PIPE DREAM
A Perkins man was arrested and charged April 17 for allegedly throwing a pipe bomb at The Satanic Temple (TST) in Salem,
Mass.
Sean Patrick Palmer, 49, was charged in a criminal complaint
with using an explosive to cause damage to a building used in
interstate or foreign commerce. Palmer was arrested that morning
and made an initial appearance in the Western District of Oklahoma the next day. He will appear in federal court in Boston at a
later date.
According to the charging documents and TST’s website, TST
is a “non-theistic organization” founded in 2013 and headquartered in Salem, Mass. In addition to serving
as the organization’s headquarters, TST’s Salem location also functions as a public, TST-themed art gallery.
At approximately 4:14 a.m. on April 8, 2024, surveillance cameras outside TST captured a man walking
towards TST wearing black pants, and black jacket, a black face covering, a tan-colored tactical vest and
gloves. According to the charging documents, as the man approached TST, he ignited a pipe bomb—a
type of improvised explosive device or “IED”—threw it at TST’s main entrance, and then ran away. Seconds
later, the pipe bomb partially detonated causing minor fire and related damage to TST’s exterior.
According to the charging documents, the pipe bomb appeared to have been constructed from a
section of plastic pipe covered with metal nails, which were attached to the pipe with tape. The inside of
the pipe was filled with a powder-like substance, preliminarily identified as smokeless gunpowder. A single
human hair was allegedly located on the pipe bomb containing a DNA profile from a Caucasian male.
A six-page handwritten note was found in a flower bed adjacent to where the pipe bomb was discovered. Among other things, the letter allegedly stated:
DEAR SATANIST
ELOHIM SEND ME 7 MONTHS AGO TO GIVE YOU
PEACEFUL MESSAGE TO HOPE YOU REPENT. YOU SAY
NO, ELOHIM NOW SEND ME TO SMITE SATAN AND I
HAPPY TO OBEY. AND ELOHIM WANT ME TO CONTACT
YOU TO TELL YOU REPENT. TURN FROM SIN. ELOHIM
NO LIKE THIS PLACE AND PLAN TO DESTROY IT. MAYBE
SALEM TOO? ELOHIM SEND ME TO FIGHT CRYBABY
SATAN, BUT WANT ME TO MAKE HARD EFFORT SO NO
ONE DIES. I OBEY.
Surveillance footage obtained during the investigation identified a black Volvo sedan, allegedly registered
to Palmer, driving erratically in the immediate vicinity of TST both before and after the incident.
A photograph of Palmer, who is a Caucasian male, posted to a social media website shows him wearing
a tan-colored tactical vest like the vest worn by the suspect in the TST surveillance video. Palmer also allegedly comments frequently on a social media website about religious matters and themes similar to those
contained in the handwritten note found outside of TST on April 8, 2024.
Finally, the charging document alleges that on April 3, 2024, Palmer purchased PVC pipe and matching
PVC end cap—like the pipe and end cap used to construct the pipe bomb—from a home improvement
retailer in Oklahoma.
The charge of using fire or an explosive to cause damage to a building used in interstate or foreign commerce provides for a sentence of at least five years and up to 20 years in prison, three years of supervised
release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon
the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal
case.

UPDATE ON MURDER
INVESTIGATION
According to SPD, on Wednesday, April 17, at
approximately 4 p.m., Stillwater Police Department (SPD) made an arrest for the murder of juvenile, Teedeenae “Jackson” Yearby.
Jackson was first reported missing to SPD in
February 2023.
The suspect was identified as Quinlan Phipps,
19 of Stillwater. Phipps is currently in the Payne
County Jail on a First Degree Murder charge.
On Tuesday, April 23, a joint operation involving officers and detectives from
SPD, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and
Payne County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the recovery of human remains. These
remains are believed to be related to the case of Jackson Yearby.
The recovered remains have been transported to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City for positive identification and cause of death
determination. The investigation into this tragic event remains ongoing, and
the SPD, along with partnering agencies, are committed to pursuing justice for
Jackson Yearby and his loved ones.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact our

DEMOLITION MAN
An inmate at the Lincoln County Jail is now facing another charge after he allegedly demolished
several items in the jail on April 13.
According to the police report, a deputy was
advised that two inmates were fighting in the protective custody pod at approximately 8 p.m. He
told the detention officers to separate the men
and move one of the inmates, 25-year-old Eliah
Lively, to the back detox unit.
When the detention officers tried to move the man, Lively refused to grab his
things and leave the pod. He also yelled obscenities at the officers.
A detention officer warned Lively that if he didn’t comply, the officer would OC
spray him. Lively just became angrier and refused to move. The officer sprayed
Lively, but he still refused to leave the pod. He then began to break items inside
the pod, including fans and the television. He also punched and broke the kiosk
in the hallway, cutting his hand on the glass.
Around 8:08 p.m., Chandler police officers arrived to assist and moved Lively
to the booking bench for holding. At 9:20 p.m., Lively tried to rip the fire alarm
off the wall in the booking area.
Detention staff escorted the man to a max cell at approximately 10 p.m., but
Lively wasn’t quite finished with his spree of jailhouse destruction. Once he was
in the cell, he climbed to the top of the sink and started to tear down the light
fixture in the cell.
Lively is being charged with malicious injury to property over $1,000. His bond
was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court on May 2, 2024. JOSIE

Farmer faces jail for breeding ‘massive mutant sheep’
A farmer has been caught illegally breeding “massive” mutant sheep
to sell to private hunting reserves for up to $10,000, a court in Montana
heard.
Arthur “Jack” Schubarth, 80, who owns a 215-acre ranch in Vaughn,
Montana, pleaded guilty to criminal charges of wildlife trafficking and
conspiracy to traffic wildlife at a court in Great Falls.
Prosecutors say he illegally used tissue and testicles from wild sheep
killed by hunters in Central Asia, and the US, to breed hybrid sheep
for sale.
According to court documents, Schubarth conspired with at least five other people between 2013 and 2021 to
create a larger hybrid species of sheep that would generate high prices from shooting reserves, where people pay
to hunt captive trophy game animals.
Schubarth’s ranch specialises in the purchase, sale and breeding of “alternative livestock” such as mountain
sheep, mountain goats and various ungulates, according to prosecutors. They claimed that Schubarth secretly
brought parts of the largest sheep in the world, the Marco Polo argali sheep from Kyrgyzstan, into America.
Marco Polo males, which are native to the mountains of the Pamir region of Central Asia, can weigh more than
22 stone with horns that span more than 5ft. They are protected species internationally and the court also heard
how they are prohibited in Montana to protect native sheep from disease and hybridisation.
Prosecutors say Schubarth sent genetic material from the Marco Polo’s body parts to a lab to create cloned
embryos. He then implanted the embryos in ewes on his ranch, resulting in a single, pure genetic male Marco Polo
that he named “Montana Mountain King” or MMK, the court heard.
Court documents stated that Schubarth worked with the others to use the Montana Mountain King’s semen to
artificially impregnate various other species of ewes and create hybrid animals. He agreed to sell one offspring to
two people in Texas for $10,000, the court heard.
To move the prohibited sheep in and out of Montana, Schubarth and others forged veterinary inspection certificates, falsely claiming that the sheep were legally permitted species, the court heard. Prosecutors said Schubarth
also sold semen from the Montana Mountain King directly to sheep breeders in other states.
“This was an audacious scheme to create massive hybrid sheep species to be sold and hunted as trophies,”
said Todd Kim, assistant attorney general. “In pursuit of this scheme, Schubarth violated international law and the
Lacey Act, both of which protect the viability and health of native populations of animals.”
The Lacey Act prohibits trade in wildlife that has been taken, possessed, transported or sold in violation of
federal or state law.
Schubarth also illegally purchased genetic material from a Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, the largest wild
sheep in North America which stand around three feet tall and can weigh over 21 stone, to traffic to buyers in other
states. He paid $400 to a hunter for the testicles from one of the wild sheep, which had been shot in Montana, to
breed more of the species and crossbreed with the argali
sheep.
“The kind of crime we uncovered here could threaten
the integrity of our wildlife species in Montana,” Ron Howell,
head of state wildlife enforcement, said.
Each count carries a maximum penalty of five years in
prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing for Schubarth is set
for July 11.
On a Facebook page in his name which features numerous photos of livestock, Schubarth wrote two days ago:
“We have not been able to sell sheep for about three years
now. First time in 80 plus years I’m broke.” MARK

AROUND THE STATE
On March 30, 2024, the Texas County Sheriff’s
Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of
Investigation to investigate the suspicious disappearance of 27-year-old Veronica Butler and
39-year-old Jilian Kelley.
Their vehicle was found abandoned near Highway 95 and Road L, south of
Elkhart, Kansas, in rural Texas County. OSBI special agents immediately began
investigating the vehicle and determined there was evidence to indicate foul play.
On April 13, 43-year-old Tad Bert Cullum, 54-year-old Tifany Machel Adams,
50-year-old Cole Earl Twombly, and 44-year-old Cora Twombly were arrested in
Texas and Cimarron Counties. All four individuals were booked into the Texas
County Jail on two counts of First-Degree Murder, two counts of Kidnapping,
and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Murder in the First Degree.
On April 14, the OSBI, FBI – Federal Bureau of Investigation, Texas County
Sheriff’s Department, and the Office of the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner
recovered two deceased persons in rural Texas County. Both individuals will be
transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine identification, as well
as cause and manner of death. This is still an ongoing investigation. Anyone with
information regarding this case is asked to contact the OSBI at [email protected]
or 1-800-522-8017.
