NURSE DANIEL
A nurse at the Stillwater Medical Center was taken
into custody after he allegedly stole fentanyl from the
hospital that was meant for seriously ill patients.
According to OBN, on Friday, January 16, Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN) investigators assigned
to the agency’s Tulsa Diversion Unit received information from Stillwater Medical Center in reference
to an employee diverting fentanyl from patients. The
employee was identified as CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Daniel Boring. The hospital
believed Boring was diverting fentanyl or other types of controlled substances that
were meant for patients who were going into surgery or recovering from a surgical
procedure. With cooperation from the hospital OBN Agents began investigating the
complaint against Boring.
“What our Agents discovered is shocking and demonstrates a blatant disregard
for the safety of patients entrusted to his care. We found multiple instances where
Boring was ingesting fentanyl into his body while working inside an operating room
at the hospital. After ingesting the fentanyl Boring would then assist with medical
procedures on patients. One instance of this involved a minor child and another an
84-year-old adult,” said OBN Director Donnie Anderson.
OBN Agents believe there are other instances of diversion and abuse of patient
medication beyond the two examples listed. The Stillwater Medical Center continues
to be cooperative with OBN Agents and together are working to identify other cases
of theft and use during Boring’s time on the job.
On Tuesday, January 20, 2026, OBN Agents located Boring at his Stillwater residence and placed him under arrest. He was booked into the Payne County Jail on
charges of Larceny, Burglary, or Theft of a Controlled Substance, and Abuse, Neglect, or Exploitation by Caretaker.

AROUND THE STATE
“Just the Facts Ma’am”:
- Someone steals a unique tool from victim’s
vehicle
- Victim found the stolen tool for sale on Facebook Marketplace
- Officers arranged to buy the tool from the seller
- The suspect arrived with the tool and was arrested
The Rest of the Story:
On January 8th, 2026, around 5:30 p.m., Tulsa Police Officers took a report
from a man who said someone broke into his work truck at Urban Oak Apartments near 51st and Lewis.
The victim stated that someone sifted through his toolboxes and stole a
$1,500 Ridgid NaviTrack Scout locator tool. The victim then showed Officers
multiple Facebook Marketplace posts showing what he believed to be his tool
listed for half, and sometimes, a quarter of the value.
Officers reached out to the listing parties and agreed to meet to buy the item in
a parking lot near 62nd and Peoria. The seller, identified as 29-year-old Shavonn
Byllups, arrived carrying the case with the tool inside.
Byllups claimed she met a “friend” on the street who asked her if she wanted
to make some quick cash selling something on Facebook. She was unable to
give Officers much information about who gave her the stolen item.
The victim had his name and other unique markings on the case for the tool,
making it easy for Officers to identify it as the
stolen item as Byllups arrived.
Byllups was arrested and booked into the
Tulsa County Jail for Knowingly Concealing
Stolen Property.
Facebook Marketplace shoppers should know that if the
price seems “too good to be
true,” it probably is.

A former long-term Drumright ag teacher was
taken into custody after allegedly abusing several
students at the school.
On October 7, 2025, the Drumright Police Department requested the Oklahoma State Bureau
of Investigation to investigate allegations of sexual
misconduct.
The Drumright Police Department received sexual and physical abuse allegations involving Drumright Public Schools agriculture teacher Bobby Pruitt, 63. The allegations asserted that Pruitt made inappropriate contact with two students.
Based on the allegations presented, Pruitt was placed on administrative leave
on October 6, 2025. Pruitt was an agriculture teacher for 38 years, working in
multiple Oklahoma school districts. On October 29, 2025, Pruitt formally resigned from Drumright Public Schools and turned over his teaching license to
the Oklahoma State Board of Education.
During their comprehensive investigation into these allegations, OSBI special
agents determined that Pruitt did make inappropriate contact with students
while teaching.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, an arrest warrant was issued for Pruitt by the Creek County District Court on two counts of Lewd Molestation, two counts of Child Sexual Abuse, one count of Child Abuse, and one
count of Assault and Battery with a dangerous weapon.
On February 1, 2026, Pruitt was located by the United State Marshals Service
and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in Stroud, Oklahoma. Pruitt was arrested and
booked into the Creek County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.
UNSOLVED COLD CASE
Janice Marie Buono was twenty-nine years old
when she was last seen alive on January 1st,
2002.
At the time that she went missing, Janice had
been living a rough life. Janice had moved to Lawton after losing two of her children in a fire but
what she thought was a fresh start was a path to
addiction. She had been recently staying at a local
Lawton motel with another woman. Both had been fighting substance abuse
disorder, often engaging in sex work to pay for their addiction. It seems though,
that Janice was on her way to turning her life around when she went missing.
She had recently called home, saying she wanted to come back and get herself
together. Unfortunately, she never got to do so.
According to the woman she roomed with at the motel, Janice walked one
way that New Year’s Day, and she walked another. The next time anyone would
see Janice was February 23rd, 2002. A farmer was repairing a fence when he
discovered Janice’s body floating under a bridge one mile east of State Hwy 65
off of Townley Rd. Her body was found within miles of where Mandy Raite’s body
was found less than two years earlier. Janice’s cause of death remains unknown,
though it is believed she fell victim to a serial killer, likely the Lawton serial murderer, that was preying on sex workers within the area at that time
Janice was unfortunately described in the media as just another prostitute
who was killed. She was also described as being a white woman. She was not
just either of these things. Janice was a proud mother of three children. All of
whom were very young when they lost their mother. All of whom just want justice
for her now. Janice was not a white woman- she was proudly Comanche. And
she deserves for someone to come forward about what happened to her- because make no mistake- someone knows something.
If you have any information about the murder of Janice Buono, please contact
the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017. You may also message us here if you wish to
remain anonymous.

STUNG BY THE STING
The Creek County Sheriff’s Office successfully executed a tactical sting operation following a tip regarding a planned burglary on January 18.
According to the Creek County Sheriff’s Office,
deputies, acting on the intelligence, positioned themselves inside the targeted residence with the owner’s permission. After waiting in complete darkness,
deputies apprehended the suspects after their forced
entry into the home. Nicholas Heath Anderson was
arrested in the house, while Dacoda Reiyan Turner,
33, of Bristow, was taken into custody after a short
foot pursuit.
The sting also led to the arrest of the getaway driver, Jack “Rabbit” Gene Henson, 51, of Slick. A subsequent search warrant served at Henson’s residence
uncovered that he was operating what appeared to
be an illegal gunsmith business. This discovery is
particularly significant as Henson is a convicted felon
who was already out on bond from Rogers County for
charges including Trafficking in Illegal Drugs and Possession of a Firearm After Former Felony Conviction.
During the search, investigators recovered a massive cache of weapons and stolen property, including
9 total firearms- two of which were confirmed stolen, thousands of rounds of ammunition and various gun parts, a stolen Ford F150, and a stolen Polaris Side by Side.
Both Jack Gene Henson and Dacoda Reiyan Turner were charged January 30 with
Conspiracy to Commit a Felony and 2nd Degree Burglary.
Charges for Nicholas Heath Anderson (not pictured) are pending through the Tribal Police – tribal
status.

HONESTY IS THE
BEST POLICY
Meeker man Bobby Lee Raymond, 62, was arrested
after firing multiple gunshots at a sheriff’s deputy who
was investigating a peeping-tom complaint at a rural
Meeker residence.
According to reports, a Lincoln County deputy
went to investigate a report of a suspicious person
looking into windows. Upon arrival, he made contact
with Raymond, who was outside the residence. The
men joked around before the deputy went into the renter’s trailer that was on the property.
The renter showed the deputy a video of Raymond peeking through the window. The
deputy then spoke to Raymond to stop peeking in windows or he was going to get a
peeping tom charge. Raymond then told the deputy to “get the f—” off his property.
Raymond then approached the deputy in an aggressive manner, and the deputy pulled
out his taser. Raymond threw down a dish that was in his hand and walked in his house.
The deputy took cover behind a tree before five shots were fired. Raymond told the
deputy that he had been shot, but he wouldn’t come out of the house.
Wellston police officers arrived on scene to assist and placed the man under arrest.
Raymond allegedly told police, “Like I said, I’m going to be honest. I did it. I f——d up,
and I’m going to take the blame for it.” He said he thought the deputy had pulled a gun
and pointed it at him. Raymond then said he only fired one shot as a reaction to the deputy shooting him in the arm. He also stated he was in counseling because he accidentally
shot and killed his brother when he was a kid.
Raymond is being charged with shooting with intent to kill, feloniously pointing a firearm, peeping tom, and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property. His bond was
set at $50,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 26, 2026. ALEXIS

A woman is accused of twisting a loss prevention
officer in a sensitive area to escape with Hershey’s
chocolate and feminine pads.
According to KFDM, 40-year-old Keri Aultz stole
two bags of Hershey’s chocolate and feminine pads
Tuesday night at a store in Beaumont, Texas.
Beaumont police said a loss prevention officer attempted to stop Aultz on her way to her car, but she pushed the officer and grabbed
him. She also allegedly lunged at a store manager.
“Afterward, Aultz exited the vehicle and grabbed the asset protection personnel’s
left nipple and twisted it causing him to feel pain,” the arrest report obtained by KFDM
said.
Aultz was charged with robbery. She also had outstanding warrants for previous
theft offenses.
Aultz’s bond is set at $75,000.
The items Aultz allegedly stole cost $16.21.

SAD SITUATION
On January 28, 2026, the Logan County Sheriff’s
Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation to investigate a homicide.
At around 2:15 p.m., Logan County deputies responded to a residence near South Bryant Avenue
and West Simmons Road in Edmond regarding a
welfare check. When deputies arrived on scene, they made contact with two teens
and discovered the female homeowner was missing.
As deputies searched the property, they located the adult female deceased. It was
determined the victim had suffered injuries consistent with homicide. The female victim will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine her
exact cause and manner of death.
Based on the information and evidence obtained, one of the teens was placed into
custody and will be transported to a juvenile detention facility.
At this time, there are no other suspects at large and this is still an ongoing investigation. Once the investigation is complete, the OSBI will provide their report to the
District 9 District Attorney’s Office for review.
