A Eagletown man got into a muddy situation with the law
March 30 after he ran from authorities on an ATV.
Justin Burcham, 28, now faces charges of attempting to
elude a police officer, operating an ATV on roadway, and
operating a vehicle without proper muffler or noise suppressing system.
OHP Trooper Joe Standridge wrote in his report that he
was notified by dispatch at around 11 p.m. of a complaint of
4-wheelers in the Panki Bok area south of Eagletown. He
responded to the area and saw Burcham driving a racingtype ATV in a private drive. Standridge tried to speak with
Burcham, but he suddenly took off down the road.
Standridge activated his emergency lights and began to
chase the ATV. Because of the loud exhaust on the ATV, Burcham could easily be followed when not in sight.
Burcham led the trooper down multiple county roads until he attempted to make a
turn, but he was going too fast and slid into a mud hole and got stuck. He tried and tried
to accelerate out, but to no avail.
Standridge ordered Burcham to the ground and took him into custody. His little stunt
cost him a night in the county jail, a $2500 bond, and court costs.
Here’s mud in your eye

What you’re saying
about this on...
Sandy M: there is no excuse for what she
did besides being SICK.....
Becky R: Sick people in this world need to
be hanged!!!
Courtney Lynn R: This sickens me we
allow are children to go to school? We have no
idea who these people really are that take care
of our kids! This is a sick world!
Lisa E: Sick a** b**ch
Kamie M: She should go to prison! People
in prison put these kinds of people in their
place!!! Sick b**ch!!!!
Kevin T: This woman needs to be in there
4 life
Angie K: Her crimes are heinous and the
fact that she’s trying to justify what she’s done
is despicable. She’s clearly not remorseful
and because of the nature of her crimes she
deserves the maximum penalty. She abused
her position of authority and preyed on
innocent little girls that did as they were told.
Shame on her and anyone that supports her.
Patricia N: o well we all get depressed an
have bad days an never molested kids she
needs life without
William M: All I have to say it W T F ??
This Nasty ole crone needs to be n he’ll
Megan M: Dirty b**ch
Robin R: She went to school at Shawnee I
remember her
Tab R: Now lets give teachers guns too.....
makes sense to me
Jennifer H: She’s a teacher, no excusable
reason for what she’s done. Off with her head!
Sierra D. J: so adding up all her excuses
she’s basically blaming it on being a woman....
Debbie W: SICK B**CH
Winnie B: What a Low Life! Let her
continue her teaching, but instead of children,
let her have classes with her peers!
Leslie W: Firing squad.
Leeann S: sick #$%**&^%$
Koré Lynn C: rot in hell. you’re a sick sick
individual
Tonya R: Exactly Debbie...sick b**ch
Jennifer N: OMG this B**ch is glad she
not my kids teacher I would be in prison for
murder!!!!!
Kortni B: She wanted to keep that sick
freak happy but had no problem ruining the
lives of small children? Make perfect sense.
Katie Breean W: Sick b**ch!
Kylina W: WAT A WEIRDO
Michael B: sick sick people
Tiffany P: If she has a sick thinking that
she believes any of this was ok then she should
never be able to teach or be around children
again.
Adela N: There is no excuse for an adult
that abuses children! Sexually, mentally
or physically. None. These are the type of
teachers you get when you cut funding for
schools. There was another one at Colgate
schools.
Mary A: The Devil Made Me Do It defense
doesn’t make it any better for the little kids
that were victimized at her hands. Depression,
menopause, a persuasive online love interest,
an emotionally absent husband and even
hypnosis for her crime. Bull!!!
Shawn R: Reverse psychology is what she’s
trying to pull. Life w/out parole!
Jamie P: People are getting more fukd up
every day
Karen T: Sicko!! Makes me scared for my
daughter!!
Carolyn R: Hang her high
Charrity W: Jennifer murders too easy I
say let some prisoners use their imagination
with a hot branding iron! and let em have
some pizza while theyre doing it!
A former McLoud teacher who admitted to taking sexually inappropriate
photos of young girls, some her own students, wants a judge to consider
probation.
In a written letter submitted to the court, Kimberly Crain blamed
depression, menopause, a persuasive online love interest, an emotionally
absent husband and even hypnosis for her crime.
The former elementary school teacher detailed a timeline of events
that prompted her to plead guilty to manufacturing and distributing
child pornography and to lewd molestation. Crain makes an attempt to
reason with the court as to why she took sexually explicit snapshots of
girls in her class and then emailed or Skyped them to her online love,
Gary Doby, a professor living in Pennsylvania.
“I found myself giving in to all he wanted,” Crain said. “...I wanted to continue to keep him happy.”
Crain eventually invited several girls to help her decorate her classroom before the 2011-12 school
year. The students were invited to her house to eat pizza, and they were taped as they changed
clothes.
“I took some candid snapshots as they played and ate,” Crain wrote. She emailed those photos to
Doby.

A truck driver was taken into custody April 4 after an alert citizen notified police of the trucker’s erratic driving.
Goran Banjac, 33, of Ft. Worth, was charged with possession
of a controlled dangerous substance April 8 in Atoka County District Court.
According to the police affidavit, Tushka Police Officer Charles
Sanders was on routine patrol when a citizen alerted him to a
semi that was weaving on Highway 69. Sanders caught up to
the northbound semi and he immediately saw it weave back and
forth from the outside lane into the inside lane, then back over to
the outside lane and over the shoulder line.
Sanders stopped the semi and he motioned for the driver to
get out and walk back to him. The driver, Banjac, was very slow
walking toward him and very unsteady. As he got closer to the officer, he could see Banjac’s
eyes were very red.
During a pat-down search of Banjac’s clothing, Sanders found a round silver container
with seven yellow pills inside, several pink pills wrapped in plastic, a black substance that
Banjac admitted was heroin, and a glass container with some sort of liquid inside. He also
found a syringe in another of Banjac’s pockets.
Banjac refused a blood test, was arrested and transported to the Atoka County Jail where
he remains on a $20,000 bond.

YOU ARE MIND FOR ALL TIME; nothing can separate you from My Love. Since I have
invested My very Life in you, be well assured that I will also take care of you. When your mind
goes into neutral and your thoughts flow freely, you tend to feel anxious and alone. Your focus becomes problem solving. To get your mind back into gear, just turn toward Me, bringing
yourself and your problems into My Presence.
Many problems vanish instantly in the Light of My Love, because you realize you are never
alone. Other problems may remain, but they become secondary to knowing Me and rejoicing
in the relationship I so freely offer to you. Each moment you can choose to practice My Presence or to practice the presence of problems.

Two Pontotoc County men are facing felony charges after they
burglarized a rural Coal County man’s home on March 14.
Ramey Reamy, 22, of Stonewall, and Christopher Lucas Allen,
22, of Ada, were both charged with second-degree burglary in Coal
County District Court.
According to the police affidavit, the victim called the Coal County Sheriff’s Office around 7 p.m. about a burglary that had just happened at his home. He saw two men in a dark green Firebird with
Texas plates leaving his 1.6 mile-long driveway. He tried to flag
them down, but they drove around him and took off at a high rate
of speed. When the victim went inside his home, he found several
rifles and miscellaneous firearms were missing, along with his college class ring.
After a short investigation, deputies discovered a suspect in the case, Allen, had been arrested and locked up in jail in Pontotoc County on an unrelated charge. After questioning
Allen on what he knew, he said he didn’t take the guns, but the other guy with him did. Allen
wouldn’t name who the other guy was because he didn’t want to be considered a snitch in
jail.
A few more leads took them to a home in rural Pontotoc County where they found the
green Firebird and Reamy. Reamy said Allen had stolen the guns and he didn’t.
Reamy was booked into the Coal County Jail. Bond was set at $2500 and his preliminary
hearing is scheduled for April 18.

John 10:10: “The thief cometh not,

The thief Jesus is referring to in

Lord contrasts the work of the devil as
stealing, killing, and destroying, while
the work of the Lord is to bring abundant
life to His people. Notice that the thief
doesn’t stop at one sin of stealing, but
rather progresses on to kill and destroy.
Many people do not realize that what
they think as just taking seemingly little
things can lead to taking bigger things
and ultimately one becomes a thief. The
“little fox” of stealing towels from the
motel, shoplifting small items, keeping
things that do not belong to them, can
lead to a dangerous pattern which could
eventually lead to one being imprisoned for theft.
Shoplifting alone costs our businesses enormous amounts of money which
causes to have to pay higher prices for goods. When a nation stoops to thievery
in any form, it hurts all the people.
in recent news articles, we have seen how thievery on the national level has
jeopardized the safety of our whole country because of people stealing our
national secrets and selling them to our potential enemies. We pray for this
element of sin in our society to be removed.
We, as Christians, know this can only happen through the Lord changing men’s
hearts and giving them power over sin in their lives. We pray for revival in our
nation so that honor and honesty will prevail in our national life.
We must also check our own lives to see if we are failing God by yielding to
stealing and cheating.

OK Jailbirds is cooperating with the efforts of Oklahoma
Department of Human Services to impact the huge social
problem of irresponsible parents who are not paying the
child supports ordered by our courts.
If these biological-only parents won’t honor the courts
order, perhaps public shame will get their attention.
If you know how to reach any of the Deadbeat Parents found on this page, please call the Oklahoma Department of Human Services
Child Support HotLine at 1-800-522-8014
It’s ALL about the KIDS!
Importance of Child Support
Children are our future and child support helps make sure they have a chance at a
productive life. Children have the right to get support from both parents and do not
lose this right when a parent leaves the home.
When children do not receive child support, they can:
Suffer both Emotionally and Physically
Live within a Reduced Standard of Living
Have their Basic Needs Unmet
Become Non-Supportive when they become Parents.
When one or both parents do not support their children, taxpayers often pay the cost
of raising children. When children receive public assistance and their parents pay no
child support, all taxpayers bear the cost of supporting the children.

A Durant woman could be spending up to five
years in a federal prison for a crime committed on
tribal lands.
Dawn Marie Smith, 29, pled guilty to felony theft
of personal property in Indian Country.
The charge arose from an investigation by the
Choctaw Nation Tribal Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Smith was indicted in February, 2013.
The indictment alleges that on August 10, 2012,
within Indian Country, namely on land held in trust by the United States
for the Choctaw Nation, Smith, an Indian, did take and carry away, with
the intent to steal, another’s personal property valued in excess of $1,000.
The Honorable Kimberly E. West, Magistrate Judge in the United
States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee,
presided over the March 20th hearing and ordered the completion of a
pre-sentence investigation report.
Smith remains in the custody of the United States Marshal Service
pending sentencing.
The statutory range of punishment is not more than 5 years imprisonment and/or up to a $250,000 fine.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. that
morning, Parker Allen Tyson, 27, of
Bennington, kicked in the door to the
home at 14 Main Street. Tyson was
armed with a handgun at the time.
When Tyson kicked in the door, another person inside the home fired a
handgun at Tyson striking him several times.
Emergency medical personnel
transported Tyson to the Medical
Center of Southeast Oklahoma in
Durant. Doctors pronounced Tyson
dead at 2:42 a.m.
No one has been arrested at this time. Agents and deputies have

By Lt. Jeff James

Remember that Clint Eastwood
movie where everyone is waiting
for the other person to move, and
it just keeps cutting from one
to the other, and it takes forever and finally someone starts the
action? Ever felt like that sitting at a four-way stop, waiting to see
who’s going to go, or if its your turn? Or maybe you know its not
your turn, but the other driver wants to wave you through, even
though if they would have went when they were supposed to, the
whole thing would have went so much smoother? I see this situation
play out almost every day, so I thought I would touch on the laws
that govern it.
Generally, the issue that holds everyone up at a four-way stop
intersection is the issue of right-of-way. This issue is covered in
Oklahoma State Statute Title 47:11-403. I’m going to try and sum
it up for you. Any driver who approaches an intersection shall stop
as required, and after having stopped, shall yield the right-of-way
to any vehicle which has entered the intersection from another
roadway. Now there is more to that statute, but it deals with traffic
approaching that does not have a stop sign, so we’ll stick with
this. Everyone knows they have to stop, but its who has the rightof-way after everyone has stopped that is the issue.
If you have stopped, and another vehicle has approached the
intersection at approximately the same time opposite you, coming
towards you, and does not have a signal on to turn left, then there
really isn’t an issue. Both vehicles can proceed on since they are
going on in opposite directions, and are not turning. If one of you are
turning left, then the vehicle turning left must yield, because of the
statute that governs left turns in front of oncoming traffic. This one
gets most of the confusion going, because it always seems like the
person who isn’t turning left wants to be the nice person and wave
the other through. This holds up traffic, and isn’t necessary! Right
turns in this situation aren’t an issue because you aren’t crossing
over the other person’s lane of travel.
The next issue is when two or more vehicles meet at approximately
the same time, but are coming from different roadways. In this
case, the vehicle on the right has the right-of-way. If you aren’t the
vehicle on the right, you must yield. This situation also gets a few
people trying to wave the other through, and again, is not necessary
and usually results in holding traffic up!
Four way stops can be frustrating. Hopefully, these tips will help
you in that instance. If you are one of the people waving everyone
through, please remember, the most courteous thing you can do is
to follow the law, yield when you should, and go when you have the
right-of-way!
Thanks for reading, buckle up, and be safe!

A Clayton man taken into custody after
he was allegedly so sloshed he didn’t know
where he was.
Thomas Madden, 38, was charged March
18 with disturbing the peace, two counts of
obstructing an officer, and public intoxication. Madden pleaded no contest to the disturbing the peace and obstruction charges
at his hearing on March 20, but the public
intoxication charge was dismissed by the
court.
According to the police affidavit, Deputy
James Marzek was called just after midnight to a home on Sardis
Acres Road about someone causing a ruckus and trying to break into
a house. The owner said the man, Madden, was driving a little black
car.
As Marzek approached the house in his patrol unit, he could see
the black car in the driveway. When he got out to get a closer look,
he could see Madden passed out behind the steering wheel. Marzek
knocked on the driver’s side door to wake Madden up. He then asked
Madden what he was doing, but Madden wouldn’t say anything at
all.
“Exit the vehicle, please,” Marzek instructed.
“I’m not getting out of my car,” Madden retorted.
Marzek instructed Madden several more times to get out of the car
and each time Madden responded with a resounding, “No!” Finally,
Marzek was forced to open the door, reach into the car to grab Madden, and then place him in cuffs. The odor of alcohol filled the air.
Madden was confused as to where he was. He told the deputy he
had come from his house and was going to Buffalo Valley. He also
said he wasn’t trying to get into anyone’s house and that he was at
no one’s house.
Madden was transported to the Pushmataha County Jail and
booked.

THIS IS THE DAY THAT I HAVE MADE.
Rejoice and be glad in it. Begin the day with
open hands of faith, ready to receive all that
I am pouring into this brief portion of your
life. Be careful not to complain about anything, even the weather, since I am the Author of your circumstances. The best way to
handle unwanted situations is to thank Me
for them. This act of faith frees you from resentment and frees Me to work My ways into
the situation, so that good emerges from it.
To find Join in this day, you must live
within its boundaries. I knew what I was doing when I divided time into twenty-four –
hour segments. I understand human frailty,
and I know that you can bear the weight of
only one day at a time. Do not worry about
tomorrow or get stuck in the past. There is
abundant Life in My Presence today.
Psalm 118:24
Philippians 3:13-14
