THAT'S METHED UP!
Pike County, Illinois – On September 5, 2025, at 10:36
p.m., the Pike County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 72
eastbound near mile marker 18. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers discovered that the vehicle’s occupants had fled the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing a male and a female involved in the crash. The witnesses
stopped to provide assistance, but both individuals declined help. A subsequent tow-inventory of the vehicle revealed crack cocaine, heroin, additional controlled substances,
used hypodermic syringes, digital scales, and other drug-related paraphernalia. The occupants did not return to the scene as required by law.
On September 6, 2025, a concerned citizen reported that two individuals had come to
their residence and admitted they had been left alongside the roadway. With the assistance of Pike County Crimestoppers and local residents, deputies located and arrested
both suspects on September 7, 2025.
During the arrest of Matthew G. Lawrence, age 40, of Champaign, Illinois, deputies recovered a loaded handgun. Lawrence was taken into custody on the following charges:
• Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
• Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Wanted on Warrant – Douglas County, Illinois
• Wanted on Warrant – Peoria County, Illinois
Also arrested was Jessica K. Pope, age 28, of Champaign, Illinois. Pope was charged
with:
• Leaving the Scene of an Accident
• Unlawful Possession of a Weapon
• Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
• Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
During the arrest of both
individuals, additional controlled substances and drug
paraphernalia were recovered. Lawrence and Pope
were transported to the Pike
County Jail, where they remain in custody pending a
detention hearing.

INTOLERABLE
INTOLERANCE
Two people were finally taken into custody late
last month after they racially harassed their neighbors almost continuously for the last four years.
According to a press release from the Ponca
City Police Department, on September 30, the
Kay County District Attorney’s Office issued felony warrants for two Ponca City residents, Joel Si
McBlair, 37, and his mother, Laura Sue Primeaux,
70. The warrants were issued for stalking charges
against both individuals following an investigation
by multiple officers from the Ponca City Police Department into repeated harassment of a neighbor
that commenced in 2021.
Although the Ponca City Police Department had
previously processed multiple charges against the
two subjects through Ponca City Municipal Court,
the behavior continued from both McBlair and
Primeaux.
According to statements made by the victim,
the escalating behavior exhibited by McBlair and
Primeaux included profanity directed at adults
and children as young as six months old. These slurs included threats of deportation from the United States, to “get on a boat and go back to Mexico”, and
derogatory references to the victim and children as “wet backs.”
Additionally, the harassing behavior included threats to allow their dogs to
attack the victim and their children, the throwing of dog feces at the victim’s residence and yard, trespassing, and threats of personal harm. Notably, Primeaux
made a statement expressing a desire for the victim’s child die.
On the evening of September 30th, deputies from Kay County arrested McBlair and Primeaux at their residence. They were subsequently booked into the
Kay County Detention Center for the offense of stalking. Each individual was
released on bond with a $20,000 bail.

PRUE MAN SENTENCED TO OVER
30 YEARS FOR SEXUALLY
ABUSING MINOR
A Prue man was sentenced September 23 for
Sexual Abuse of a Minor in Indian Country and
Receipt of Child Pornography, announced U.S.
Attorney Clint Johnson.
U.S. District Judge John F. Heil, III, sentenced
Caleb Paul Toothman, 43, to 365 months imprisonment, followed by lifetime supervised release.
Upon his release, Toothman will also be required
to register as a sex offender. Judge Heil further ordered Toothman to pay $3,000
in restitution.
In December 2023, Toothman connected with a 14-year-old minor victim
through a website and began communicating with them via social media. On
two separate occasions, the minor victim agreed to meet Toothman and snuck
out of their home. Toothman picked up the minor and then drove to a park where
he sexually abused the victim. Further, Toothman requested and received sexually explicit photos of the minor victim.
Toothman is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation and will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but if
that’s the case then can someone please tell me what these
two separate booking photos are worth? Clearly the mugshot
of Danielle Gonzalez shows zero remorse about putting other’s
lives at risk!
A deputy from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida
was out patrolling the streets of the West Precinct and came
up to a vehicle without tag lights. The deputy was originally
going to stop the vehicle for that infraction, however, once the
light turned green, the car didn’t move, it just sat there!! After realizing the car wasn’t going to move,
he activated his emergency lights and the vehicle suddenly moved forward and pulled into a parking
lot.
As the deputy approached the driver, Danielle Gonzalez, he asked for her information, which she
took a while to gather and was rambling on about random things. Based on some obvious concerns, the deputy asked Gonzalez if she would like to do a few Field Sobriety Exercises, to which
she agreed, while also telling him that she had smoked some weed.
Unfortunately for Gonzalez, the Field Sobriety Exercises or Drunk Olympics, as the sheriff likes to
call them, didn’t go so well and she was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI!! Gonzalez was
also asked to give a sample of her breath, and let’s just say that didn’t help her either, as she blew
a 0.160!!
Well folks, you know what happens next, a Courtesy Shuttle showed up and Gonzalez got a ride
to the Brevard County Jail on a $1,000 bond for DUI-2nd Offense.
