TWIST OF FATE
A Broken Bow man remains in a federal prion
to await his fate after he pleaded guilty to federal
firearms charges.
Kenneth Marvin Bray, also known as Marvin
Bray, a 54-year-old from Broken Bow, admitted
to one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
This could land Bray in prison for up to 15 years
and a hefty $250,000 fine.
The indictment alleges that Bray knewfully had a 9mm semi-automatic pistol
on November 30, 2023. This comes after Bray was already convicted of a crime
that could have sent them to prison for more than a year.
He is also facing charges in McCurtain County after charred remains were
found on his property east of Broken Bow. Investigators went to Bray’s home in
December of 2023 while they were searching for a Broken Bow man who had
been missing since early November of that year. He was formally charged on
August 5, 2024, with desecration of human corpse.
The investigation into this case involved the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office,
the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow accepted Bray’s plea and ordered
them to complete a presentence investigation report. A U.S. District Court
Judge will decide on the sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other legal factors.
Bray will stay in custody with the United States Marshals Service until the
judge decides on the punishment. CLINTON

BOGUS CHECK/ CON GAME
Presumed Innocent Until Proven Guilty MCCURTAIN COUNTY 5 | AUGUST 2025
In June 2025, Deputies took a report of a stolen vehicle
from the Kia dealership in Melbourne, Florida, that had been
taken off of the lot the day before by an unknown suspect.
Later that evening, the vehicle was determined to be in the
area of West King Street in Cocoa, and the sheriff’s team went
to work!!
Deputy Keith Grosse of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office
Ag/Marine Unit subsequently observed the vehicle in the McDonald’s drive-thru line, pulled up to the menu board placing
an order, possibly for a Hamburglar Happy Meal!! Dep. Grosse pulled in behind the vehicle like he
was lining up to place an order as well, and then shortly after, officers from the Cocoa PD arrived on
scene to help block the vehicle in!!
The driver and only person in the car, Kenneth Miller, was taken into custody, and interestingly
enough, he told Deputies that he didn’t have a driver’s license, but wait that’s not all… Miller is already out on bond for driving while license suspended with knowledge, resisting an officer, reckless
driving, and failure to register a motor vehicle!!
So he is already out on bond for doing dumb criminal stuff and then decides to go steal a car!
And here’s where the case gets even better, or how about juicier than a Big Mac, Miller matches
the description of one of two males who test drove that same vehicle a few days prior!!
When Kia employees came to retrieve the vehicle, they brought two sets of keys with them from
the dealership but only one set worked!! The good news is that the other set of keys to the vehicle
weren’t lost as they were in Miller’s pocket!!
BCSO Agents believe Miller and the other suspect switched the set of keys during the test drive
allowing them to come back and steal the vehicle with no problems. And to top it all off, the tag on
the vehicle was from another Kia dealership!!
Another criminal is behind bars on no bond…I’m lovin’ it!! Did anyone other than me just hear the
music play for the McDonald’s jingle?

DRUG DEALING FOR DUMMIES:
CHAPTER 5
In this month’s “Drug Dealing For Dummies” lesson, we discuss how not one single person
on the planet wants to put drugs in their body that you just shoved up your poop chute!! That’s
right...if you are gonna try to hide your supply of drugs, the last place you should think about
putting them is in your prison wallet, as who in the world wants to ingest something you just
shoved up your butt and then defecated out on the floor!!
While “Drug Dealing For Dummies” is a guide, some things shouldn’t need to be said such
as...don’t do drugs, don’t sell drugs, don’t sell drugs in Brevard County (Fla.), and without question, don’t try to hide drugs when you are going to jail by shoving them up your anus!! Especially
when we constantly tell you that no matter where you hide your contraband, we are still going
to find it through our X-ray machine or during the strip search before you are taken to a cell!!
I mean let’s be honest folks, there are not a lot of places you can hide drugs when you are
being stripped search, so for us, its really a matter of after we put on our gloves do we go in your
mouth first to search for drugs or your prison wallet first!!
Sadly, not everyone reads “Drug Dealing For Dummies” as
lRobert Plummer found his way to jail once again after he attempted to flee from Deputies who were trying to stop him on
his bicycle. Plummer was just arrested days ago for resisting and
trying to pull a gun from a bag when Deputies were taking him into
custody!! Now here he is again, doing the same exact crap and
earning another ride in our courtesy shuttle to the Brevard County
Jail after he physically resisted Deputies again!!
The only difference in this time and his previous visit just days
before, is when he was taken into the changing area last night
to put on his new jail attire, he defecated on the floor and out
popped three separate baggies of drugs!! That’s right, he copped
a squat and defecated three separate baggies on the floor that
respectively contained 5.3 grams of a substance that field tested positive for meth, 4 grams of a substance that field
tested positive for meth, and a baggie that contained
5.29 grams of a substance that field tested positive for
cocaine!!
Well, regardless of how crappy he acted, we still got
him a not so nice room with no view at the jail and a
slightly used pair of shower slides to make his stay more
comfortable after he was charged with two counts of
Introduction of Contraband Into A Detention Facility,
Resisting An Officer With Violence, Resisting Without
Violence, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia!!

CRUZIN' DRUNK IN A CRUZE
A Texas man was taken into custody late in June
after he rammed his Chevy Cruze into the back of a
semi while cruising down the highway drunk.
According to the Stringtown Police Department,
on June 24, 2025, at 5:56 AM, officers from the
Stringtown Police Department responded to a traffic
collision on Southbound Highway 69 and 4-D. They
found a black 2013 Chevrolet Cruze that had hit the
rear of a semi truck.
During the investigation, they discovered that the driver of the Cruze was at fault.
He was driving too close to the truck, going about 85 miles per hour in a 70 miles per
hour zone, and he didn’t have his headlights on at night.
The driver of the Cruze, De Andre Steptoe, 22, of Shepherd,Texas was also driving
under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested. He was taken to the
Atoka County Jail and booked.
Bond for Steptoe was set at $45,000. At his July 2 court date, he struck a plea deal
by waving his right to a preliminary hearing after pleading no contest to the charge. He
was given five years in jail but all except 10 days were suspended. CARISSA

MULTIPLIER
A Coal County resident has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing ammunition after he was convicted
of multiple felonies in multiple counties over the last
eight years.
Kevin Carter Kieckhefer, a 35-year-old from Tupelo, admitted to possessing ammunition illegally.
This could land up to 15 years in prison and a hefty
$250,000 fine.
On July 19, 2023, Kieckhefer was caught with 25 rounds of .223 ammunition. This
was after being convicted of a crime that could’ve sent them to prison for over a year.
The Coal County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives all got involved in the investigation.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerald L. Jackson accepted Kieckhefer’s plea and asked
them to fill out a report about their situation.
A U.S. District Court Judge will decide how long Kieckhefer will spend in prison
based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other rules.
Kieckhefer will stay in custody with the United States Marshals Service until the
judge decides on a sentence.

A hooded daredevil was caught on video recklessly scaling the Roosevelt Island tramway on
June 16 and sending cops scrambling to bring
him to safety has been charged in the stupid stunt.
Miguel Martinez, 20, of Oceanside, Long Island,
NY, was charged with reckless endangerment,
obstruction of governmental administration and
criminal trespass in the brazen incident that unfolded around 7 p.m., authorities said.
Footage shows the masked Martinez nonchalantly walking back and forth
along the gangway of the tramway’s 250-feet-tall support tower on the Manhattan side. At one point, he descends and climbs a series of short ladders on the
tower and makes his way out onto an I-beam barely wide enough to accommodate his feet, the nail-biting video shows.
Shocked New Yorkers called 911, prompting cops to respond to the scene in
climbing gear.
The brave first responders made their way to the tower’s peak, secured Martinez in safety gear and brought him down to the ground unharmed, police said.
The thrill-seeker was taken by paramedics to Weill-Cornell Medical Center,
according to the FDNY.
There was no indication that Martinez — who has no prior arrests in the Big
Apple — scaled the tower as part of a protest or for a cause, cops said.

TOWN AWAKENED
A $1M bond was set for the suspect accused of
murdering an Achille man on July 18.
Justin Michael Stone, 44, of Achille, was charged
July 21 with murder in the first degree- deliberate intent, in Bryan County District Court.
According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), on July 18, the Achille Police Department requested OSBI to investigate a homicide.
At around 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a residence near South Seventh Avenue and A Avenue in Achille regarding a shooting. When officers arrived on scene,
they discovered 68-year-old James Roy Scoggins deceased. It was determined he
suffered from an apparent gunshot wound.
Based on the information and evidence gathered, OSBI special agents identified
the suspect as Stone. The Colbert Police Department located Stone in Colbert, as he
was arrested and booked into the Bryan County Jail. His preliminary hearing conference is set for August 13 at 8:45 a.m.

THAT'S METHED UP!
The Wichita County Sheriff’s Office said suspicious
activity is what led deputies to arrest a man in June.
According to arrest documents, just after midnight
on Thursday, June 26, a Wichita County Sheriff’s Deputy saw a person on a self-propelled scooter leave the
sidewalk and begin to travel northbound in the southbound lanes of Kemp Boulevard.
The deputy said he knew the location to be a high drug trafficking area, so he made
the block and found the rider on Buchanan Street. The deputy initiated a stop when the
rider attempted to cut across the parking lot of a church.
When the deputy asked the rider for an ID, he said he did not have one, but identified
himself as Justice Zimmer.
During a search of Zimmer, the deputy located a knife, several bullets, a hard metal
object Zimmer said was a tool, and a yellow plastic baggie with residue of what appeared
to be crystal methamphetamine.
Deputies said Zimmer also had a backpack that had a plastic cylinder holding two
more baggies, one with more residue and the other with a
crystal-like substance, both of which field-tested positive for
methamphetamine.
Zimmer was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Wichita County Jail with a bond
of $10,000.
At the time of publication, the Wichita County Jail log also
showed that Zimmer was charged with fraudulent use or
possession of identifying information, but information on the
charge was not available.
Zimmer’s total bail is set at $35,000.

Maxie Darryl Caston, 58, of Hugo, was sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison, followed by a three year term of supervised release,
for one count of Felon in Possession of Firearm
and Ammunition.
The charge arose from an investigation by the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
On March 14, 2025, Caston pleaded guilty to
the charge. According to investigators, on September 6, 2024, law enforcement executing a search warrant for Caston’s Hugo
residence seized a revolver, a shotgun, four rifles, and multiple rounds of ammunition. At the time of the search, Caston had sustained at least one prior felony
conviction and was prohibited from legally possessing a firearm or ammunition.
Caston will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a
non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
