JUDGEMENT DAY
A Del City woman accused of killing a passenger in her vehicle and two children in another vehicle in a crash west of Perkins in 2021, will be
serving the next five years in prison as punishment
for their deaths.
Lillian Caroline Smith, 22, was charged January
21, 2021, with Manslaughter in The First Degree (Driving a Motor Vehicle Left of
Center), in Payne County District Court.
On December 17, 2024, Smith pleaded guilty to an alternative count of driving left of center, instead of driving under the influence of intoxicating drugs,
in the fatal crash. She was given three concurrent five-year prison terms, with
time served, followed by 10 years of probation of three counts of manslaughter
first-degree charges.
Smith, who was found to have drugs in her system on the day of the crash,
was driving her GMC Envoy SUV eastbound with her boyfriend in the front seat
when she went off the right side of the roadway and hit the rumble strips on
Highway 33. She then over-corrected and broad-sided a Hyundai Elantra traveling westbound with five people inside.
As a result of the collision, Smith’s boyfriend, age 19, and two young children,
ages 4 and 7, were killed.
Smith waived her right to remain in the Payne County jail for ten days.

TRAIN VS. MUSTANG -- Driver arrested for DUI
On December 14, just before 2:00 a.m., Officers responded to a call of a Ford Mustang Convertible on the
tracks in the area near 100 S. Guthrie Avenue.
The driver of the Mustang, 22-year-old Cody Tungate, later admitted to Officers that he left a car meet
event commonly known as a “Street Takeover”.
Several citizens observed Tungate attempting to
drive the convertible from the tracks, and said they had
to drag him from the vehicle as a train was rapidly approaching. At the same
time, another individual attempted to drive the vehicle from the tracks but was
unsuccessful.
The oncoming train was unable to stop in time and collided with the car, likely
totaling the vehicle. No one was injured.
Cody Tungate displayed multiple signs of intoxication and was arrested for DUI
and Transporting an Open Container.
This is an arrest, not a conviction.

THAT'S METHED UP!
No one likes the Grinch anytime of the year, but we especially don’t during the holidays!! But in this case, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit in Florida played the role of the Grinch as they took away all of the
drugs our little drug dealing friend Keith Sarr was stashing in
his house.
On December 6, the SWAT Team broke into Sarr’s residence (lawfully, of course) as they executed
a search warrant for the Special Investigations Unit. As you might imagine, the agency had received
multiple complaints about the house and it’s occupants from local citizens.
Now, at least Sarr was smart enough not to try and run once the SWAT team hit his house, and
as you might imagine, he had drugs inside his house…in fact he had 60.86 grams of fentanyl which
is enough to kill just over 30,000 people if put into a lethal dose!!
During their search they also found 97.8g of methamphetamine which is also enough to charge
him with trafficking in meth as well!! And of course, he had two firearms inside, which makes perfect sense as he is a convicted felon
and as such can’t have a firearm!!
On a positive note, SIU Grinches took all of Sarr’s crap and gave
Sarr to jail where he can make new friends to spend the holidays
with!!
Sarr was charged with Trafficking in Meth, Trafficking in Fentanyl,
and two counts of Possession Of A Firearm By A Convicted Felon,
so he qualified for one of the returning guests suites as he is gonna
be with them a while since he has a “No Bond” status!!
Don’t be a Grinch or a drug dealer this holiday season folks, especially not in Brevard County, because they will show you how the
real Grinch will kick in your door and ruin your Christmas for sure!!

FLOCKED
Sapulpa woman Kala Renee Matney, 36, is facing several charges after her newborn baby tested positive for meth and passed away.
According to reports, Matney’s son was born in
November 2022. He died just one day later while
he was in the NICU.
At the time, Matney couldn’t explain why the
test was positive. A week later, she reportedly admitted to investigators that she had used meth the day before the baby was
born. She also told them that she used the drugs during her pregnancy.
Reports state that eight children had already been removed from Matney’s
care because of illegal substance use. A warrant was issued for the woman’s
arrest.
On December 15, Sapulpa police officers received a hit on the woman’s license plate from a flock camera. They tracked her down and stopped her vehicle after she left a QuikTrip parking lot.
Matney is being charged with murder in the second degree, child neglect, and
violation of Oklahoma statute via computer. She is being held without bond and
is scheduled to appear in court on January 7, 2025.

THE DARK CRYSTAL
A 31-year-old Chandler man allegedly broke into a
residence and assaulted police officers on December 9.
According to the police report, a Chandler police
officer was dispatched to the 800 block of Tilghman
Drive at approximately 4:25 p.m. to investigate a disturbance. The caller said a man, later identified as Royce
Walker Weathers, was in her home and her nephew
was shooting at the man with a BB gun. Weathers left
the home in a gray SUV.
When the officer arrived at the home, the nephew said Weathers assaulted him at
the door and then entered the home, acting crazy. At first, he thought Weathers was
the pharmacy bringing his aunt her prescriptions, so that’s why he opened the door. Instead, Weathers told him he wanted his $3 million dollars and his crystal. Weathers then
punched him and entered the home. He told his aunt to call 911.
Weathers then followed the woman, who uses a motorized scooter, around the home
demanding $3 million dollars.
Weathers punched through some sheetrock and broke a door and electronic deadbolt
as he exited the house. Outside the home, he threw some stuff at the house.
A Lincoln County deputy found Weathers at a liquor store on East 15th Street. The
victim positively identified Weathers as the man in her home. Weathers said he was just
acting and didn’t mean anything. He was placed under arrest and transported to jail.
At the jail, Weathers defecated himself and refused to follow officer commands.
He kicked a deputy in the throat, kicked another deputy in the knee, and elbowed a
jailer in the neck. A taser was used on the man during the struggle. He was then placed
into a cell without incident.
Weathers is being charged with three counts of battery/assault and battery on a police
officer, breaking and entering a dwelling without permission, and assault and battery. His
bond was set at $7,500, and he is scheduled to appear in court on January 9, 2025.

TWO ARRESTED IN
THANKSGIVING HOMICIDE
Two men were put behind bars after they allegedly
killed a man on Thanksgiving evening.
According to reports, a property owner requested
a welfare check in the 3400 block of E. County Oaks
Road. The victim had been staying on the property in a
tent for about a week before the property owner found
his body outside.
At first, investigators didn’t see any evidence of foul
play or trauma to the victim’s body. On December 2,
however, the Medical Examiner’s Office notified police
that they had found a bullet lodged in the victim’s body.
During the homicide investigations, investigators
spoke to a witness who said they saw two males and
a female approach the victim’s tent. The victim and a
man later identified as 37-year-old Steven Arron Canning, both had bats. Another man, 40-year-old Aldon
Owen Harmon III, got out of a truck and approached
the scene. Witnesses heard a gunshot and saw Harmon drive away from the area. The victim was struggling to stand and he eventually fell.
Canning left the scene on a bike. Witnesses reported hearing someone say, “He stole
my 10-year-old’s bike.”
Reports state the victim had made several 911 calls in the prior weeks.
Investigators executed a search warrant at Harmon’s residence. Harmon told police he
had confronted the victim at a convenience store because the man had stolen Canning’s
daughter’s bicycle. Harmon said they were just trying to retrieve the stolen bike. He denied having a gun or hearing a gunshot at the time of the confrontation.
Canning, however, told police that Harmon shot the victim with a silver revolver. Investigators found a silver revolver at Harmon’s residence.
Canning said he wasn’t sure the bike belonged to his daughter after all. Police found
the bike abandoned in a shed.
Harmon is being charged with murder in the first degree. His bond was set at $10
million, and he is scheduled to appear in court on February 13, 2025.
Canning is being charged with murder in the first degree and possession of a firearm
after the former conviction of a felony. His bond was set at $10 million, and he is scheduled to appear in court on January 16, 2025.
SOUTHERN
SHENANIGANS
TYLER, Texas (KLTV/Gray News) - Texas authorities arrested
at least two men involved in a $400,000 scheme to steal Lego
sets from Walmart and Target stores across four states and resell
them online.
Brian Keith Fleming, 33, and Ladarion Dontre Anderson, 33,
were arrested. According to an affidavit, the scheme involves 10
people and has operated for at least two years.
On Oct. 14, 2022, a trooper noticed 19 unopened Cricut machines during a traffic stop, and according to the affidavit, the
driver could not explain why they were in the car or where the
machines came from.
The driver was arrested for an outstanding warrant and the
trooper reached out to Walmart and Target to determine if the
machines were stolen.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for two cell phones that
were in the car and the text history on those devices helped them
launch an investigation that crossed state borders.
The phones revealed conversations about stealing Cricut machines to sell to a third person at a cut rate, according to the affidavit. The texts also mentioned doing the same with Lego sets.
The United States postal inspector ran an investigation on the
buyer, who was reportedly paying cash for the items and then
reselling them on Amazon, eBay and other online platforms, according to the affidavit.
On March 14, a special agent in Texas was assigned to the case and learned from an Amazon
investigator that the seller had handed over a number of invoices for Lego sets that named Fleming
directly.
The investigation revealed that Fleming and Anderson were working together with a circle of five
“shoppers” to steal the sets from stores across Texas, the affidavit says.
Fleming and Anderson were caught on Walmart surveillance video walking down the Lego aisle
before buying a handful of other items, all in the $1 to $2 range.
The document says one of the five shoppers would then go into the store and put a matching
number of Lego sets into a cart before walking past the registers and out the door.
If stopped, they would show the receipt for the items Fleming or Anderson had bought, with
the names and prices changed. Investigators identified this pattern after detaining several of the
shoppers.
The affidavit says Walmart and Target investigators estimated the combined total value of the
items stolen to be over $400,000.
