A Lamont couple was arrested in Stillwater after
they reportedly tried to steal more than $800 worth
of beer and meat from Walmart. They then lied and
told the arresting officer they left a baby in the car because they didn’t want to go to jail.
On June 14, a Stillwater officer was dispatched to
the store in the 100 block of N. Perkins around 1:49
p.m. due to some shoplifters. An employee told him
she was walking around the store when she noticed
Amber Dawn Lewis, 24, and Brad Wayne Honeycutt,
28, acting suspiciously.
According to the police report, the couple was selecting large quantities of meat and beer while “looking around quickly.” They then walked to the garden
center and selected a large tote.
The couple walked toward the front doors while
adding even more items to their already full shopping
cart. They continued walking out the doors, passing
all of the registers without paying for anything.
At this point, the employee said she made contact
with the couple and asked them to go to her office.
Lewis and Honeycutt were uncooperative at first, but
they reluctantly agreed to speak to the employee.
The couple had managed to put $845.40 worth of
merchandise into their cart during their shoplifting excursion.
The officer met with the couple, and they told him they had left a 6-month-old
baby in the car.
After more questioning, they said the car was running with the air conditioner
on, and the baby was being watched by a physically handicapped cousin.
Lewis eventually admitted that she was lying about the baby, because she
thought it would keep them from going to jail. She was wrong.
Honeycutt is being charged with grand larceny. His bond was set at $5,000.
Lewis is being charged with grand larceny. Her bond was set at $2,500. They
are both scheduled to appear in court on July 6, 2015.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol
With all the water we have received this
year, there seems to have been a large number
of drownings so far on Oklahoma lakes and
waterways, the majority of which could easily
have been prevented. I am going to cover some
of the rules on wearing Personal Floatation
Devices, as well as some strong suggestions
regarding them, in the hopes that we can slow down this alarming trend!
First, let me just say that there are 5 types of PFDs. I’m not going to get into
their descriptions, just which types are required for what situation. All PFDs
must be U.S. Coast Guard approved, and used in accordance with their label. The
label will also state the type. All vessels must carry one wearable (Type I, II, III,
or V) USCG approved PFD for each person on board or being towed. In addition
to that, vessels 16 feet in length or longer must have one Type IV USCG approved
PFD on board and readily accessible. Oklahoma Law requires that all children
under 13 years of age wear an approved PFD whenever underway in a vessel less
than 26 feet in length. Each person on a personal watercraft or sailboard must
wear an approved PFD. Anyone being towed on water skis or similar devices
must wear an approved PFD. Ski belts are not approved PFDs.
Now, besides being USCG approved, all PFDs must be: In good serviceable
condition. They must also be readily accessible. Readily accessible means
you must be able to put the PFD on in a reasonable amount of time in an
emergency. PFDs should not be stowed in plastic bags, in locked compartments,
or have other gear stowed on top of them. They must also be of the proper size for
the intended wearer. Sizing for PFDs is based on body weight and chest size. A
good way to test this, especially for children, is to put it on, adjust the straps, and
have the wearer raise their arms up, and try to pull it up off them. If it can come
off, it is not the right size for the wearer.
Those are the requirements, so now lets talk about the suggestions. If you
have children in or around water, make sure they have a PFD on. Air mattresses,
floaties, and other toy floatation objects don’t count. There have been way too
many stories of toddlers near the water’s edge falling in and drowning, and these
could be prevented by following this suggestion. Also, keep a watchful eye on
those kids...even if they are only out of your sight for a few seconds, its long
enough for them to get in trouble around the water. Last, wear one on boats even
if you don’t have to. In an emergency, you may not have enough time to put it
on. Thanks for reading, buckle up those PFDs and seat belts, and be safe!

A pre-school teacher and her husband are accused of chaining their
14-year-old twin sons to furniture and beating them as a form of punishment.
Brian and Shauna Paque of Texas were both arrested in April and
charged with child abuse after one of their sons ran crying to a Decatur
police headquarters.
The parents were recently released on bond and Shauna Paque resigned
from her job as a pre-school teacher for the Decatur school district where
she was an employee for 11 years. Brian Paque is also a former teacher.
Reports state the boy had a bruised throat, a footprint on his back, and
other injuries when he arrived at police headquarters.
'[He] came through the door crying and everything, just begging for
help,' said Decatur Police Chief Rex Hoskins.
The boy told police that his mother choked him and hit him over the
head with a pan.
Police found the boy's twin brother at an apartment complex nearby.
He told police that his father unchained him so he could look for his
brother who ran off with a camera.
In the arrest affidavit, Shauna Paque admitted to choking her son while
trying to get a camera away from him with footage of the alleged abuse to
prevent him from giving it to the authorities.
'He got a video camera and he was going to film his mother beating his
brother,' Hoskins said.
Shauna Paque later guided police to her home where she hid the chains
used to restrain her sons.
She showed police how she used the chains to attach her sons to furniture.
'Shauna wrapped the chain around Investigator Pawley's ankles a couple of times, then advised that
they would use a padlock to lock the chains in place,' said an officer.
Shauna and Brian Paque are free on $20,000 in bond and face multiple felonies. The boys told police the abuse has been going on for over 10 years.
'They told us this abuse they were describing to us had been going on since they were four,' Hoskins
said.
The boys were removed from the home by Child Services until an investigation is complete.

Noodling or hand fishing is extremely popular,
but can be very dangerous
too. Noodling at night can
be even more dangerous,
and has resulted in several
noodlers drowning, over
the past few years. Regulations were changed, last
year, making it illegal to
noodle at night.
These noodlers were caught illegally noodling at night on June 11, 2015 at
Robert S. Kerr Reservoir. Oklahoma Game Warden J.D. Stauffer (Haskell Co.)
apprehended them with one large Flathead and a smaller Blue catfish, both
caught well after dark, driving around the lake in a pontoon boat without required navigation lights. Remember, please be safe while enjoying our great
outdoors!
All were cited for their violations, cases are pending.
NO NIGHTTIME NOODLING!

Kiefer man Christopher Allen Everman, 28, allegedly
stole a gun during a party so he could trade the gun for
drugs. He was arrested June 9, because he was a felon
and he wasn’t supposed to have a gun, stolen or not.
According to the police report, a Creek County deputy
was dispatched to a burglary at a residence on S. 33rd
West Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. The caller told the
deputy he left his house June 6 and when he returned
at 10:30 a.m. on June 9, his house had been ransacked
and a pistol was missing. He said a neighbor told him
a man had asked him for a ride so he could trade a gun
for drugs in Kiefer.
Another neighbor told the deputy she had a party on
June 5, and one of the attendees was Everman. However, she didn’t see anyone
go into the victim’s home, and she didn’t believe anyone at the party would steal
anything.
The neighbor who said a man asked him for a ride told the deputy Everman
came over and asked him to drive him down the road. He said someone had told
him not to give Everman a ride because the man was going to “sell a gun and
some dope,” so he said no.
Everman later returned to the residence and asked the man’s girlfriend -- she
also declined.
Not too long after that, the witnesses said they heard a gunshot outside.
Everman told the officer that a man came to the residence and asked him to
hold a pistol for him. He said they drove the gun to Everman’s residence on West
141st Street and left it there.
Everman said the gun was still at his residence.
Everman is being charged with possession of firearms after conviction or during probation. He was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in
court on July 17, 2015.

Two 18-year-old Guthrie men were arrested June 9 after
they allegedly drove a stolen vehicle to a nearby church to
steal a tire from a church van to put on a stolen truck.
Brett Cleveland Jenkins and Nathanael Matthew Barker
should probably quit stealing.
According to the police report, Guthrie police located a
stolen truck shortly after 10:31 a.m. at Oak Park. One of the
truck’s back tired was removed from the vehicle and lying in
the bed. The passenger side rear axle was sitting on an 8-lug
tire and rim that didn’t belong to the truck. An officer noticed
the truck’s spare tire was still mounted under the bed.
The officer was advised that a tire had been stolen off a van
from a church in the 400 block of E. Noble Avenue shortly after noon. When the officer went to the church to investigate,
he realized why the tire on the truck just didn’t seem to work
-- it belonged to the van. The van was sitting on a black jack
that didn’t belong to the church.
The officer retrieved the tire from the truck. It was missing
some lug nuts, the truck’s owner was kind enough to replace
the missing lug nuts for the church.
Officers later interviewed Jenkins and Barker after a juvenile arrested for burglary tipped police off. Barker told police he drove Jenkins and a juvenile in a
stolen car to the church so they could steal a tire from a van for the stolen truck.
The juvenile told the same story.
Jenkins blamed other men for the stolen tire.
Barker is being charged with burglary in the second degree, two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle and conspiracy to commit burglary in the second degree.
Jenkins is being charged with burglary in the second degree, two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle, conspiracy to commit a burglary in the second degree
and possession of controlled dangerous substance. They are both being held lieu
of $15,000 bonds and are scheduled to appear in court on July 16, 2015.

What you’re saying
about this on...
Leon S: I had a flatbed trailer stolen one time I knew exactly where I was at the cop
told me to go steal it back. It’s really just a bunch of bullshit to protect and to serve my ads.
I would sue the police department for not doing their job. I bet if you said the guy with the
iPad had a gun there somebody would’ve showed up.? The next time you’re stealing your
stuff back don’t be so freaking honest only thieves and liars get away with stuff like that
honest people always get caught .
April C: I say the guy is a coward because he used a bat. If you’re going to fight a
mans fight honey, God gave you 2 good hands with fists to take care of business. If you can’t
win with them then you need to pull your big girl panties up and go home.
Preston K: His name is fitting
Kristy J: I had the whole top end of a motor stolen out of my racecar. Called the
sheriffs office because I knew exactly who got it and where it was located. Said they couldn’t
do anything the guy was already in jail for assaulting his gf. That was 6 years ago and still
haven’t gotten part of my motor back. So I applaud this guy!!! Hate a thief and a liar!!!!!
Joshua H: Dude is a hero
Michael L: Even better one, at a rodeo I watched people crawl to their vehicles
stone cold drunk, get in and drive off, in front of the police. When asked if they are going to
bust them for drunk driving, said cop replied with “ no we ain’t going to bust them, if we did
then it would bring bad business against the rodeo” Many times have I seen someone tell
the police that they broke into a place, or that they actually stole what the cop was asking
them about, yet the police did nothing, just thanked them and told them to have a nice day.
Oh wait did I also mention how said person threatened to beat the crap out of someone in
front of the police, and they still did nothing. The only person they got mad at was the one
that called them and told them which city ordinance they was breaking, when they trashed
that persons yard.
Rocky C: That’s bs, they arrested him for stealing his stuff back
Teresa T: Good for him. Give them what they deserve for stealing
Roy C: Unfortunately in most areas if you were to report the theft of the items they’d
take the report and file it and then tell you its a civil matter if you locate your property. You
Tulsa police arrested a man after
he broke into a house, beat up the
homeowner, and took an item and
jewelry Wednesday morning.
Authorities said Brian Masingale
was tracking an iPad that was stolen
from his parents house. The tracking led him to a friend’s house where
Masingale searched the house for
other stolen items. Masingale said he
found a small bag of jewelry that belonged to his parents.
Police say that’s when Masingale
beat the homeowner with a baseball bat. The man is expected to be okay.
Masingale called police to give them his side of the story.
“Upon further talking with him, he believed what he was doing was right. Rather
than getting the police involved, he was just going to recover the property himself,
“ said TPD Sgt. Darren Bristow.
Police say he confessed to everything. Masingale was arrested for assault with a
deadly weapon and first degree burglary.
FOX 25
THE BEAT IS ON!!
would have the burden of proof on you and chances are if you took them to court you would
spend more than the stuff is worth. He may serve some time and pay a fine, but I bet that
“friend” won’t steal from his family again.
Sheryl H: Crazy they make no mention if the thief was arrested. I hope they drop
charges, and the bat did not get hurt in the altercation.
Mary S: I like his style!
Allen G: Temporary insanity plea sounds good to me
Kevin G: “He don’t need no stinking badges”. Ha
Jerimy W: Laws are laws, but I’d take that record with pride!
Margaret K: WHERE Is The Outrage ?? What about the real bad guy ? did he
get arrested ???
Marcie L: Not everyone’s first option is to call the police. I’m always amazed when
I see people on the news who say why didn’t you just call the police, ‘because I was here and
so and so was here and they needed to be dealt with.’ The police weren’t going to track that
IPad and then go in retrieve that guys parents items.
Charlene J: Good job. I hope the judge throws this case out. My daughter had
5700 worth of electronics stolen from her and there were witnesses to who did it in broad
daylight that actually told the police who did it, and still no arrest.
Matthew C: Worth it.
Debora L: They should have let him off with community service and fines. I know
from experience that a lot of the time police don’t follow through and get stolen items back.
It’s justice in my opinion and he was taking care of business.
Jeremy B: Good for him. Save time & make sure a good lesson is learned with swift
justice...
Jeff G: Good for him chances are they would have never got his parents belongings
back. I would do same thing in fact I’ve done things similar

KIDNAPPING FOR EXTORTION
Adam Ray Herde, 28, tried to get his gun back by stealing a man’s dog. Unfortunately for the Chandler man, his
plot didn’t work.
On June 16, a Chandler police officer was dispatched to
the 400 block of E. 13th Street around 8:55 p.m. to investigate the larceny of a dog. The caller said Herde stole a
pitbull puppy from his house.
The victim said he was at the lake fishing when a woman
who lives at his residence called him and told him about
the theft. When the man called Herde about the dog, Herde
told him he wasn’t going to give it up until the man gave him his rifle back.
According to the affidavit, the victim told the officer Herde brought a gun to
his house about a year ago. He said he kept the gun for about 6 months, until he
was advised it was stolen. The gun had been returned to its owner.
The victim showed the officer several pictures of the dog to prove it was his.
He said Herde did not have permission to go inside his house or take his dog.
The woman said she saw Herde pull up in front of the house. She went to
get her husband so he would tell the man he couldn’t come inside, but Herde
walked in anyways without permission. After Herde left, the woman noticed
that the dog was missing.
The next day, the officer found Herde at his residence. When police knocked,
they heard a male voice say everyone inside was sleeping. The officer told the
man to open the door. Herde finally did.
The officer placed the man under arrest. Herde admitted to taking the dog because he wanted his gun back. He wasn’t sure where the dog was located when
he was arrested.
Herde is being charged with burglary in the second degree and larceny of
dogs. He was released on a $5,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court
on June 29, 2015.
