but some woman was supposed to have fed
them. He didn’t know the woman’s last name.
A deputy placed him under arrest and transported the man to jail.
A Humane Society representative was contacted to retrieve the animals.
There was a total of nine dogs from the property, three of which were puppies.
During the rescue, some of the dogs were so weak that they were unable
to walk, and volunteers had to carry them to the trailer. All of the animals
were covered in parasites and dehydrated. The Humane Society rep also
said one of the puppies might not survive the rehabilitation treatments.
Alexander is being charged with seven counts of cruelty to animals. His
bond was set at $7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on November 10, 2016.

Bartlesville man Chance Lee Hainline,
28, allegedly pointed a gun at a man’s
chest after the man refused to let him into
his apartment.
Hainline was also on probation when the
incident occurred.
On September 8 at approximately 3:30
a.m., a Bartlesville police officer was dispatched to an apartment in the 300 block
of SW Santa Fe. A man who lived in the
apartment told the officer that Hainline
knocked on the door of his apartment
earlier that morning. When he opened the
door, Hainline tried to come inside, but the
victim wouldn’t let him. When the suspect
realized he wasn’t getting inside the apartment, the victim said Hainline put a gun to the victim’s chest.
The victim was adamant that the man wasn’t coming into his place -- he
told Hainline that he would have to kill him before he came inside. For some
reason, Hainline then handed the gun to the victim.
The victim then let the man come inside the apartment.
While inside, Hainline told the man he wasn’t going to leave without his
gun. So, the victim said he unloaded three bullets out of the firearm, handed
it back to Hainline, then shoved the man out of the apartment.
The officer showed the man a photo lineup -- the victim positively identified Hainline as the suspect.
Hainline is being charged with feloniously pointing firearm and possession
of firearm while on supervision of DOC. His bond was set at $150,000, and
he is scheduled to appear in court on October 21, 2016.
